Shield 4 should at least also give aegis. Shield 5 should have CD reduced… and maybe a blast finisher.
This is a recurring topic that has been floating around for ages, not that I disagree but I seriously doubt your post will make any difference.
All things, good and bad, being said about Anet in this forum, wouldn’t it more interesting to hear it directly from their own (former?) employees? (read all of it!)

I don’t think so. Doing so would be an official act of admitting their screwup, which so far they have only blamed on ‘bugs" and "evil players who spread false information’. I doubt they will do anything that hurts their ego. I think they will just drag it out till everyone either tired of complaining or forget about it, using the ultimate dodge card " We’re aware of the issue and currently working on it"
Reported a bug with the hope that they will fix it.
why bother ‘transfer’ , it should be shared between all characters. Changing toon just to craft is a chore.
“Keep them playing by keeping them waiting” seems like the norms now. I truely don’t get the slowness . We are not even asking for anything new, just merely fixing existing bugs or issues been brought up since the launch. Assuming we do get an update, (most likely: "we are aware of the issue and currently working for it, please keep buying… i mean playing ") then the question becomes “when”, which equate 2 or 3 more quarter worth of wait.

@OP, you shouldn’t be frustrated by posting a bunch of threads. Try my classic work-around : auto kick rangers and/or LFG say: no ranger. Works like a charm.
Right now primary stats (such as power, vita, defense…) and secondary stats (condition damage and healing power) are scaled the same in weapon/armor stat combo. For example, a stat combo with healing power as major (cleric, maji) have the same stat value as power as a major stat in berzerker. I don’t think that’s reasonable, seeing secondary stats don’t affect the character as powerfully as any of the primary stats. Same goes for major condition stat damage vs. major power stat. I’d say any secondary stats in any set of armor should be scaled more, like 20% or so.

They been ignoring criticism left and right, positive or negative. Much of what you said , i don’t argue, except for the “keep up the good work” part.
It’s almost 3 months, that’s a quarter of a year. So where is this change to NPE you have spoken of? or at least any word of it? no?
New weapons type for professions or new legendaries … those are empty promises being floating around since first year. Those are one of the things they dangle in front of our nose to keep us playing in hope that it will some day be realized.
The Moot is the worst, too cartoonish and makes the character look undignified with those silly effects. I always wanted to meet the person that designed the Moot. Though not in the list, the Flameseeker is the best looking one, though abit of lacking utility.

and you do? whether or not knowing ‘how a big company works’ won’t change the facts that there are issues and that those issues are left unfixed over the year and ‘they work in mysterious way’ is not a good rationale. And ‘how a big company work’ ? what does it possibly mean? are you admitting that they operate for their ownself interest ? as a player, if you admit that much, shouldn’t the logical response be " ah …man! " rather than “woaaa, they worry about themselves above us and that is soooo cool, and how dare you guys complain !”

I could understand they don’t respond to threads that are laced with explicit or emotion outbursts. However, there are threads out there that bring up and discusses issue in civil manners, but largely went unattended while the ‘safe’ happy-go-lucky threats get all the attentions, and certain that speaks well of priority. If every players are like the kind of people like the OP , the game will never get fixed because people like those lack the desire for quality improvement and contented with w/e thrown on the ground. While it’s good to keep a positive outlook, I would love it very much if issues will somehow magically go away just by going happy-go-lucky and praising Anets everydays.

As you all know, the player base have taken their time to pour in suggestions over the past two years, pretty good suggestions for the most part. And over the years, the ‘fixes’ and ‘balancing" have been only trickling. The respones from Anet’s public relations personals have always been “Good ideas, thanks! it’s something we’ll take into our meeting discussions”. And months later, either nothing come out of it or it’s some fixes of things we never had problem with or even heard of.
…..and that lead me to this conclusion: In Anet’s philosophy, the so-called fixes and profession balancing is no longer only for the good of the players community and to perfect the games. It is being turned into something more of less of a treat dangled in front of our noses to keep us playing in a wishful hope that ’just maybe they will fix it the patch coming out next two months. You know it’s true and Anet knows it too. Yes, the key ideas is " to keep them playing". One example being the promise of new legendaries back in 2012/2013 ish or the scaventure hunts….. and just how we laugh. Not a word , and the reminder posts are interestingly unanswered. Not supprisingly, the original base players droped over the years and they resorts to the NPE to get new players and make things harder for the vets to reroll. I do believe it is time Anet to change direction and respect the player base’s intelligence more.
boons and fields have small range , if we don’t stack , I suppose we have to somehow stay in range of each others’ boon because some people out there don’t like stacking.
I got several “oh wow moments”: When the game first started, my guardian sword auto attack #3 missed the elephant of a target right in front of him 3 times in a row , i was like ‘oh wow". Two years later, it still happen, so i was like ’OH WOW’.
Superior Sigil of Real Rangers:
Active pets suffer an heart attack and die tragically and permanently. The Ranger has +15% attack speed, range and damage.

