Ends today?
I’m still stuck at 12/13 invasion canceler…. If it ends today, I really hope they would check our logs and give us credit accordingly >.<

I am still stuck at 12/13, and still don’t know which ones am missing, anet should just check their logs and give credit to whoever finished the areas!!!!!!!

If you would show up on time, you wouldn’t have a problem. Of course, if you show up 30 minutes into a 45 minute event, you will have a problem.
The fact that you can have someone from within the event invite you and join the server means the design is faulty. So save everyone the trouble and open it, those who do invasions are either doing it for achievement or for farming, and in both cases you need to join a bit early to count.
Engineer and Elementalist in progress…
If I stick around long enough, I would like to see skills that actually relate to necromancy, and a cleave for dagger.
Engineer and Elementalist in progress…
You need to get at least bronze on ONE of portal events (kill one or few twisted mobs). You can AFK the rest of it — tested, works (got 3 most recent maps like that, getting harder to verify as I’m on 12/13 now and only get the maps I already did).
You DO NOT get a map counted if you focused only on Aetherblades / Moltens — also tested, even though the whole meta was success, I helped getting Scarlet, and we got her (got even the final reward) I did not increase my Invasion Canceller achievement.
That’s good to know, however I don’t want to redo all the maps again to check which ones I need. I’m at 11/13… No freaking Idea which ones I missed!
Engineer and Elementalist in progress…
I think it only counts onetime. Do the torches, trust me, the easiest! All in Divinity reach as well, so no need to run around the map. If you fail a specific torch run, then know that you took a wrong turn at some point. You can even have a friend keep you buffed up with swiftness. Helps.
Engineer and Elementalist in progress…
I’m not expert with engineers, but I can make sense from what Kingbread said. In this fight, you need to memorize the AOE patterns. Once you get the first phase right without issues, second phase will become your main focus. In the second phase all you need to do is just run in circle while dpsing the boss. The boss will slow you and weaken you, so condition removal skills are very important. You also need to keep in mind that, the area that once was targeted by AOE, next time it will be safe. Good Luck!
Engineer and Elementalist in progress…
Technically speaking not “failing”, but farming aether is way more profitable than portals ones because;
- Aether are guaranteed champions, so guess where people go
- Portals are a chocolate box except that when you open it there is more empty space than chocolate, aka, usually no guarantee of champions, you could go 4 events in a row and not a single champion.
Basically the event doesnt advance because of this.
Solution:
Quite simple really, make the portals have about the same amount of champions, and NO, the solution is not nerfing the aethers, they are ok now, but rather give an incentive for people to go for something other than them.
No!! To fix this they should remove the extra champions from pirate event. Pay more attention to the events vs time. You will realize the map is doing fine until the pirate event hits. Then you will see the aetherblade bar just stuck there for a while before going down. Then you start falling back until you fail it. So nerf the darn Pirate events.

Just mail us what we are missing, and we won’t complain….
Engineer and Elementalist in progress…
It was the worst experience ever!!! I haven’t raged so much before, in any of the previous achievements. Why? Because of the failed design.
The orbs that pulls you:
1- They spawn at random points around the arena, sometimes easy to get there, sometimes right next to a spawned clone. If it pulls me, I directly get downed by the clone.
2- They get obstructed by ranged weapons, that alone is a bug that should have been fixed ages ago. Not only it forces you to actually melee, but when u get downed, if you managed to target it in time, you might not always hit it.
3- Sometimes I hit the orb with CnD, I get invisible, but the orb doesn’t get destroyed. Now I’m stuck with revealed debuff because i need to hit it again.
Animation:
1- Downed animation: I haven’t realized how annoying it is before. Right after an orb pulls me, which [sarcasm] luckily [/sarcasm] it is right next to spawned clones, I get downed. The downed animation takes too long that sometimes I don’t even have time to autoattack the orb before another clone hits me.
2- Picking up crystal animation: Sometimes it takes few clicks for the character to pick it up. And even when he picks it up, the darn animation feels like an eternity.
3- Throwing crystal animation: NEVER throw a crystal if you are standing on red AOE. Because it takes forever for the character to execute it -_-.
