The old legendary weapons were cool but the new doesn’t look very good is more like April’s fool prank skins plz stop trolling the players an design cool things like you did in the past, the legendary weapons are unique you cant brutalizing them like this make weapons look like weapons with 80% realism an 20% kitten. Feel free to share your thoughts about the upcoming legendary weapons an what you want to look like.

So here is a personal story that’s hard to do even with a group. WTH, didn’t they learn with the last story of the original GW2. Make it solo friendly. Personal story should be just that…..no need for a group.
As said, I paid my money, I should be able to try any content.
I can be the absolute worst, yet I can do raids, PVP, W vs W, jumping puzzles, but not this current event.
I want a refund…..lol
saying “i payed money so i should be able to do every content in the game” is rather interesting thing is you can theres no pay wall just do the encounter at least you dont have to pay for the content and with just the money of the expac you can do everything.

I donno i was a little disapointed with the weapons. I was hoping there would be a staff in there the potentail for a beautiful staff was great but there wasnt one.
they had to pick any 5 types of weapons because they had to take into acount how many people would’ve beaten HoT.
They based the set on the 5 base characters so even players without extra character slots could do it. It’s on point of all achievements that everyone should be able to do them.
If they made a sixth weapon, then you get dangerously close to the ‘pay2win’ discussion (I mean, it’s only fashionable, but since there are AP tied to it..)But I agree somewhat in your point, and I think it’s kind of a shame there are two greatswords in the collection. I personally think the low tier greatsword shouldn’t have been there, only the final reward version
thre are not 2 gs the old caladbolg was a gs so its fitting there an upgraded one (you simply get the old one’s skin at the end.)

This kind of thing is what I love to do the most, yet I am denied it. I payed good money for this game, yet they are gonna stop me from trying certain content because I’m not good enough to do the last story of HoT.
No one is stopping you form doimg what you like only your self . Is the last fight hard compaired to the whole campaign? YES 100% but not as hard as you make it to be you just need to abjust your skill weapons and traits to fit your needs. You cant expect to run through all the content without adapting your build. And tbh i prefer this fight annoying af sure and there could have been better tuning for certain moments but at least i remember this fight unlile the joke that is zhaitan.

I’m sorry, because I’m usually VERY on board with everything that Arena Net does. However, this thing with the new items required to buy the PVP Ascended Armor is unbelievably straight up BS! If I would’ve known I would’ve bought a whole set (or as much as I could’ve) beforehand.
I worked hard to earn the shards of glory and the new currency from the league season, and now I’m asked to basically CRAFT it like I’m crafting ascended armor normally (at a “slight discount” according to Arena Net officials, which is again BS… LOL it raises the price CONSIDERABLY). Again, I say, BS!
I’m sorry but I know that I’m not the only one feeling this way. This was an unnecessary change and should be rectified, although I doubt it will be. Unfortunately, if it stays as it is, that means I will NEVER buy the new PVP armor, that’s a guarantee I can make, and it’s too bad because the original way was a GREAT WAY for PVP players to obtain full sets of ascended gear, and now that’s been taken away.
I can understand them doing it in fractals, as you already have the chance to get ascended boxes just by playing, but in PVP it is absolutely a slap in the face.
Sorry for the rant, but it needs to be said, as I know others feel the same, and will voice the same opinions as me. Maybe we can get a change, as low as the odds are that that will happen, but I implore Arena Net to at least give it some thought.

Pvpers do not need asc gear and on top of that the previous system gave you almost full set in a day for free. Calm your kittens and do it the way the rest of the game does it if you want asc gear.

Ok i gotta say these last couple of current events (destroyer scythe, shadowstone/krait oil and now caladbolg) are so kittening good like srsly if this is what collections can be from now on i can die right now. It’s so good the last “guest” collection for caladbolg felt like an actuall legendary and it made the collection not feel like a chore. I dont know what to say i really hope the collection in the next expansion can be like this and the every collection from here on out.

i want it dont get me wrong but im sure anet doesnt want to have another HOT feedback
on mobs and overall difficulty .
The idea behind wvw is cool having each server fighting in brackets of 3 is really nice and all but it suffer greatly from the issue of server population since some servers dont really have enough ppl and they need to be merged.
What i suggest would be to take that a step further and make 6 or so servers for wvw specificly where ppl join and these 6 servers play vs each other. That could create the sense of factions since the less servers the more the activity and the “server pride” that will occur. Taking it further would be to add some narative to each server so theres a setting for ppl to follow but thats not that needed really it would just be nice. Also that would work nicely with the tournaments that used to happen having only 6 or so really active servers playing for the top 3 spots.
Anet could allow like for server transfers if this system becomes a reality so ppl are distributed to each server and maybe allow server transfers like a week before each tournament.
(i say reduce the servers mostly because other games that have massive battleground style of pvp like wow and eso have factions within the game which create the sense of competition)

