…per character when logging out to the character screen and even exiting the game until it expires.
Hmmmm,
I know what you mean and why. Though I dont want to make changing back from guesting to difficult either. So my suggestion would be:
1: Starting of guesting like normal
2: when you go back to the character selection screen for any reason (DC/crash/character change/wanting to stop guesting) you select your character to login.
3: At that moment you get a pop-up with the following text: ‘Your currently guesting on -server name-. Do you wish to continue guesting or return to your homeworld?’ You have two options.
a:‘Continue guesting on -server name-’
b: ‘Return to my home world (-server name-)’
Arise, opressed of Tyria!
Why not try to organise it then??
Tequatl, Balthasar, Karka queen are examples off bosses that needs organisation.
something thats working pretty well on my server.
Some people have been guesting to a server where organised runs are being held to see how it is done. After that they started making a guild. Only requirements:
1: represent during tequatl fights
2: join atleast once every few attempts
They do several things for their members and others showing up.
a: they have ranks in the guild based on the roles people play during the fight. This way you have people on the turrets and in the turret defense team that know what they are doing.
b: they have commandors in the two dps zergs who are helping people in the zerg in explaining what to do, how to stack up etc.
c: They provide spoken instructions in mapchat and on a public TS-server
d: They advertise professional attempts in mapchat and in lions arch
And they are doing it and doing it succesfully.

Flesh Golem,
This is by far one of the bests elites in the game. The no water abillity is there to make it not too OP.
Inanimate objects: Again this has to do with balance. I do change to Scepter/warhorn during those kind of fights (I know warhorn isnt super for fighting but I like the locust swarm a lot between fights and you can only have two weaponsets equiped). I do believe the staff is powerfull enough for all other purpose and there is no need to change the staff for this. More in general I do believe the dagger and eaxe MH should be made better. This would also solve your problem cause it is more interesting to swap for these kind of fights.

Hi and thanks for your good ideas.
I’m afraid currently some other fractals are being develloped allready. I do hope that after that the rest off the game gets some love as well (specially continuation of the elder dragon main story).
The fractals being develloped (all three confirmed).
Explosion of the Thaumanova Reactor.
A rework of the molten alliance dungeon into a fractal.
A rework of the (first) aetherblade dungeon into a fractal.
As for your suggestions. Some are great, some I would oppose a bit. So the fact that I’m not calling them out means I’m actually for that one:
3: I think that divinity’s reach shouldn’t be changed. They did that with Rata Sum, but I didn’t really liked it, cause it is a different city cause there are jumping elements. If they do something like that, it has to be the same as the real divinity’s reach, but that means making it harder to jump.
5: Great tree: I think this is bout the lore off the ‘other’ pale tree. I think that that is a story that should be told in the main personal story and not in a fractal. If you mean another corupted tree, then I still think that it is too simular to that (possible/likely) future main storyline.
9: Utopia: Nothing against the concept, but in my opinion Utopia doesnt exist. The problem with Utopia is that it was in devellopement when it was canceled. Many (good) elements have been adapted for use in GW-EotN and even more for use in GW2. so all that remains of Utopia are cuttings on the floor, leftovers, etc. Thats why in my opinion it is better to see Utopia as non-existing.
Last off all an adition of my own:
(Bonus fractal): Doric’s Plea
In this fractal the players have alternate skillsets that are much more powerfull then usual, but the foes are significant stronger too. The goal is to escort King Doric to the gods through pre-cataclysm Arah. so he can make his plea to remove/reduce magic.

+1
As and additional argument. Loading times in LA is terrible. This has to do with an overpopularity off the town. It is the town you get ported to from WvW-exit, Labyrinth-exit and PvP-exit as well as the most important meeting town and trading town.
Having a button in the interface to go home, this means that traffic from all around the world to LA will be diverted to the other towns.
Arise, opressed of Tyria!
I like the thoughts, but I disagree that this would be a good optional thing to add.
Damage builds are allready too popular and would become even more popular.
The only way I could see this work is if the main stats would be taken off weapons. All weapons come with a celestial skillset and you can modify some stats up but that would mean others go down.
This system would mean a lot of people paying for example a beserker weapon would be irritated cause they paid all that money for expensive stats and thats gone. So good idea, if it was implemented from the start.
Arise, opressed of Tyria!
Hi Twister,
You can get both skins. and you can get them as a reward.
At 12k AP’s you can get the other gloves
At 15k AP’s the shoulders
At 18k AP’s the helmet
So in time you get them all. changing that now is unfair to those who got both skins the hard way.
Arise, opressed of Tyria!
1: No for race change
2: No for order change
Very simple reason is that it doesnt make any sense at all. It ruins lore, story and the entire game. As well as people misusing racial mechanics. For order there is the way of transmuatation stones. For all else, just re-roll. The game is very much fun so re-rolling shouldnt be an issue.
Als Djemo, Don’t bump. That is very rude and unrespectfull for all the other suggestions. You might find his important. I don’t. So dont try to artificial force your opinion down my throat by bumping.