4- Pulled animation: It takes around 1 second, maybe more for the character to stand up. Enough time for a clone to catch you or red AOE to hit you.
Limited Time:
When I got the achievement, I finished right when the time ran out. If it was my 20th try, I would say I lacked a bit of pattern memorization. But this is my over 200th time, and so I didn’t waste time trying to figure out what to do next. Moreover, you can’t go damage, defense, and mobility together. You need to compromise your damage output for more mobility, and defense. Which takes a bit more time to finish her off if you managed to get all 5 extra orbs on her without getting downed. There were quite of few perfect tries that failed only because time ran out when her health was at 10%.
Not Instanced:
I don’t want to be forced to wait in queue, I don’t want to be forced to watch others fight. I don’t want to be forced to tune down the graphics because the area is huge.
Death and Waypoint:
This alone made the experience even more dreadful. I don’t care about repair money nor waypoint money, although I wasted 6 gold on these. What made it so annoying is either having to wait for people to resurrect me, or I have to run all the way up, and sometimes the way is congested with veterans.
Arena Graphical Design:
No need to stress on this any further. Couldn’t do it on my guardian cause he was norn. Had a hard time on necromancer because green DS UI + red AOE = brown = ground color. Plus not all arenas have he same white swirl position, which is a huge fail.
I don’t want to see the gauntlet again… EVER!! Unless all the points above were fixed.
Engineer and Elementalist in progress…
It isn’t bugged, I finished it yesterday. I think in the sylvari arena, not sure. I changed a lot of arenas depending where there are less people around.
You need to make sure you hit her with 3 orbs at first, then 5 orbs. Do not over do it! Because if they have (orbs = 8 ) instead of (orbs >=8) you will have a problem if you hit her with 9 orbs. Moreover, when you hit her, make sure her invulnerability stack increases by 1.
Engineer and Elementalist in progress…
^
whereas a warrior get 10 stacks straight with just a button. 2 more buttons it’s 18 stacks. All within 2 secs and without having to use a weapon that hit less than a mesmer. Vuln is so common. I don’t suggest a build built around stacking vuln.
I dont use Axe focus because of vulnerability. i use Axe to be able to keep range, while doing massive damage using #2 skill, as well as benefiting from the 20% increased damage for life blast. As for the focus, I love it because the #4 does decent burst damage if we were 1v1, while #5 removes boons which is amazing
Engineer and Elementalist in progress…
I totally agree with you, they shouldn’t force us to do the achievements again, wasn’t fun grinding through most of them, and I don’t want to do them again. They should open them up and let people have the opportunity to finish whatever they have missed. I for once, have finished everything so far, except for the stupid 8 orb liadri that I can’t seem to get it. But all in all, I agree with what you said.
Engineer and Elementalist in progress…
I think you could probably expand on that border idea. Getting all the Champion titles in PvP could give the gold Champion border, for example.
Although I don’t do much PvP, but I like this idea. However, it will conflict with the Legendary unless it is either restricted to the Mists, or you could change frames like you change titles.
I disagree..
But hear me out. They’ve not yet actually released legendary armors, which is something that’s supposed to come out soon. So what they should do is when you’re fully geared in Legendary, they should enable this, because really, a weapon is only one piece of your character’s equipment.
I agree with what you said, however, if you look at your login screen, you are already considered a legendary equipped character (Gold Chest), whether you hold 1 or 10 legendaries. This should reflect in game with something, thus, my suggestion. You see, the world completion on your login screen can be shown near your character’s name in game. Why the legendary, which takes a lot more than world completion, isn’t reflected in such a way?
Engineer and Elementalist in progress…
Can you list all the maps that the invasions occur in? I don’t know which 2 I’m missing.
Engineer and Elementalist in progress…
The downed state in PvP is a little …. Demeaning. When I down a player in pvp, and they use up their #2 skill which interrupts me, all they are left with is my mercy, and all I can think of while stomping them is “Yeah! Yeaaaah! Plead for your life!”
Engineer and Elementalist in progress…
Second Suggestion:
Considering we worked so hard to acquire a Legendary weapon, and we only got a pitiful 5 AP, we should have something else that represents such an accomplishment.
Correct me if I’m wrong here but don’t you also get a legendary weapon to show off?