What you’re complaining about isn’t a matchmaking issue but a balance one. I think most would agree that with the game’s direction pushing solo/duo queue it’s in the best interest of everyone to run builds that are self-sufficient. While not exactly “meta” classes, druid and engineer were very favorable solo professions for this reason last season.
If you want to play a build that’s reliant on support players being on your team, it may be also a good idea to just duo with an elementalist.
At the end of the day, forcing class-locking gives a much stronger signal to ArenaNet the strength of each profession and better identifies which situations they consistently struggle/succeed in. And if everyone suddenly stops queuing with their necromancers, that also will easily signal to ANet just how serious the problem is.
Thing is its a team based mode and not a solo experience which will happen if that change goes through. In every game there are classes/builds that work really well with other classes and the sinergy outweights the performance of each class if it was self sufficient, that creates further depth and also stresses the gamemore and anet far less. Since you live it to the players to make a comp for the specific team they are up against and the map. Im still in favour of that over having anet trying t find me a good comp any day of the week
Now the thaumanova has come to pass, and a lot of time has passed since. Quite
a while later, the question about Abaddon’s Fall was brought up again, but dismissed
because they didn’t want to invalidate the initial vote. But it’s been like three years or so now, if you make the fractal now, it won’t invalidate the vote. We’ve had the
thaumanova facility all this time, so the value of the vote has been more paid out.
Instead, I honestly believe that a majority of the people who voted thaumanova then,
would have voted Abaddon now.I find this particularly crazy since everything ELSE has been invalidated over time. The waypoint fee reduction wore off after a month. Kiel’s position on the Captain’s Council? Well, Evon is apparently on the Council now too, so all we did is delay how long it took until BOTH were on the council.
Might as well add the Abaddon fractal as well, particularly since they said they had some really good ideas for it. It’s a crying shame to decide to never put those ideas into practice because of a vote where a lot of people were voting for story or roleplaying reasons and accepting that this meant that they were also voting against the fractal they’d have preferred to see. (And that goes both ways, but broadly speaking, I think there were more people who voted for Kiel for story reasons, despite the fact that they’d have preferred to see the Abaddon fractal, then people voting Evon for story reasons despite preferring to see the Thaumanova fractal.)
so in the fractal it would have us maybe assisting the gods bringing down abaddon? this sounds like too big of a project for a simple release maybe it will be the finale fractal for the arkk story no?

We play the fractal AS the gods. Five to a party, five gods…
Depending on how ambitious they want to be, this could involve skill bar changes. So Balthazar could have the skills from the Avatar of Balthazar in the Ghost Rite instance, while Melandru could have souped-up Avatar of Melandru skills. Other gods could have skills suited to their themes (so Grenth could be something like a souped-up Reaper or Lich Form, Lyssa could be a superpowered Mesmer, and Dwayna could be a mix of air elementalist and healer).
A somewhat less ambitious version could simply have each player have an effect linked to their god. So the one that’s “Balthazar” periodically sets nearby enemies on fire and so on. Differences in actual skills used could be explained as being similar to how you don’t use skills known to the Flame Legion in the Urban Battlefield fractal.
it would be more like the gods stoping mobs that come to kill you while giving you buffs and at like 30% phase they drop seals on the ground and depending on which you step on you become that god’s championgetting buffs to healing boond conditions dmg etc
to finish off abaddon who goes berserk at 30%
it helps mesmers since downed skill 2 doesnt always save you

Another big “kitten you” for the people who were enjoying playing the game and getting rewards, having fun is forbidden you must do mind numbing grinds to get anything, spend tons of time in convoluted menus crafting stuff and take months because of all time gates. Way to go devs! Keep up the good job! The Trading Post is the top priority!

