It is not a bug so why should they fix it?

Indeed rangers are supposed to fight form a safe distance, this can however be accomplished without standing farther away than any other profession by using pets to “tank” the enemy.

Feel free to try for a refund, it is however very unlikely that you will get one just because you disagree with balancing of a certain profession.

So, basically exploit the game?

Guild Wars 2 takes everything you love about Guild Wars 1 and throw it out of the window.

My point is – theres absolutely nothing GW2 has common with GW1 except for lore.

I started playing GW1 just a few months after release of Prophecies, and still play it.

Similarities to GW1:
-Skill over gear
-No mandatory grind
-Lore
-Cooperation over Competition

Similarities to WoW:
-Higher levels

Funnily enough I find more similarities to GW1 than WoW.

Funnily enough there are some countries in the world that gives out Medals of Honor for sitting in a plane bombing children and stuff like that. So I don’t really see the issue here.

Of course. But that is because said organized group communicates. If they would not communicate (and said group had not ran the dungeon in question together several times before) they would not really faceroll content.
They are “working” for it by communicating and learning how to do stuff together.
The main issue at the moment is that most dungeons don’t require any communication at all.

Technically you can duel with the new custom PvP servers.

As for “one of those things you expect at launch” that is quite silly. Especially since there were nothing at all that pointed towards Dueling being in the game (quite the contrary to be honest).

I do not know why people feel it that way. I just dont want to see furute where people leaving game becouse they feel its too unfriendly for them if they want to play mots with randoms. And too unfriendly it is actualy becouse they wanted it…

Who said anything about EVERYTHING will require it?

I am talking about the DUNGEONS requiring communication. And the dungeons is a VERY small part of the game.

If people leave because they can’t do everything without thinking good riddance I say.
Why should people that actually want to have some kind of challenge be left out?

And yet the dungeons were supposed to be there for organized groups.
95% of the game is completely possible to do for even “bad” players without every talking to anyone at all, and yet people gets crazy when the little things that is supposed to require some communications starts to actually require communication.

Why do people feel the need that they should be able to do every single thing in the game without thinking or working for it?

And yet it hurt said dungeon BECAUSE it is only one dungeon.

If ALL dungeons required coordination and such it would not hurt them, since there wouldn’t be the “easy way out” dungeons that people would rather run.

Most likely because it requires quite some bit of balancing and they most likely want to get a somewhat good balance on the existing weapons before adding new ones.

I would say the main issue with those two are that they aren’t actual items, but rather unlocks.

CoF 1 is super easy.
AC is not that hard if you do it with guild mates. Even the new AR that is praised for its diffculty can be done quickly with guild mates and TS and it is fun.
But it is undoable with PUGs in most of time. And there is really lot of pugs in game. They are important part of player base becouse game need as most players as it can have. Not everyone is active guild member and play only with his friends. And i fear if they will change all dungeons like they changed AC most of those ,,PUGs" will leave game and start play some more ,,Pug friendly" games. I think Anet know this and that is why they never changed any other dungeon like they changed AC. They had lot of time to do it already.

They are most likely working on fixing it, but they need it to be a good balance, and they need it to make sense.

It is fully possible to do the new AC with PUGs. I have done so myself, just a few hours after the patch went live.
People simply need to listen and reflect about what is happening. And most people actually don’t have an issue with that.

So, I reiterate- it will only be a problem for me if the items are only available via raiding. As long as they are available anywhere else as well, I can’t see there being any issue.

So what about the dungeon specific stuff that is currently in the game?

It will most likely be active again when they fix the other dungeons.
The main issue at the moment is that CoF P1 is so kitten easy that most people don’t bother doing anything else.
When they change that and makes people think (like the new AC bosses) people will “abandon” that one as well. And when all dungeons have had that chance people will simply go and do dungeons because they want to do them, not because they are easy to do without thinking.

The only reason this news would upset me is if Anet decides to give non-raiders the middle finger and add items that are only attainable via raids. That would change the dynamic of this game too far into a direction that I simply want nothing to do with anymore (I used to be a hardcore raider, years ago…).

That would only really be an issue if those items would be better/stronger than the others.
If they were only cosmetic that wouldn’t really be an issue.

I am quite sure there are quite a few games with rather big italian guilds/kins/whatever without the game being available in their language. LotRO is a great example

Ncsoft doesn’t design the game. Anet in the US does. This has nothing to do with politics.

Anet staff being American, have created an event that spans through their independence day. But have purposely not scheduled any in game fireworks during the holiday. This is because Anet/Ncsoft is hoping Americans will buy gem store fireworks to use on the 4th.

NCSoft makes the rules though. ArenaNet does the coding and the content, NCSoft decides which content and coding should be done. Simple as that.

Not all ArenaNet staff is american either for that matter, there are several people working there from both Europe and other parts of the world.
And why do you think they didn’t have the fireworks on the 4th in the first place?
Could it possibly be because they didn’t want to tie it into the “independence day” of a single nation that have nothing at all to do with Tyria?
If they start making specific things on US-holidays why shouldn’t they make special things on German, Russian, Swedish, Australian and Brazilian holidays as well?

There is not specific back items for melee or range. Simply craft those with the stats that you feel would benefit your play-style the most.

People seems to not understand the fact that these temporary dungeons might very well be testing grounds for stuff they want to add/change in the existing dungeons.

With each new release they test and learn new stuff, and see how people react to it. It is a great way to find out how to change old things in a way that people will like.

Might I also suggest NOT spamming them with support requests since that simply pushes you down the line and will end up taking longer.

And yes, delete a few mails in your inbox and they should appear.

Actually that is exactly what the post I quoted was saying.
They wanted people to earn less point when the other side was less active, therefore people playing on “off-times” would be less useful since they would generate less points.
