Way to revert special mini made in forge?

No it is not possible.
Maybe one day, no one knows…
I find it kinda hard to see it happen… afterall if you could that, you would not have to buy 2 sets of the triple mini packs from events to get them AND the special one.
However… I would not mind it. I don’t need it and would likely never use it, but not against it.

I am not a hero

I decided to write a little thing for my sylvari main and how she perceived it all. It has a lot to do with the Living Story, so i think here is appropriate. A bit late, but well… it just came to me now.
———————————————————————————————————————————————

I am not a hero. Some people call me that, but it is not what I am. I am but a sylvari following what I believe is right, that is… I think I may still be learning just what that is.
I remember when I first woke up to the beauty of the Grove, my home. I was so filled with wonder and curiousity… in many ways I still am, but it is just not the same anymore.
I thought the world looked to be wonderful and life could not be anymore fantastic. I suppose I was innocent in a way back then.
The peace and wonderment did not last forever, my dream had shown a dragon to me and as a sylvari the dream is not something you deny. I had to kill Zhaitan. I did not realise how tremendous the task would be or how painful it would become. I lost some good friends to achieve that goal and I found out that life is very precious and fragile against powers like that.
Whit the defeat of Zhaitan, in which I played only a minor role, despite higher praises. I hoped for a more peaceful life… well I still wanted to travel, see the world, I wanted my wonderment back. But then trouble hit again. I suppose I did not have to, it was not my wyldhunt, I finished that. But my heart, if sylvari have such, could not bear to stand idle by when people where in need of help.

I was surprised when Scarlet showed her face and understood that she was behind what had happened in the months that had passed, and what she did after we first saw her. Untill then I thought the only real danger was from the dragons, I could understand that. I understood that not all people are good and that the sylvari fallen to nightmare was bad, but they somehow did not seem all that terrifying. Scarlet showed me something new… real danger, real horror, real evil…. does not have to come from dragons, it can come from anyone… Scarlet had not always been bad… could this have been me? That such acts could come from anywhere scared me.

Lions Arch was not my actual home, my home is the Grove. But Lions Arch was and may again become, my home away from home. Lions Arch was where I truly met and learned about the other races and that we could all live together, Lions Arch was so alive and I loved it there. As a member of the Priory I took in all I could about the history and I was facinated by its survival in the past.
I am not a hero. I just wanted to defend a city which I had fallen in love with and I wanted to protect all the precious lives in it. I just wanted all the pain and suffering to end. I did what I thought was right.

A burn mark have darkned me face… i could be healed… but I want to keep it. It is to remind me that not everyone came out of the city safe and whole, it is to remind me that evil can come from anywhere and to remind me how precious life is and why I protect it.

Do you like Black Lion Chest Keys?

in Black Lion Trading Co

Posted by: Zeefa.3915

Zeefa.3915

I have kinda mixed feelings about them.
I kinda like the surprise element in not knowing what I am going to get, but I don’t like that it is for most part all junk with a very very very rare chance of something good.

I have no idea how many chests I’ve opened, I have bought keys, but it is not something I do often. Mostly when I wanted to buy something else and had leftover gems.

I have had a lucky streak once with them chests, where I got a full ticket and did manage to collect enough scraps for another ticket, and I got both full makeover and a couple of hair kits. But that I account to some sudden extreme luck, because it never happened before and have not happened since.

Now I am not overly happy with those black lion chests as they are now… the chances for something good are just way too low in comparison to what it cost or what effort goes into getting even 1 key. Sooo imo if keys were more accessable through normal play, maybe it could drop from some highend chests? That or the chances for all round more desireable items what we currently get should be higher.

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Zeefa.3915

I have the exact oposite…. I was not really expecting anything fun, because I really think that both the quests in GW1 and SAB were crap and I’d rather have a 1 day gimmick like the good old, gender swap, stickfigures, gwendolls and mini me. Each year I was exicted for what foolish silly little gimmicky thing was on for that day and got disapointed when some noncanon quests was introduced instead. So I was happy when I logged in today and saw something silly and foolish like the bobbleheads today.

