Just request to talk (i.e., communicate/write) with a superior from the support staff. That usually get things done in such a case.

Since you still have the GW1 CD key, that should help. Also, the e-mail you use to log into GW1 is the same as the one you use for GW2 (has to be, when the accounts became linked) — so try that one.

P.S. For the future, always type keys from physical copies down in a file on your PC as well, that way you will avoid another such incident.

That wasn’t my point. Apart from functionality issues, it also looks cheap and sexist to me (like all the bare skin most female armor sets sport, as opposed to their male counterpart).

High heels on each set of clothing and armor for female characters are the foremost reason I didn’t start playing Black Desert (and then there’s the barbie doll faces, too).

This 100%. Coming from a time when video games consisted of three lives and one for every fifty thousand points thereafter, I read a lot of books. Really good books. Most story in games is written by people who are not writers, or by people who pretend to be, but don’t really have a good grounding in the art. Guild Wars 2 is no exception. Some games, notably the Witcher series (as mentioned), have exquisitely crafted lore and story, MMOs tend not to fall into this category for a variety of reasons, none of which really dispell the notion that writers for MMOs tend to be drawn from the B-list pool of talent.

All this is to say, that Guild War’s story and lore is just about the most cliched tripe one could ever come across. You’re almost always better off entirely skipping lines of dialog so that you don’t hurt your brain.

Incidentally, when I was playing the PoF demo and Taimi’s irritating, high pitched voice came over my “comms”, my heart sank so low that I thought I had a hernia.

Animated armor skins, in any preview (equipment window, wardrobe storage preview), always display, even when deactivated.

See Nightfury shoulder skin and Bloodstone Visage headgear.

Also, the preview is bugged, with the animation overlapping multiple times.

Yes, that has been a recurring issue for the past year or so, see lighting tower in Lion’s Arch.

The “solution” is to not jump off the ledge (as that somehow counts as if you had activated your glider) but to just walk off and use the WASD keys to navigate in the air.

Most likely for a limited amount of time.

I’ve read that certain new graphic cards were causing issues in GW2 (not compatible?). Wasn’t there a thread on this recently?

Also, it can’t hurt to unpark all CPU cores for this game.

Mastery Points are always a one-time shot, i.e. cannot be collected repeatedly. To see which story steps/mission achievements provide points, check your Hero Panel’s story journal tab.

Look at the GW1 Eotn character select. That was some great character select. They didn’t carry weapons but you could view your heroes from different angles.

I agree with all of these points, except that I don’t want equipment in the CSS (unless it can be toggled on and off).

My favorite is the Mini Molten Firestorm, but pretty much everything included (either per drop or per tickets) is extremely nice to own.

That would be an additional amount of work I am not willing to undertake, because when I once reported players in that complicated manner (including screenshots and time stamps etc.) on a different matter (namely abuse of the kick function), support didn’t do anything about it (at least that’s what they basically told me in their response).

GW2 never needed any of the mechanics, either, that were mentioned above: ley-lines, mushrooms, wallows, lava catapults, oakheart essences, and what not.

IMO, gliding and riding a mount of your choice would have sufficed.

Now the game is cramped with too many travel mechanics, and now they came up with a dozen mounts with different functionalities, which you will all need to be able to play through 100% of PoF’s content, which is no better (and no different!) than the insanity of HoT and LWS3.

You see, mounts per se are not the problem…

Since there is a report option for character names, I would like to suggest to add one for pet names as well. Would that be possible?

During my years in GW2, I have come across plenty of offensive, super gross ones on several occasions — from vulgar expressions to kitten SS names, everything has been covered.

I know it would require a far more complicated mechanic than the character names, with tracking pet names etc., but I think it would make a great addition.

Many events required for collections have bugged out on people. Unfortunately, fixes always seem to be temporary (by resetting the map).

Yes, by sending only one ticket and waiting. Spamming support is contraproductive.

Also, bug reports are always forwarded, even when you don’t receive a response. If you believe this to be a technical issue on your end, not a bug, you must report it as such in order to receive a response.

By the way, I have been having a similar issue with the Zhaitan mission, where the ship’s platform and my character will zone in and out. This wasn’t there two years ago, so I assume it is an issue on Anet’s end.

I wish there was an on/off toggle feature for this, for both the Elementalist and the Revenant — especially since the latter’s colors are super ugly and don’t fit to any armor.

That is a pretty selfish way to look upon the problem. Just because you play this way doesn’t mean everybody else does.

I know enough people who do not do farm trains etc., because it’s repetitive, boring content (if you can call it that to begin with). For instance, I have a RL friend who is a casual player, for whom a silver coin does have value — and gold sinks make him play the game even less.

Don’t worry about it. You will get receive more than enough HPs in PoF to unlock the elite specs there, so there is no need to “farm” or “save” HPs and not unlock any of the previous profession content.

And what does that tell you? Correct: There is something awfully wrong with the whole concept of elite specializations.

The meta is as rigid as an iceberg, and with each addition of a new elite spec the only thing that is changing is the one build that is considered proper for your profession. There is no flexibility in the way Anet has designed the elite specilization mechanic — and unfortunately, I don’t see them changing it anytime soon.

I am most interested to learn what happened to the other gods, especially Kormir. And we heard stuff about fallen Abaddon that makes me extremely curious about what exactly has been going on in that crazy pantheon ever since they left the face of Tyria.

I had similar requests for the CSS (can’t find the thread):

• Anet should consider the option to add a toggle for the CSS so that everyone can choose which CSS theme they would like to use.
• If not, then at least make the lighting in the PoF CSS equally neutral to the one in the current HoT CSS, so that the coloring will display correctly.
• Also, please remove the two front layers in the PoF CSS that are covering the characters’ feet.

He said the blindfold had nothing to do with being blind, it was there to help him focus against all the voices in his head. Now he no longer needs it.

P.S. I, for once, never believed it meant Revenants were actually blind. I felt that it had something to do with focus, similar to the Ritualist in GW1, who was also communing and drawing their powers from the mists.

You are absolutely right. In fact, Anet should provide content guidance about a lot of things in this game that are not self-explanatory. These are the ones I use for my Elementalist, but they do not fit the description for “regular pants without butt capes etc.” It is really unnerving that you can’t get cool casual pants for women like many of the female NPCs across Tyria are wearing.
