You can’t merge sooo… you can’t destroy the progress.
Technically this isn’t true though, since you CAN merge, but only if everyone is outside of an instance, which isn’t a bug. When I tried it, it didn’t destroy the instance when I did merge by leaving the instance, but I merged into a group that didn’t have an instance, if both groups had an instance I believe it would destroy the person merging and keep the instance merged into.
I would consider that since we haven’t even seen a “You can still merge bug” post that it’s fixed.
Actually if 2 instances are opened and you merge from outside they both remain. If you use the portal to the dungeon you enter your own(the one you previously opened). This goes for instance owners. I didn’t test for other party members.
Nah they fixed a bug causing it to pulse less. Like they fixed a bug that caused all turrets to have lower damage and bigger hitboxes.
Just like guardian symbols were bugged a while ago and the animation and damage were both smaller. Fixed.

Okay jack hole in this boss fight staff is the only ranged weapon i had besides axe. It’s not exactly safe trying to melee the firestorm while your party SHOULD be taking out the berserker.
And I say again with my staff (yes i know the DPS blows but I had no other options at the time.) I was out DPSing two eles and two guards. So my fate was to be stuck with so called “meta” classes that suck at life. Get over yourself. Meta classes have nothing to do with it it’s people running kitten low dps builds.
It’s not about being necro. It’s about using subpar weapons for your class. If those 2 guards were not dps you should be able to tell pretty fast, way before last fractal. Not many “support” guards with gs+s/f. Staff, mace, scepter are always a red flag. With ele is pretty easy to tell if they do a might rotation or just randomly press buttons.
Also this is the risk of not gearchecking and not paying attention during the run.
If you’re ok with them not running dps then maybe ask them to kite firestorm while you dps berserker? Although kiting is a bad strategy.
Edit: Level 14? I think if 5 people in full sentinel just press autoattacks berserker should be dead in 30-60s.

If you run turrets in spvp you’re gonna get owned so so fast. Except net turret which has certain scenarios it might be useful they all are bad. Have you seen how fast turrets die to cleave? Like after you dropped supply crate? That skill is nice cause of the burst and stun and the wtf factor it gives. Minion necro works cause the summons move and usually they burst you down and fear+golem rush+infinite bleeds.
Why rifle turret? You’re only using the toolbelt skill.
Why go 20 into tools? Lets say I get speedy kits(although unnecessary) but power wrench? You lose a lot of modifiers from firearms not even considering the vuln.
Paths marked legit are mostly legit. Swimmers don’t go the extra mile to say stuff like that. They just think gold/h.
Jerus are you NA? In EU p2 is like 3g in prime time. You can get max 5g if you’re pushing your luck.

P1 and P4 you’re not expected to do anything at all except waiting.
P2 boss is either at 1% or they’ll portal you to help or they kill it from 100%. Mostly it’s 1% so no worries there. It’s a little tricky to kill it alone.
P3 varies. Usually they ask for help because the last boss isn’t necessarily hard to solo but it’s faster and safer with a full group. Same as P2, helping them is easy and reduces the risk of failing.
Most important of all, don’t be a kitten. Don’t be the guy who joins and after 5s asks “is this taking any longer?”
If you see people leaving or getting kicked they’re probably fillers so don’t throw a hissy fit about “omg scam noo”.
I bet hunter, crusher and mage crusher took quite a while.
But I heard lightning hammer skill#2 makes it so much shorter.
Stack condis on them. If they use endure pain keep stacking. If they use berserker stance just block and kite till it’s gone then stack some more.

The necro MELTED the gate faster than any ascended-geared zerk warrior I have ever seen.
Ignoring stuff like cof p1 “speedrun” groups were terribly bad and 4war+1mes was a silly composition only used cause warrior can achieve highest dps with least brain activity(not that pressing 3 and 4 with fgs is brain surgery) and mesmer was basically pull and timewarp bot..that necro learned to use fiery flesh golem exploit. Go figure.
On topic: While pugging I’ve met: 1-2 good necros, 3-4 good rangers, 0 good engis. I’ve honestly never met a grenade engi. It’s a bad thing to judge by class but since you can’t see the skill of a random player it’s safer to assume a zerker warrior just pressing 2 on cooldown is better than whatever those 3 classes do. When you see a full signet ranger with bear pet and shortbow or a staff necro fearing every single pull or even better, aggroing with ds #4 you’ll want to post a similar lfg. But yea, the worst are staff guards.

Hey OP we really should do it. I’ll use elixir gun cause someone told me the autoattack is very good. How about arah p4? All turret engi dps/support/crit tank builds?

OP. If it happens to start moving towards the gate(he really likes to do that for some reason) just stop pushing and do what miku said. Reposition yourself while he does one of the attacks. There is a certain position/situation when instead of pushing you can drag him towards you. It happens if he is really inside the wall I think. Hard to describe.
You can get the same effect by pushing him to an area where the terrain is uneven. Except the locusts part.
The main issue with wall is that it makes it harder to avoid p2 swipe if you’re lacking endurance(dagger necro). You can still avoid it by walking kinda around but I find it extremely unreliable if he’s at wall.
Getting kicked from pugs for using assassins + berserker mix instead of pure berserker as engi. Fun.

2)You’re assigned close. Close is probably safe anyway since everybody rushes mid. Go cap far.
3)Everybody zergs temple buffs. Don’t be that guy. Go far.

