I’m alright with that. I’d rather the feedback exist, even if in hindsight it’s irrelevant, rather than it never be made because details to fully support it weren’t around. Think of it as a contingency plan for feedback.

Guild Halls are coming, raids are called runs, and they’ll be no capes. At least for now.

Take that with a grain of salt. Last time I quoted a bunch of developers, they turned around and did the opposite of what they said they weren’t doing.

It was added to the game almost a year ago, shortly before the game came out in China. Apparently it was a pre-order or special edition item there, but it has never been available in the west.
It would be amazing if it was made available, but so far it seems unlikely.

To be honest, every time I’ve seen something like this added to an MMO, it burns hot for about a month. And then, it turns into a wasteland of emptiness after. Once the PvPers get their griefing on against PvEers, the PvEers move elsewhere quick.
Then the PvPers turn their attention on each other. And then even they get bored and return to their usual hunting grounds . . . if any population is left.
Rifts, Aion, DAoC with certain servers, etc.
At least, that’s always been my experience when a free-for-all happens in an open world.
The new icons on the map don’t give enough of a clue? Maybe ask /map? Not to be snarky, but seems like a silly thing to complain about given that all past seasonal events occur in Divinity’s Reach or Lion’s Arch. Also, they tend to be in the same location . . . every time.
Keep in mind, the majority of players have now earned their luminous armor and achievements for that zone. So . . . yes, you’ll see something of a decrease in population . . . outside those still farming the gear for gold.
The dragon ball game is dreadfully dull and unrewarding. The 2 games I played were completely unbalanced, being far behind when I joined with hardly any players on my side and no chance to win at all. Seeing that I needed no more than 2 completed matches to qualify for the festival daily, I’ll leave it at 2 for today.
Maybe I’ll play 2 on some other days, if I can be bothered, and if I happen to win 10 before the festival is over, well, I can’t even muster the tiniest bit of enthusiasm over the prospect.
This pretty much covered my opinion as well. Did the same thing. Two games for the daily and done. Really don’t care to get the ‘activities’ achievements, which look like grinding hell, either.

Do you really break even that consistently? I don’t need help getting essences of luck, I have the backpiece… Are you looking at a consistent net gain, or a consistent net loss? (Even if it’s only minor, say, measured in silver).
Yes, you do. The real cost is 11 silver and some change since you always get the golden ram junk item. You’ll actually make money if you sell the food items. Especially the rarer ones on the TP. But don’t expect that to stay once these items flood the market. If you’re lucky, and get the ornamental one you’ll gain 8 gold to boot.
Again, definitely worth it if you haven’t maxed luck, need luck for artificer, or haven’t earned the new backpacks.

Well, I managed to get through two or three matches before I got tired of it. I’ll do it if it’s part of the three easiest dailies, but otherwise I’ll pass.
Yes, it’s worth getting. You almost regain all your gold spent when you sell the junk. On occasion, you’ll also get some nice food and the like you can also sell on the trading post for a pretty penny.
Well going by Anets MO for releasing information, when they made the announcment I am sure they were already well into the beta testing phase. They’ve been saying for quite a long time that they were working on “something big” in the background. So another 6 months of beta testing and polishing doesn’t seem that unreasonable.
Hope you’re right. Hate to see the flames if this thing gets released clunky.
If that’s accurate, as far as speculation, it makes me nervous as hell. Have they even beta tested it yet? I understand the natives are restless as far as getting the product, but is six months enough time to work out and polish all the kinks? Again, how much content are we talking?
You’d be surprised how much as changed from then to now. Even within the last year. It would nice to see dye drops return. And certain core quests. And those traiting abilities for your ranger pet. And champs to the low-level zones. And . . . well . . . you get the idea.
I’m going to guess no. Being specialized, only in the Deep Jungle, wouldn’t make any sense as far as progression. If you can complete new masteries in the core game, you should also be able to progress specialization in the core game.
That’s like saying a priest is only a priest in the church, but at night he roams the streets as a superhero hooker.
While charming, it wouldn’t go over well either. And I sincerely hope specialization of any class isn’t restricted to the jungle.
I’ll wait to see it in practice before I offer any further comment. But, if it’s anything like Aion’s attempt at gliding and flying, expect the boards to light up like a Christmas tree of complaints when this goes live.
Who says QD is good? Who says Orr is bad? Who even know what HoT will be like? Perhaps you should open your mind and consider that, as was basically quoted, you will see a theme on the map but various little things going on. Meaning you can expect QD like stuff and Orr/Silverwaste like stuff. Plenty going on, not all mordrem minions. Pretty dense to assume otherwise.
As well I can’t understand you complainers about ‘rushed’ ‘not enough’ or the endless moaning that continue on these forums with only the basic info given to us. You are extrapolating and assuming things that may or may not be.
Before the nerf to the champions, Queensdale was the busiest area outside of Lion’s Arch. And before they toned down the amount of mobs (all Risen toned down) in the zone, Orr was the most devoid of players outside of mapping and personal story.
Others, on this thread, have already said as much.
Using your logic, Trock, you are also speculating. That’s kind of the point of this thread. Outside of a few shots, we have no idea how the mobs will be spread out. Will the majority be Mordy’s minions? Probably. And, to use your own words, it would be dense to assume otherwise.

as we all remember the part with the bandits in silverwastes, u take a buff and you apear hostile to players(they can atk you but you cant attack back)

There was a bug where, if you paid the bandit woman to enter the area, it made all the bandits friendly to you. However . . . if you left that area, it made you red to all the players.
I guess I’m not a ranger. I mean, I’ve Lightning Reflex’d off a cliff to a smaller cliff under it then gotten massacred by AoEs . . . but never done weapon skills off a cliff.
It helps I tend towards longbow/shortbow/axe&whatever . . .
(laugh) So you never dodged leaped, with a shortbow, off a cliff?
Undecided. Since I’m more reliant on my pet than my bow, I’m not sure increasing any combat skill will do me much good . . . unless it includes my pet.