SAB (as much as I myself hate it and don’t really want it) will come back I am sure… it have just grown out of it role as a joke…. because too many people thought it was meant to be serious content.

Zeefa.3915

Well I for one find this to be a proper aprils fool thing and I am enjoying it. Brings memories of gender swap, stickfigures, gwendolls and mini me, which was from before the stupid quests that people did not get was meant as joke content and not to be taken seriously, but rather think it is actually canon and should be there all the time…

Now SAB may have been introduced as an aprils fool, but so many people liked it so much and failed so much at getting the joke part that it may actually have ended up being more or less canon because it got so many fans.

If anything those that like SAB should be happy it is NOT the april fools of the year, because that means it is not restricted to this day/month of the year (which it already failed at, being out once before aside from the initial thing)…

So rejoice that aprils fool is back to being some silly little gimmic and SAB may have the chance to be more than a joke once a year.

Elementalist Legendary Armor

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Zeefa.3915

Sounds a bit over the top.
First off I think that when/if we do get legendary armor it will still be heavy, medium and light and not be restricted to each individual profession. So chances are we will be getting on that have to fit both elementalist, necromancer and mesmer alike.

Now going by the off chance that we can get profession specific armor… it just not that simple. Elementalist alone… 5 races, male and female, and you want each of those to have fitted 4 different effects/skins to them? Even if you take away that asura and charr have same armor for males and females for most part and that norn and sylvari for most part follow the human fittings it is still a bit farfetched to think is realistic. Especially when we then also remember that all the other professions would need legendary armor too, without the effect changes with atunements and you got piles and piles of work with fitting, skin effects etc. etc. for 8 professions to 5 races… Yeah I don’t see it happening.

I do see legendary armor being a possibility but I don’t see it be specific to individual professions.

But I am in the hopes that it will be like Inculpatus cedo said. That we may see more giants in new areas when we do get new content.

I can’t give my female thief the underboob armor…. cause she is a charr.
And it is all well that there is a nice looking medium set that only 1 race can use.
I know it is worse for males. but not counting culturals the options for females is very very very very small too in regards to get something that is not a trenchcoat or something liket that.

account bound asc gear + culture armor?

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: Zeefa.3915

Zeefa.3915

I am going to say that anytime you aquire a new ascended item or craft it, it will be account bound. Where before it would be soulbound on aquisition or equip this does not happen anymore and thus you can use that again on any other character.

As for cultural armor I am certain that it will still be race specific. Meaning you can’t wear it, preview it or buy it from the armor vendors, unless you are of that race. Which is a good thing. Cultural armor should stay race specific without other races being able to use it.

Wardrobe System: cultural armor and LS armor

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

@Sera: You got a point there, good thing I had already accepted the having to buy them again already. But then it is only t1 I need for each race… t2 also for my sylvar… don’t have multiples of any race, so wont have all armor classes anyway.

Can see it being tough luck having to buy t1 and t2 and maybe even t3 if you got it only for title and decided not to keep it. But sometimes life is just unfair like that :/

Edit:
@ King xiuras: They know which race yes… but not which class heavy, medium or light. At least they cannot know by the title.

Wardrobe System: cultural armor and LS armor

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

As someone that has also deleted a few cultural sets… because they took up space… I kinda agree with the sentiment to get them unlocked based on the title. But well… had accepted when I read about it that I had to buy the tier1 sets again, so I caaan live without. But would certainly be really really nice and make a lot of people very happy.

The LS skins? I disagree. I am cool with any gemstore skins returning as they just say you were online at some point during that time and was willing to cash out to get it. But those you had to earn? Had to play the LS? No, they should stay exclusive to those that went and got them when they were there. And no not saying that because I got all the skins… infact there are some nice ones that I don’t. But I am cool with that, I chose not to do that content or was not around to play to complete it even if I did want to… my loss. Just makes me think it is kinda cool when I see people with those skins.