CAP FAR. It’s no problem if you die. Just respawn and run to far. If you die. Repeat.

Yes. They’re not considered meta in any gameplay. Not in pve dungeon speedruns, not in wvw outside certain roaming situations, not in pvp competitive. In casual pvp there is decap engi which is kinda silly but people insist on using it. It basically does 0 damage and just pushes people around.
Staff ele and grenade engi. Other ranged combos suck.
Gandalf is staff/greatsword. Pretty standard pug.

Condition deserves to be equally powerful to full zerker. Even more given the capping issues.
Why would you want to remove multiple conditions in fractals? They really aren’t that prevalent there anyway besides aetherblades. Or in pve in general except arah and small parts of other dungeons like AC.
If the coefficient for acid bomb is per hit(6 hits) it might be a dps gain but the animation is quite long and it sends you flying away if you don’t position yourself carefully. It’s also only 1 blast finisher. Thumper turret has 3.
Super elixir’s regeneration is kinda bad unless you run healing power. With healing power it scales pretty well, at least from the wiki description.
Camping grenade kit except doing a might stack rotation with bomb kit is what engi is supposed to do given the amazing vulnerability it stacks. That’s the major(only?) selling point of engineer in pve dungeons. Kit swapping takes a bit of time so keep that in mind. Thumper turret gives 6 more might stacks which are way more valuable than 3 more conditions removed except very niche situations.
Also I have a feeling fumigate isn’t really a dps gain. Assuming your group has a guardian/mesmer for reflects, they both can handle conditions better than engi. You can chip in with 2 removed every 15s if necessary.
Stunbreakers are overrated in pve. They’re just a nice perk to skills not specific reason to take them.
Not sure why short fuse instead of explosive powder. You spend most of your time autoattacking. Even incendiary powder might work given you do quite a bit of condition damage and burn stacks in duration so it should scale nicely with condition duration you already have capped.
Elixir gun is quite useless. Only 1 useful skill(fumigate) and it’s weird to use. You can cure conditions with heal turret but it’s not really your job and you lose every single dps by swapping to elixir gun. Just..don’t.
I’d use rifle turret for longer fights and thumper turret(3 blasts ftw) on shorter ones. Overcharge, blast, rumble. It’s kinda tricky to land all your blasts especially that turrets die to mob hits. But then if you want an easy class play warrior. Remember thumper overcharge launches foes so it might ruin stacked mobs. But then so does big ol’ bomb.

For an ele, to switch between Fresh Air and Staff builds in FotM. For dungeons, only min-maxing matters, even with a sub-optimal build, dungeons are still very easy, without the need to retrait.
Another fair example is pugging Arah then realizing that the pug is bad and you end up solo or duo Lupi without Vigor on crit. It can be painful for eles, but still feasible without the need to retrait.
You’d probably have to use endurance food besides vigor for guardians given the nerf.
It’s not like it gives you a fancy title like Giant Slayer. It’s just a few AP you can get in other ways. What about thrist slayer? After karma nerf it’s not so easilly doable. Except gold sinking.
Kholer takes like 1min in pugs that only use autoattack. It’s 2s if you have an ele. 10 dragonite is more than enough.
Keep in mind temple events take long. Even if someone else does the pre. Just by the insane scaling. You’re looking at at least 5min for golem for about 20 dragonite. And that’s the faster one. Lyssa, shaman, jormag..you get the point. Not even considering you have to stalk certain websites and server jump.
Main problem will be people would farm them. It makes sense to find a quick optional boss and then reset the instance. Rinse and repeat. Arah p3 has at least 6 optional bosses and i’m sure i’m forgetting something. Assuming champs=bosses.

Even 25 is far too much for an optional boss. I think 10 would be pretty fair.
Arah P4 will still be worth buying for the prestigious Dungeon Master title. So will be ac p1 for leveling alts.
Fractal skins seem to drop less but ascended chests more. Purely anecdotal so keep that in mind.
If you did TAFU before aetherpath was introduced I don’t think you need to run it.
Merging(i.e griefing) aside, skill is rewarded. Arah selling is quite a nice way of virtual income. They should maybe reintroduce the gauntlet. Not the deadeye farming though.
OP. Hi there. Are you aware of the fact that it’s sometimes difficult to get people to sync for CoE P1 puzzle? Or for lasers? Or for Arah P1 tar boss? Or everbody’s favourite dredge fractal?
Have you ever tried to complete marionette? Or tequatl? Or wurms? Have you seen it fail because people obviously can’t handle thinking and organizing stuff? Even though it requires almost 0 thinking? Even if there is a commander that explains everything?
Good. This thread is now about stacking=exploiting. Of course it is.
This is quite the bad strategy. It’s counter-intuitive but it’s faster/better/safer to just burst down one of them. Berserker usually. Clearing enraged stacks takes too long, people tend to die because jumping is too hard and even a bad dps group should kill one of them in 1min.
If your group has a guardian it can aegis the first 2 hits of the berserker. This is more for squishies like eles because it doesn’t hit that hard. Also wall of reflection for firestorm.
With zerker nerf people would probably gearcheck even more. It makes sense. Then the magi/pvt crowd will qq more. Then they’ll nerf zerker some more. After a while, when cof p1 will take 30min or so everybody will move to wvw.
This was their plan all along!!
