That misses the point entirely :/

Besides Ascended armor is coming very soon and it WILL be time gated.

I also like how you propose to sink tons of gold into an exotic armor set (btw, one of the best set for condition damage is Rabid and cannot be crafted), then for exotic runes, then put then in the armor, and then? We talk about the cost of experimenting.

Or sorry poor player, that set of 2g piece runes you put into a 4g piece armor parts doesn’t work that well, you’ll have to destroy one or the other and try again!

I’ve made the same argument that time gated or vertical progression that is extremely tedious or grind worthy will kill build diversity.

But for exotics I’d say it’s not that bad since I do just destroy runes and sigils just because I feel like it. It’s not really that cost prohibitive, though an extra tier would make it so. I don’t see a problem with having a cost for experimentation necessarily.

I’ll say that this makes it hard to play other characters though.

Dear lord people. And honestly, tooltip fixes were something people were complaining about and that focusing on living story while ignoring the game actually working was a bad thing.

So yes! Thanks for the fixes. :] I was just complaining about them. I care that the game actually works properly.

And culling fixes too. Come on, that’s far better than more Logan fawning over the queen right?

This feature adds nothing of value to the game, and it’s absurd to try and justify it. It’s inconsistent with every other previous tier of the game. The only thing it does is screw unwary players over. Had I not read threads like this, I would have gotten screwed eventually.

Considering the marginal differences between the infusions, it makes absolutely no sense to make it so complex.

And no, i should not have to dive through the wiki when playing the game. That just shows how bad the in-game info is, and of course a lot of the tooltips LIE to the player. Why should I have to dive through all of that when it’s clear the game designers don’t even put any effort in telling you about how the game works?

BTW, fix the Strength in Numbers icon already.

Took about one-and-a-half seconds to look up, ( if that ) from in-game. There’s a reason why every detail is not on an item; because it can’t possibly fit in their little info box. Thus, the Official GW2 Wiki, and the reason why a player can use an in-game command to get to it prior to doing something like, spending Laurels.

If anything, think of it as an extensive instruction manual combined with a strategy guide that’s free for the taking. If you want to charge blindly into something, by all means, go for it. Just don’t get offended when people laugh at your stupidity when you make a thread on the forums complaining about your ignorance.

Thank you for ignoring my post. You should take your own advice into charging blindly into things.

You have posted a workaround to a terrible game mechanic, and of course the fact that not even the in game info is inaccurate.

Stupidity might be user error, but it’s often a two way street.

I’ll bite; how did I “ignore” your post? I didn’t bold the entirety, as the rest of the matter was irrelevant to what I wanted to comment on. That, is in no way “ignoring” your post. I could personally careless about the other QQ’s in it, just wanted to focus on one of them though.

You see it as a workaround, I see it as an excellent source of information that’s relatively up-to-date, and gives people additional information that couldn’t be explained in the game due to whatever limitations there are.

You bolded, but you didn’t read.

My point was that it’s a poor mechanic that brings nothing but trouble. That’s why I pointed out it adds little, is contradictory to previously established game mechanics. In the end, it is a bigger con then pro.

And pray tell, I believe strongly that there would be no disadvantage in removing it. At least the complaints would go down. My disappointment is in that people defending it just talk about workarounds without any logical or meaningful attempt to justify its existence.

So you here, offer advice on getting around this mechanic. That’s fine and all, but it doesn’t address my issue. It’s somewhat useful before the fact.

That’s not good. If say, there was a mechanic that causes you take more damage at 2:57 in the morning— would it be justified if it was stated in the wiki? Sure, you may think that statement is absurd, but you would be thinking that it’s a mechanic that has no value to be added except to add some arbitrary problems to the game.

To me, this whole unique situation is marginally less of a bad design.

Add in the fact that the game itself has erroneous information and then you get a situation where you can’t even trust the designers with their own game.

It’s the type of answer that makes Microsoft Support seem useful by comparison.

What you are doing is shifting all the blame on the player. Is the player blameless for doing this? No.You should always be careful when making a big purchase. But certainly part of this has to be on the other end too. Responsibility is frequently a two way street— both sides need to work together.

I didn’t make this mistake, but on the other hand I don’t think it’s proper to laugh at people’s misfortunes for that as I feel that the responsibility of this situation is both shared. And getting rid of it or at least providing a tooltip would hurt no one, and prevent cases like this in the future. I think everyone benefits in the long run?