You are right, but do you feel justified after all the work done, to only get 5 AP? I don’t know about others, but I’m not a lucky person. I actually bought the precursor myself after gathering all the required gold, it cost me over 500g. I doubt I’ll even think about going for another Legendary because it is tiresome, for little reward. It won’t hurt anyone if they added a frame, but it would make those who worked hard for Legendary, feel worthy. Like the star for World Completion.
Engineer and Elementalist in progress…
First Suggestion:
I think it would be very helpful if when we select an achievement, it displays what we accomplished in it and what we are still missing. Two examples:
1- Dungeons: We have to predict to know what we’ve accomplished and what we are still missing. It only states the number of paths we finished, but not which ones.
2- Invasion Maps: Now I’m at 11/13 and not sure which ones I’m still missing.
Works with any progressive achievements.
Second Suggestion:
Considering we worked so hard to acquire a Legendary weapon, and we only got a pitiful 5 AP, we should have something else that represents such an accomplishment. My suggestion would be to have a Legendary frame shown when our character is selected. Just like completing the world map gives a star next to our names, the Legendary should give us a Legendary frame. Like the picture in the attachment.
Engineer and Elementalist in progress…
Why is everyone giving solo guides?
Just get 4 other people, run to faren and use the extinguishers immediately every time, it ends the beginning faster, so the crap adds wont spawn.
Because it is so annoying to tell people to stack, or move scarlet on the red circles? Or because the instance starts spawning veterans and many ads? Solo is the way to go!
Engineer and Elementalist in progress…
Fear da maddafaka away!
On a serious note, focus the pet all the time, fear + cripple and you can get all the meat.
Engineer and Elementalist in progress…
If you want to try Axe focus, go with this build, 30/10/0/0/30 Knight/zerker.
Trait the Axe mastery + close to death make good combo. You will do major damage with #2 axe, and once this on cooldown go into DS and burst them with Life force. This is a very solid build against other players. #3 Axe can slow + rip boon + aoe damage, the #4 focus gives you regen + vulnerability stacks on enemy, the #5 focus removes 3 boons off of the enemy. I love it in PvP.
Engineer and Elementalist in progress…
If you want an ez class the best is guardian. Here’s the traits you need, for utilities just take shelter, save yourself, retreat, stand your ground, renewed focus. Use a staff as well, the main focus is retaliation, every utility and virtue will give you retaliation on demand and remove the weakness/cripples on you. Don’t underestimate weakness this cuts your endurance regen which really hurts you.
I will try this today, I failed so far on Necromancer and Warrior.
Engineer and Elementalist in progress…
Man, it is very easy. First part, just kill those on lava rocks, then move on on top of slope. You will find 2-3 trash, kill them, pick up weapon, then turn off the flames. She will spawn 3 ads, kill them, then repeat with the flames. If you are geared well, you should kill them very fast. I burst them down with my power necro, which does less damage than warrior.
So now, head to the boss. DO NOT fight on your way to the boss. Just skip. They have patrol patterns, so you can avoid them easily. If you get aggro, run. First boss fight, just keep her in red circle, then dodge before the cannon ball hits. You can kill her then. If you have good dps, you might only need to do that twice.
In destroyer area, just stick to the right, you won’t fight anyone or aggro anything. Skip to second boss. Avoid her frontal attacks. Easy. Just strafe around her, you can easily see her charging attack. Make sure you are always behind her.
After that, you head to last boss. Stand next to barrel, she will shoot a rocket there, it isn’t too fast so you can spot it before it hits, dodge. Thats where she will teleport and stop being invulnerable. Kill her.
Have at least one defensive utility such as endure pain.
Good luck.

..SNIP….
That’s actually a great idea:
You get the bag loot from participating in events:
1- Exotic bag: Gold Participation.
2- Rare bag: Silver participation.
3- Green bag: Copper Participation.I pretty sure people would start farming events instead of champs, but the difference is that events take time to finish and scale well with more people. Which is the right thing.
This would require that ANet fixes the crappy requirements for participation first.
You can get a Copper reward in most events if you get like 5 kills. Out of hundreds. You can get a Gold reward in most events if you participate for more than 30 seconds. Out of as long as 30+ minutes.
