long time ago at the start of gw2 launch grenades was 33% slower till they buffed the speed

for moving targets in PVE aim ahead of them adjusting to grenade speed / npc movement

for wvw its fine for zerg fights / clearing walls and for 1v1 use your rifle to net them get right ontop of ppl and barrage / freeze them and just control them and hug them.

try to fight ppl 1v1 at ranged with grenades they will dance about avoiding grenades

also don’t forget guys barrage and poison grenade now has red circles for enemys so they can see it coming :S

I have no problem with grenades in any content I just practiced a lot and also have a razor naga mouse so all my important stuff is bound

edit this video was shot 15 days after having major surgery while on strong pain killers so I was not very “focused” but you get the point haha

WvW is fine its just big zergs vs bigger zergs with a very very small % of ppl roaming and fighting upscaled / bad geard ppl anyway.

stop screwing enginers and eles over by forcing us into bundles make them count as proper weapons.

anet now that you made IP trait move up a tier its time to buff

Forcefull Explosives – now also increase the radius of grenades by 40

then we can make use of this trait. it would be similar to the ele staff radius trait.

and to be honest this trait needs to include grenades now and stay as an adept trait cos the master and grand master have “must have” traits takeing its spot already

grenades = long range viable in every encounter kit and amazing in WvW for clearing walls zerg fights

bomb kit = very close range good for stack n spank fights can be limited in zerg fights esp when AC etc

in PVE both kits are fine the dps difference is so small when u take into account AoE and special attacks from bosses (ascalon fractal any 1 )

also about grenades and being ground target after a while u will build up muscle strength and get used to spamming buttons. I played WoW from release I Europe till Gw2 release, so I have no problem with the spam and have done it for hours on end.

also grenade ground target has great synergy with its travel time and the ability to nuke walls in wvw makes it very valuable.

btw I run grenade kit throw land mine (both skills are epic fun) and rocket turret (for the toolbelt full zerk = 10k +dmg on 25 stack vuln).

the throw mine skill is nice dmg and the mine field can be nice when kiteing / stacking and the knock back can be very handy for handleing trash in 48 + fractals.

a damage meter would only exclude the lowest performing classes in dungeons.

it would be far worse then what we have now with warrior / guard groups.

it would also lead to massive nerf crys by low dps ppl

and it would kill this fragile gw2 community

the account bound exotic armor has same skin as the orr karma vendor exotics.

the weps more generic. I just salvage them as the weps have high chance for the inscriptions which sell for more then standard exotics anyway.

as for the armor they give ectos and globs of dark matter which is niccer then gold esp with ascended armor around the corner

considering the AR cap 50 was intended to be the hard cap for fractals with current AR scaleing. so please stop complaining that anet revamped fractals and reset every 1 to 30.

in the fractal of the mists u can buy 20 slot bags for uncomman rare and exotic weapons and armor.

can we please now have a 20 slot bag from the fractal vendor for ascended quality items that costs fractal relics also.

perhaps 1k relics per bag to make it for dedicated fractal runners

its called fractal of the mists and will be updated Tuesday.

the dungeon idea you have would need to be instanced for it to stay “challenging” and this is exactly what fractals is for.

2 months later solid tacs developed and we proceed to faceroll the content.

as for group set up maybe its time the whole 3 wars 1 guard 1 mes got nerfed so we have a decent group balance from all aspects of the game like it was intended.

just change it so u CANT enter 30 + with out the correct AR lvls.

if they intend 30 + for the “skilled” players then attach AR requirments and force ppl to be “geard” for the high end pve content.

if u want to play with friend and have a casual fractal lvl 10 is perfect. please don’t come to 30+ with your casual playstyle and ruin it for us who make a lot of effort to be AR capped and worked for our ascended.

so please ANET force an ingame AR check that wont let u enter a lvl if u don’t have enough AR after lvl 30.
it would slow ppl down a tiny bit at the start but then in the long run will make every 1 better players as it would force the low AR low ascended ppl to gear up and run the lower lvls as intended.

