As for adept minors, I think I have no issue with Water and Earth. Now, Fire and Air are quite different stories.

Flame barrier: currently burns enemy one sec if the Ele is hit in melee (chance 20%).

I would propose the chance to go for 50-60% chance. Eles are not font of getting hit. Our playstyle is to consciously avoid getting hit. So we already actively limit the power of the trait just by playing. What more, we don’t stay in fire forever. For the sake of argument, assume it 25% of the time in combat. You can imagine how many time an enemy will be burned by this trait during an element switching cycle (somewhere between zero and 1) Not to mention that 1 second of burning is meager in itself for a punishment for hitting us. What’s with the 20% chance, on top of the limitations discussed above? Am I supposed to patiently continue getting hit till it procs before I can happy switch to another element? 75%-100% is understandably too much. i think around 50% is a good compromise.

Air adept minor: Move faster while attuned to air (10%).
Please make it 25%, unless you redesign it to something else. Given the access of swiftness and speed boost an elem can tap into, this trait is not just redundant but also pathetically weak.

I think way too many people think that just because they don’t like something, no one else should be able to do it.

Totally agreed. Farming has been treated as a some sort of taboo in the gaming world. People argues farming folks don’t deserve the reward from killing champs by spamming 1’s. That’s a personal take, and should not be used to regulate the game. These people actually spent their time for it. They don’t just leave the game open and money started pouring in. If you personally don’t approve of such method, you could go ahead and do otherwise. Their goal is to make money to pursue their respective goals (armor, legendaries etc..), if your goal is to play the game for the experience, then there’s dungeons parties, WvW and such. Naturally, the level of rewards will be different. I don’t see the merits in blasting people who play their game in a different and legit way, whether you PERSONALLY approve it or not, just to drag everyone’s rewards to the same level as yours. I don’t farm alot, rather mixed in all content types., but I don’t see the urge to concern about how other play the game. What do you have to gain doing that?

So what type of armor do you suggest? I would love to see your design ideas. I mean if your hate what we do have and feel the need to complain about it, the least you could do is tell Anet what you do want.

Quite a question. How about anything that is not trench coat. I don’t even mind if the new armors show skins like some of those for male warriors. That’s actually even better. I don’t need to give them a SPECIFIC design. Your question is only valid if I denounce most of fashion styles there are.

As it should. People feels they are discriminated for their level without realizing they are trying to play the content sections that are not meant for their level. Dungeons for examples. True that dungeons’ text said suggested level being X and Y, but in reality, a geared lvl 80 can get downed by one of those Gravel rather easy. Not that the 80s are weak, it’s because these guys hit HARD.

This is not to say trench coats are horrible fashion taste. Some looks nice, especially with the mid west accent to it. From GW1-GW2, except for a few rare instants, most ranger armors are trench coats. Whenever i see a pack of rangers in WvW, i thought they just finished Christmas shopping from Macys.

Abuse or lack of creativity is probably too strong of a way to say it, but I can’t help but feel the fashion designer(s) for Anet overuse this fashion line quite lot for the rangers. I hope there will more of none-trenchcoat armors for the class .
Abit off topic, same goes for male elementalist (what’s with all the dresses?).

Only hardcore players who devotes most of their time made that kind of money. You can make w/e judgement of the way they spent their time for gaming, but since they do, it’s only natural that they get the reward for the effort. If you are not willing to do the same, you can’t call for nerf to drag everyone else down your even ground. I don’t spend that much time joining those train, but I never whine for making less money, naturally because I understand I don’t have as much time. I can’t sympathize with OP. Things are fine the way it is.

What a suggestion. How about removing all conditions all together while we are it because it encourages regen builts? or also removing DPS because, yes, you guessed it, it encourges bunker builds. How about removing stealth because I counldn’t remember the last time I caught a thief in 1vs1. I fought guardians with those kinda of build before. Sure it does take more time since the guy space out his heals and block pretty nicely, but the regen is the least of the problem. Not every build is cut to be the all-owning. Once in a while you run into someone that your current build doesnt do the job and that’s normal, so suck with it.

If anyone is “pretty mobile”, it’s not the guardian. It’s hard to chase a warrior, thief or elem these days, certain not guardian. vice versa, as a guardian, I can’t remember the last time I successfully pursue a running War or thief or elem.

Everyone agrees signets are underwhelming, as do I. However, I do think signet of Judgement is fine as it is.

As for spirit weapons, compared to the pre-release hype, these turned out to be a big let-down, even more so with subsequent updates that made them mortal. Animation – if you notice the way they move ackwardly (i.e. bumpy on terrain), they are actually hold by an invisible toon minion that is made invisible. They are not actually floating like you think. Looks like a shortcut for the sake of getting the work done. That kinda reduce the coolness meter by half. Activation is awkward too, as in why they have to activate where they are at, instead of where we want the activation is. Spirits weapons seriously need some serious rework.

Bunch of whiners, you lot. I love the changes. Mace/Focus Scepter/Shield full meditation healing build. I have about 28% crit chance normally, so the on demand fury gives me lots of crits. I can support incredibly well, keep myself alive, and give occasional bursts of heavy damage if I time the fury right. The only thing I’m lacking is condition removal, but if I had that then I would be OP.

