So I agree that the game needs more content, interactions is not a bad idea, would definitely be great with guild halls.

But mounts are still a no, the game does not need mounts, nor do mounts fit in. The only acceptable “mounts” are those we already have (the broom and drill toys and the wvw siege golems).

This is not a bad post… some good elements, but can’t agree with all the wants.

The longer it takes for anyone to have full set the better. It was alright as a few extra pieces. But now one will get blinded (and not in a good way) by anyone in radiant.

I’m just waiting for the white knights to come in and justify this brilliant development.

I may once have been one of these white knights, I loved the game dearly and I had faith in Anet, even if, even then, they were not perfect. I saw past their little mistakes, thinking that in the greater scheme, things would be alright… but my love is fading and my faith turning to sadness as I see what I once believed in and my hopes for the future turn to dust. I can no longer truthfully defend, the things that they do.

Seriously though… I still love the game… Anet CAN make great things… but they are going in the wrong direction…

Old Miniature Achievements locked out

Zeefa.3915

While it bothered me at first that I could not progress the old one, I am over it. Just move it to historical achievments, where I already have partially completed achievements that will never be fully completed and where that is perfectly fine for me.

Yes it is a bother… I was only 3 minis away from the set 1 collection… and guess what I still am, I am still getting the same points as before when I get those last 3… actually I got more achievement points than those who will do it post patch… so I wont complain. Go with the changes.

Just needs to be moved to historical section.

Kinda underwhelming in its entirety yes.
I do like the thing about minis, but that is it.

I am completely baffled by the “making it easier to lvl” it was never really that difficult in the first place… very simple learning curve… is it really needed to make it even easier? How helpless do they think the playerbase is?

I used to defend LS and loved this game.
I still love this game, but I can’t find it in me to defend LS anymore… I defended it because I thought it was merely filler content untill we would get expansion/campaign… when I realised this was likely not the case I just became sad, even if I still love the game.
I often log in just to log out again within a short time, because there is nothing all that enjoyable for me to do… nothing new.
I do every new chapter of LS still, trying to enjoy it for what it is… but after that hour or 2 I just feel… empty… going to to feel bored for the next 14 days untill the next one comes around.

Outfits!!!

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Zeefa.3915

I agree that it is a huge shame that these aren’t mix and matchable. That being said, you can remove the mask on the Assassin outfit. You just need to untick “show helmet box”, although you can only remove the mask (not shoulders or gloves).

^this.
I originially thought that all outfits for some reason had no show of the headpiece at all for charr… turned out that it was because her normal headgear was set to being hidden, which then affected the outfit. So wether you want to show/hide the headpiece is changeable at least.

Remember that outfits was once costumes, which was unuseable in combat, but only for strolling through towns and costumebrawls. so while you could mix costume pieces, it was never possible to mix them with regular armor.

Ressing people doesn't reward you

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Zeefa.3915

I can sort of understand not ressing at the big events, especially if all dead, I for just wp and run back as fast as I can and hope to get there in time. If the event is like seconds from completing I wait to be ressed after, hoping I got enough dmg in to get my participation.

But out in the world, anywhere from random heart quest to minor events, to some random killing somewhere… if you come by someone that died, you should ress them, I know I always do, I even take a detour sometimes if I see someone dead or dying just off my path. I’ve had someone see me fighting right next to him, I died about the same time as the last enemy in that place (had used the warrior downed skill, that gets you up temporarily), he stands right next to me, if not partially on top of me…. stand still for a second and then runs away… now that made me angry, because ressing me would have taken mere seconds out of his time.

(just to note, my warrior is still low level and I am not really too familiar with it)

Cloaks? Again...

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Zeefa.3915

Racial/cultural back items maybe? Like the armor.
Some kind of cloaks for norn with skin and fur, something (not necessarily capes) with flowers and thorns for sylvari, clothy capes for humans and so on.

That way each cape/cloak or whatever else they can think of to fit each race, would have to be designed to actually fit the individual races in everything from style, material to actually matching body structure and size.

Ofc. we would then have people having 1 race wanting the back item from another… even though it wouldn’t fit them at all. But you can never make everyone happy.