This topic has a lot of weird propositions and some downright atrocious ideas. For example:
- To the guy who wanted the champion loots to be rewarded at event completion: That would not fix stalling events for more champion spawns, as you could still stall it and get more rewards, it just means that you would have to complete the event at the end to get them. It would, of course, do something about events that cannot be stalled.
- To the guy who claimed that no one plays for the experience: Have you ever played Monopoly? Did you happen to play board games when you were a kid? How about single player computer games? How about playing cardgames with your friends? It’s not exactly hard to make a case for all of those being about the experience rather than the reward. Because when the reward is just a “you win”, it’s not much of a reward at all.
- To the guy asking for champion boxes to be removed: Did you see how long some champions were up in the game before the boxes? Because I remember going to Caer Shadowfain multiple times every day for a while after the event timers in Penitent and Shelter were changed and it was rare for me not to see the Champion Risen Abomination just outside the camp.
Actually, when I mentioned that “champion loot bags” are given upon event completion, I meant for the champion loot bags to be removed from champions altogether. Therefore you are rewarded for finishing an event instead of farming champions. This solves a LOT of issues:
1- No more champion farming
2- You have people farming events, which is the right thing to do. Anet should want people to farm events instead of champions.
3- Although the participation medals are a bit off, if you stick around in an event long enough, you get gold.
4- For all those free roaming champions in Orr or other, they can put a little event upon killing them, this way you will still get rewards from them.
5- No more unlimited Ember farm, or any other stupid champ farming event.s
Engineer and Elementalist in progress…
I totally agree with the OP!!!
I don’t want to be pushed around by temporary content, take Liadri for example. I still have to do the 8 orb Liadri achievement, and the place is going to close soon enough. I’m running out of time and keep failing it. To make it worse, I have to wait for a rez or run up everytime I die. All of this isn’t fun.
If I don’t get that achievement, it would be the FIRST achievement I fail to get in Living Story since the start of GW2….
Engineer and Elementalist in progress…
In one of the interviews before release, ArenaNet mentioned that killing random monsters would give significantly less experience than doing events. This, they said, was so that people wouldn’t just mindlessly grind monsters over and over, rather feel like playing (and finishing) events would be the best course of action for them.
Then, we got the Champion loot.
ArenaNet introduced the Champion loot in an update that made the champions spawned during the Jormag event to not give any drops, since people were already stalling event completition so they could kill champions there. Later, people exploited the Orr event, creating very heated arguments both in-game and here in the forum, about how the exploiters were going against the players who actually wanted to do the event. ArenaNet effectively nerfed how the Anchorage event works in order to stop most of the exploiting.
I have just tried to do a Fireheart Rise invasion. It failed, but the interesting thing is that the last 15 minutes were a heated discussion, as a large number of players stopped doing the event when the Aetherblades appeared, and began farming champions in order to get more loot. Considering how it’s easy to farm champions without progressing the event (search for an Aetherblade event about killing the captain, and avoid killing it while defeating the champions that spawn around him), this was basically one more example of farmers hurting event completition for those who were playing the game as intended.
As of now, ArenaNet has just released a new update, with the following update note:
Mark KatzbachUpdated the advanced event scaling system to slightly reduce the rate of champions created by events scaling up in difficulty.
Now, I’m sure everyone has realized what the true issue is. It’s not a matter of making less champions spawn (wasn’t the goal behind the champion loot to make more people play events, so more champions would spawn?). It’s not a matter of making a few champions to not drop loot, as done in the Jormag event.
ArenaNet has to remove the Champion loot boxes from the game, and give those rewards to events instead. They should follow the same thing they originally did with experience points, and make enemies in the world give little loot, with events giving far more loot than they currently do. Change champions, so all of them are either an event itself or only appear as part of an event, so we won’t have champions in the open world that no one wants to kill.
Really, this update has severely damaged the community, as people are fighting among themselves. ArenaNet is not going to ban the exploiters out of fear of losing too many players, but they should stop what is making the exploiters exploit in the first place, instead of changing events to have less champions.
That’s actually a great idea:

There’s a thread in the Dynamic events category called Uncontested Temple of Balthazar, have you tried looking at that and guesting to one of the places that have done it recently?
