I play on a MSI GS70 and it feels pretty fluid, so probably over 20fps but I don’t have my fps meter active so I’m not 100% sure.

It probably is a nightmare for low end machines though

Marjory and Scarlet are both illusions created by Kasmeer, remember during the queen’s jubilee how scarlet was “blinking” all over the place and then was floating during the cutscene?… then how did kasmeer manage to gather all those armies? well, mind control! she’s a mesmer remember?

also there is the weird fact that no one has actually had direct contact with scarlet during any LS patch, even when we fought her she never got hurt, she just disapeared every time… then all the people who taught her stuff? well that never happened, all fake memories set up by Kasmeer.

now that we know the truth… why did Kasmeer do that? well that I don’t know… but mark my words for this will confirm my theory, at the end of this LS arc Marjory will be dead/disappear at the same time that scarlet will be gone.

my prediction:

jungle dragon awakens, scarlet finally breaks free from his mind control, does some magical stuff and seals the dragon sacrificing herself, the sealed dragon remains at LA and his “corruption” turns the whole area into a dense jungle zone, the dragon itself becomes some kind of jumping puzzle

As for Raisin Face…yes, it’s true that children die in real wars, but this particular NPC is probably near the top of the “Endearing NPC” list for LA, if such a list existed. For Anet to kill her off really would be cruel.

Low success event + no loot from mobs = Time/Gold sink ?

Having events that basically require the same people turning up to all servers & running them is in no way any form of “balance”. This game is further & further from the grasp of the common player. The toil of making ascendeds is bad enough, then we find out that there will be stat changes which will potentially make a particular set unviable for the toon you busted your butt to create.

Now we have an event with a high failure rate where there is a multitude of mobs but no loot. Since when did obtaining loot for efforts become a no no?

Farming mobs instead of trying to do an event is one thing, getting no loot from an event that is expected to fail is totally unfair.

Its a game , its meant to be fun, This is more like work than fun.

man, GW2 is extremely casual-friendly, is by far the easiest to catch up when you have to take a leave, I now have like 2 or 3 hrs at most daily to play and i don’t feel left behind at all, also the only ascended gear i have is the one i get from fractals/laurels/guild missions and I can proudly say that have better performance than most players on PvE

remember guys… pick a humanoid class or it will become the next clipping nightmare just like the Charr

100.000 sets sold would be 2.000.000dls, and 100.000 is a pretty conservative estimate… I’d say they are making easily 4MM dls for each new set on its launch period… then you have all the weapons, convenience items, bank/bag slots and the game itself

I just don’t want the armor to be dye-able (people would go skin-tone) or the blue to be able to be switched off because then, ArenaNet would be going further than Tera with skimpiness… we don’t want that do we? :P

so they would go skin tone, but remember that it has this aura and the astral effect, so it will NOT look like skin, if you play a bit with photoshop you can get an idea, besides, the female armor would probably not cover the “tip” if you apply it to real life, so it would look weird…

besides, we can’t rule our lifes thinking on how someone might “missuse” something, the world would be extremely boring that way

regarding the issue, well yeah that spam filter(?) should be removed or at least increase the range of detection, it also happens that if you join a couple of parties in a short period of time it will block you off, that also should go away

the easiest way to fix this would be, the more players that join will scale up the event’s dificulty and scale down the rewards.

this only for events that intend to discourage zerg combat

For me the blue kills it, that kind of blue just doesn’t go well with purple/pink and I like my mesmer full of purple and pink, if some day Anet makes the skin dyeable, then this set will be perfect

I was wondering if its possible to drop yourself off at the point where you used the ticket to get on the ship. Like if i used it in kessex hills i can transport myself back to kessex again from the ship ( without using wp). It would seem logic since it can pick you up from there in the first place.

And second, those skins are 1 time use only right? Do they make armor accound bound or is it still use it on 1 caracter and nothing more.. Since with acc bound i can swap it to other accounds as well. Would a endless version of 1000 gems not be possible.. or maybe adding a endless transmog stone for 1000 gems to the gem store? Since now i have to use a stone every time i find a new piece of gear for my 55 elementalis..

oh man, I’d suggest to wait for lvl 80 to go crazy with skins, I used to put skins every 5 levels on my alts, but it was way too expensive

you know, Anet could still make money with Trans-Stones, just make it so to open the “skins tab” you have to use a stone and there you go.

Zodiac Armor is probably the armor that covers the most skin in the whole game… remember kids, skin-tight =/= nudity, would you accuse a woman wearing yoga pants of public nudity? I don’t think so.

Who keep convincing themselves ascended gear is ‘optional’ and not required for high level play, be that pve or wvw. They keep ringing their: It’s only a 5% stat difference… it doesn’t matter.

Even if that were true any smart and sane individual could deduce that a difference of 5% is more than it may seem. 5% is actually alot. I’ve done the math and it turns out its more.

A warrior with berserker gear, assuming no traits spent, food used or any buffs what so ever has the following stats with full berserker gear and scholar runes:

2083 Power
1614 Precision
69% CD

Same warrior with ascended gear, scholar runes and stat infusions:

2238 7,4%
1661 2,9%
79% CD 14,5%

That’s a 7,4% boost in power, a 2,9% boost in precision and 14,5% boost in crit damage.
Ofcourse someone else can prolly do the math on this and conclude this averages around a 5% boost in total dps output, however the claim most people make is that it’s a 5% STAT boost, which as you can see is not true.

Now to the part about it not mattering. Imagine this: You are in full exotic and get hit by a player for 10k dmg and you have 20.5k health. You can take two of those hits and survive with 500 hp and possibly win the fight. Now said player receives his 5% dmg boost through ascended gear and procedes to kill you in two hits.

Ascended gear + stats DO matter.. they make all the difference in the world. Ofcourse if you are bad ascended gear isn’t going to save you but assuming two equally skilled people the ascended player will come out on top, 100% guarantee.

This is not a bash or hate towards ascended gear, it’s a bash/hate towards people insisting ascended gear is optional and not required for high level play. If you are the type of person that cares about being optimal then not being in ascended gear simply makes you sub optimal.

any smart and sane individual could notice that your 2-hit example is bad, remember that our damage isn’t fixed, to the point where a full exotic player could hit harder than a full ascended, yes, in average ascended will do that extra 5%, but in short fights it becomes irrelevant

that +15% damage and +15% crit chance is just too good to let it go

for extra immersion i’d add a 30% chance of insta death/perma paralisys by breaking your neck for doing it wrong.

but guys, you are not thinking like a real swordsman…

your free hand plays an important role, gives you stability (its a matter of balancing your body weight), mobility (you could use that free hand to get an extra dodge for instance), CC (like grabbing your opponent’s shield… or neck) and for magic wielders it gives you the ability to shoot energy balls

remember that having an empty hand does NOT mean to leave that hand just lying around, you use it… which menas the 4-5 skills

LA doesn’t have enough land mass to sustain itself as a big enough zone to hold a dragon.
