Been improved quite a lot. HoT was a low point, with WvW being hit especially hard where people were leaving left and right but that seems to have recovered a little.
I thought the Living Story was pretty good. Not really a fan of Ember Bay, but thought Bloodstone Fen was great, and Bitterfrost Frontier to be alright.

Anecdote time~
Thank goodness for those JP dailies.
Did the usual two (y’know, home instance farm and Completely Safe Capital City Vista) and saw the choice between Vizier’s tower …Brisban Wildlands, one of the worst zones for that daily.I happily did Vizier’s Tower, and I was even playing my mesmer that day, so I got to be the JP port guy! (Well, lady at the time.) Didn’t make a single copper off it, but I did get a lot of bouncy thank-yous. It felt good to be on the helpful side of the community.
Oh, I noticed quite a big crowd in Straits of Devastation as well. It seems like a lot of people were helping with doing the JP yesterday. You wouldn’t have happened to be around there about 6 PM PST, would you?
(There were a lot more people where green tag was)
I think this is a pretty good example of things going right. And next time I’ll remember to bring a mesmer for these things.

Matter of opinion, really. Most things on the gem store do not pay for themselves, and to me QoL improvements are better for me than 800 gem, outfits with highly limited customization because the former is always in effect.
I don’t even think the last 3-4 bank tabs are “worth it” unless you do some serious investment and/or hoarding. I also think bag slots being soulbound is quite a bad deal but getting it up to 120-140 is great when possible.
And of course the slots are not as good as other upgrades, because they rely on other items to be effective in the first place. If you’re deciding this and more bank tabs or something, then obviously get the bank tabs first.
I would put Shared Inventory slots in the same tier as storage expanders; slightly higher. And you can pay for less when it goes on sale inevitably.
for there you have been and there you will long to return.
(edited by ArchonWing.9480)
Shared slots are awesome, but I guess they should be hidden if you only have 1 character.
With more than 1 even putting a salvage kit in them is a huge QoL boost.
Then pretend your main bag is a 21 slot bag instead of a 20 slot bag. Problem solved. I can’t comprehend at all how you can consider extra inventory space a bad thing
I don’t (I maxed out on them), but other people do. I mean, I understand it slightly. It makes the rows uneven, probably.
The free slot is good though. If you buy the 3 pack and also have the 3 slots, it’s good enough for the gathering tools and a salvage kit.