I think your better off asking this in the technical support section off the forum.
Arise, opressed of Tyria!
The support site is up and running, though the system has changed. You now need to go through the faq’s before reaching the ‘submit a request’ option (or atleast it seems).
As for speculating what the reasons are, that is off little use. Anet can give you more details bout the suspension. Keep in mind they wont give you any direct proof.
Good Luck and hope everything turns out allright.
Arise, opressed of Tyria!
Are you in the EU or in NA?
Keep in mind you can always guest to try a world out before paying money for transfer.
Also keep in mind that for dungeons you can use the LFG-tool (Y) to find pug’s cross worlds (so not limited to yours).
Personally I’m on the EU world Gandara and it is pretty active in most maps.
Arise, opressed of Tyria!
Diminishing returns: If you do things too repetitive your rewards will drop a lot. This also means karma. You can avoid DR by not being repetitive. If you notice you are caught by DR you best can go to as different map and do events there for atleast 60-90 minutes.
The exact mechanism is unknown, this cause it is an anti botter mechanism and Anet doesnt want the botters to find a way around.
Arise, opressed of Tyria!
1: level requirements are elitist crap. While I understand your concerns bout not wanting low level’s I do think ti should never ever be promoted by a tool saying that such behaviour is ok. So I udnerstand you, and in some dungeons I feel the same, but no. I rather see that Anet fixes the level requirement for dungeons. Make them all level 80, with upscaling like WvW should be a good start.
2: I think it is perfectly ok to find a group for storymode. Just keep in midn that your advert should be spot on and that there is less interest in storymode. Such an advert only takes more time to get people. But that is cause storymode is less popular.
3: You dont need storymode to be able to do explorable mode. Only one person i nthe party (the instance starter) needs to have story. The rest can join in regardless.
For me the LFG works good and as it should. It could be less laggy, but thats all. Don’t change a good working system.

Suggestion:
Sent box for mail. Pretty self explanatory.
Just a tab on the left with who your mail was sent to and the contents.
I’m very sorry, but I dont find this self explanatory. What box? what contents? what should this box do?why mail a box?? what is the purpose??
I seriously don’t have any clue what you want or suggest here. So can you please clarify??
Arise, opressed of Tyria!
I think the announced new weapons should hit first. Not only gives that room for new skills and more fitting weapons lorewise (an engineer with an hammer is like an elementalist with a longbow), but also will add more weapons to the pool making the prices of all weapons go down instead of up.
Some suggestions:
javeling (like a spear, but then on land) (guardian, ranger, elementalist)
Halberd (close range) (warrior, elementalist)
Something like the Denn’Bok in Babylon 5 (close range, Engineer, mesmer, thief)
Lemme explain the last one. This youtube video shows a person playing with it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TbQ-y589mx8
It is basicly a small cilinder that extract to a long stick. Fighting is done like a B?, but the extractable possibility’s also make it very good at push back/daze (think bout distracting it to someones forehead and imagine what would happen). OIff course it needs to have a name thats more fitting for gw2 lore.
Arise, opressed of Tyria!
Mystic, after mightier then the sword you get a request to meet Zojja in Lions arch for the meeting with DE and your introduction in the order. that is alsosent by mail but is NOT the dungeon invite.
Arise, opressed of Tyria!
Personally only a fraction of the people dislike Scarlet. but those are, as always the people who speak out on the forums. I absolutly love the character and think she is truly a job well done.
So definitely not signed.
Arise, opressed of Tyria!
You should have green stars at the portal leaving your map, indicating where to go as welll as a green star at your end destination on the map.
In this case I would check out lions arch, follow the green arrows there
Arise, opressed of Tyria!
short answer: Don’t be a beserker nub.
Long answer. For some professions beserker is very viable to do and use. for others a lot less. Beserker gear is powerfull in dungeons and when doing large scale events. For many other content it just get you killed too soon. I see some people thinking that zerker is the whole game, but thats manly is that they only do zergs or dungeons.
It is incredible to see how many warriors are being one hitted to down during a Tequatl fight, not only wasting their own amount of DPS, but also that of those rezzing you, making the actual so called advantage a disadvantage for the run.
That is also the way to counter zerker gear (and something that we are allready seeing). Make enemy’s more lethal.
Stats and choosing stats is so designed that you have to choose between having lot of dps or having lot of survivabillity. However, DPS is a number that can increase, and survivabillity is a treshhold, you either survive or you don’t. There is no real increase in survivabillity. The solution should be to have stronger foes with more heavy AoE-DPS spikes.
Being able to put more points in Critical damage should be rewarding, but only investing in zerger stats should be lethal. Off course a bit is totally ok
As for atributepoints. There is nothing wrong with the current system, just if they rebalance the foes in starter area’s it should be available sooner so the weak at start classes don’t have too much dissadvantage.
GW1 didn’t let you change attribute points out of combat, you needed to leave the instance you where fighting in and go to a town or outpost.

