I want to see the Yak Caravan, can hold up to 10 people and allows them all to move at 33% movement speed rate, but if the Yak Caravan is destroyed all the people in it are put into downed state. Also, if you drive it off a cliff all the passengers die including the Yaks. Would add plenty of lols to the game for me.

GW1: Necromancer – they were one of the most versatile classes in the game with several build options including blood spike, MM, SS, debuff pressure, battery and so many more.
GW2: Guardian – was going to play a necro in GW2, but I didn’t like their skill set or build options which seemed very limited and the guardian skills such as sanctuary, wall of reflection, and shield of absorption are excellent for trolling players.

Depends on your server, on CD people ask for/advertise as mesmers in the JP all the time and will even relay information about invaders in the JP through map chat without any complaints. But then again, all the hardcore PPT FOR LIFE people transferred off a long time ago.

Just for clarification, if you transfer from Tier 7 to Tier 5, does that still make you an elf because you transferred from a relatively losing server to a relatively winning servers or is it only people that transferred to Tier 1? And if you became an elf by transferring to Tier 1, can you transform back into a dwarf by transferring to Tier 3, or are you forever bound to your elvish fate? Does one become more of a dwarf by transferring down more tiers, or is their dwarvishness only determined by how much the server they transferred to is losing in their current match up? These all seem like highly relevant issues.

Yep, I haven’t done any fractals and I don’t do the daily’s or monthly’s religiously so it’s a long process to get ascended gear. It was mentioned that ascended will be available for badges of honor in the future, of which I have about 5k, but I’m not sure if that means next month in the future or next year in the future.

The quality of our CD WvW’ers keeps going up, full of fire and fight even when outmanned on all fronts like last night. I wish the departing/departed bandwagoneers well, its a game for fun and all, but… traitors!!! You’ve made a mistake.
I’ve sort of scoffed at the notion that the servers are really much different from each other but I’m beginning to think they are developing their own personalities – I really like our current opponents, fun and respectful unlike a couple in the past. It’s fine. Thieves can spam AoE weakness with treb, Rangers can give all siege bonus damage(spirit of frost), Engineers can have their turrets out while operating, Eles and guardians can swap out and drop some anti projectile fields… Every class got something to offer on siege…
Guardians Sanctuary and Wall of reflection DO NOT stop Siege projectiles of any type.

This issue makes playing a lot more difficult than it should be, especially if you are playing a class that needs to chain multiple abilities on the same target. There is a thread in the suggestions forum started 6 months ago that asks for an option to disable right-click targeting, and a red response in the thread from 5 months ago stating that they are busy with making content at the moment but will look at it when they get the chance.
There were plenty more with their tags off lol.

Not to mention most higher tier servers are overflowing with gold and will pay for guilds to transfer to them making the transfer essentially free, while lower tier servers tend not to do this resulting in a system where it is actually more expensive to transfer to lower tiers than higher tiers.
So you want people to be able to pay the same price for transfering to crystal desert then jade quarry?
I didn’t say that, I said playing around with server transfer prices is a poor way to provide an incentive for people to transfer to lower WvW-population servers. A game I played a few years back called Aika had a similar system of servers fighting each other, and they gave in game buffs to the servers with low populations providing them with massive xp buffs, loot buffs, and free chests at specific levels that gave you cash shop items. So people had to choose which they value more, winning, or having a much easier time leveling, making money, etc. I think first GW2 should find a good metric for measuring WvW population, and then implement a similar system. If you had to choose between being Tier 1 and having no buffs, or being Tier 8 and having a permanent 100% magic find, 100% xp boost, chance for enemies to drop BL keys, etc. there would be a lot more people willing to transfer down a few tiers.

I think the guilds that left will be a good fit for tier 2. If they were stressing out that much about losing a lot of points when they weren’t playing because of our NA, then they probably take WvW a lot more seriously than most of CD. When they were here they logged in, wiped zergs, and capped towers. Now that they are on TC, they will log in, wipe zergs, and cap towers. Only difference is the number you see by your server name.

Haven’t played a thief in 2-3 months and after a couple of games was still able to kill everyone in a couple of seconds and stealth my way out of any mess no matter how much I screwed up. Had the highest scores in the games I played by a large margin and even got someone to whisper me “l2p” after killing him multiple times effortlessly. Thieves have nothing to complain about.
Edit: Also tested out the perma-stealth build and it still works quite fine.
Typical empirical proof in these kinds of discussions: Someone can kill someone with something so that thing must obviously be OP.
Please point out where I said thieves were OP.

Tell me though, why is it that the sPvP leaderboards are mostly Guardians and Elementalists?

Okay, first off don’t tell me what points I’m trying to make when you don’t understand them. The OP posted about how weak thieves were, I said they are not weak and have nothing to complain about. Right now, thieves, eles, guards, and mesmers are all very solid classes and if someone posted about any of those classes being weak and underpowered I would give them the same response. Second, this is the WvW forum and the OP is discussing thieves in a WvW context. sPvP is a completely different game from WvW and using an imbalance in sPvP to justify a change to WvW balance is nonsense. When you are fighting other players in wide open areas where there is no capture objective, bunker type builds (which most guards and eles run in sPvP) lose a lot of their effectiveness.
You guys really loved those guilds don’t you?

Depends on the commander. Sometimes I see a commander say “PUSH!” and after charging in I notice I’m the only one who actually charged in and everyone else including the commander stayed put.

I think a distinct difference between dead and alive enemy’s would be nice as well.
Dead enemies have an empty health bar and cannot be targeted, alive enemies have a non-empty health bar and can be targeted. Pretty distinct difference.

Would be nice to display top 1000 players per server in WvW kills/captures/defends/dolyak kills/sentry kills etc. That way you can still see your position on the ladder even if you aren’t in the top 2 tiers playing hardcore WvW all the time.

Believe it or not, most people don’t play WvW to farm loot.
Also, tip! Don’t keep running on the same direction the thief was running to when he hid, we never keep going that way. :p

Lol, a better tip is to just not chase thieves. If you chase the same direction, the thief will see this and go a different direction. If you chase a different direction, the thief will see this and go the same direction.

I don’t think anyone takes anything maguuma says seriously, luckily it looks like they will be in tier 3 for at least a month given the way the score evolutions are panning out.

You can bug the camera using the SAB event, just exit the instance while in a boss fight and the camera will stay all the way zoomed out. Then you can enter WvW and have a much better view of fights and your general surroundings.
I wouldn’t really go around promoting zoom bugs. These are a big problem in T1 with people using zoom hack methods to see much more of the map then you should be on an arrow cart and allowing them to take down defensive siege.
If there was any kind of change to the camera zooming distance, it would have to reset/ be limited when using siege (i.e. zooms you back closer to the siege).
It doesn’t provide any viewing angle advantages that you can’t already achieve through adjusting the aspect ratio in windowed mode or by using a multiple monitor setup, both of which have been known about for months and had no changes implemented.

It happens when the person’s location is out of sync with the server. The server is saying they’re in one spot while on their client it says they’re at another.
This is the problem. I have the same thing where I press the button to rez and my guy just twitches around a bit but won’t do anything, then a few minutes later I’ll see the dead corpse switch to a different position a few feet away and when I run over to it I can rez it now. Even though the actual corpse location is desynced, it will only give you the option to rez at the incorrect corpse location for some reason.
You can always transfer off to a different server such as SF. If you’re selling legendaries I would guess that the transfer fee is pretty small potatoes.
