I wouldn’t mind if the game mode stays in the game next year, assuming they make some considerable improvements. But if it does, I definitely think that they shouldn’t tie 50 AP to it so carelessly, so that it doesn’t attract droves of people who only want to play it for the AP. Leave the dailies and maybe add some specific inquisition achievements, but scrap the time-consuming participation grind for AP so that people who don’t enjoy it can move on in a reasonable amount of time.
I do understand that there are people who like it. But literally everyone I’ve talked to this year agreed that it wasn’t fun at all. Anecdotal evidence, I know, it doesn’t mean much, but since the developers aren’t polling people for their opinions anymore, all they have is raw data and these posts on the forums.
Nobody is forcing u to play it.
That’s not an argument. If you don’t have anything to say on the matter then don’t say anything at all. These kindergarten retorts don’t contribute to the discussion in any way.
Except it is.
No one is holding you at gunpoint to make you play the game. You can go play the labyrinth, the clock tower and do the normal activities instead if you want to. I and a few other people like the game if only in concept – it might not be perfect and be imbalanced but the game isn’t bad in terms of conceptual idea.
Don’t ask devs to delete things just because you don’t like them for any number of reasons. Deleting the game won’t improve it at all, yet you’ve got the arrogance to come along and tell that person that they’re providing nothing useful, as if deleting it would.
The appropriate “fix” to this spot is not to block it off. The appropriate “fix” is to remove Lunatic Inquisition entirely and replace with any other activity, like Reaper’s Rumble.
Or you know, they can fix the game, which has issues, properly, and bring RR aswell.
Because you know, some people like the game maybe. Just maybe. And they maybe don’t want the game they like being outright removed because just maybe they can’t play it if that game was scrapped, y’know?
Aw, who’m I kidding. Of course you don’t.
I would also like to point out that just because ghosts can do it too does not make it not-an-exploit.
Early in the game, people got banned for turning karma into gold with an exploit. Everyone could do that.
Please enlighten us on how us ghosts can jump up there. Theres at least 10 of us trying to jump up there because some kitten is kittening exploiting it. Even with swiftness from birthday cake none of us can jump up there.
I’ve seen screenshots, but I do agree with the sentiment that this spot should be blocked off.
It’s a bogus location.
Time to dig out my Lovecraft and William Hope Hodgson compendiums. Must be a clue in there….
Sc’thulu?
I will confess.
When villagers actually unite they can do reasonably well, however, the reason Ghosts are OP now is because they were terrible in the first year and lacked any way to catch upto villagers.
Suffice to say, MK says is a terrible and very lazy fix. I think the easiest quickfix is to make something like a buff called, “Mad King’s Sanction” on following the correct emote.
Also, things like the pumpkin don’t work sometimes so you miss out the rifle unless you hit a ghost which I honestly feel is pretty terrible. They should add more weapons for villagers, and buff effects as well from food, items and the like. Perhaps a 1 option for use on self and 2 for use on target?
Torches could give “Firey Retaliation”, for example, to self.
I disagree.
The whole game is already easy for ghost.
This spot is almost the only save one there is for villagers.
And not even completely save!! Its not that hard for ghost to get up there.
This really shouldn’t be a save. If the game is designed for ghosts, it should be properly balanced, not made with undefeatable mechanics to defeat eachother.
In Lunatic Inquisition, Villagers are going to the very back of a rock ledge in the southwest corner and the Lunatic dudes can’t reach them in any way or manner. I’m not sure if this is an exploit or not but it doesn’t seem right that there’s a spot impossible to see on the map and impossible to reach.
The following imgur gallery has screenshots of what I’m talking about. If someone can divulge information, that’d be great.
Also, if this is in the wrong forum, please do move it as I wasn’t sure if this should have been in the bug forum.
This was happening last year. I uh, personally accidentally ended up in this situation, hence why I recall.
@ OP Yes.
Arbitrarily making content temporary is never good in a game without good reason, and the only reason half the people in this thread are against it is because their special snowflake points will melt.