Actually it was coming from the OP. He said in no uncertain terms it is bad game design. That is him saying he knows better than the devs about the design of the daily event completer. Maybe he does, but he doesn’t back it up with any sort of credential or reasoning. His only suggestion has been to take it back to the way it was and you still had people then saying that was bad design since they didn’t like it.
OP made a single post in this thread….
What’s with these dailies?? Nowadays I have to port to i.e. Caledon Forest and do events there and chase after them before they’re finished, or go to the Plains of Ashford and gather lumber there? What’s up with that? Why can’t I just do dailies in the where I am farming/grinding mats and exp? Old dailies where you had daily gatherer, daily event completion ect. were much better. Did somebody actually suggest this kind of change or what?
Also the thingy that shows where the events are (event tracker i guess?) is showing events where there aren’t any and chasing events over the specific map is not fun.
Where does it say anything about knowing more than the devs or a commentary about game design? Seems to me that just has a mere opinion about a preference about what was there previously. And it seems to me there were talking about fun.
The only thing that comes close to resembling what you’re describing is in bold, and even given that, you’re still using some pretty extreme hyperbole.
You could argue that OP was demanding too many things, but that’s another story.
As for the porting, how can a few seconds be any sort of cost? I can be in the farthest western zone, open my WvW panel, go to a BL or EB, take a few steps and be in Lions Arch in a matter of seconds. Same can be done from Heart of the Mists. From there, I can WP, for free because WP’s inside a city cost nothing, to where the city portals are, and walk into Black Citadel. From there, step outside to Ashford, go to the node. All done in a matter of a couple of minutes. You were the one complaining about the cost of going to Ashford and when it’s pointed out how it can be done for free, and quickly, well, it’s not quick enough because it costs you too much time. Not sure how a couple of minutes at most is too much time.
What you’re failing to understand here is that it is all relative. If there are other dailies in which I can do in even less time, I can do them instead. I can still call Asacalon whatever the less desirable daily. Again, considering I said repeatedly that these are small issues not worthy of complaining cough. But apparently any negative comment is treated as such.
Oh btw, look where I went today (I put this in a previous post) https://dviw3bl0enbyw.cloudfront.net/uploads/forum_attachment/file/234699/gw217.jpg
And yes, I say people because there are a number of people backing up the OP complaining about various dailies now beyond even the daily events. But I mention the example you gave because it illustrates how something can be done easily and quickly and still be complained about.
Oh, and just becomes something can be done easily, doesn’t mean it can’t be critcized either, btw.
for there you have been and there you will long to return.
I don’t have to defend Anet on anything. There is simply nothing worth noting about any of the complaints. The OP talks in absolutes about how it’s bad game design to have dailies the way they are and refuses to consider it’s just his dislike of it. Many people had the same point of view when dailies event completer was how he wants it to go back to. What makes him so much smarter than everyone else in his opinion?
What are you even talking about? lol. Where was he even implying he was even smarter than anyone else or that his opinion is an objective fact.? Oh, I see that around, but it’s not coming from the OP. OP was ranting for sure, but it comes more down to “I don’t like it” as opposed to whatever you’re implying.
And nothing in the game has to cost more to go to than any other place. You can get to WvW or Heart of the Mists from anywhere in game and from those locations walk through the portal to Black Citadel and right out to Ashford where it takes a few seconds to get to many nodes. All for free and all just as quickly gotten to as anywhere else.
You can walk through the entire game without using a single waypoint, I am, aware. But people do take WPs for a reason. The cost still exists in the form of the opportunity cost of not taking the WPs (eg time)
And the reason I highlighted that one point is it goes to show people don’t use the resources many other players, as well as the wiki, provide. A simple Google search of “foraging in Ascalon” brings up a link to this page, https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Node_farm which guides someone to the best nodes to be found.
So, you claim “people” but you used me as an example who in your words don’t want to learn the game, implying I don’t want to learn the game based on this one instance. And thus complain about it, implying that I don’t want to learn the game thus discrediting this group of “people” which conveniently includes me. Despite me saying about 2 sentences before that convenient snip that I felt that gathering dailies weren’t worthy of complaint because I think it’s harder to avoid gathering nodes then it is to come across them.
And you based this all on a out of context nitpick to roll this statement into a sweeping generalization about a group that basically encompasses everyone that disagrees with you on this matter.
Oh, there’s someone talking in absolutes here.

The only thing I want is consume all. Spirit shards are fine for the most part since they can be converted to gold and before anyone says it’s annoying, there’s where most of the value comes from.
for there you have been and there you will long to return.
I can’t speak for everyone but…
First off, I am sure many people wouldn’t need to have zone completer removed, but another daily to make 5 could be made, for example. It wouldn’t be a big issue. And I suggested a compromise between the two.
Secondly, the more general event/gatherer dailies were how the dailies once were, so some people preferred it that way. Although I guess you had to do 5 so…
And finally, it’s fallacious to assume everyone that doesn’t like the zone completer are incapable of doing other dailies. They probably are doing them when possible, but it actually doesn’t change the comments on the matter. Though I guess this again applies to those that only play a single game mode.
And as a side note, today’s dailies were pretty fast. Took about 10 minutes and half of it was forgetting where the JP was. I liked how 2 of the dailies were connected.

…sometimes foraging is troublesome in Ascalon, but alas)
This one thing is part of the reason why I have an issue with all the complaints. How can foraging be troublesome in Ascalon when there is a potato farm in Ashford that never moves because it is permanent and has been there for years?
This example goes to the real heart of the event debate…people don’t really want to learn the game. They want to rush in and get things done. Problem is, that is often the slowest way to do things.
It also goes to show people will complain about anything. People even complain when Anet gives free things out to everyone.
I would say thanks for sharing this knowledge, but apparently you said a bit too much. I’m sure you’re perfectly knowledgeable about all trivia in this game?
I’m not really sure why you had to blow a offhand comment out of proportion to rant about the ills and laziness of the player base. I’ll take responsibility for my own ignorance; you can leave everyone out of this. It’s almost like you had nothing of value to reply otherwise.
I bring up troublesome because Ascalon is far from where I normally am, and it can cost a penny or two more than other locations. I have a lot more valuable plants to gather than potatoes mind you. Plus I don’t like the visuals of the zone itself. These are fairly minor issues, which is why this so called complaint doesn’t have me demanding more nodes in Ascalon.
This one thing is part of the reason why I have an issue with all the responses to complaints. People don’t actually read the entirety of people’s post and make up their intentions.
It also goes to show you that people will defend Anet about anything. Even when the critics aren’t actually hating the game.
Anyhow, thanks anyways. I’ve tried several iterations of this post but found it hard to keep a straight face. So, that was entertaining.