(1): + 100 to Precision/Power/Ferocity when wearing full Berzerker/Celestial gear.
(2): Diminishing Return effect is reversed to the opposite.
(3): + 200% MF when a farm nerf is implemented. MF works on chests.
(4): -99% chance to be infracted when criticizing Anet.
(5): All trait/skill bugs of your class, when proc-ed, caused Anet programmers and executives to hiccup.
(6): You are immune to any class nerf. Any legendary you are equipped will look just like what you always wanted.

Let my reply be the final non-OP post. Obviously, OP doesn’t listen to logics. He always find a tiny little hole to validate his point of view when the rest of the facts are against him. He’s relying on real world logics to back up a game feature. What next? is he gona ask that stealth shouldn’t have a duration since , yes, in real world stealth is permanent until found. Folks, no need to waste breath for this. This is a sin who is bestowed with perma stealth ability, but still managed to get owned at least by ranger, and now he is expecting Stealth to further give him the luxury of not using dodge rolls. When is the last time anyone of you catch a running thief without him being a bad thief or need half a zerk to kill the b#$#$? and this guy is still expecting more. Case closed and move on now.

It’s been TWO years. It is no secret that auto attack #3 (sword wave) for Guardian would often miss. It misses anything that is either too short vertically, stationary, abit to the left or abit to the right of you. And I kid you not… I do miss that giant effigy boss in CF1 when he’s in front of me. And when the miss occurs, the chain will keep trying to do that AA3 again till it hits, resulting to huge loss of damage. I did find a workaround of some sort – make your guardian walk backward a few steps from your target right before the third attack, then it will miss less often, but it’s annoying to have to do so everytime.
With obvious shortcoming as such since right from the beginning of the game launch, with players keep bringing up this issues over and over again through out the years, with the consistent absolutely lack of Anet’s evaluation or even just a single response to the issue, it BEGs the question if this is indeed intentional. Regardless how super crazy it sounds, given the lack of fix/response, then the misses being an intended game mechanic are quite a plausible possibility.
@derv: Given the free time to drop in trivial threads like ’what’s the best name for your …’ or ’ Anet, Thanks for…" , mind if you would grace us with a few lines on the topic plz?

Please stop saying necro dps is the lowest, for god’s sake. How can you make a rant post about people not understanding the game and still say necro’s flaws are in its dps is beyond me.
It’s a fact that necro’s dps is the lowest in game. Necros also do not have any unique buffs they can bring to the group. Sadly enough GW2 dungeons can be played in such a way that most dungeon mechanics do not come to play. When stacking together in one tiny spot and burst dps’ing everything is viable, there are going to be classes left out.
I don’t think the devs meant for this to happen when they designed the dungeons, but none wants to spend 2 hours killing trash mobs before reaching a boss.
So yes, sadly enough, in the current “meta” dungeon runs, a necromancer keeps the group behind.
Prove it. Because I think you assuming, without knowing. I have participated in DPS test in the past. Posted videos on the matter. My experience with DPS says other wise.

@dev: as to your question as to why we come up with such lists, I’m sure people have given here and there in the threads, and in their own respective professions threads …over the years. For necros/rangers, not to say they can’t kill, but there’s always better options. Rangers got a bit better lately, though most of the time people don’t manage their pet and cause complication for the run. Necro is durable but sure take some time to kill their target and obviously not quite desirable over others in dps oriented/time-constraint groups. Though i don’t mind the last member of the group being one of them in most scenarios … given they know what they are doing and pets are well managed.

I had fun with my original guardian since game started so I decided to try his other counterpart, the warrior. Waited till lvl 80, which he is, to comment. The game certainly moved abit faster, naturally with the higher dps and all. Stability is not as readily as guardian, since it is neither in shout or banner, and the utility slot for stability seems to be always competed by other competitive options. And real issue is Adrenaline. The implementation of the adrenaline decline timer and the rate of the decline… how should I put it …. words like “ridiculous” “laughable” don’t quite cut it sufficiently. I killed a mob to fill it to a bar and half and it’s half gone or all gone before i reach the nearby mob. I wonder how the devs could test this out and without seeing something weird amid… or there was even any test done at all. The one times i can actually use 2 or 3 bars is in dungeons or events with vet or champ mobs. Anyone feel the same way?

