Her guards, the Seraph, have failed to protect the common people from Centaurs
The Seraph drove the centaurs all the way back to Harathi Hinterlands, destroyed their strongholds and wiped out their leaders. I wouldn’t call that a failure. The only reason centaurs still run around human lands is because every zone is frozen in time.

The asura are not natural geniuses. They were exposed to the technology and science since they were progeny. Any race that experience the same level of exposure and interest would be with par.
Not entirely true. The fact they have all this technology and science to begin with shows they are generally smarter than the other races of Tyria. All this advanced technology/scientific knowledge they expose their children to doesn’t just grow on trees.
I mean I could agree with this argument if it was for a certain percentage of their population. But if an entire race is this advanced and so far ahead of other races in technological and scientific fields, I’m pretty sure it’s because of more than just better education.

Being a genius is being smarter than most people in the society we live in.
And they are.
They are generally smarter than humans, norn, charr, sylvari and pretty much every other intelligent race that’s around on Tyria right now.
I get with ‘society’ you only meant asura society, but I think you should look at Tyrian society as a whole. Tyria is not like Earth where there’s only 1 intelligent species.

For any naysayers…
Yes, playable Dwarves are possible to make so let’s not go there. I can provide a counter argument for any and all opposing arguments
Sorry but no.
It’s an established fact that dwarves are a nearly extinct species that lost their ability to reproduce centuries ago because of their irriversable condition. And even if it could somehow be reversed, their numbers are too small and too spread out to sustain a viable gene pool. The remaining dwarves are(were?) slowly being wiped out by the destroyers through attrition. The few dwarves that still exist on the surface are preoccupied.
Now, no longer interested in maintaining their solidarity as a race, the last dwarves scattered across Tyria, finding battles to fight in the deep caverns or making new homes in far-flung hills, ever-watching the borders where caverns emerge into the surface world. Those few individuals who can rightfully claim to have met a dwarf in their lifetime are rare, and all speak of the strange, driven passion that consumes these few survivors. It is unclear how many dwarves survive. Only two are known to have survived: Magister Ogden Stonehealer and Rhoban Orebreaker.

Guys, this isn’t because you personally don’t see the competition that this isn’t one for others. I personally don’t play pvp for competition, that doesn’t mean I won’t let other do so if they want.
This is the problem … the OP thinks it’s unfair that he’s 4 years late to the race, so he want’s Anet to rig the competition for him, even though gaining AP is a participation reward.
This. It’s not about who has the most AP and it’s only logical you can’t catch up to people who have a 4 year headstart.

Ideas for new Guild Hall items
in Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns
Posted by: Windu The Forbidden One.6045
A blue or green screen, would be great for screenshots.
I already found a pretty good bluescreen in-game, but having one in your guild hall would still be great for all the artists out there.

Surely the risen are all wiped out by now, it’s been years since Zhaitan’s death. I get there are still lots of risen in Orr because each zone is frozen in time, but I don’t expect to see risen in any of the new zones. Unless the other dragon start making them using Zhaitan’s Death powers.

Happens to me on a regular basis, it’s actually quite funny lol.

I’m using a R.A.T. 7 gaming mouse with a second scroll. I set that scroll to left click if it rolls to one side and right click if it rolls to the other side.
That way I can click really fast without breaking my mouse button or breaking the macro rule. The macro rule is that you can use macros as long as one keystroke = one action ingame. With this method, one scroll tick = one action in game so it does not violate that rule.
But ever since we can mass salvage and “comsume all” I rarely need it.

The writers at Arenanet seem to be experts when it comes to leaving loose ends.
Logan, Zojja, The Pale Tree, The Nightmare Court. Apparantly neither of those were deemed important enough to properly adress.
And that’s just the recent stuff, the personal story is filled with it. Take the Lost Sister story path from the Human personal story for example. You hear that your long lost sister is still alive and you go to rescue her.
Then never hear from her ever again.
Your long lost close relative that you grew up with recently returned in your life. No big deal or anything…
This was just so baffling to me I honestly couldn’t believe it when I first experienced it. I was convinced there had to be something, some continuation of that particular story. But there wasn’t.
But that’s a different topic.
I said it before and I’ll say it again. HoT needed an epilogue to properly end the story arc and tie up all loose ends. Not stop immediately after killing Mordremoth. It would be like a movie where the screen goes black and the credits start rolling at the exact moment the villain dies.

Why would you want a downgrade of the current system with a permanent makeover kit? Time limited things is kitten.
1. There is no permanent total makeover kit.
2. Those permanent kits are more rare and expensive than legendaries..This would be anything but a downgrade.
Permanent is permanent. What is the total makeover kit? Oh that’s right – permanent. It’s consumed in the process, true. It’s still permanent, unless you buy another and change it again. You can preview all the changes in the editor.
We also already got the preview NPC and you could create a new character and delete if it you want.
Changing a character a million times in a month is not the RPG way. While we can change outfits at will, Anet even activly restrict us changing the character too much. We still dont have race change.
lol.
He meant for the ability to change your character at any time to last 30 days. Not the actual changes you make, that would be insane…

This new armor Taimi is wearing.
Looks like the regular armor that scarlet was wearing o-o
Meanwhile all I wish for is a proper cape backpiece.
That was Magitech armor, this is not it.