I run fractals daily and I know how annoying it is when u see ppl die to agony dmg because they don’t know how to avoid it at 48 due to skipping 20 lvls and having 20 -25 AR and think its “enough”

good players know how to build groups and have great synergy (lvl 48 + fractals)

this way i dont need to spend gold x8 to infuse my ascended gear with +5 power +5 AR the omni infuisions cost like 250 of a t6 and the offensive or defensive cost 100 t6

i play lvl 48 fractals in a full zerk grenade engie and the only condi removal i use is what i have in my medkit skill.

i have no issue in fractals as i normally take atleast 1 support class for a well rounded balanced group. because lets face it u cant just stack in a corner and nuke the boss in 15 seconds in 48 + so might aswell build for a heavy duty tough as nails group.

the living story is not an issue. if it is zerg content u stay with the zerg and just go with the flow.

the aether blades and molten alliance fractals will be nice.

also perhaps the thief is not the right class for you OP, just because you play a class does not meen its right for you.

just to make it clear i am lvl 49 and have no problem with the reset.

why is this i hear u cry ?

they are revamping the ENTIRE system

from adding the instability for a more varied mix of the “same” fractals

to the new AR system which lets u increase it far beyond 55. this meens we can do higher lvl fractals with out needing to use the exploits ppl used wen Fotm launched you know who you are and what you did.

so we start at lvl 30 so what. if you are as “good” as you think you are you will be at 80 + in like a 2-3 weeks along with any of the new sigils / runes for a nice profit to.

then again if u know u wont be able to get 50 + with out using the old exploits then you dont really deserve the lvls to start with.

long story short this new revamp will show who is “good” at high lvl fractals and who is just “good” at exploiting buggy rushed content.

btw anet thanks for the revamp and the new AR scaling it makes ascended gear that much more important for fractals again and not just some pink item for WvW ppl to cry over.

so lets take guild wars 1 as the basis of “expansions”.

it will be new zones content classes

it wont be a lvl cap increase

when ppl talk about “expansion” they use WoW as the basis for it.

an expansion does not need a lvl cap to be an “expansion” all it has to do is expand the game.

id rather have new zones content classes / races weapons with out a lvl cap increase

so when using rocket belt its now ground target and has a very very high arc at its 1500 range.

now as a grenade engineer i can see this being very very usefull for clearing walls when we lay siege how ever

THE PVER inside me is screaming bloody murder for this.

1. alot of dungeons are low roofs / arches etc and when i fire it more then 600 + (for scope) it explodes as it arcs high.

2. underwater combat with this is now very annoying if im higher them 1500 and cant target the ground i cant force the rocket to impact my target during its arc or have the target “obstruct” its pathing. and is now ground target underwater to.

3. its so stupidly low most of the time the target either moves or is killed b4 it hits (this is wvw and events)

the double damage is very nice and it is a welcome change to have it ground targeted.

how ever please can u change its arc so its in line with grenade arc. so it acts as a secondary grenade barrrage in terms of cooldown and dmg as its a non spread attack its single target dmg is nice.
keep its speed just greatly reduce its arc so its inline with the grenade arc.

when will my kits be upgraded to ascended quality to.

im lvl 49 in fractals and have been for a logn time as going past 50 is just not worth it right now.

i have little intrest in wvw really but i would like my ktis to be equal in power vs other ppl who worked as hard as i have for ascended.

also anet instear of making our kit scale with a dagger make it scale with the rifle so we get the max from it.

why should we be stuck with the power of a one handed weapon scale when we use a rifle ? if u make it scale to a rifle we can use out dual sets and then have more dmg output on kits. not that its bad at but it would be nice to have a power lvl = to a warrior using a greatsword.

anyway i dont care just make kits ascended quality for those who have ascended weapons equiped .

or atleats make the kits scale to the weapon we have e.g if using a rifle it scaled to the rifle or when using dual set it scaled to main hand,
you know like how every other class except eles scale (let eles scale in the same way).

all in all i want the effort i put into ascended to be shown and not just for the AR for fractals.

i play fullz erk grenades btw so mainly use grenades and dual pistols to compensate for the lack of stats we lose when swaping to a kit.

october 15h is not ascended it would of been clearly stated in the preview page it was comming.

bestbet is when new fractals are added the will come with AR slots and a AR scaleing change to allow us to get higher.

considering the whole point of ascended was to be used in fractals it makes sense.

to those who say otherwise when fractals was first launched it clearly stated the new gear was needed for agony resistance so yhe agony dmg in fractals didnt kill you.

how ever the casuals and WvW ppl apperntly didnt like it that a certain dungeon had gear with very small stat increase and differnt colour so they added it to laurals and gave some wvw infusions.

for some reason we cant have nice things to work for with out others demanding they have it for no effort either.

o well back on topic

used right it is high dmg output and is onpar with most other classes.

its just warriors who do stupidly high dmg and needs to be nerfed down to every 1 elses lvl. then u will see more class mix in dungeons.

every 1 compares dps to warriors sadly so when they say grenades is “low” end dmg they are just comparing it to warriors 40k + hundred baldes every 6 seconds in a full warrior party stacking in a corner.