Back when i gathered the clovers for my legendary I used to have this issue as well. People barely did that temple because of how easily it can fail. That was before the new events, so I’m sure it is way harder now.
Anyways, what I did back then was check GW2STUFF for any server that did the event recently, you can find it hanging on top of the screen. Then I guested there and got my shards.
Engineer and Elementalist in progress…
For all the people who say this isn’t a zerg fest. Yesterday I saw so many people gathered in one place, that I lagged a little when I got close to them. Then, people kept telling, including myself, the two commanders to split. They followed each other around, and as you know, when people see two commanders in one place, this means, they MUST ATTEND ASAP!
Another funny thing is, I saw a pirates event still going on, and a huge number of people were there when the pirates bar was already emptied out a long time ago. They were…. wait for it…. FARMING! That invasion was only successful because there were a number of people doing it the right way.
I’m glad they reduced the number of champions in the last patch. But will that stop people from zerging? We shall see…
Engineer and Elementalist in progress…
Many people might hate WoW, but they never had Overflow servers , and no Loading time between areas.
Engineer and Elementalist in progress…
You people don’t get it with your spread out farmers your hurting yourself nonsense…. As long as Captains alive and you keep killing his champs, not him, he spawns more champs in, so no you don’t jump from event to event as quick as you can.
Once people figure this out, you’ll see half of the map camped at one event point. Plus this scaled the captains health so doesn’t get killed by noob fire.
Don’t think you people really understand how many bags were talking about here……
I’m afraid after a while, when many people get all of their achievements done, they will start aiming for that.
Engineer and Elementalist in progress…
Gone like totally gone? Or in Collectibles? I remember it was there in collectibles, not sure now.
Engineer and Elementalist in progress…
The way i got this, is that I went to an event where are a group of people, killed several. Then moved on to another one. Easy.
Engineer and Elementalist in progress…
There you have it!! Let the farmfest…begins!!
Engineer and Elementalist in progress…
There are no zerg events in this patch – except for the last event in the invasion. That you don’t understand this only shows that YOU must be a zerger. Zerging in this invasion is something that you CHOOSE to do. However the events are clearly made so that people should split up in small groups to succed.
And everybody who is able to think for themselves would know that it is only in this initial fase that it is possible to zerg and win, because so many people want to try it out and do the achievements. But this is mostly only true for the high populated servers. I’ve guested a low populated server and they/we failed every invasion because they/we mindlessly zerged around.
So please, how about just trying to play the game like it was supposed to – instead doing what you hate: mindlessly zerging/farming.
I don’t understand people like you, i guess.
I am not saying that this patch is the best of all times. But Anet has actually tried to overcome the zerginess, it seems.
And by the way: There IS a dungeon in this patch.
Jobah, please come to Gandara and tell me whatever you just said. I don’t CHOOSE to be a zerger, and I can’t tell people to move on to another event. Moreover, if I keep moving from one event to the other until I find an empty event, I will get barely anything done. Players just pile up fast. Back in Orrian farm, people failed to wait 10 seconds before starting a champ, and many missed one after the other because of that. It is very hard to make people listen. Heck, there are times when we had 3-4 commanders doing the same invasion event.
Moreover, you need to finish all the achievements to get the tonic, whether you like it or not.
Yesterday, I had to group up with a guildie, who made it into one of the invasion instances, and spammed the join button to get into his overflow, otherwise I would have never been able to do the event. Now, imagine I didn’t know anyone who is doing the invasion, do you think it is fair to have to wait in queue doing nothing?
This isn’t WvW where it is fair for everyone to have a specific number of people from each server, this is PvE, where it isn’t fair for us to “queue” to do the invasion.
Finally, the “dungeon” you are talking about is more like a “story”. If you let’s say disconnect, you can’t go back inside and continue, and if you were the leader, you would have to start all over again. This isn’t a dungeon by the very least. Not to mention you can solo that in 10 min.
Engineer and Elementalist in progress…
People seem to keep forgetting that events scale and have been scaling since day 1. You dont have to be in the zerg to participate in these events, get a group of 5 people and go handle the parts on the other side of the map where the zerg is. You’ll actually make it a lot more likely for the event to succeed since the point of the event isnt to kill as many mobs as possible but to finish of as many invasion points as possible before the time runs out. The event is intended for people to split in smaller groups and go tackle as many points as one a possible.