I had the same experience some others described. Just as the destroyers overwhelmed me Lazarus showed up. It was epic.
I was actually slightly annoyed when my PC was so rude to him because at that moment I wanted all the help I could get. I understand why he/she did it but still, even if he is just manipulating us it can’t hurt to just play along, let him think he got us fooled.
~Sincerely, Scissors
The weird thing is, I “knew” this.
A while ago I could’ve sworn it was mentioned somewhere in the game, that when an Elder Dragons dies the other ED’s become stronger because they absorb the other dragon’s power. Though I could not remember where I heard/read this.
I took it to this forum but everyone stated that it wasn’t true, nor was it mentioned anywhere in the lore. So I just assumed I just imagined the whole thing.
But here we are..
EDIT: It’s still possible I imagined the whole thing and this is just a coincidence, but who knows..

Teleport camera?
~Sincerely, Scissors
Oh, and by the way, i’m 120% sure that Lazarus lies to our PC.
Enacting his revenge and protecting Tyria from Primordus and Co are his 2 goals, and they don’t seem to be incompatble to me…
He probably wants to use Aurene for himself, and is playing a charade with every sides…
His offer to work together is probably genuine. Not out of the kindness of his heart but simply because it’s necessary to defeat the elder dragons. After that, he’ll probably turn on us.

SPOILER: Why was this even added?
in Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns

Seems to me they were shipwrecked and stranded there for quite a long time. One of them even says “We’ve been here for so long..”.
Something must be affecting their minds though since they all seem to act really weird. Or maybe that’s just what carnies are like.

Indeed this episode was amazing (The previous one was also great).
Good lore, good writing, great map and interesting gameplay (not those terrible boss fight mechanics from season 2).

i want her to die already.
Not going to happen. She’s just a child, anet is too PC to let children die.

I want Taimi’s new armor for my Asura characters

Cool, maybe now we’ll get to kill all elder dragons before 2050.
Also we now know the Deep Sea Dragon’s name starts with an ‘S’.

Please make the Phoenix Light Armor Skin into an outfit.
This outfit would go really well with my Ranger, but I can’t because it’s not medium armor.
And take away my ability to mix n match It?
How about no.
I think he meant also, not instead.
That’s not what the post said but if that’s the case then I don’t mind.

Largos tend to stay close to the ocean and other large bodies of water. This is probably why we didn’t see them in the maguuma jungle. I suspect they will play a much bigger role when we go to face Bubbles.

Asura! I’d love to have one as a pet.
Later on the same day .. the Asura has a new pet: You
They can do that
Lol probably

Just sayin. Dudes are advertisin that the new map is “metal”. The skulls and fire, yes. Karka, no. If you wanted “metal”, should gone for undead, demons, or dragons (dragons are more 80s metal, nowadays).
What are you talking about? I don’t even..
Perhaps, this: https://www.guildwars2.com/en/news/ember-bay-behind-the-scenes/
I enjoyed it; I hope there’s another ‘Frame by frame’.
Ah I see, I was wondering what this was about.

Zhaitan was a dragon, so is Kralkatorrik in the book and Primordus in gw1. I hope the same thing is true for Jormag and Bubbles. I don’t want to fight a landmass, or a forest or a mountain range. I want to fight elder dragons.

Guild Wars 1: oh, Destroyers are immune to burning, let’s change my skills.
Guild Wars 2: oh, Destroyers are immune to burning, better make a post of this bug, I don’t want to have to change my way of playing, I want anet to change to game to cater to my playstyle!
Yeah because gw1 and gw2 totally have the same skill system and build variety…
Not saying destroyer burning immunity has to go but this is just a bad comparison.
Also mobs in gw1 often had weaknesses to make up for their strenghts.
I’d say make the destroyers more vulnerable to the chill condition, maybe even take damage from it. Not only is this more balanced, it also makes sense.
~Sincerely, Scissors
I’d be fine with a burning immunity as long as there’s a weakness to make up for it.
~Sincerely, Scissors
I guess anet is doing the same thing they did with HOT.
LS season 3 is going to lead up to the next expansion where we kill another dragon (likely Primordus). And since they stated they are going for faster expansion output, I think it will arrive in Q4 2017.
Don’t quote me on that though.

I don’t want this with Primordus. I don’t want him to be a volcano or a river of lava. I want him to be a gigantic and terrifying monster with wings, like Zaithan was.
When I first read about the Elder Dragons they were described as being as big as mountain ranges. Zaithan.. well, he was kinda big, I guess. As for terrifying… uhm…
I secretly hope we discover that the ring of fire IS primordius. That is, that the islands are the tips of spikes on his back and the earthquakes are just him stretching. I know it wouldn’t quite fit in with the image of Primordus moving around under Tyria ..but darn would it be impressive.
Zhaitan looked pretty awesome imo. https://dviw3bl0enbyw.cloudfront.net/uploads/forum_attachment/file/130103/zhaitan.jpg
~Sincerely, Scissors
I just hope he is an ACTUAL DRAGON.
You know, a huge lizard with wings.
I really did not like what they did with Mordremoth. “The jungle is the dragon”, “we have to fight his mind”. And in the last battle we fight a large head on a tentacle…