By that logic, any area of the game that has a reward is entrapment. Fractals to me would clearly be that. I can’t get an ascended zerker backpiece without doing that and I wouldn’t do them normally. This also applies to agony resist too.

That’s nobody’s fault but your own. It’s not like the difficulty wasn’t evident after a few tries.

I’m afraid you shouldn’t use such dramatic terminology when it comes to these things, considering the term is generally used concerning illegal activity. Yes, you can of course link to an online dictionary and show alternate definitions, but it’s clearly not the same thing.

Cut down on the melodrama, and your case will be heard more accordingly.

Isn’t it? If you believe otherwise, I could point you to countless threads of spiteful folks ranting on mapping requirements in World vs World. In those cases though I do to extent see Anet’s methodology. It’s a draw to that particular content, a lure, if you will. I do not by any means recall however getting any special loot for map completion of WvW beyond the usual rewards. There was no golden egg involved with that particular gander.

So? It’s still your choice to take the lure. We are not skinner rats.

And as for World vs World, there are far more factors out of one’s control. The gauntlet is the same for everyone.

And yes, I’m well aware of the nature of the word. It was top of my mind vocabulary for a reason. It does however not only apply to the legal system. Anything suitably matching that criteria could be labeled thus. It just happens to be one of those “big scary” type of words.

They’re useful for pushing responsibility away from yourself, I’d say.

As for how my case is heard, that’s entirely out of my hands. It’s utterly impossible to gloss and glitter a complaint to the point that it simply tickles the lobes of everyone’s ear. It’s a judgement from an individual, based upon an observation by an individual, that is subjective to that individual. Though one by no means unshared. I’m hardly alone in this, or was more rather. I got mine. Though not by the same means you did. In my case, it was through fair exchange. Through forged opportunity, salvaged from the ashes of personal failure. Mutual bonds forged, mutual gains assured. My rewards far exceed the mini alone.

Tomorrow I shall find me precisely where I was today. Sitting outside the Asuran dome of either my respective server or the overflow. Lending a hand that was not offered to me, through team-chat target assist and rezzing those less fortunate than myself. At least for a few hours. It’s the least I can do, having known that particular toil longer than most. I scoff at the audacity of your, “If you can’t meet those requirements, too bad.” … Six days… 240+ attempts.

Of course your case matters. Arenanet sometimes does listen to its users, but having a stronger point makes you more likely to be considered.

I don’t know. It seems too melodramatic for a fluff item in a video game.

Not to mention we’re dealing with virtual currency anyways. So in any case, bringing up loss of farming time and thus loss gold doesn’t really make me care.

I’d really have more respect for people to just say “Well, I don’t care about helping people; I don’t owe them crap— what have they done to deserve my help?”. At least that’s more honest and not trying to overinflate one’s own importance, plus it’s a right to behave as such. That to me is more logical than showing me graphs of projected gains and losses.

Liadri alienates a lot of gw2 players

I say, give easy mode and hard mode.

Easy mode: Liadri has 75% less HP, does 75% less damage, and does not have a cripple skill. No rifts spawn and once phase 2 starts, the aoe 1shot kills stop. Remove all 1 shot kills.

Hard mode: The way it is now.

Rewards for easy mode: both achievements and the miniature
Rewards for hard mode: botch achievements, the miniature and 10gold

EDIT: oh, and people don’t spawn DEAD outside the dome on the catwalk. We spawn alive and well.

Translation:

“Give me a free mini.”

Swap the rewards and I’ll support it. Easymode and hardmode both get 10g, while hardmode only gives the mini.

The whole point of the mini is for the hardmode players to have some form of representation that they are indeed hardmode. There is currently no other means ingame (Sorry legendary users, I respect you but have no proof of skill).

Not true. Let’s be honest, how many times have you sent your minion to the bank? I’ve sent mine countless times when depositing all simply because you cannot lock them. On the other hand after completing the event I wouldn’t mind if they nerfed the content to make it easier because guess what? It doesn’t make my prize any worse than someone else. I would still know that I acquired my mini the HARD way and overall it did not make me look toward future content since I know the moment they add liandri 2.0 I’m deleting gw2.

It doesn’t matter /what/ it is, I worked for the prize I was given. If they suddenly made it much easier, I will be kitten ed regardless of what the reward was because now my reward was in vein. I could have waited and gotten it easier.

Lol, so in other words it’s an entitlement thing? Personally, I’ve tried 150+ times before achieving it and I would not feel cheated by the prize simply because personally I know I worked harder to get mine, and I don’t have to shove it in other people’s faces that I’m more ’’pro’’ than them.

