While I have no interest in these weapons myself, I think I’ll be making a nice profit off the GW1 vets who want these, but don’t want to deal with the RNG bull.

Uh so what is the point of this post? To actually get some help or to complain about the encounter and how you fail to utilize strategy?

A lot of conflicting information here, but it’s all opinion.

Take it from someone who has crafted 6 legendaries.

Assorted tips:
-Save the precursor for last, especially with precursor quests/crafting coming later this year and as soon as 1-2 months from now
-Before getting T6 mats, get your clovers first.
-If you have yet to get map completion done, make sure you prioritize the WvW maps. It’s best to get them out of the way early since it can become a waiting game if you leave it for last
-Do metaevent trains on reset night to get both your gold and karma. Do not spend karma on anything else as it is a scarce currency!
-If you absolutely refuse to do WvW, go for maxing your achievements points, as you are rewarded badges at for each achievement chest
-If you have excess skillpoints (+200), and your legendary requires lodestones, I suggest considering promoting cores. Of course, do a quick calculation to see how much you are saving.

I do not remember the items off the top of my head, but aren’t there some non-gemstore, tradeable item drops that came from previous releases?

i.e. the Rose backpiece, the toxic spore backpiece, molten stuff (even though they already dropped, they may drop even further)

I do not see them including gem store items because, as you said, that hurts them financially. But these type of items could be included.

According to this, there will be a big reward at the end of the metaachievement.

Considering that this will be a one-time reward and we are at the end of LS 1, expect a significantly high drop rate of old skins/items from the current season.

Lol good one. But even farmer like you don’t gamble. You find a spot where you can get a good amount of gold per hours and you don’t farm it too much so you don’t get into the DR. But personally, farming in this game is both boring and is a really bad way to gain gold. I don’t know all farming spot and some can be profitable, but they are really rare.

I didn’t say that. There is so many things that can be farmed and several ways to farm each items. From time to time i found a good farming spot, use it for a while then stop when the spot became less profitable, but i never enjoyed that. Right now, dungeon run are so profitable and way more fun (for me) so i stick with that when i want to make gold. I’m sure there is a lot of spot where you can do a lot of gold farming them, but most of them don’t get you 8-12g for long time, because as more people figure out about the spot, it become more and more exploited and the price drop. I used to farm Charged and Onyx Lodestone when they selling between 2,5 and 4 Gold each, but that time is long gone.

Funny enough, I made 4 guardians to combat DR (which only hits me during the weekends when I farm a ton).

At a minimum you get 8-12g an hour, when you can get as much as 14-16g/h

Actually there are many coming out that can/will challenge GW2.

Final quarter in games sales for 2013 for GW2 was down 25%. Some may view that as player loss or at the very least less interest in supporting GW2 due to it’s current state.

It’s down 25% year over year. Of course you’re going to drop off, because GW2 launched in Q4 2012, hence a large majority of sales came from boxed product that wasn’t marked down

No, it’s just you played probably for more than 3000 hours now, farming gold (or spending most of the time at TP) and putting it almost all to this lottery fountain. (I can see your 1000g in inventory)

Nearly all of my gold comes from farming. I don’t flip on the TP, but speculate, so all my gold that I farmed for quite some time is invested temporarily (about 4000g).

I guess it’s no different than earning a lot of $$$ as a doctor/lawyer/accountant, and then putting the majority of your salary into GICs/Bonds

It’s rather remarkable that you seem to have gotten 4 from a zerg event. You do it often then? I never do any of the world bosses/champ trains/temples.

world bosses/temples are good for sustained income everyday. I don’t do them for drops but for the guaranteed rare.

But yes, zerg content is the best for loot because of the increased rolls for loot.

It is reasonable to expect there will not be new uses.

Considering the teasers we have for Lion’s Arch invasion, and the non-english sites confirming (directly/indirectly) that March 4 would be the last for the rescue portion, we would be getting new content within Lion’s Arch (and the drill).

Of course, however, it could happen that Heirlooms will be acquired in a new way for the invasion portion, which could introduce new items to be purchased.

The people who have very few dropped exotics aren’t doing the right type of content, have low MF or both.