Guardian role vs. a new and improved War

I’m sure you have there’s been quite some talks with new developments towards both Warrior class and Guardian. I played a Guardian since day 1. Our (guardians) game mechanics have been providing group’s support when they are in a pinch via activating virtues, and/or shouts and/or reflection – all of which are decent enough for short term support since our group heals/block (not counting staff) have quite a long recharge (60+).

Warrior with at least their new and improved shouts boost( aside the fact that most of which have short CD in 20’s and 30’s), if traited and optionally runed, can do group-condition removal and heals (about 3.5k per shout if goes full cleric) with such a short cool down and can do all that in successive manner (i.e. popping 3 shouts for up to 10k group heal).

I have no spite against Warriors, pretty happy for their boost, but at the same time, I now wonder why a Guard at all, what else do we mean when a warrior can do almost the same job: group heal, condition removal while still being decent at DPS (i.e. at least 40 trait point left to invest elsewhere, like in offensive lines).

You could say Warriors are the swords, and Guardians are the shield. Now that the War reached over to our domain of specialty. That is not to say guardian are rendered completely outmatched, as we got one remaining useful thing which is the group stability. Still, the way i see it, the reason to play a Guardian has been narrowed down quite much. So since swords suddenly can become group support, maybe us Guardians can get some equivalent upgrade… like the Zeal line for example?

Sometimes I like switch to a different toon for a different style of play in WvW. Guess what, my effort achievement got split in at least 2 characters and the skills are at no where for both of them. I think this should be accountwide so that I can enjoy the achievement benefit regardless of which toon is logged in.

IMHO, i mean, the Team don’t have to be there in an ACTIVE role in that thread. People are still talking. Well, people who are farming for tokens and/or gold rewards look for one thing: efficiency. Having a low level surely will slow things down: either they messed up a procedure, getting down constantly, or the dps just don’t add up etc… I have my share of experience of both sides: embarrassingly slowing my group down in my low lvl days and having newbies in my group that added another 10-15 mins to the trip. And no, I don’t feel any sympathy to OP.
It is their group, they are entitled to all rights there is to dictate member requirements to achieve the expected efficiency. You can make your own group, or search for group that are more accepting. No hard feeling getting kicked here. Clearly, you are trying to get a quick level at the expense of the entire group (i.e. other 80s gotta back you up or take more responsibility than they normally wouldn’t have). I got kicked in my noob days, but no hard feeling. I just either made my own group or lfg and indicated my lvl. Each dungeons, either the AC, are scaled in a way that even a fully equipped lvl 80 can be downed against certain trash mobs. What made you think a lvl 35 will sustain. Just lvl to 80 and start doing dungeon. Shortcuts are bounded to have certain hardships. You gotta pay attention to how you would affect other people too, not just how they victimized you. They might kick or accept low level, their group, their right, but it not in your position to complain.

I’m sure people are aware that some time at the end of this year there will be new legendaries being added. There’s a couple questions if any devs can kindly confirm.

Will the new legendaries just be trinkets/accessories or is it that each type of weapons will have their respective second generations of legendaries?

For folks who exhausted their gifts of exploration on the first generation of weapons will still be able to obtain the second generation of legendaries without having to create a new character just to get the gift of exploration? I assume the formula for creating the new legendary remain substantially the same (in format)

The facts that not everyone are guardians render this question moot. Different people are attracted to different class. We don’t play because we look for a smooth experience. My main is a guardian, since the game started, and before I chose him, I had no idea he would be “the most balanced” class.

I understand what you are saying. The LFG thing is not a novel feature. I’d agree fully with you if the feature come out at the same time with the game. I’m trying to stress the point that after more than one year (why now?), at least it’s something more complete. Looks like they are more focused on those monthly dynamic events thing and delay all the well-known shortcomings that players been calling them out for.

So after one year, Anet has come to a revelation that a LFG feature need to be implemented instead of having a magnifier icon on your name tag. When it comes out, it is a …. BETA. I do like that it let you instantly join a party with vacant spot, it’s quite an improvement. Aside from that, it does nothing else but only let you put description of your party, no level requirement ( having to constantly kicking the low lvl seeking easy lvl-up at the expense of others) , no separation of exp/story etc… I mean, honestly, the feature itself is not a separate game. It’s not that hard to think of a complete version, or at least a better one, and if you are desperate for ideas, just copy off from the 3rd party website gwlfg. And speaking of gwlfg website, the fact that someone else has to go out of their way to create a website for players to play your game because you are too lazy, don’t you feel embarrassed, Anet? That’s something to reflect about. Stop spending time fixing “bugs” and “crash issues” that none of us never experienced or heard of and do something major for a change..

Given how things go across server, the time should be at least doubled and the WP should be uncontested so newbie folks who rushed to their death can get back on their feet quickly. And back to the topic, rewards, given how sour things are, should be a guaranteed ascended weapon and the rate of droping precursor to be X 100000 to a better rate of 0.000001% chance.