Do you not know what an achievement is?

indeed an objective accomplished through either skill or perseverance. HOWEVER, they should just give the dang mini to people with 150-200+ tries, that’s some serious perseverance.

So you know what it is, you just don’t understand it.

-[edit]-

No, they shouldn’t just give it to people who try so many times. I could start up the fight then just afk and voila. No perseverance or anything.

Do you know what entrapment is? It’s inducing a person commit an act that the person would otherwise have been unlikely to perform. Putting a mini at the end of Gauntlet did just that. I’d not have bothered for 237 attempts otherwise. Spending the 18.5 initial gold, plus the $10 actual money to sell the gems for even more tickets, repairs, waypoints fees, etc. All in all w’ere talking about around $20 USD after all is said and done in actual ingame gold equivalent expense. Again, as stated had it not been a mini, I’d not have bothered.

By that logic, any area of the game that has a reward is entrapment. Fractals to me would clearly be that. I can’t get an ascended zerker backpiece without doing that and I wouldn’t do them normally. This also applies to agony resist too.

The main problem about people’s potential profits is that it reminds me of the RIAA suing kids for “potential losses” due to theft of intellectual property. In other words, that potential gain is pretty much as high as one says it is.

The other thing is that we can’t really judge priorities by who’s worth more.

But in the end, you don’t have to revive people. I would much prefer the NPCs did it.

100% map completion not going to happen.

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

ArchonWing.9480

So there is a certain point of validity for wvwers that don’t want to do pve vs pve that don’t want to do wvw. Of course, I have no idea why a wvw’er wants to put a “kill me” sign like that, but I digress!

The difference is that pve content does not fluctuate in difficulty aside from some events. There’s always a certain amount of veterans of certain strength or whatnot guarding skill points. There isn’t suddenly going to be 50 enemies and especially not other people that are going to stop you.

Basically, you can complete pve maps at any time, given that you have a certain amount of skill and knowledge. Even if you can’t solo the content, you can guest on another server for free. You can’t do that in wvw without paying out gold. In WvW, being able to reach a location in most cases is somewhat out of your control.

Note that the “Gift of Battle” (500 badges) never attracted the same kind of issues and it wasn’t until recently you could get mass badges outside of WvW. Why? Well, it’s inherently a wvw thing.

I’d also like to context the exploration part. First off, it’s in the mists and you don’t actually explore anything. The map is already revealed to you, and we don’t have to explore pvp either. And it’s pretty ludicrous to think people don’t go into wvw to fight other players.

My point is that when a wvw’er doesn’t want to pve, it’s by choice that they don’t get that content. They can do it at any time. If pve content isn’t open, they can guest for free. When a pve’er doesn’t want to wvw, it’s possible to be out of their grasp even if they do it. No amount of skill is going to let you invade keeps when you’re massively outnumbered. Moving server costs quite a bit.

It could also be argued that the legendary hunt is optional, and isn’t about things under your control but just luck and grinding. If that’s what they want it to be, then so be it.

WvW is a large part of the game, refusing to take part in it, at all, is your choice, and you’re not punished for it, but you’re not rewarded either.

But that’s just it, players who just want 100% world completion are not contributing. They don’t want to be in WvW at all. They are just taking up space in WvW.

Ah… But are they? Lets say a small squad spots them and gives chase, they run of course, the time they’re being chased, is time that that particular group or player isn’t taking a supply camp, or killing reinforcements trying to reach a keep.

Lets say they spot for fellow player trying to solo cap a supply camp and they help, and why not? It’s free exp and karma right? And they’re contributing.

The point is, whether they want to or not, whether they’re helping take a camp, defend a keep, or just fodder for the wolves, they’ll assist in some small way most likely.

And if they manage to avoid all that? Well, I promise you, there are plenty of other useless people in WvW, so no hard feelings.

I agree with you in theory, but sometimes useless people are worse than useless, thanks to the way how rallying works. I really don’t want to fight alongside people who don’t want to be there and will just serve to be rally bait as they are most likely wearing their DPS DPS kitten kitten Zerker stuff in here as well.