Im afraid of April's Fool

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: Zeefa.3915

Zeefa.3915

I don’t see this being their aprils fools joke. I been with Anet (GW1 and GW2) for about 7 years and had the oportunity to experience their aprils fools each of those years.
They have reversed genders for the day, turned everyone into stickfigures, made everyone really tiny as minatures and minis big, turned everyone into fattyhead small Gwendolls. Then came the prank quest with the commando and the annihilater, which I did not like (if I wanted modern warfare I would pick up another game), but it wasn’t mean and lots of people liked it, though not everyone realised it was a joke thing.

The commando quests being the last april fools prior to the release of GW2 they revealed commando as a class on the GW2 site, for lols, for most people with a working brain that was an obviosu joke and got a few laughs. Last year we got SaB again something I thought was crap, but in no way doing any real harm other than a few more ugly weapons walking around (sorry, but that is my opinion). It was alright, though no one seemed to realise it was a joke thing and wanted and want it back at any and all time.

So my guess is that aside from a fake update ON THE DAY! as they always do, which is very clearly a joke as it makes 0 sense from any perspective at all…. we will get either SaB again with the next crap world, or some new joke quest/content, that people can think is serious again and not realise is a joke even though it came out on april fools.

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Zeefa.3915

As someone that loves to make my characters somewhat identifiable with myself I understand what you are saying and I actually never thought of that.
I think the problem is that the majority of people in the world is supposedly righthanded and such it was the natural choice to put things in like that. It may be seen as something only a minority would use or want and thus not been thought as worth adding.
Now I have no idea how things work, and just how difficult it would be to make it possible to make lefthanded characters, if it is too time consuming/costly for Anet with very few people wanting it, they may just keep things as it is.
But all in all I am in support of the possibility of lefthanded characters, as it would be a pretty intresting detail and add to the diversity in a way.

We do not need any un/holy trinity in this game, this game is good without it and it is even a reason for many who likes it. If you really, really want trinity, well there are other games offering it right. I don’t mean that in any hateful way, just… if there was something I really did not like about a game, but I knew others really liked it… I would just move on or learn to accept it as it is. No reason to stay somewhere you don’t like to be.

Would you even WANT a new class/race?

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: Zeefa.3915

Zeefa.3915

I don’t really see any need for any new professions, we are pretty well covered with those we have. I would not mind it, but well… meh.
New races yes, I would make at least 1 character of any new race added. I have thus far gone by a 1 character per race, meaning I lack 3 professions in my set. Now I don’t need all professions, but it would be fun to have have 8 different characters of different race and profession entirely.
But the only race I see as a viable option is tengu… sorry to all kodan lovers, I just don’t see it. Maybe largos… but dunno.

Guild Wars books: opinions needed

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: Zeefa.3915

Zeefa.3915

Well as mentioned before they are not high litterature and by far not the best that fantasy books have to offer.
That said they are really intresting in regards to lore in my opinion.

Ghosts of Ascalon to me was best, but that may be colored a bit by reading it before the release of GW2 and I was super hyped for it. Still. GoA had some loveable characters and a decent pacing imo.

Edge of Destiny I also read prior to release of the game and I think it gave me a much bigger understanding of those main npc’s. Why they do what they do when we meet them. It is decent, but somewhere along the way it just seem to get rushed through a lot in a very short time, losing track of it.

Sea of Sorrows I actually liked. I liked that it was closer to the GW1 time than the other 2 and unlike what others said I liked the main character, he was no perfect hero, he made mistakes, he showed real emotions. It may be more slowpaced, which can be boring to some, but imo it is one of its qualities.

Non of them are particulary hard to read imo (and english is not my first language) though it takes some adjusting to some terms not used in many other books. As background lore for the game they are definitely worth reading.

As a side note my mom read the first 2 too and liked them enough to want to read the last one too, once I let her, and she never played any of the games…. infact she never played any games, she barely knows how to turn on a PC.