I have finished areas with just 3 people so a small 5 people group should have no problem at all. Arenanet dont have to implement it, its already there. Players have to choose to play that way though nothing arenanet can do about that.
But you won’t spawn champions, which means you won’t get as many loot as a zerg with the current system.
Engineer and Elementalist in progress…
oh yeah? Tell me which zerg did you join for Sky Crystal hunt at zephyr sanctum, or for candidate trials? Update categories take turns so everyone will be happy. There are people who like zerging, who like puzzles, who like 1v1 minigames, who like exploration. Since July was mainly an update of puzzles and solo content, including 1v1 minigames, august is more zerg content. Next update is for Super Adventure Box.
Let me get this right, if you were able to get the same amount of rewards in a 5 man, would you still zerg it?
Engineer and Elementalist in progress…
In a few days that zerg is going to get a lot smaller. Maybe the events will be a lot harder as a result. You’ll then need to have a highly coordinated group of people that will split up into squads to tackle each event. The chances of you dying increases as well so it won’t be as mindless.
That’s what I thought when i first saw the Ember farm, the gauntlet farm, or any other farm. That eventually farmers will get bored. But farmers didn’t back down, they kept farming till the very last minute of the patch. After everyone get their shoulders, I’m afraid that people will start aiming to farm more than actually completing the event.
@AndrewSX.3794, I agree that would be the right thing to do, divide and conquer :P. However, people want loot, that’s why they would prefer ending a failed event with 30 boxes, rather than ending a successful event with 10 boxes (just an example).
Engineer and Elementalist in progress…
Easy solution if you get disconnected during the event. Party up with others on the map. If you get disconnected then you can get back into the same map as them. I make sure to do this with my guild all the time so if any of us disconnect (which for a few happen often), they have a “safety net” to use to get back into our map.
Doesn’t work, it will give you the overflow is full. Tried yesterday to play with guildies, we ended up in different overflows, couldn’t join them.
Engineer and Elementalist in progress…
It’s supposed to be a massive invasion, if said massive invasion can be repelled by 5 people, it’be more like a small skirmish.
Actually that would be truly heroic, imagine 5 people repelling a massive amount of enemies, then coming out victorious! It would feel like a real battle.
Engineer and Elementalist in progress…
I do agree that many enjoy that. However, maybe we have different definitions of “epic”, I also do enjoy open world huge fights, but I would have more fun if I actually make it to the end boss.
O (boss) —-————————— [ ] (Way point)
Still failed to reach her. Nothing “epic” about that. This is totally disregarding the fact that killing the boss is standing there spamming attacks. At least the world bosses has some effects going on. Heck, some of the huge mechanical trash mobs got more skills than the end boss. Just saying…
Engineer and Elementalist in progress…
Question:
Sigil of fire or Sigil of force? Anyone knows which one dashes out more dps?
Engineer and Elementalist in progress…
Mobility is the weakest point a Necromancer has. True as many stated above you can have swiftness, but you won’t be able to disengage from a fight like some other classes. So if you were defending a point, and 5 people jumped on you, most probably you will end up dead, unless they extremely suck. lol. Most people who want to play a Necromancer in WvW, is solely for zergs.
You were lost of whether to go condition or power because MH dagger is power, and OH dagger is condition. However, there is no doubt about it, if you want MH dagger, then power is the way to go, otherwise scepter for condition. As for healing, going 30 into blood trait can make your wells heal, but you will lose damage output, and the healing isn’t ALL too great.
So the roles you are looking for are better done with other classes such as thieves or guardians.
Engineer and Elementalist in progress…
Your trait tree has nothing to do with the dagger.
The only tree that has dagger traits is blood magic. And those are awful traits anyway…..
I agree with spoj. Unlike Axe, we don’t have any trait that adds damage to daggers specifically. We only have decrease cooldown of dagger skills in the blood trait tree. If you take the dagger by itself, the skills #2 and #3 are only useful in certain situations, not good to spam them. This leaves out the autoattack, which doesn’t have a cooldown obviously. So you would want to make the best out of the autoattack damage, and you can achieve that through Power, precision, and critical damage trait lines. Unless you have survivability issues, then adding points in blood might help, but will drag your dps a lot.