Personally, I spend most of gw2 in wvw, and will eventually complete the map. But that’s only because I want to be there. I really don’t want a bunch of pvers who don’t want to be there around— it’s the same reason that JP in wvw is just as silly too. In the end, I’m a strong supporter of taking pve out of wvw. Of course, there should still be stuff like gathering, mercenaries, and events, but those things were meant for wvw’ers to get stuff that they’d normally have to pve for or add some tactics to each map. Didn’t anyone notice there’s 3 dailies meant for wvw every day so we don’t have to go out and do too much boring pve? And yes, I really don’t like it when I do have to go out back to pve. I can only imagine the same for pve only folks.

Not that I would bother with a legendary atm and the rng lotto but…

Am I really seeing L2p in this thread? LOL, the arrogance is hilarious, most likely from a t1 zombie that thinks they are so good because they can follow a zerg around and press 1 and most likely can’t cap anything without 20. Yea, I’d like to teach my server to l2p too. Oh, spend a ton to transfer to a server that can pvdoor all day? Or hope you change color? Video of y’all solo capping the garrison plz.

That’s just funny. Yes, let’s all just bandwagon on the biggest servers and abandon the smaller ones. Forget a sense of community or any silly stuff like that. That way, the people that are actually into wvw can enjoy their 4 hour long queues, skills that don’t react until 5 seconds later, and complain that arrow carts are too overpowered, you get blowouts every two weeks, and then wvw has no depth and is just blobbing and culling.

You get what you deserve. Next time you complain about being overrun by a giant zerg karma training through your borderlands, keep in mind a lot are most likely seeking map completion. And they really should trample your corpse for your arrogance.

But fortunately, the colors change more often now.

I find it pretty silly to claim this is bad for everyone, considering the “wealth” was concentrated heavily at the top and the “casual” had stuff that was out of their reach anyways.

I find it more likely that the flippers on the TP are getting antsy that they might lose hold of their monopolies and also lose their ability to keep everyone down. I’m not falling for that, lol.

Who would complain about more drops from playing the game? Obviously the people who don’t play the game. (flippers). They wouldn’t want people finding their own stuff.

I am impressed with this update. There are numerous flaws in the execution such as the queues in the gauntlet and having to revive people, as well as the champion loot seemingly rewarding failing events, but it’s a start. Once they iron out the finer details, they addressed the problems of the game being too easy and champions being worth killing. However, they need to tie in with event success, such as say, having severe DR on events that go on for too long.

I never felt compelled to do anything. The idea of challenge, without really missing out on things if you can’t do it shows a good understanding of catering to everyone. If you don’t like the gauntlet, you can go down there for some faceroll stuff.

Currency wallet goes without saying… a clear attempt at listening to players.

Finally, I enjoyed the Beacon of Kryta achievement. It was quick but pretty fun to try and figure out.

Overall, this was not without its flaws. But it’s a step in the right direction.

Honestly, I find this more worthy of complaint than the gauntlet. RNG achievements are not as cool. It’s the same reason I’ll never do the precursor roulette.

At least for that people can say to me “Well, you suck, get better, and you can do it”. For this, it’s just simply a matter of luck and a time sink.

Though thankfully they might have forsaw something like this and allowed you to do dailies to get the meta.

Because it’s a game? Also, PvP players have no use for gold. WvW has minimal use for gold. PvE content needs very little gold to function too.

I’m sorry. No matter how much gold you collect, you don’t “win” at the game. Gold allows you to purchase various goods and skins, but that’s all its for. When you realize most of the good stuff in the future will most likely be time gated, I hope you realize how silly you are for wasting all the time being so concerned with a virtual currency.

Farming Dead-Eye an exploit?

in Queen's Jubilee

Posted by: ArchonWing.9480

ArchonWing.9480

“Exploit”

The favorite word of the scrub.

Actually, that’s not true. However, if you can only label it with a negative connotation or something that goes against your own, arbitary rule, you are most certainly a scrub that probably cries when someone throws you 5x in a fighting game.

Stop trying to divine the developer’s intention and making up your own rules. You have no idea what they think, and if they think it’s appropriate, they’ll fix it or release an official word. And they already tried addressing the problem. If it was clearly a matter that was so severe, they would have already introduced DR or shut it down. And if they haven’t, then you can’t blame the players for taking advantage of bad game design.

It’s not an exploit at all, even as admitted by ArenaNet. In their pre-edited patch notes, they stated that they made Deadeye harder to “reduce farming efficiency.” Nothing about fixing an exploit… or else they would have fixed it a long time ago.

And indeed, I only care about what Arenanet says.