What the GM means is that if you had e.g. the exotic hammer ‘genesis’ on sale on the tradepost at the time the snapshot was made and sold or taken off the TP afterwards, both the hammer and/or the profits will be gone (if it is overseen by the hacker and still for sale on the TP, you can still sell it or get it off the TP).

This thread is saying that macro’s are allowed as long as it is one action for one keystroke.
So for example, a macro that automatically equips a riffle on an engineer instead off dual pistols is perfectly allowed if it is out of combat. Cause it is one key for one keystroke.
However in case off chat you can ask yourself what the action is. Is the action typing each letter? or is the action to say a line in chat? I would use the following reasoning. if the chat (the thing you type) would be /dance. the actual action would be that your character starts dancing. So assuming that an emote is equal to a line off text, it would be considered one action, and so a macro is ok to use. Specially cause its not giving any unfair advantage
I’d disagree with that last statement. It depends on the situation. If its some kind of command in pvp/wvw it is giving an unfair advantage, since they don’t have to type the whole thing out, which gives them time to do other stuff/attack.
Advantage: yes
Unfair advantage: No
The person is using a macro to single for help. Being good in communications with your team and getting communications through quick is an advantage, but definitely not unfair.
Arise, opressed of Tyria!
It’s not going to work.
Anet allows the use of guild emblems on armor, backpacks and guildbanners on the back.
However only if the person using it buys the skin ingame with gold.
So basicly Anet wants to have the use off guildemblems as a moneysink. Yes they might add the GW1 type off capem but it would cost gold or guildrecommendations or both. So the system of free capes like in gw1 will likely not happen resulting in that only a few people will buy the capes.

Ranger is the class some narrowminded elitist wannabe’s avoid. The people who do that are very bad players themself who have little to no understanding bout the game. The issue with the ranger class is not the class but some people who play it. This has to do with the the cuteness off having a pet around and with the strenght off the class wich makes it easier to play early on and so you don’t fall down and don’t learn.
Having said that, the ranger can be a very powerfull class, specially if your prepared to leave your bow and come close face to face to your enemy.
Necromancer is an excellent cast class. Though somewhat limited in dungeons. The reason is that the use of minion isn’t viable in dungeons so your left with a strong and powerfull conditionmancer. If you like that style nothing wrong with it, but it is somewhat limited. Also cause the limitation of conditions is that a foe can only have an x amount off each. Soo one or two conditionmangers is ok, but more is only keeping the damage down.
Last the elementalist. This is off the three the hardest to power. It is a raw nuker to a healer class (as far as GW2 has healers), but is, specially at low levels when you dont have access to traits, very squishy. However, if mastered it has little limitations and can do good in e.g. dungeons.

To get to 450 weaponsmith without paying too much money
1: Gather all orichalcum and ancient wood with altelastone character. and gather ecto’s (e.g. do world events with a level 80)
2: Buy recipes (for karma) for exotic quality weapons
3: Discover exotic weapons. The ore and wood should be enough to discover one per day. leaving you only to buy the t6 mats.
Takes bout 2 weeks to level crafting to 450.
Arise, opressed of Tyria!
Nope, boon duration on a ranger doesnt effect pet skills.

The Elder dragon story line seems to be tied to the continuation of the main story. The living story is based on a totally alternate path. The reason for that is that it has to make sense.
The living story can be played on any level, and you didn’t need to have played the main storyline. That is the reason that the two have no ties together.
Also there are actually a lot of dragons over Orr. In Arah storymode you fight 4 more dragons including an elder dragon, making the total of killable dragons 7 and not 3.
Arise, opressed of Tyria!
Again this is not a bug and not unintended behaviour.
You where asked if you wanted to continue to your friends storypath and you said yes.
The merchants indeed will keep treating you as an Vigil, cause you choose that path. But you changed it halfway when you where offered the option. It’s a free world, but I do think support has better things to do then to tell you that this is not a bug, and that you said yes yourself to this.
Sorry to make it sound harsh, but it is as it is.