Your exclusivity literally means nothing to anyone but yourself. Quit thinking that people care about you having your shield and let people enjoy the game to their maximum potential. People who don’t like the skin won’t get it anyway.
Oh.
kitten , nevermind.
I’m looking at crafting the Spinal Blades, but I have a problem.
Blade Shards. I get 1 a day, and sometimes none. Never more than 3. As it stands, you need over 900 shards according to the wiki to make the top tier Spinal Blades pack, and there are three.
I get that it’s optional, but now that Scarlet is done there’s really no way to get Shards. Can we possible have an upping in the droprate from the Home Nodes? As it stands assuming you get 1 shard a day it’ll take about 2 and a half years to make an Ascended backpack. Long term goals are great and all but this is a bit -too- long term don’t you think?
It would be nice if they did give the difference back but OP, please keep in mind that they’re not obligated to.
The title of this thread made me think of a Xzibit Meme.
Maybe this is not the thread for you.
If they can make dungeons they have the technology to fix LA.
We have the technology. We can rebuild it.
I put on my wizard hat.
YOU WILL PUT ON ALL THE WIZARD HATS.
please make them tradeable, I don’t have enough :P
This.
I was considering investing in those but settled for LeyLine skins which are slowly creeping up.
Still, give it time OP. The thing with skins is they’re like ticking vaults. After about a month in most cases, it’s impossible to not make a profit.
I don’t know, maybe they were meant to be long term goals and the purpose of them isn’t just to buy everything off the trading post. That would be my guess.
I don’t really agree. The way this was designed is actually possible to have completed many of these achievements, especially under the new skin system.
Not only that, but due to the notorious RNG we have many achievements just.. don’t really feel practical.
Living world character equipment collection.
Black lion Armor collection.
Also pact weapons.

Simple topic. I admit I’m not sure where else to put this however but please move where necessary if this is misplaced.
We get a lot of dyes but if there’s one thing that peeves me about dyes and customisation kits, it’s that accessories, hair and eyes can’t be dyed.
Whilst hair is slightly better in getting custom colors now and then, having a bigger variety of iris colors would be nice. It might be tricky but I don’t feel it’s something that can’t be done without a little poking at the coding.
The one that gets me the most is accessories. I don’t feel accessories were done properly. The new Asura hairstyle with the glowy pyramids is an come step up from that, but there could be more improvements and variation such as streaks, tips, and other things. But more than that, this could be very easily resolved with a simple change – give acceptors dye-capacity. Allow me to use this expensive charred dye I bought, or this gorgeous Toxic dye, or celestial.
5/10 for attempt OP.
It’s because having monsters poison you when the monster info says that they poison is too confusing for new players.
The irony is now because they have the old abilities listed but don’t use them the enemies are even more confusing.
Baseless rants are baseless
I’m going assume you don’t know what rant means considering the context you used it within. Because this isn’t a rant. Not even remotely rant-like.
Everyone can judge for themselves.
Or you now presume its all too confusing?
You my friend deserve a PhD in Snarky sarcasm. Good work on trying to insult me over making a clear and obvious joke. \o/

The enemy can still attack you if it doesn’t need a target, if it attacking an area, or if it starts an attack with you targeted before you use stealth.
You’re missing the point. Some enemies can attack you even when you are stealthed, without having to use AoE. A good example is Veteran Archer in WvWvW mode. You can stealth, and they will just keep firing arrows at you. Being stealthed doesn’t prevent them from targeting you, and it also doesn’t appear to prevent them from commencing new attacks. So, stealth appears to do absolutely nothing against them except for blow your cooldowns.
I don’t know if this is a bug or if the archers just have eyes like hawks. But, stealth seems to do nothing against them. There are a few other enemies in the game who seem to ignore stealth, as well.
Define firing arrows.
If they’re using rapid fire and you stealth mid way I don’t think that’s.. Too unfair?