It’s the same reason why I think, say it makes little sense for Daily Land Claimer to consist only of 1 sentry, but Daily Camp is 2 camps! Is it hard to take 2 camps? No, not at all, but it’s an inconsistency worth mentioning.
FYI, in WvW there are usually two easy tasks (Master of Monuments, Land, Dolyak, Big Spender) and two less easy (more time consuming, really) tasks (2 Camps, Tower, Keep, World Ranker). The easy tasks award one jug of reward track XP, the less easy awards 2 jugs.
If you look at the PvE tasks, there are tasks (gathering and vista) that can be done very fast and other tasks that take a bit more time (events, activities). The PvE rewards are varied enough that it’s harder for me to say that the chests award more/better stuff for the more time consuming, but I suspect that ANet thinks so, and that the sPvP tasks can also be viewed as faster and less fast to complete — although sPvP is not my bag.
Yea, I forgot about the reward chest differences— camp is worth a bit more.
Although that brings up another point. The gathering dailies have a very nice chest— they give you more materials than you would have gathered otherwise for little effort. On the other hand, the event completer gives you https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Chest_of_the_Hero_
And I’m not sure if that’s complete but it seems really bad.
I do gather that having better WvW and PvP dailies does encourage people to come on more. I just think there could be more options which is why I brought up Wintersday as the additional selection was very welcome.
I think the Devs did address the Daily Event Completion with the advent of Rift Stabilizers. The events are all over maps, take a few seconds to complete, and are available to anyone with a Stabilizer and can’t be completed before the time allotted.
Works great for Dailies, and even better for Map Rewards in places like Frostgorge.
Win/win. =)
That’s been a good precedent, for sure.
for there you have been and there you will long to return.
If you play only 1-2 characters regularly, the shared inventory has little use, and indeed bag slots would be better.
And of course the inverse is true if you have many characters. Shared inventory slot benefits them all, and bag slots are soulbound, in addition to the small possibility you might invest bag slots on a character you no longer want in the future— deleting them would mean the permanent loss of those gems invested.
Bank slots aren’t a bad investment since they’re somewhat more than a bag slot and applies account wide. I feel there’s somewhat of a diminishing returns on them at some point but having them lets you hoard stuff for more effective investments. Definitely recommended if you’re into that kind of stuff.

The fact that there needs to be entire discussions about how to do a single daily effectively while most other dailies can be intuitively completed already shows how out of tune it is with everything else.
Does it require an entire discussion? To me, it’s just as intuitive to manage event dailies efficiently as many of the others. I’ve seen people complaining about daily miner|logging|gathering (and starting threads about it) and even vistas cause a few people to pause until they learn where the easiest-to-reach ones are located.
The difference for event dailies is that there are so many more ways to do it and people tend focus on what’s in front of them rather than taking a few moments to think about other ways to finish.
Those I feel are different because Vistas and nodes don’t really move anywhere. Unless you sit in town all day, it’s harder to avoid nodes and vistas than to run into them. (Well, they do at reset and sometimes foraging is troublesome in Ascalon, but alas) But for the most part it doesn’t matter if you take 5 minutes or 50 minutes to reach them, because nobody else can deplete it.
And as a minor note, a lot of the reward nodes that go into home instances also give players a way to do those dailies easily.
And that’s what I think is the main concern. This game, with its personal loot and nodes, and basically personal everything else has generally avoided a big issue with many games of its genre by reducing the need for competition. When you have people competing for limited resource (tags in events in this case), there’s bound to be trouble. When it’s limited to a small area, it gets even worse. We have seen this pop up as an issue repeatedly over the years with Living Story, Orr events, etc.
And as a personal opinion, the game has changed quite a bit since CT zones were made, and given the faster movement of HoT/LS maps, CT maps don’t really keep up with the pace well for a lot of people that have been playing the game longer. Not to mention the power creep that causes mobs to melt even faster.
Again, I’m not against ANet changing them, although (as I’ve said), I prefer that they don’t waste the time. Better for them to look at event dailies in the context of reevaluating dailies in general.
Fair enough, but we don’t really know how much effort it’d be. What if it took only a small amount of time? Obviously if it took longer it’d be a reason, but I don’t think it’s fair to assume they couldn’t.