Engineer and Elementalist in progress…
And the zergfest continues!
Was it too hard to make a mini dungeon in every map, with the same concept, but champs scaled down to 5 people? Players can access it once when the event starts in the area.
What would you solve this way?
1- No need for high end computer to withstand the massive amounts of players.
2- No need for a HUGE internet bandwidth to support the massive amount of players. In other words, no lag.
3- No need to be stressed of whether you make it to the champion or miss out.
4- True team work instead of blindly zerging everything.
5- Everyone gets loot.
6- No one gets left out because of full overflows.
This is just an example, I’m pretty sure there are a lot of better ideas, but you should have known already that many people hate zergs. Those who love it, most probably do for the loot, which if you give it to them on a scaled down group, they won’t mind.
So please take it into consideration in the future!!!!
Engineer and Elementalist in progress…
This isn’t an “exploitation”, it is solely Arenanet fault, and it is too late now to do anything. Those who farmed, already did farm their eyes out, the damage had been done.
Engineer and Elementalist in progress…
If u know the encounters well enough for dungeons, u probably dun need to keep staff as off set and just run dagger/warhorn+ focus or u could take dagger/warhorn+ axe/focus(if u really want a range option) instead.
On the chance that u want to range to relieve some pressure, u could just pop into DS and use lifeblast instead and wait for your heal cooldown. This works well for me. Of course this is from my limited experience with necro in dungeons except for arah/fractals. i mainly play a guardian
What you said is true, however, I’m not someone who is picky when it comes to group setup. For example, yesterday I did a dungeon without a guardian, and without a warrior. So I ended up actually taking more than the usual damage, I have over 800 hours on my Necromancer, so I know my DS mechanic. Which reminds me, another key issue that 30/25/0/0/15 is squishier than 30/15/0/0/25 is the fact that you don’t have “Near to Death”. Meaning longer DS cooldown, and not ready when you might need it.
As for the staff, I like it not only for ranged attacks, works well if you are skipping mobs, or want some space from all the mobs heat. #3 + #5 marks gives you a little space, and #4 relieves you off conditions in case your heal is on cooldown. So I like it for the utility.

Yesterday, I spent the whole day trying the 30/25/0/0/15 build in dungeons.
Cons:
1- I feel squishier.
2- I lost a big chunk of critical damage from 93% down to 77%. If I use scholar runes, it will even go down 74%.
3- I lost a 5% increased damage (SR25)
4- Lost ability to enter DS every 8 seconds. Thus losing retaliation and fury uptime.
5- Lost DS pool size.Pros:
1- I gained some precision to break the 50%.
2- Gained 2% increased damage per condition on foe. On average the enemy has 3-4 conditions. That’s 8% damage increase.
3- Able to trait Warhorn. Not sure if I missed anything, but can’t say if the 30/25/0/0/15 beats my 30/15/0/0/25.
As for 30/10/0/0/30. I use that in sPvP, and used that for a long time with Axe/Focus. However, for a dagger build, outside DS, without fury, makes it annoying. I have yet to try it with dagger.
Not sure how come u lost 15% crit damage by dropping 10 points from sr because 10 points =10% crit damage. I can’t understand why u feel squishier. Both built looks the same to me unless u stay in ds for prolonged periods or u use ds to absorb damage.
Yeah sorry, down from 88% not 93%. 93% was my critical damage when i was running 30/10/0/0/30.
As for why do i feel squishier, I used to run dagger/Focus, the reaper’s touch gives out constant regeneration. Now, I no longer use that because now im using warhorn, and need to keep staff off set in case i need to go ranged.

Don’t like it- don’t play it. I love GW2. Sure, I would change this and that but who wouldn’t?
Stop making those pointless threads. We know, we’ve seen a lot of them. We don’t care.
Your post isn’t any better, just saying. The guy has a point, this latest patch has TONS of mistakes in it. When you see people making 800g out of farming one gauntlet boss, then definitely something is off. When you see people farming champs for drops hour after hour, then something is definitely off…
If everyone abides with the “Don’t like it, don’t play it.” You would be playing alone.
