Matchingmaking is not good atm. It stacks one side more the other. Having a bigger pool just masks the flaw more. But a low pool makes it obvious.

Would be cool if they allow the winning team in tournament to get a small amount of EXP or maybe tiny chance of getting a legendary precursor. An actual incentive to actually PVP and compete for something.

This however shouldn’t be allowed in hotjoin since it can be exploited like those skyhammer glory/rank farms.

Just think of it as Anet awarding you Hard Mode so it feels more rewarding when you win a 4v5

This si the issue nothing else.. cant fix that with gamechanges. If you make it scramble teams, players will qq on the forums cuz teammates are craaaaaaap as hell and winning becomes more rng.

That isn’t the issue though. It is exaggerated with low population, but the system should be designed to mitigate this

People can also take advantage of this flaw as a reliable means of SYNC queuing together. Also the reason why some get accused of SYNCing but they really didnt, just the system grouping them together alot.

Tbh this guys sounds like a hotjoin hero based off the claim that he made about having the second most tournis played NA thats is not possible to calculate. the ladder does not tell you how many tournis played/won befor the ladder came out and i was rank 40 by the time ladder even came out. Another suggestion to marvin 300+ per champ means nothing at all but that uve wanted to get the title for every class in the game aka hotjoin hero and 300 games is kitten and means nothing. try 1-2 classes its good to know all classes but not good play all so much see as you needed that time to correctly learn your main. once you have 1500+ tournis then u have effectively learned that class.

Skyhammer is AWESOME!

This map promotes & requires an entirely different gameplay which is the key problem for most people that dislike it. They go in applying the same build, strategy and fighting patterns assuming its all that is needed. For most profession just changing the weapon or a few utilities is enough, but many refuse. On top of doing regular damage, positioning now become important for your survival and also your opportunity to kill.

Using the canon isn’t risk free. You need to watch your back and not be tunnel vision trying to shoot the cannon. Position the canon camera angle so you can see when they are about to enter the cannon room. Exiting the cannon room to reset and come back is a strategy, and you got outplayed.

I’m sorry I have no knockbacks or fears on my class but instead Shadowsteps that are constantly bugging out due to the holes in the floor.

This map has nothing to offer me.

A thief is really hard to knock off if they use their abilities correctly.

-Stealth, stand on glass panel, scorpian wire pull, dodge off
-Use steal f1 ability to port back if you get knocked or feared off, or shadow trap or shadowstep or sword 2.
-Use steal f1 to remove stability or sword3 skill and gain stability/fear ability
-Blind them to prevent being knocked back and wasting their CD

i think it helps if you play in Black&White mode.

Server update/glitch/rollback should disband tPVP match and let people requeue, not force them back into a match that would likely be uneven. 1v5 isn’t so fun or fair.

FYI – ESL tourney had 1.8-2k concurrent viewers during the stream (not to mention #s from non-English streams). Maybe Blu can share with us the total number of unique viewers during the stream – but if it’s anything like the other GW2 tournaments, it’s probably around 30-50k unique viewers. I’d say that’s pretty good considering the LoL championship and GvG streams were happening at the same time!

If the disconected guy wouldnt log back or the team cant find the substitute, referee would give 3 options; or continue with the match, forfaith or rescadule the match within 2-3 days if this wouldnt help would be auto forfaith and points wolud go to the other team.
Imo if you check the clanbase system its preaty much perfected and fair.

Yeah, but yoloqueue is pretty much comparable to random pubs that have tourna rules. The situation you explained is more fitting to an actual tournament (I don’t mean teamqueue).

why would it be trolling? u wouldn’t be able to use pase until u lost a team member on d/c. then u’ll get the option to pause it. u could have limited pauses to avoide abusing.

You can D/C on purpose and pause at certain times just to annoy the other team. That or you can pause on purpose to regroup the team mentally and devise a new strategy etc.

I’m pretty sure Anet can program it but its more if they really want to.

sPVP focus is very limited, most of energy goes towards PVE/WvW.

Skyhammer is fun.

Requires a different play style and strategy, but something many players are unwilling and/or uncomfortable changing.

F1 pet skills are not instant, takes a bit to activate, but if you time it works fine.

Dodge attacks and red circles? IF it did that people would be QQing the AI too OP lol. You can easily just swap pet or command it to return to avoid it taking damage.

Well this is Anet support most updated response to this issue or at least what they ‘copy/pasted’

Issues like the one you reported often are complex to resolve, and the time it takes to fix them can vary widely based on the severity and complexity of each issue. Because of this we are unable to provide a timeframe in which the issue might be resolved

I asked in support for refund on transfer, but they didn’t reply. They really should because these transfers are expensive. Basically a whole $25 gem card one way. $50 for both.

He should be refunded; being charged for transferral only to find it breaks your game isn’t acceptable.

As for this thread, I’ve just accepted now that I may as well just stick to my alt account on EU and leave my r56 on NA to rot.

Well support escalated my ticket for a day then closed it. No further contact, response and no resolution. Afterwards I got a support survey asking how well they performed.

Glad eventually someone in support actually understood the bug, took about 17 days, but they finally reimburse me for the transfer gem cost.

Considering how small the current sPVP population and even smaller the # of people that do region transfer for sPVP I doubt the bug will be fixed. Cost-benefit ratio just not worth it atm.

it is not just skyhammer, you can naked farm on any map and reset every few minute.

Your suggestion is “too” vague.

Gotta give specifics. Change X skill to do this for Y profession. If not, then devs might create changes that will be even worse in a different direction.