The irony is now because they have the old abilities listed but don’t use them the enemies are even more confusing.
Pretty sure you can’t get precursors from the weapon boxes.
Which is kinda cruddy but whatever.
I would think having a new player experience system would have something of this nature follow.
Unique weapon skins too? Or back pieces?
I wonder who TC is gonna stomp \o/
Can I suggest maybe making the minimum events needed 25 (5 a day, which is very easy to achieve) and that there’s a potential to acquire more rewards for people who do more than the minimum?
OP I’m not gonna answer. It might confuse you and stress you too much.
I’m willing to take that risk.
Not
Pleasant
Ever
You think that’s bad, the reward for acquiring all ascended gear is an exotic. And not even a precursor.
To be fair, 2 of the exotics you can chose are worth 200g, which is more than most precursors.
I suppose.
Still, I’d say they could’ve done better. Maybe a completely new and unique item or skin?
so halloween and wintersday is ok and totally fitting, but SAB is not.. ok.
Halloween/Wintersday > SAB.
Sorry, no comparison.
I heard it was something to do with meshing but I can’t recall the details.

Uh.. It was already inaccessible until 30.
In Anet’s defence, the skill was promoted as using the Mistfire Wolf as an Elite, not at level 30.
i don’t get why people are so hyped over minis, i think they are redundant
Because people like them..?
OP I’m not gonna answer. It might confuse you and stress you too much.
Rares can be gained for level 1. They are soulbound, and cannot be sold on the TP. So those you purchased the heroic edition should be able to recieve and wear the heroic armor from the very beginning.
Yeah, but those are unobtainable to those who dont have heroic version so if you dont have it you cant test it out yourself in any way (premise is that “vets” and “pros” know their stuff they researched and tested it out themselves because they claim they are so pro at the game)
Truth is – most of them could actually benefit from those tooltips and tutorials.
Its easy to yell “im pro”. Completely different thing is testing of that
Assuming you really consider this to be handholding, I’d like to present you the case that this “hand holding” is a byproduct requirement by changes ANet made to the game. In essence if the tutorials and content weren’t changed, no one would need help to understand that.
Now have you anything useful to contribute or are you just going to pop in and out of this thread to troll and pass snarky comments?
You guys completely forgot the Australian playerbase /o\
I still haven’t tried out the new leveling system but the hundreds of posts about it plus the videos I’ve been watching create an image of something very tedious in my head.
This is the exact problem with the forums. Most of the ones screaming about how terrible these changes are have not actually played the changes themselves. They just read what other people are posting (who also have not played the changes) and then regurgitate it. I have a feeling Anet knows this. It’s probably one of the reasons they don’t put too much stock in what people say in the forums.
It’s like my friends/guild/social circle would deliberately give a bad opinion of a change for no reason, right?
Donotwant.
/Charrs
All the people who complain they don’t have all their skills while leveling aren’t convincing me that they’re using all their skills while leveling.
As someone who does use all their skills as they get them, I’m gonna go right ahead and say that whilst I can’t convice you by any means, I do use all my skills and facts are facts.
Time to start a new reality series within Guild Wars 2, let’s call it Keys to the VIP’s
And call it living story.
I guess you could say..
Anet is.. *Key*Farming.
Edit; Bold text not working.
I don’t think it’s entirely bad.
Also, they upped the quality of chest drops, so keep that in consideration.
Don’t forget the achievement track that adds a daily chest in your home instance.
And increased chance for tickets and ticket scraps, minis, and permenent contractsSo while it may take a bit longer for key runs, I think they will still be done, especially with a greater chance to get cooler stuff.
I haven’t seen that yet myself but I’ll take a look later. It’s time for uni for me so I’ll have it download the patch while I’m out and about.
I don’t think it’s entirely bad.

I think this had been suggested before, though, this isn’t exactly bad. +1.
This would kind of suck, especially with some of the titles which were only around during LS1.
I’d appreciate but uh, what about skins?
The Aetherized bow for example is a compound bow.