They are not exactly that expensive (I think) so I say go ahead and shape your own opinion of the 3 of them. If you don’t give yourself too high expectations you might just enjoy them.

trait changes?

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: Zeefa.3915

Zeefa.3915

It actually makes a lot of sense to me.
Doing content out in the world to gain more power in the form of traits seems very nice and brings memories of elite capping in GW1.
The reason that being able to also buy them makes sense too, is that some content may be really undesireable for some, like WvW is really not liked by all. And some content may just not be all that possible in other cases, as in maybe a low pop server, casual player, with odd times, doing a meta event.

So yeah all in all it makes sense and seems nice to me.

Seraph - Can we, the players, join?

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: Zeefa.3915

Zeefa.3915

While I am not against it, the only acceptable way to do it, would be making it a human exclusive organisation… seeing it kinda is and should stay as such.
Which means a similar choice should be the for the other races imo.
All the races have a sort of guard/police to keep order and peace in their respective homelands…. charr have the adamant guard I belive they are called… asura… peace keepers?
So it would end up very complex and possibly a lot of work for Anet. But it would be a great way to expand on what each race is and can be, as it is now you join one of the 3 orders and you pretty much stop being affiliated with your own race, which is a shame. It would also open up for a new possible tier of cultural armor? I would really really want more cultural armor. Not to mention a motivator to play all my characters again to get the perspectives and happenings of all 5 races.

Important though that those that do not have all races, maybe even just play one, don’t feel they are missing something from the others too much.

Would be the perfect compliment to my shark, instead of the silly jellies or ugly armorfish.
As for an acceptable choice or already ingame creatures I could agree to the deepsea scorpions, they are pretty cool.

Even as a casual player you may eventually reach gold enough to get most stuff in the game, I know it sucks to not be able to get it within a shorter timeframe, but that is how it is for the more casual player.

Takes me a long time to get gold too, took me nearly a month to get just one set of t3 cultural armor. I want a legendary, and will likely have to buy the pre-cursor, but with my progress it will take years to get there.
I have come to terms with it, did in GW1 actually. That I as a casual player will always feel more or less poor, and it will take the better of forever to get the really nice things. It just goes with being casual I am afraid.

Anet, on the topic of a new playable race

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: Zeefa.3915

Zeefa.3915

Nah, I would prefer Tengu first, I have been wanting to play as an Avicara Brave since Guild Wars one.

But then you can’t rename all your toons really cheezy bear puns.

And that is one of the reasons Kodan culture would be in ruins and everything nice about them would be broken and sad the day they got playable.

Seriously though… I can see that Kodan are cool and the facination with them. But I simply cannot see them as playable. For one it would take a race that is strictly polarbears to have to include other bear types, so they can get at least some customization, which breaks with their lore and to me what makes them nice. If they keep to what they are and should be there just is no customization on them.

Tengu on the other hand are not locked into being just one kind of bird, but any possible bird in the world, a varity in plumage, crests and colors. They have a huge city near low level areas. No matter how much you want any of the icebergs to be a city for the kodan, it just isn’t.
I know that as of GW2 alone tengu does not seem overly intresting and so, but they have a long and established history in GW1 and being seen so little in GW2 means it is easier to polish/expand on their design, without it becoming too noticeably weird (like polarbears suddenly not being just polarbears)

A bit off topic, but whenever I see the word dragonite I think of the pokemon of that name…

Now on topic… I agree that playing the way you want does not = getting everything the way you want. Sometimes if there is something you really want, you may need to do something you did not really plan on wanting to do. If you really really don’t want to do what it takes to get something, maybe you just don’t want it enough.

And I barely do any big world events and I have tonnes of dragonite…. can’t even say it is champtrain much, cause I only did that a little bit at some point… think I got from LS chests? Anyways, there is more than one way to get them already.

Not that I would care if you could get them same way as the obsidian shards.

