Ignore the army of bads who didn’t bother to read your post or understand it and just went “use sword man cause boon sharing melee dps blabla”. Longbow on ranger is a perfectly viable choice for that situation. They just repeat what others say without understanding context, optimization or trade-offs.
You forgot grenade toolbelt but your rotation is pretty spot on. There isn’t currently an optimal rotation. I usually do might rotation and even swap to shield just for the blast and then replace with rifle. Grenade toolbelt, rifle 3 and 5 are probably the most burst so you might want to start with those.
The second part of my suggestion is that the XP should be missing from the chest if the player does not contribute to the final boss kill – i.e. do reasonable damage.

Incendiary powder replaced with chilling powder! Critical hits inflict chill with 30s ICD, glacial heart style. The trait is too good to let just the guards enjoy it.

Basically tooltips are broken mostly.And turrets are broken in general. Only thing they didn’t add is ‘only works if enemies are within range’.

Turrets die in like 15s from the staff auto of a bunker guard.
Autoattack the turrets with shortbow.
Engineer has 0 stability and at most 1 stunbreak but just accept there are hard counters and play terror necro. Or any necro.
It’s quite popular in foefire for the mid node. It’s not game breaking but annoying just like anet wanted npc builds to be. Working as intended. Now if only we can get supply crate hovering too.
When you say SD builds you mean builds that take SD and not make it a central part of the spec, right? Like 66002. Cause SD-centric builds are terrible in fotm and dungeons.
Oh it’s the whole elixir gun thing again. Fumigate is situational so I will give you that. So 2 skills. You don’t want more area retaliation than those annoying guardians cause all the time.

Well..replace the greatsword with longbow, remove 4 in arms, put 2 in tactics and 2 more in discipline and you’ve got a proper pvp build.
I have like 12k achievement points, all 8 classes to level 80 so I’m like way more pro. I also have just one legendary so we’re even on that part. No commander tag though so if you want to chip in with some gold to make me an even better player I gladly accept donations.

It’s purpose is to blind enemies not to blast for stealth. You can still use it for that but why not just use bomb?
Edit: thumper will trigger 2 blasts at once when you detonate after overcharge.

Besides being ugly their color scheme doesn’t allow for any color coordination in armor dyes because it simply clashes. If they looked like a slick black leather bag people would complain less. Or maybe some techy thing like the molten backpiece. A misshaped mass of band-aid colored cloth is the worst possible choice so naturally they went with that. Add some random hanging bottles, a keg and a red rag that hangs awkwardly to top things off.

Speaking of engineer you recommend flame turret for the smoke field but that overcharge only works if your turret is hitting a target making it useless(basically) for stacking stealth. You are better off with bomb toolbelt, heal turret, shield#4, thumper toolbelt, elixir gun#4 used with smoke bomb. You can skip the heal turret so you can replace with med kit for a bit more swiftness. This way you can swap all 3 utilities while running to either toolkit for block, elixir s for more stealth etc. Just be careful or outright skip bomb toolbelt since the radius it has is problematic in certain scenarios.

Mine toolbelt is pretty neat to proc a bunch of static discharges against thrash mobs. But in fractals you may want to take toolkit for the extra block. It’s kinda mandatory for mai trin and pretty nice in most other places. Elixir gun is a dps gain but it’s kinda iffy to use and has 1 useful skill only.

It’s close to warrior which we all know is the only infinite dps class.
The downside is not the trait investment. It’s about it being broken. The way it procs is weird and the detonation of said mine requries movement from mobs. Even if the mobs move it still doesn’t detonate reliably. Compare that to modified ammo which is a 2% dps boost per condition.
It’s just too much of a hassle in pve. It may have uses in wvw/pvp with certain rifle builds but it still is quite wonky.
So basically the meta build with celestial gear and a dumb trait replacing explosive powder. Sigil choice is debatable I guess. Should I make a “new” build with 66002 but with rabid gear and call it “pve condition facetank awesomeness build”? At least it would use aristocracy runes so it would be kinda different.
I mean I understand the desire to spice it up or whatever but is there a point to it really?
Auto is like 8k. The teleport shot 16k. Or so I’ve been told.

Anyone not in dps gear is hurting the world bosses events.
Only dumb pug heroes take warriors for dps and stack 3+ of them. Even if necro can outdps war(no chance vs thrash) that would mean nothing.

Using gs3 to evade from the big aoe is quite a huge dps loss but it makes it a lot easier.

How about we make them work with kits first? Given how any decent engi build requires kits? At least 1 and most run double even triple kits.

You could always have an Equipment bag/box in your inventory. That would prioritize the dagger dropped into your inventory to that specific bag.

It’s the least played and most ignored by devs. There is one guy on their team that plays engi but I’m not entirely sure he even knows all the kits.
2 years from now there will be posts about fixing the bunker meta that plagues pve dungeons since devs actually listened to this guy.

For every gear piece not berserker/assassin boss becomes Concerned(23h). Like in real life, where real bosses get concerned about your effectiveness.
Increases damage just enough to compensate for defensive stats. People now take the same damage as if they wore dps gear.
And legendaries don’t ‘fit’ with the profession (hip shot with a sniper, or use a clown pistol)
It’s not even about “fitting” the profession. They flat out don’t work with a kit which is how engi is 90% of the time.
Yes. Using a cc skill on a boss with no defiant stacks to remove 99% of boss’ hp is pretty good idea. Totally balanced too.
Necros have no cleave. No team buffs. They can’t help others in any way. On the upside MM necro can roll face on keyboard melting people and/or chain fear.
Engi has a lot of condition spamming. Downside: horrible looking kit backpacks. Also kinda weak to conditions themselves but mainly the hobosacks really.