That would be the sensible thing to do, but…

Brood War was an interesting example, since it was heralded as the most balanced game ever for many years even though it wasn’t. Regardless, it had blossomed into a very complex metagame because it was allowed to grow on its own. Strats that you thought were impossible 5 years ago are suddenly “standard”. It’s amazing what you can discover over years of refinement. Constant meddling in this stunts metagame development, and leads to stagnation. On the other hand, through enough testing, it can be proven that some elements do need to be changed. However, in most sane scenarios, this is never 1-2 months. You can’t just change it that fast.

Which is why its sequel, Starcraft II, kinda got shafted by the constant meddling to achieve a certain amount of balance. Still, it’s not heading a bad direction because Blizzard is smart and doesn’t listen to the terribad noob QQ’ers looking for easy wins and only pays attention to the big picture, as well as high level play. The other thing is that their changes tend to be more subtle and “wait and see” things that usually won’t affect average players. They did take the sledgehammer approach with Diablo 3, and that game ended up quite bad. I’m afraid, A-net tends to go towards the later.

Essentially, one can never balance a good game around average players, since average players are bad, overestimate their own skill, and lack the vision to approach things from a different perspective. Indeed, when you hear people describing things in black and white terms and ends up with the inevitable conclusion they are disenfranchised, everyone would be best off not listening.

Axe/focus. Both alone are clunky, telegraphed weapons that tend to be very annoying to use in any challenging fight. However, with minions to block your enemies, they become much more manageable.

Axe is very good because MM have to invest in spite tree, so take 10 more for axe training and stack vul/axe skills while minions tank for you.

Offhand, focus is strong, since regen on your minions can be helpful.

http://gw2skills.net/editor/?fQAQNBIhZakRrSvTTcjePBMzw7xjPMM1D4X/cA-jwxAYLBRyCARAMBWEN2KZR0Y11YKXioaA-e

Probably best to get a soldier/knight set for wvw if I have the gold to spare.

This build can be used as ranged support, but it usually has the tools for small group play, namely the dagger immobilize and the warhorn daze. With rune of the pack, warhorn, and spectral walk, my necromancer is really good at running away from angry zergs if needed and mobility if you’re not in a zerg is critical. This has 2 stunbreaks, DS stability, and if you want, add in plague form. That is to avoid the ping pong effect most necromancers experience against other players when running around outside a zerg.

The main thing is that it mostly exploits the fact that life force is pretty easy to gain in wvw and for the most part, spamming f1 for stability and fury every 10 seconds is not a bad idea at all. I do not spend much time autoattacking at all— they’re really just excuses to build up LF if anything.

P/P/C or P/T/V for MM?

in Necromancer

Posted by: ArchonWing.9480

In PvE, I’d say zerker. Your minions will be absorbing some of the hits, so in most situations you don’t need too much survivability. If you are worried, you can always do 20/0/30/20/0, but 30/0/30/10/0 (Minion Mastery, Greater Marks, and Flesh of the Master in DM) is really solid too when you use axe/staff combo. Stacking vulnerability will cause minions to do quite a number. Having minions potentially take hits for you reduces axe’s main weakness— the long as crap windup times.

Knight and Valkyrie (yes they exist) are good enough to be used in both modes.

Minionmancer isn’t so hot in wvw though it should be noted that they can be quite annoying in small fights, and the fact that aoe can only hit 5 targets deserves mention. (This means. for every minion that gets hit, a ally of yours may not get hit). Still it shouldn’t be too hard to swap traits and skills though.

Of course, my necro is not my main so I never felt like putting down gold for pvt/valk gear in wvw until about now. She uses… berserker gear so I’m not exactly the type to go to when it comes to talking about survivability. Though honestly, I don’t really go down that much. Well, it’s ok when she stays in the back. :p

Don’t you people know? There are only ever two states on the Internet!
Good and Bad.
There are no states in between!

I’ve beaten Dark Souls & Demon’s Souls.
My Demon’s Souls character is on a fourth NG+.

I haven’t beaten Liadri.

And yet apparently, if I criticise the design of this fight at all, it’s because I’m a bad gamer and I’m acting “entitled”.

First off, those saying it just comes down to pattern recognition are lying.
It also depends very heavily on build, gear and even profession. I now know I am going to beat her as I’ve realised a bombkit engineer will make the fight almost ridiculously simple.

Secondly, I really need to quote Inigo Montoya at those who throw the word “Entitled” around in such a carefree manner:
You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

The Internet and marketing has corrupted the meaning of the word. What they REALLY mean to say is “Spoiled”.