for there you have been and there you will long to return.
The fact that there needs to be entire discussions about how to do a single daily effectively while most other dailies can be intuitively completed already shows how out of tune it is with everything else.
If people want WvW dailies, it takes me all of 2 minutes to show them. If I don’t have the time I just tell them to get a good dps/stealth class and avoid combat. And guess what? They do it without fail even if they don’t do any form of pvp.
I am someone that hasn’t missed a daily unless I haven’t been able to log on at all for the past year. So yes, I can figure it out on my own. Yet I can understand why people are frustrated even though. Stop patronizing people and assuming they’re just all gold/AP chasers that want to be given it by logging in.
Of course they can complete know how to complete a Central Tyria event, but the daily creates specific situations that may or may not happen when you are around. It doesn’t mean it doesn’t happen. Even if it happens around 1/3 of the time, that’s enough for me to seek an alternative.
Hint: If an option is out of whack with the others, then maybe there’s legitimate reasons why it gets unpopular. It’s a simple matter of consistency.
It’s the same reason why I think, say it makes little sense for Daily Land Claimer to consist only of 1 sentry, but Daily Camp is 2 camps! Is it hard to take 2 camps? No, not at all, but it’s an inconsistency worth mentioning.
Personally, I view login rewards as the way to fish people in, and the daily tasks as a thing to keep them going for a bit. As an example of an effective zone completer daily would be one of the HoT ones. There’s no shortage of events and the nature of the map encourages players to further participate in the map. If it’s VB at night and you just got yourself up to 100% participation, it makes little sense to just jet out. Might as well wait a little more for the chest. This does have the effect of having people play the game longer because they’re working towards something that goes beyond a daily.
There’s a big difference between people that came for a daily and now are patting themselves on the back for helping with a meta, and people that came for a daily and their response when finishing is “Thank God it’s Over!” Because it’s a game, not waiting at the DMV.

The only reason why you’d ever buy a single slot at full price is if you don’t want any more.
The Shared Inventory Slots are a luxury item for luxury items. It’s meant when you have multiple characters with full bag slots since a shared inventory slot would basically mean a space saved per character. It has little use if you don’t play many characters.
It also greatly increases the efficiency of things such as most black lion trader items such as merchant expresses or scrolls that take you somewhere, especially those passes. And the salvage kits.
Without these items, the shared inventory slot has very little practical use. So maxing these things out should be the last thing you do. And in the end, if you don’t have those kinds of needs, then you’re just not going to find much value into them.
WvW’ers like myself generally have more need to have instant demand for things because time is important and you can’t save your spot to go back to your bank or something. So I have the WvW provision thing to buy siege on demand, as well as siege disables which I can never find hidden in my inventory fast enough.
The thing is that I don’t buy gems; I just convert gold to gems and wait for sales. When you figure it’s usually a 15% sale and gem prices go up by like 20% when there’s a sale as opposed to when prices are idling, you’re looking at a significantly smaller expenditure. Though I didn’t wait for the most recent one. Silly impulse buys >.> And obviously if you’re looking to buy them all at full price right now, you’d be paying one heck of a premium.
I guess paying that much of money does seem like a poor idea. Buying 16 slots at full price even with these inflated gem prices is about equal to a legendary, but I’d rather take it over the legendary.
I mean consider this is the same game where 1k gold is the cost of….
Perma TP/Merchant (alright, but spawning an NPC is cumbersome and trolls people)
Ascended Armor (increase your stats by 5% or less?)
Instant Repair Canisters (????)
A Precursor (only the start)
And then there’s that Tarataktun portal or whatever, which is a better version of the permanent merchant but has an insane cost. And yes, I’ve seen people recommend that over the perma merchant when there were complaints about the NPC trolling…
I consider all of these things overpriced and I bought a permanent bank (which is also overpriced, but at least it’s really good with the shared inventory) Besides, ascended armor which I am still begrudgingly making gradually for my remaining toons, I would never consider those other things because the benefits would be too small. OTOH, A few shared inventory slots makes a big difference and were always welcome.