I for one would love more cultural armor sets (exotic tier?) and why not make back items part of that.

I’m sorry op but your post just looks like yet another random rant.
Ok so I am a little disapointed with this feature update so far, but oh well, not like I expected anything in particular anyway.

Even if it is visible for those that are up there, it may still be subject to change untill someone actually gets there… right? I mean the reason we earn the pieces for one set, then the other, before getting boots, is because boots were not even in there in the first place.

I am sure that, more stuff that some will find intresting will be added to the ap chests up the line, be it more radiant/hellfire pieces (kinda hope not, as I already find the effects over the top as it is), some new armor (with less "omg my eyes, I’m going blind effect) or something completely different.

I don’t think they have forgotten us (I’m a veteran too) we are just not in focus for this feature patch, which is alright, I don’t expect every single thing to be appealing to me personally.

I don’t think rng has anything whatsoever to do with wether you have played since launch, was in gw1, if you had a long break or only just started. Some just have better luck than others. (btw I have never gotten a precursor either and the most valuable drops I’ve gotten have been worth 20g tops.) I am not happy with it, but I am not angry either… just kinda… oh well.

Racial Sympathy Limitations are Nonsense

in Lore

Zeefa.3915

@Kasoki
But there is more than 1 option. Everyone regardless of race gets 3 options… for asura, skritt is just not one of them. I think it would be too much to have all races be able to choose all of the sympathies options (which you might as well if you add one to asura). Or do you just want skritt added to asura and nothing else (actually seems to be the core of this), maybe change one of the other choices.

I agree with Shiren.

Racial Sympathy Limitations are Nonsense

in Lore

Posted by: Zeefa.3915

Zeefa.3915

Had a post, it got wiped.

Anyway, sympathy is based off Race, not order. Asura generally dislike Skritt, so it doesn’t make sense for their sympathy missions to focus on Skritt possibly.

HOWEVER, we see SEVERAL Asura who effectively use Skritt as testsubjects/labrats throughout the world.

Fixed that for you. I have never seen them use skritt as helpers or assistants… they barely accept the other playable races as such (though we ofc. do know this does happen. Livia and Scarlet comes to mind). Skritt are never more than test subjects and lab rats for experiments..
Studied yes, accepted and respected as an equal race… nope. Studying something and finding intrest in it (which does happen for asura regarding skritt) is not the same as considering them worth allying with.

Ex. I find spiders ingredibly interesting and somewhat facinating. But I also hate them and find them disgusting and don’t want them anywhere near me. I will study a tarantula through the glass at the zoo, but I’d freak if the glass was not there. I think this relation (excluding the fear) is how asura consider skritt.

All the races have a minor race or 2 that they would not, could not affiliate with for whatever reasons. The reasoning for asura not siding with skritt is actually the one that makes the most sense to me… along with charr and norn not comprehending the unwillingness of the quaggan to fight.

I like that the races diffrenciate a little even after choosing orders. I love the different stories possible. Just pick up one of the races that can side with skritt… or play the skritt storyline with a friend and rp that you went out of your way to help 2 of the minor races.

[Suggestion] The Right Time for Mounts

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

No. If the game has started with mounts and no way points maybe… but as things are I say absolutely no to this.
I don’t always waypoint everywhere, less waypoints might been alright. BUT. Removing them entirely… even if temporary… no thanks. Also mounts does not suit this game, I know the broom and drill could be considered mounts, and those are okay… and other toys like those… sure whatever. Actual mounts, horses, dolyaks… mechanical mounts… no no no and no. Areas like the Desolation in GW1 with the junundu wurms… alright… but otherwise… still no. It does not suit this game. I already see a high risk of eyesores with charr riding horses (really I might cry just thinking…) and/or people complaining that most mounts would be racial/cultural.

Well… there is still no forced, necesarry grind. You can get everything you need, without doing so. Now getting what you want… that is another issue and it is your choice if you want to work for it or not.

I agree though… seems like almost every new weapon set or armor is gemstore/tickets, which is a shame, because while you can still get that lovely skin it is more “hey lucky”, “did I really just spend money on this?” or “well this what I get gold for I guess” never that, “this shows that I acomplished something. Completed a part of the game, I really like this”.