The wizards tower is actually part of the first quest ever made for GW1. so it is likely a lot older then 7 years.
The tower is and has always been a complete mystery. Personally I do hope that this mystery stays a mystery forever. Now it is exiting. using it for a dungeon/fractal/personal story/jumping puzzle/wold boss content whatever would be fun…….for 1 month…then the mystery is gone
Keep the wizards tower a mystery forever!!
Arise, opressed of Tyria!
It depends a bit on the puzzle in question. Last years clocktower was a pain for small classes, and the same goes for guildpuzzles. The reason is that it full off those clumsy big bookah’s. Other jumping puzzles have issues with the zoom function where you block your view on bigger classes.
Overall I would say that jumping is a lot easier on asura’s.
Arise, opressed of Tyria!
Sweet cream is spot on. There is also a portal in the south of blazeridge steps (north of fields of Ruin), but that is a higher level map.
Arise, opressed of Tyria!
rampage as one should combine your pet with you and you will fusion-ha into omegurugamemnon-mon based on the pet. still in que for OP huntards. I agree gathering pets is not memorable at all but the class itself isn’t particularly memorable either.
on topic though what would digivolving do for our pets? put rockets on their shoulders? huntard pets are too powerful already, nerf bat plox
The way pet evolution worked in GW1 was that the pet specializes. Given it didn’t work very well there but within the GW2 system it can work.
I would imagine it like this:
For example. When you charm a red moa. It has two skills unlocked:
Peck and Harmonic cry.
The other two slots needs to be unlocked through using the pet. After unlocking it you still need petexperience points on your pet. They get that through killing foes (so just as you gain experience). Every x-y amount of experience you get an petskillpoint. Some petskillpoints cost little, but the really good ones cost a lot of time using the actual pet. Also. For each level you can only choose between two skills. choosing one will lock the other for good and you can not unlock it (unless you talk to the ranger trainer who can unlock it for a small fee.
This way you can personalize the pets abillity’s and make your pet really your instrument.
Arise, opressed of Tyria!
if the mesmer using the signet has enhanced boon duration then yes
Arise, opressed of Tyria!
Gandarra is a great server. Most off the people are English speaking and it is a really active server. There are some guilds for foreigners, but you hardly see foreign language in mapchat except recruitments for those guilds.
Arise, opressed of Tyria!
Maybe an easier solution. Do the same as in Loreclaw expanse. Make the chest room collapse on top off you (killing you if you are there while inactive)
Arise, opressed of Tyria!
Thats where you are wrong. First off all, the question is if Anet is keeping track off it. If they do so it is likely in the current general database, so you need to program a query.
Then the window designer has to put the info in the achievement panel.
Then QA needs to start testing this. I’m not saying its a lot off work, but far more then 10 minutes.
Arise, opressed of Tyria!
afaik, only a few jumping puzzles require waypointing to get out
Arise, opressed of Tyria!
Mercury, aren’t you confusing things?
Rabid weapons gives exactly : “Condition Damage” as major, “Precision” and “Toughness” as minor stats.
Rabid weapons can be obtainable trough several dungeons (TA for example).
/cheers
It’s a typo indeed. I was meaning to say that the order off the OP’s stats doesn’t exist (and the order is important for the amount of points you get in them). Thanks for pointing that out.
Sweetcream, The OP is asking for weapons, not armor.
Arise, opressed of Tyria!
I don’t have anything against the name of the class or any potential class, I have something against adding more classes to the game. I don’t care if it is a dervish, paragon, paladin, shadow knight, minstrell or birdwhisperer.
The game is balanced in classes and there is no need to add more classes to the game. Specially when there is still a lot of balancing to do within the current classes and we can use some new weapontypes.
Arise, opressed of Tyria!
Arenanets statement is that they do not involve themselfes in inside guildpolicy’s and let guilds govern themselfes.
There are 2 important reasons for it
1: Guilds have their own rules/culture/background. anet isn’t aware of that nor can they.
2: (many) guilds know a good amount of drama.
I’m afraid there is little that Anet can do. What for your guild might be logical, might not be for another guild. Besides that, Anet doesnt know how the relations are in a guild.
A good guild limits access to the guildbank or atleast the good stuff in the guildbank. For example in my guild off 500 people only 4 people have access to the full bank. I’m an officer, and if I need something for organising an activity I have to ask them to get the resources out. The 4 people have been asked to make sure their security is as tight as possible.
Arise, opressed of Tyria!
Uuhhhhmmm… Any reason??
Developing something like that cost money. So what purpose would be served?? I can’t see any purpose, so unless you have a convincing one I have to say no