The Internet corruption has resulted in it being entirely associated with negative connotations, when in fact, the word has lots of positive associations, particularly when used to describe something a customer has purchased.
If you pay for your Internet connection, you are entitled to receive the Internet. This is not a bad thing.

The continued corruption of the word over the course of time can lead to abuse of the customer, where if they believe that entitlement in general is a bad thing, they will let companies ride roughshod over them.

Don’t use “Entitled”.
Use “Spoiled”.
Of course, if you then read your sentence back to yourself and realise it’s somewhat confrontational to use the word “Spoiled”, well maybe it’ll make you pause and consider how much empathy you are or are not showing.

Not too bad. I do believe we are entitled to certain things, such as bugs being fixed or being able to play because we bought the game. Thus it is fair to suggest that this thread had a particular use of this political buzzword.

The problem here is when people feel that they are entitled to things that they aren’t, which well, let’s use the word spoiled for a moment.

In either case, a player being bad or good has no bearing on how spoiled they are. This much is true. Let’s also consider “good” being “good” at Queen’s Gauntlet. It’s possible to be good at some areas and terrible at other areas too.

The thing is that a good player that has a bad attitude (spoiled) is that they can back their words up with proof. In other words, even though they have a bad approach, it doesn’t matter, because they are able to get around what was bothering them in the first place. In other words, they can rely on themselves to get what they want.

A bad player that has a bad attitude, on the other hand, cannot back it up, and only has excuses to make. They cannot overcome this obstacle (unless they cry loudly enough and tell A-net to nerf it).

In reality, both types should be ignored, but the ones with skill are able to get along without the approval of others and able to overcome something thus deserving of the reward, while the ones without skill have nothing to fall back on and thus don’t deserve anything.

It is certainly fine to criticize the mechanics of the fights, but at least a modest analysis of the situation should be needed— it may or may not be a L2P issue, but a lot of people aren’t honest enough to rule out user error.

Wow, really.

If it was impossible to win the gauntlet on a class, I’d see a manner of debate, but it doesn’t seem that way.

I find it funny that people accuse gw2 of being boring and lacking of content, but once the content actually gets challenging, they throw a fit. It’s nothing I don’t expect; honestly there should just be a lever you pull and the game will tell you how awesome you are. (And there would still be complaints that some people get to pull it more).

I’m sorry. It’s a game. There is success and failure. The game is generous to not really penalize you for failure, but you’re not supposed to beat the game by default. I’m seriously concerned if some of the complaints are seriously. God forbid you pick up an older game that hands you a “game over” screen; one that says “Yea, you screwed up and failed, try again”. Does it really make you less of a person for not being able to do some task in a video game? Pro tip: It does not. Stop pretending missing out on achievement somehow makes you less of a gamer, or a person.

Point is, it’s one thing to not be skilled at something. We’re all bad at something. It’s another thing to say something can’t be done, just because YOU can’t do it, while blissfully ignoring everything to the contrary. That’s still okay. But the world I’m afraid, doesn’t revolve around you. Just please self reflect on it. When you say “This is bad for us”, did you mean “this is bad for me”. At least have the guts to say it when you complain and speak for yourself. But you’re probably bad at complaining too, since that kind of attitude aspires for mediocrity.

P.S. I won’t finish the gauntlet, don’t really enjoy the mechanics, and most likely won’t aim for it. I’ll just have to like, live with it.

If you want it, you’ll try for it. If you think it’s stupid, broken, and imbalanced, then the activity itself has no value and there is also no point in complaining about it.

Sometimes there has to be a loser. I’m afraid it has to be you this time. Accept it with grace and regroup. Also, this thing’s been out like a week?

Clearly you aren’t reading most of the complaint threads then. Very few of them are actually talking about how difficult the fight is and have more to do with the harsh punishment failing a fight brings with it and the outright poorly designed arena.

Of course. Why would I waste my time on most of them?

My post is within the context of this thread. If it was simply an issue of the walk being too far then the OP would have made absolutely no sense.

Also, harsh punishment? (lol repair cost+ wp fee + time spent running back+ticket) when it’s no more severe then any other death really. And yes, the inconvenience made me not want to bother, but such hyperbole is what annoys me more than anything else.

Or it could be that she knows that the heroes that saved Tyria aren’t really heroes but actually bloodthirsty mercenaries that know nothing but greed and wealth, and since they were the ones with the power to defeat the dragon, she must appease them with things that would satiate their sick desires, lest they start whining about the lack of an “endgame” thanks to their endless hunger for wealth, violence, and challenge.