It is perfectly alright for some skins being gained the way they are now, but would be nice to get more to earn like those we can get through dungeons or fractals.

Heres a wild guess… it is not the same people complaining.

Honestly I loved this chapter, I got emotionally into it. I really felt like I needed to protect Taimi and it seemed natural for me to go talk to the Pale Tree (my mother, since I am sylvari) and not just leave. Maybe it is because I play as sylvari, but I could feel the impact of the Pale Tree getting hurt. I may actually have been more imersed than most previous story parts.

Also I would be suprised if no one below the champer was trying to attack the champion too, maybe to lesser effect, but thats what I think.

How about… the rest of Tyria gets unveiled through Living World (like now, but hopefully with more improvements along the way… we need improvements).
And new continents like Elona and Cantha (and others?) through expansions.

I still refuse to accept Living World as a replacement or in any way on par with an expansion, thats not saying I dislike the Living Story entirely, but it is just not expansion like. Would love to have both proper expansions/campaigns for me to buy. I don’t mind waiting a long time for something like the campaigns of GW1.

There really is 1 thing that still makes me dislike Living Story… and that is that it seems that it is meant to replace expansion/campaigns and it just cannot do that. If I my hopes and dreams for the game were true, we would have both. Living Story as it is now inbetween expansion/campaigns (maybe with some improvements), making even a long wait (2 years? XD) acceptable.

As someone in love with sylvari and having one as a main I have always hated the theory about the Pale Tree being connected to an Elder Dragon, unless there would somehow be a good elder dragon… but yeah.

Untill we see it, it is all theories anyways. Definitely looks like… something… will crash the party… and there have been hinted at a death… anyone but not the Pale Tree please… kill Jennah for all I care, just not my mother tree.

I doubt that the dragons champion, which I think is good assumption to be the party crasher, will become a perma world boss in Caledon. Why? Because Caledon is a starter zone and it would be a bad place to put what ought to be one of the harder world bosses. Maybe in a zone bordering Grove/Caledon, below Dry Top. So it is still close on the map, but in a late game zone rather than what is the first for anyone starting with a sylvari.

Some things are just not meant to be permanently there, but recurring, which in some cases is what makes them good. And well… some of us still care about the story, even if you don’t.

Crown Pavillion I see as something that can be recurring, like we have halloween and wintersday events.
Nightmare Tower… well maaaaaybe as a dungeon instance, without touching on how things look now, but should not come back as it was before.

Braham and Eir's "Reconciliation"

in Living World

Zeefa.3915

Well I have mixed feelings about it. For me the story in it is alright, and I like how you are taken out across different maps, for all the tasks. I even get that it is you who has to do tasks that could very well have been done internally, as it is a means to prove that you are worthy of their attention.

I think I would have prefered if it had been instances, like the previous parts, rather than world events with massive zergs during this first week at least. “So I am meant to prove my worth to the norn, by fighting off waves of Svanir all by myself… and this huge mob of other people with the same task” That just didn’t seem right in regards to story. Also with it being more instanced (even if it was group instances, for those who go “mmo should play with other people”) it could have allowed for fleshing out the story more to make it feel less flat for people.
Having open world events like the ones we got could still be there, but something sort of… aside from the main story.

Suggestion: HoM skins unlockable via gemstore

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: Zeefa.3915

Zeefa.3915

Why is it so hard for some people to get that, sometimes there are just things you can’t get unless you want to do the associated task to do so.

There’s a bunch of achievements, minis, skins etc. that I don’t have because I do not like the way to get them… and well thats fine. It’s my choice. Even if it is something else like an item exclusive to some real life event that I have no chance to attend or a promotion for the game only in one part of the world (this is true for some items in many games including gw1) that is fine too… ok maybe I will be a little sad to find out that I can’t have something nice, because of where I live, but thats life and I will be quick to accept the fact and move on. Maybe be a little impressed should I see someone with the item, even if they didn’t really do anything particular for it.