in fractals how ever at 48+ where u cant just stack on a boss and nuke like crazy grenades come into their own and lets u nuke and move while avoiding attacks, alot of bosses in fractals such as

mossman, ascalon fractal, fire shaman, dredge, bloomhunger and others can make melee life hell if u stay there for more then a few seconds. so ranged has big advantages in fractals.

also in wvw u can spam grenades on walls. and u watch how fast u make ppl run away when there hp just drops.

once you get over the fact that warriors are only the highest dps for stand still and nuke faceroll content you will see how powerfull grenade engies are.

its just about build awareness for engies. once ppl learn how effective grenades are engies will be more widely accepted.

i still do get ppl ask me why im using zerk gear with grenades. once i explain how well they scale with power and crit dmg they are happy and no more fuss is made.

unless they are 13 year olds playing 4 warrior party who have no idea of what any other class is able to do and think there lvl "10"engie makes them understand the class better then you.

also if you form your own party chances are ppl who join knowing there is an engie wont cause u any problems for being an engie.

yes well the COMMUNITY in general is not aware that zerk engies are good. all they are used to are bad engies using pistol pistol as main dmg source and not using any kits mixed in.

we need to make the community more aware of zerk nade engies / bomb engies. and there are ppl who dont put 30 points in explosives with grenades and put them in fire arms or other tree so it dont come naturally with the vuln stacking etc.

more awareness of zerk grenade engies is needed big time

the power of the grenade kit is its all ground target. trust me once u learn how powerfull this is you dont want it to be auto attack.

step 1. use right mouse button to move and aim your grenades

step 2. if u want a certain distance + a certain camera angle, get the grenade ground target up set it a distance u want adjust your camera angle then use step 1

step 3. get an mmo mouse i use a razer naga, and bind your utility skills / F skills to it freeing up your keyboard for other skills.

step 4. learn to get used to spamming keys, i played WoW since 2005 so i can now spam grenades all day long and not get any cramp,
a trick here is after say 20 mins takes a 20 sec break and massage your fingers. do this for a month and you will be used to spamming keys.

grenades is not for every one. but if you get used to it they are very powerfull.

you dont see WoW players complain they have to spam there keyboard to cast there spells e.g mages and fire ball spam etc.

so just get used to using your chubby little fingers intime they will get good at spamming keys.

i play zerk grenade engie.

also some clever people did the math and zerk grenades pulls out around 8% better then other stat combos.

even in full zerk with a 30 /10 /0 /0 / 30 build your gonna see atleast 10 + bleed stacks just by using frag grenade every CD and minor trait bleed procs. ticking around 48 dmg so you get the bonus of high crit dmg + condis just by playing your rotation.

this is nice for pve as most groups wont say no to a zerk nade engie (they know its high dmg and high stacks of vuln).
the only problem u will get is a group of 3-4 warriors who have a lvl “30” engie and then know the class better then you (i have over 1k hours loged on my engie) and tell u they suck at zerk lol.

we just need to make the zerk community aware that zerk grenade engies are worth taking to dungeons and prove alot of debuffs / cc for the group naturally.

4-5 zerk DPS = profit

Fractals 48+:
1 tankish gaurd 4 zerk DPS = profit

SPVP / TPVP :
team builds make or break teams.

WvWvW :
every stat combo ingame has a use here and only roaming thiefs can get away full zerk in open wvw fights. zerk melee die extremely fast in zergs / sieges.

so as u see zerk is not the go to stat combo in the game it is just the best combo for dungeons.

why do we need healing when we can just dodge and nuke it down fast ?

having around 130% crit dmg with food + banner = 130% dmg increase on crits

vs

conditions that share a 25 bleed stack. if a person with highest condition dmg applies a burn any 1 with low condi that applies a burn only increase its duration and their burn does no dmg, same also applies to poison.

so its not the players fault berzerker is the “go to stat” its anets fault for makeing all other forms of dmg output / build combos just not worth the time or effort in dungeons,

why spend 40 mins in a dungeons when u can zerk it and do it under 15 (or even under 7 for certain paths).

do not punish players for going zerk. we choose to go zerk just like you choose to go

support healer gaurd ( LOL I KNOW)
condi necro in pve (why go wvw)
PVT warrior (yes i have seen these when they gear link)
ppl using Valk gear (i dont know either)

also if you ask for zerk to be nerfed what do u think will happen

LFM only want X stat players kicking anything else

they will just find another “most effective” combo and then the cycle will start anew.

so just buff the other stats and dont nerf zerk in anyway.