In my opinion, an expansion must hit in 2014.

I certainly want an expansion, a proper big, juicy expansion elaborating and extending the personal story. (To me Personal Story and Living Story is far far far far from the same, and does completely different things).

I don’t mind the LS, I even liked most parts of it. But it cannot replace what an expansion would do imo. Not ever.

Really lovely idea.
Even if it will make me even more of an armor/costumes collector. Really splendid idea.

Deluxe Edition Pack

You only get 1 tome of influence, 1 chalice of glory and 1 mini Rytlock. If you use or get rid of any those, well… not coming back.

You will receive the golem banker on all and any new character you make.

As for mithril box, xp boosters and the armor, those were not in the deluxe edition at start, so even though I got CE (Deluxe + real life items) I don’t have those. But my bet is they are like the first items I listed… if you purposedly delete them, you aint getting them back.

Oh and you may only get one mini Rytlock, but it is ofc. not soulbound but accountbound, so as long as you don’t leave it on the character you delete, it will still be there and useable.

So all in all… do not pick the items from mail, if you are not on the character that you want it all for.

Where is my tengu?

And I thought I wanted tengu to be playable badly lol

Really it is as Belzebu said.
Tengu was in the plans before release, and thus they have the city etc.
However they chose not to add tengu at release… they have said nothing at all if they want to go back, complete them and put them in, let alone when.
Infact there is no real guarantee they ever will be playable.

I hope too that they will become playable, and sooner the better, but I can wait.

What baffles me a bit is… if you don’t like the game with the races we can play now… what makes you think it will be better with tengu? It may bring a little new story and new aesthetics. But all in all the game is still the same, if you play one race or the other.

Rox's Quiver skin for backpiece

What’s his faces armor is still there put it back please.

You mean Braham?

I got it the first time it was in gemstore… back when Rox and Braham was first introduced to us. Infact I got the bow too. Sort of a shame since, the Southsun even followed right after and got me the fervid flower thing, which has been my one true love for my main since… meaning I don’t get to use the quiver and the bow :/

Anyways… I am sure it will appear again some time, so keep eyes open for it. And yeah, why it is not just there always… dunno.

I really don’t understand why it is so popular… sorry but I thought it was kinda crap.
Personally I would be perfectly happy if it never ever returned to the game, so I wont have to see more of those ugly weapon skins around. Sorry but that is my opinion.

However seeing it is so popular for reasons I cannot comprehend, I do think it will come back, though perhaps not permanent. And all of you who like it can enjoy it as much as you want, I will do something else. Not like I am going to be upset, rage or somesuch because of it.

There will always be elitists, no matter what Anet does. Afraid it is a question of learning to deal with it and find other ways to get groups.

My guild have been helping members to level in AC and we have made some nice casual runs of CM, which went really well.

So yeah maybe find a guild suitable for your needs? Or as others said specify your lfg, though you will likely get to wait longer.

There are people willing to help out in the open pve too, trust me. Even if they are spread out far and wide.

Looks like a mix.

Boots are TA.. I think
Legs seem to be tactical…
Chest could be stately… but not sure…

So yeah a mix of several different sets. I say try if you can replicate it in PvP locker maybe.

A-Net Questionnaire = 400Gems?

Well they would not send the questionnaire to everyone. They don’t send to everyone with Christmas Greeting Card either. You have to be lucky to get any of that. Doesn’t matter how long or how much or simply how you play.
That they give a reward to those among those who get the questionnaire, that answer it (did that make any sense?) a reward is well… an incentive for those lucky kittens that do get it. Supposedly it is normal to give something for filling those things.

There have already been other topics on this and been stated from an official side, that if you aint got it by now you are not getting it.

So suck it up and accept that you are not one of their chosen, be bitter if you want, but it wont change anything.

Oh and before you think I got it… then no… I never get anything. Didn’t get this questionnaire and never got their christmas card, in my 7-8 years of playing their games and supporting them. Life is not just not fair.