I play from day1 and all I’ve seen till now is: bad players/afk players/pug that wants to lead kicked off party.
This is and this will ever be.
Some problem are in the fact that in the actual system, a bad player has no way to play dungeon, cause put off the concept of dungeon opener, he will be kicked even if he opened.
I think the last system was better, but I don’t find any improvement in changing the nr. of kicks required.
A great improvement for comunity will be make kick impossible after mid dungeon/fractals. with an exceptions for chashes and afk. If something like this is possible.
Then the bad player should stop being a bad players. I have no issue with people first time at a dungeon, given they learn, listen and have some adequate level of skill. A bad player is a different story. Entering a dungeon knowingly one’s not ready for the challenge , ain you expecting to be carried? If you insist on the Bad Player’s Right To Be Bad or the Right To Be Carried, you will have to explain why must we have to carry them? I’m amazed at the logics level some people have at times.

What’s the point of raising levl cap. Level is nothing more than a mere number. Suppose that you now have reached the new level cap, then what? more new level cap? Or perhaps you mean you want your natural stats to be increased? That can cause some turmoil in pve balancing.

I will have to disagree with that. Being 3 hits is one of the main attraction. It counts 3 times toward the 5th hit for the burning Virtue. It creates at least 3 chances for crit for sigil purpose.
The flaw of the sword AA3 lies in that a) count as projectile attack when you generally in melee when that occurs , and further subject to limitations of projectiles and b) the narrow cone shape that often missses anything that any that flies too high, stay too low or too much to the left/right.

Maybe I was sleeping the whole time, but which exactly sigil or upgrade that does that? I don’t recall a single one.
I wouldn’t trash celestial. Even discounting healing power and condition damage, the sum of the remaining stats of Celestial are on pair with the sum of stats offer by zerker or pvt. Therefore, Celestials are great as tools to increase overall stats. The downside is of course the lack of specialization. I have chests, shoes, legging as celestials and the rests of the pieces are combination of Zerker + Assasin + PVT as I see fit. Sure I am probly weaker in damage than a pure zerk, but not too far behind while usually last man standing in a near wipe.
AA chain#3 should have the cone’s width of elem’s lightning whip and also should behave like it too (e.g. not projectile) . Sword#2 should be used without target. Sword#3 – piercing projectile… maybe then it’ll be worthwhile. Powerful blade Trait is boring — make it inflicting vulnerable for like 5 sec on crit.
@OP: What abuse? votes of the remaining 4 members is 50%, not 40%. Since when the jury includes defendants? Don’t mess with me on math. It’s their group that you join, their expectations, they can do w/e they want. Dont be a kitten. How about Start your own group with your own expectation? what stopping you from making your own group? Why must you insist on being in someone else’s ? Answer that first.

This is just a general opinion of the vote kick system. I think it should be removed, or be more unanimous, as it is heavily abused. I see players kicked all the time for simply being sub-80, and I myself am tired of being vote kicked for no apparent reason. I think it detracts from the game in a significant way, and I think it is a convention that should not be upheld, along with many others that were rewritten in guild wars 2; especially considering the ease with which parties may be formed for dungeons. The lack of a vote kick system in Guild Wars 1 was phenomenal. Please remove or modify this system in a way that it does not have such a negative impact on ordinary ‘pick up group’ experiences. Thank you.
It’s ego-hurting to be kicked, yes. But may I suggest you start your own group? Why must you insist to be in a group started by someone else? What stop you from start a group? a little lack of confidence and initive-taking gut there? That is YOUR problem, not the group. People start their group with a particular expectation of performance and/or efficiency. You can hate them, but you can’t blame them. If group say 80s , aint you disrepectful entering it as a lowbe? if you group say exp and you are not, aint you shamelessly expecting to be carried by joining and remain silent until found out? They don’t force you to be in their group. And you don’t have to be in their group. They have all the right to remove you if they see you not befitting their goal. Don’t come into MY home and complain why the host have rights to kick out guests. The solution you are looking for is always there: make your own group.
@derv: 3 votes can be too much. I disagree. 2 is good. People who are afraid of being kicked either venturing into groups they are not fitting the expectations or a griefer looking for better setting to grief.

I hope people read their employees’ reviews in the link above. Especially, the 3 stars one. These info make me questioning my stay with GW2
I can tell you my favorite one before the ranger. There’s at least 5 of them. Mained ranger in gw1. Couln’t get rid of pet in gw2, so I get rid of the ranger instead.
Whatever that secret is, I’m only interested if it does involve new legendaries that are promised early 2012.
In their defense, I will say they do listen, as in they do read posts with/without acknowledgement. However, listening is only half o the equation, ‘realization’ is the other. Many obvious shortcoming in skills/traits have been repeatedly called out since the start but neglected still or only fixed recently after a whooping two years.
‘listening’ or not, in the end, they always do things as they pleased and always have been that way. If any update that people like, it’s merely a coincidence.