Hmm, forum activity seems to have drastically declined since I started posting.

for there you have been and there you will long to return.
This game allows you to buy more bank slots than possible for some reason, and thus I would not advise taking the risk if you have the max (14). Though you can always just file a ticket if you bought too many, it is a bit annoying.
The best way to confirm is to scroll down to the bottom of your bank. If there’s a lock icon and clicking it asks you if you want to buy more bank slots, then you are good. If there’s nothing at the bottom then you can’t buy any more.
And the shared inventory slots are great. Though I kinda bought them and then realized I sort of ran out of things to put into. I think the mobile mystic forge would have been the best idea but in practice it didn’t really work out that way, and the terrace pass sorta killed it too. And having an odd number of slots tends to trigger my OCD a little.
Also as a minor complaint, I notice when you use stuff like siege disablers in the shared inventory slot and you return them to your inventory instead of using it, it doesn’t go back to the shared slot and just goes to your character’s inventory. I imagine that happens with other consumables like siege.
Still though, keep them coming! I need to spend gold on something.

But maybe you’re so vain that you don’t believe everyone is basking in your glory anyways. So why not immortalize yourself by making insane TP prices? I mean, you could also scale it down and say list it for 2000 gold— you’d just lose 100 gold.

Yea, it might take effort, but I also think people would be happier with “daily miner” as opposed to region miner, because that was what it was in the past, and I really don’t recall someone going “omg, I don’t like how I can mine anywhere and just get the daily!” In reality, it’s almost about the same amount of effort and also raises the value of those home nodes a little more.
And the idea that veteran players would visit low zones I think is a bit questionable. It really doesn’t solve the problem that they are generally overpowered for the area and in some cases not even allow lower level players to even get in for tags. Maybe if they introduced more difficult events in zones that would make more sense but that also defeats the purpose of having low zones as being beginner friendly. I remember how awful those random toxic events were on a new character.
And even barring all that, having something like Ascalon event completer would make people go to low zones anyways.
So to me it’s not about the so called effort but rather if something is so annoying, then I’m just going to do something easier and not even consider the former an option. So I’m up for more options. The recent Wintersday dailies are evidence to that and I am happy that I was able to complete dailies in many different ways.

I’d imagine dailies would really suck if I did only pve. Jumping puzzles and event completer are rather painful.
As of late though, it’s really easy with wintersday dallies. Yesterday I think I just did bell choir, opening gifts, and big spender. Asacalon Lumber would be a last resort but given lumber is worth a bit and the reward chest gives you even more it’s hardly the worst thing to do.

I5 Processor (though it is the meh 6400) and while the RX 460 isn’t the best thing in the world, it will certainly do the job.
Though not too sure about the shipping.
And then at the very edge of things: https://www.amazon.com/Asus-G11CD-B11-Desktop-Intel-Core/dp/B01DTCQDEW/ref=sr_1_8?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1483345691&sr=1-8&refinements=p_36%3A70000-80000%2Cp_n_graphics_type_browse-bin%3A14292273011%2Cp_n_feature_seven_browse-bin%3A3012497011%7C3012495011%2Cp_n_feature_four_browse-bin%3A2289793011
With the 970, this is significantly better than anything else around and can handle mostly everything. I would look up info on the seller and the warranty/return policy though… seems a bit questionable.

Personally, I’ve always just copied the entire program to the external and plop the same folder down on another computer. The only settings that need to be changed are the display/sound ones which naturally have to be different on different computers.
And as for the desktop vs laptop thing, this certainly wouldn’t be a argument of it was self-built but it’s actually proven harder than I would think The laptop I linked above seems to be the best “cheapie” system while a lot of computers at that price still aren’t having any discrete cards. Also note that a monitor wouldn’t be needed with a laptop though obviously if you have a monitor lying around that isn’t an issue.

On the subject after crafting tables (I can’t quote because apparently the tree is too long)
I find that incredibly hard to believe that they would hold a significant appeal and the only things I’ve heard have been a few scattered anecdotes. Crafting in this game by and large is for high end items because for most other things, buying off the TP is far more convenient. Therefore, I find it highly difficult to believe that new players are spending a lot of time crafting high end, expensive food, and ascended armor which is overpriced and a waste for most content in this game. It’s already an inherently exclusive activity.
So as for the more established players, I really don’t see why they would pick a much more inefficient spot to do crafting. I mean, I don’t pve very much at all, and I just got myself a royal pass. Or port to Rata Sum/Fields Of Ruin. At this point, going to WvW to craft just seems utterly absurd.
Furthermore, times have changed. In the first year or two of Gw2, maybe, there were complaints about WP costs which have vanished since it’s much easier to gain coin. Another thing was crafting for levels but that has become so inefficient that it’s really not much of a thing either.
Crafting tables or not, when people see their fps drop to 10, the populations are woefully imbalanced, the combat mechanics are questionable and often devolve into build wars, and general neglect is far more enough to click the leave the mists button.
I mean in terms of rewards, which would attract a much more general audience have increased by quite a bit as opposed to before. But the issues still remain.
It doesn’t matter what carrot you use when there’s no payoff.