So I don’t even care if GW1 is getting shut down completely and no one can get it from that point on… it should NOT become avaiable in gemstore. I don’t care how few people might have it (but lets face it, a lot of people do have them and more people are putting in the work at this moment), even if it was just 1 single person still active who had them, wouldn’t matter. HoM rewards should stay as they are, for the entire lifespan of the game.

*Spoilers* Caithe Secret revealed!

in Living World

Posted by: Zeefa.3915

Zeefa.3915

Unlikely. Sylvari community share each others experiences, connected through the Pale Tree.
More likely when the Pale Tree tried to stop Ceara/Scarlet from pushing further into the vision in Omadd’s machine, the experience was shared by all sylvari that are connected with the Pale Tree. Obviously the Soundless are a bit outside this, since they choose to meditate to be cut off from the sylvari community. Or so, this is how I understand it to be among the sylvari based on conversation in-game and lore-reading gw-wiki

Sidenote; if you went and spoke with the Pale Tree (pretty sure that conversation can still be activated) after Scarlet died ones character says that it comes with sad news, which the Pale Tree answers that she knows.

Not really correct. Yes sylvari are connected through the dream, but it is not like they know what all other sylvari do or know in real time. When a sylvari learns something, it does become part of the dream, something, sylvari still in the dream (as in not awakened yet) can access, though I doubt they can access everything… thats why every sylvari have a different dream. The shared knowledge seems to be mostly practical knowledge.

The Pale Tree herself might have seen it and know about it, but she could very well be keeping it from her saplings.

OT, I don’t think thats Caithes secret, although I guess it is not entirely impossible.

Yea, coz this armor is totally too skimpy………….

Yes, because one set of armor = all sets of armor.
Yet another misinformed, redundant argument to a justified issue.

There is more than 1 set that cover everything, sure it is not all armor, but it shouldn’t be, cause gasp some of us like the somewhat skimpy armor… and not all of us are male (I’m not). Variation is key, but “prudes” will complain if even 1 armor shows a little skin and attack people that ask for something in the other direction.

I am not sure about making male versions avaiable for female characters… charr and asura are not really all that good an example seeing they don’t have the differences in body structure that humans (and norn and sylvari) have. Now I am not against the idea, more options are always welcome imo.

But in the end what I really want is more armor set, with even more variation in BOTH directions.

You could change over at any time you wished (for a small cost), it was pretty much only a pvp thing, even though there was the ownership of some outposts changeing hands. Aside from the pvp aspect you could play together with people without ever knowing if they were one faction or the other. In a way it is kinda like the wvw setting… imo.

So no. I do not want the races to split up, some minor conflicts within the alliances… sure… but full out splitting them apart… no. I do not approve one bit.

While I agree that some names are just ridiculous or stupid and way way prefere names that at least seem like they could be somewhat lorefriendly.

But I am not ignorant… I know that people will always be making silly and imo stupid names and I will see them even within my guild and friends. Be it lag of imagination, having tried other good names that were already taken and then go f… it or just because they themselves think it is hilarious and “inventive”. Those kinda names will always exsist in any mmo.

Well I am sure many want those things, but I personally don’t care one bit about those things. Not against them mind you. Just kinda don’t care.

For one I don’t think they are in any way at all the most noteworthy animals in the game, though they are intresting.
And yes I am pretty sure the arctodus counts as a bear and the pinipal belong in some other grouping too.

Unfair achievement system

There is nothing unfair about how the system is now.

There is a cap on many AP you can get from daily and monthly, so eventually the veterans will stop getting more APs from that, while newer players still get some from it, untill they too reach that cap.

You are not helping any casual players here… if someone is casual enough to skip some dailies, well maybe those dailies are just not that important.

Exclude Llama miniature from collections tab

I don’t see the need for it. Collectors just need to learn to accept that they can’t always get everything and before anyone getting a fit about it, I will say that this actually includes myself. It bothers me too, to some extend to have a lot of empty spots in my collections… Maybe I did not have the gold/money to get some, maybe I was not able to do some event, thats just how it is sometimes and that is okay.

Not to rain on your parade, but I don’t trust the regular player/costumer to do a very good job at anything for the game.