If you look in my sig I recorded all exotic drops from mobs (not including from chests). The more mobs you kill increases the chances of rolling loot for exotics. So a person who farms lots of mobs will have more rolling chances than someone who focuses on dungeons or WvW.

I have about 3500 hours playtime and only started recording a year ago.

Rough total of exotic drops: 153 exotics.

GW2 needs to move from an RNG reward system to a token system + RNG systems.

So if you do lvl 50 fractals and want your greatsword, they can make it cost 30 tokens and reward you with 1 each successful run, while still maintaining a rare drop rate of greatswords.

Hey a little information, but don’t spread it.

People with a lot of gold NEVER GAMBLE.

- People with a lot of gold for playing the game? Get freaking good at dungeon speed run and you will get about 10 gold per hours.
- People that play the T.P.? They looks at numbers and figure out what will be the best investment. They can be wrong, but its never pure gamble.
- People that get several precursor from the Mystic Forge? They use massive amount of gold so they get a average return and set the price of the precursor on the market so they keep getting profit.

If you try a gamble to get more gold ,you are doing it wrong.

There are good players and jerks on all servers.

Why people still purchase keys is beyond me. I purchased about 10 back during release and have not touched them since then.

BL keys are never, ever worth it. Even the permanent contracts are not worth it.

The day Anet decides to include a guaranteed BL scrap in a chest is the day BL keys are worth it (of course they would have to nerf the personal story key farm)

As mentioned in some other thread, these events aren’t really worth doing for the loot themselves, but for the karma they provide.

I haven’t done the wurm yet so I can’t speak of it yet, but I think Teq rewards at least 10k karma.

With the karma nerf last year, I think Anet has made an effort to make these type of encounters more rewarding but not in regards to loot. Karma is one part of that.

Teq is so easy once you know how to do it. You have enough minutes left to fool around.

Wurm is different.

On a similar note, Elaborate totems are going to hit a price it hasn’t hit before – over 30s.

Doesn’t help that I ended up in a bidding war for them.

Alright who did this? Bought all the supply that under 300 is left, and price spiked to a price higher than blood.

Price is unsustainable, but still.

I got two guards to 80 in under 5 days. That includes about 40 levels of total crafting, 20 levels from the birthday reward.

In order to get enough exp farming LA, you need to be in a party and tagging every mob you come across. You need to know the best places to farm (around the forge).

Exp boosts are very handy, especially killstreak boosters when you end up with aetherblade miasmas events near top WP and the bank.

Throw in 15% halloween-themed potions, 10% foods and 10% banner exp + guild passive exp boost, that’s an extra +40 % exp.

Which guild did TC get? At the moment, HB which resides on BG is the largest EU guild that I know of on NA servers ? If an EU guild that is larger than HB just transferred to TC, I think there would be more buzz about it. So far, I have not heard anything. Please let me know which guild it is or I am assuming you are making it up.

Now i know no one remember’s history. The reason BG was slotted to lose season one (among tier 1) was because we lost almost all of our night coverage. We lost RISE and most of MERC to JQ.

I do remember Season 1’s history. BG went undefeated in Season 1 and some can argue they dominated every match. JQ who came in 2nd place still lost by over 50k pts when they went head to head. The only reason why many were tricked into thinking BG was the underdog for Season 1 is due to them losing horribly the few weeks before Season 1 started. It is very similar to what you are seeing now as we get closer to Season 2.

After season 1 we lost ZD and COIN.

BG STILL dominated after losing ZD and COIN. If I recall, they still won every match for more than a month after Season 1 started. BG only appeared “weaker” when EOTM was announced. EOTM signals that Season 2 is approaching since it provides a solution for the queue issue.

Just a word of caution. Tanking for Season 1 may have worked but if people aren’t getting fooled the second time, tanking for Season 2 may backfire on BG.

Well maybe that’s because of all the influx of players BG got after season 1? Not to mention the lower morale from JQ/SoR after a 9 week long match up.

BG may be doomed to fail for season 2.

The server is absolutely stacked to the limit, especially with casuals and random pugs.

When season 2 rolls around, hardcore guilds will have trouble filling their map with their guys since a lot of people will want to leech off them.

The only thing that BG has going for them right now is coverage, which JQ and TC can easily gain with the next few weeks.

So now that the 92,000 price wall has come down, I wonder what price ectos will settle at.