I redid my whole post, as it was getting convoluted.
It really depends on the upper limit of what you consider inexpensive. There’s a great deal of difference between 300ish and 600ish but even given that I admit it was pretty frustrating to go look around and realize what kind of crap companies are selling prebuilts even with rather crappy graphics cards. I mean Dell is selling used comps with Core Duos for 200’ish??? Then again, integrated graphics cards these days are still enough to play Gw2, and while I don’t play ESO, I noted video recordings using things such as a HD4000 on Youtube.
Of course, given that I’ve been playing Gw2 up to the beginning of December on a 8 year old Core 2 Duo with 2 gb of Ram in WvW zergs, I suppose I have a pretty wide definition of playable.
Anyhow, this one is nice and cheap. It has 8gb of Ram and an I3-6100 For about $100 more you can make it an I5. I wouldn’t suggest it though.
Honestly, it was easier to find a laptop!

This actually comes with a graphics card— 950m, which isn’t much but it’s still a thing.
Also, maybe it’s my personal bias due to bad experiences, but stay away from Acer.

Yea the lag and the pathetic optimization needs to be looked at, and yes, before anyone goes “omg look at that complex code” I really don’t care and neither are the players that will alt f4 for the day.

Because they synergize really well with Revs. You will notice that any class or build that is marginalized or nonexistent with the big fight meta will most certainly have overlap with Revs. Guardians are the opposite and do things almost out of the box that has rendered them irreplaceable even when stability was terrible.
Guardians provide high stability uptime which revs lack and consistent cleansing while Revenants provide offensive boons, damage reduction, perms swiftness, and resistance to counter against condi spikes. Then when you add in all the CC/burst potential between the two, and that’s a lot of power. When this is backed up by, say, a healing ele or something that grants stealth it becomes deadlier.
So naturally this a is powerful combo at any scale of fight but it is particularly noticeable the bigger the fights get since it scales so well and always a welcome addition to practically every scenario that doesn’t involve getting on siege.

I apologize for my errors I my last post .But my point still remains that its not that hard to make or acquire ascended gear.I have six full sets that I made myself and 1 set from just drops. I have changed the stats on those sets at least dozen times in the mystic forge . I have so many rings I’m salvaging most of them.Back packs.rings and other accessories are ridiculously easy to get in the new maps.Oh ya you don’t do PvE or craft .Well that’s your undoing. Why the heck are you even playing for. It’s like wanting to go to the Olympics but you don’t want to train. It,s getting to the point where people just want it so easy all they want to do is stand in Lions Arch and collect prizes all day for nothing.
You reap what you sow.
But why does PvP get ascended armor when PvP doesn’t require it? And even if they should get it to explore other game modes (I bet nobody thought of that) then why is it easier?
I think the problem here isn’t the ascended armor itself, as the benefits from armor really aren’t that big but rather it’s being pulled out to give incentive to pvp, but they never really do that to WvW.
If they made it so that pve gear doesn’t matter in WvW you’d have a point, but since it does, you really don’t. People don’t want to get things for nothing, they would work for it, but in their preferred game mode. It makes zero sense that the best way to get optimal stats in a game mode is by not playing it.
It should be noted that before ascended, you were able to purchase the highest tier of equipment, exotic, with gold and badges.

Do you use Windows 10? There’s been many complaints of the Xbox app’s game bar causing trouble. https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/players/Fix-For-Big-FPS-Drop-MS-Win-10-Update/6358498

I don’t have a login or whatever, nor do I have an Xbox so I used the final option (powershell) to remove it altogether.
That was one of the first things I did when I got my new comp and have no issues with Guild Wars 2, and I have worse specs (i5-6500, 8 gb ram, 1060.)

I suggested the movement speed with unscathed contender before, so I would definitely be in favor.