no u didn´t get what i want to imply: there was NEVER a real dependence on a healer if you know how the game works and the problem is that GW2 is even more binding to a fixed role as GW1 did and with trinity i not meant only plate+Mage+cleric/priest/monk but as my argument above says: that the core idea of trinity remains, because it needs some degree of tactics. as an example: you have a thief, a ranger, an ele,an ingeneur and say a mesmer —> in GW2 you just shred everything with the dps of ele,mesmer and thief if you had the core idea of trinity and my idea of SOFTENED class roles you maybe come to following solution to archiv your objectiv: The thief taking the main part of attention and “tank” in order of being able to dodge a great amount of a attaks (but still does a great amount of damage since it is his base role), the ranger focus on doing damage but if some enemies break up from the assassin he switches to “offtank” disrupt this enemies and keep them away from the other 3 members who are: the mesmer who is 50% doing dmg 50% interrupt the enemy so the life of the kitten is easier and also help the ranger to keep the “outbreaking” in line. the Ele mainly focus on blowing them into pieces but provies buffs and “heal” (like he/she already can in GW2 as already said) and the Ingeneuer also sets his turrets to provide also a good range of damage but is mostly selected to provide his/her medi-packs across the group since he/she has the armor to also short skip close to the thief in the frontline and is as such the “healer” of the group
what you say here already exists except the tank role in 5 man or open world and what you state for most classes works like that in raids no class other that ele atm is only picked for 1 think, sure one thing they do better but the provide so much more on top of that.
Not sure it would require to be a huge rework for a little payoff i think and i dont know how many attribute gw1 had but if we take all the stats in gw2… thats quite a number. Also non other than the vitality sets really affect the hp values. In general i find each class having a set hp value easy to balance and work around as hp isnt usually the cause of many problems…. well except for power necro.
(And for the record: I voted for the Thaumanova fractal precisely because we knew nothing about it and knew something about Abaddon’s fall. It remains among my favorite fractals in terms of story and setup, even if it’s still longer than I’d like.)
Even though i voted for Abaddon’s Fall, when i heard that Taumanova won i wasn’t really disappointed, because i also was interested in that event. I stopped being interested as soon as i have entered it and saw Scarlet (who i still think of as the greatest narrative fail in the game). I’m now glad that it wasn’t Abbadon’s fractal that won – i don’t think i could have survived seeing this historical event tied to Scarlet somehow.
i preffer it ited to the new fractal lore so far it goes well and i think they could easily add a harbinger there
The problem with adding new weapon types is that it’ll forever increase the workload. Future black lion sets for example would need to include spears.
The trick with elite specializations is that they can actually give you the same weapons over and over. They couldn’t do that forever however without amassing complaints.
What an NPC uses doesn’t mean anything. The watchknights have been using halberds for several years now. Spears were however added to GW1 with Elona, which has been hinted to be the target of the next expansion. If that turns out to be the case, it’s now or never.

also they went into the trouble of making some anmations of classes work with the spear (halberd) so why not? I’d love a halberd based elite spec maybe warr or guard.
if it fixes how stupidly easy is to get asc in pvp im ok id even put the asc shards as an end season reward for a full set so it balances out
When the next round of specializations come out, probably around the next expansion (whenever that is), they will be optional paths to the elite specializations already released. For instance, let’s say the next Thief spec is Acrobat, who gains lots of long-range movement skills. That thief player would have to unequip Daredevil and equip Acrobat instead. Also, there are a few people who actually prefer to have 3 of the core specs instead of the elite spec. Not many, but there are some.

Abaddon was one of the initial 6 gods, whose existence has had a massive impact on the world, and even though he’s gone now, many things are still influenced by his designs. essentially, free magic, unlocked bloodstones, the plague, the sinking of orr, the brandishing of ascalon, the desolation of Elona, and many things more, are the direct or indirect result of of Abaddon going nuts. at some point, he went to war with his brethren, he was stronger than a single other god, but an unknown number of them managed to defeat him, after which they flung him into to foundry of failed creations. from there on he caused all kinds of events that led to GW1.
and the point in case being, there was a poll a while back where we could choose between two fractals, and one of them was the fight between Abaddon and his brethren, his initial fall.Later, indeed, his broken body is completely destroyed and Kormir takes his essence

They give more ectos over a mystic salvage kit. If you have a surplus just use them to salvage rares.

Yes i understand getting bank summon is cool, yes getting other stuff is also nice but its at a point where its out of control. Im litterally standing with like 10 black lion salvage kits on each character and im at the point where im deleting them. Im deleting GEMSTORE ITEMS. Honestly i know they are really good if you want to keep the sigil or rune of a weapon or armor and for that reason you should feel incentivised to buy them from the gemstore and i trust me i like to get free stuff but this will also help i guess anet make more money from ppl that run alot of i guess frac 40 and what else drops exotics regularly.
Oh also while you are at it delete tomes of knowledge so xp boosters have a bigger value

this change it self doesn’t prevent class stacking. It only makes it so you hope anet will find you a good comp i think “no” is the way to go.

Hi i’m not really a pvper today i saw the poll and i was wondering it the lock on class takes place from the moment you que or when you are in the map and w8ing for the match to start. I understand you want to do it for class specific mmr but the thing is imho and from what iv been told from pvper friends classes and builds are really not such a big factor in low ranks and while in higher ranks they are not many ppl if any will switch to a class they know jack kitten about and they will go with safe pick where they know they can compete with the enemy team.
With that being said why not have the lock aply after the match started i mean there’s a down time when you join the pvp map where everyone presses ready and w8 etc. Why not allow the class swap up until that point right before the match starts and forbid it after it?
Edit pretty much what option “no” is lul i cant understand why voting yes is better here in any case.
