Go to wayfarers foothills to the dredge mine in the north west area. There are turrets that put red circles on the ground. Wait till you see the red circle then dodge out of it.
Tengu. Almost there already with a city behind a wall.
Dwarves. Maybe a hidden city of dwarves could be discovered. There were bound to be some that didn’t want to fight the destroyers or just were further away. For example, immigrated to Cantha sometime in the past and no one knew about them because they were underground and secretive.
Skritt. The Asura have been testing their intelligence and one of the Asura developed a device that lets them connect with the hive mind from anywhere.

What I would like to see.
Costumes like Guild Wars 1 had them. Wearable over your armor, in combat and stored by an NPC.
Dances, specifically the ones from Guild Wars 1. My necro wants The Thriller dance. :-)
More armor skins. For the female characters, the armor for most classes runs the gamut from A to B. An endless series of long skirts and butcapes, leavened by the occasional stripper outfit.
While you are waiting for the Devs to install that feature, ^^ you can visit your bank/guild storage/trading post by going to your home area in WvW. To leave and get back to where you were you either go to the character selection screen or go to the Mists then leave the Mists. I use this all the time to deposit stuff in my bank while out playing.
May not work of course with servers with long waits to get in or if you are losing and your area is overrun. But might be worth looking into.

Seriously, do people actually give money to in game beggars? It’s not like its real life where people can actually need money because of bad luck or illness or whatever. If they don’t have money to buy geer for higher levels and they don’t want to go out in the big bad world, they can stick to the lower levels and hope for drops. It’s not like they will starve from lack of money.
No, he doesn’t hate you but he and I have been dating for some time and I don’t appreciate you trying to steal my boyfriend. So the answer is, I hate you and I told him not to talk to you or he is not getting lucky tonight. :P
I’ve had 2 people ask me for money. One for a few silver and one for 2 gold. I talked for a few minutes to both of them and found neither really knew how to farm or that you should sell stuff on the trading post rather than vendering to an NPC. So if people are asking for money, it may be laziness or they may very likely be ignorant about how to make money and could use a little advice. Try talking to them and see what they say rather than just brushing them off. (Yeah, the first guy, after I spoke to him, I got the impression he was lazy but the second guy was truly clueless on what to do).
I use up a lot of karma buying cultural weapons, a stack of spy kits for each alt, and fine and basic salvage kits (you can get fine salvage kits from some of the cultural weapons dealers, like the Charr). After I have gotten all the high priced weapons I want I plan to blow my excess karma on the jewelry boxes. I already have the exotics and I don’t want to do the Mystic Toilet for a precursor so what else is there to use it on?
(@At Nozdrm.2894 This is not true. They stated that there will be grind for items that are as good as any other item but look better. Dont have the sic right now. Maybe someone can help me out here.)
The “no grind” comment from what I could find seems to refer to COMBAT only. People take the no grind to refer to the game as a whole. But if you read his statement, that’s not what he said.
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/ArenaNet's_MMO_Manifesto_trailer
Colin Johanson: “When you look at the art in our game, you say ‘Wow, that’s visually stunning. I’ve never seen anything like that before,’ and then when you play the combat in our game, you say ‘Wow, that’s incredible. I’ve never seen anything like that.’ In most games, you go out, and you have really fun tasks, occasionally, that you get to do, and the rest of the game is this boring grind to get to the fun stuff. ‘I swung a sword. I swung a sword again. Hey! I swung it again.’ That’s great. We just don’t want players to grind in Guild Wars 2. No one enjoys that. No one finds it fun. We want to change the way that people view combat.”
The key phrase here, right after saying that they don’t want people to grind is “We want to change the way that people view combat”.

Unfortunately the current lore disallows Dhuum. However the Mad King could be a possible Dhuum replacement. He could suddenly appear and strike the player dead. Or maybe he could follow the player from place to place, endlessly forcing him to play “Mad King Says” and if he misses one the account gets terminated.
Shrink potion, yes.
How about having the lowest level heart NPC in each area sell a shrink potion that last a set amount of minutes, say 10 or 15 minutes. That would be easy to find, acquire, and use.
Who knows. Because they had a real moneymaker with the system in Guild Wars 1 where you could wear the costume over your armor in combat and you didn’t have to store them in our inventory, an NPC held them for you.
They can’t argue that wearing costumes in combat will break immersion when they have people with bows that shoot unicorns with the arenanet logo on them.
The drops are really out of kilter. Stuff like cinnamon and walnuts that I rarely use, I have stacks of. I have less than 15 chili peppers. The prices are so crazy, it makes more sense to sell the peppers then use that money to buy the food you want off the trading post. Selling just one chili pepper will get you enough money for around 10 food items.
You just need to learn to role-play. Pretend all of your other clothing is in the laundry and all you have to wear is your stripper outfit from your “off hours job”. Or just learn to luv butt capes. ^^
But seriously, what is with it with this game? Starter mini skirt with garter belt? Endless butt capes? Ankle length dresses that are wide open in front? Outfits with ragged hems that look like you got them out of the dumpster? Some of these are nice, but it’s relentlessly the same styles over and over again with few variations. You look at the available styles and wonder, were they paid extra if they designed butt capes or ankle length dresses? Where are the classy, stylish outfits they had in Guild Wars 1? Where are the choices?
This has been requested before. The response given, iirc, is that it would take to much data space for all the Rangers to have names saved for all their pets. :/
It probably wouldn’t hurt to lower the number of rez’s. You aren’t going to normally get 10 player rez’s daily and getting that many NPC rez’s depends on your area and the events going on. Sometimes you will get lucky and have a bunch at once to rez and sometimes you have to hunt them down, one by one. This can lead to situations where you just stand around waiting for NPCs to die instead of playing or waypointing to known places of mass NPC death, like the Thaumanova Reactor in Metrica province.
Dodging is also a bit of a problem. I can play for a couple of hours on my Mesmer, being mobile and dodging/teleporting away, rarely dying or even losing health much and at the end of the time I only have a few dodges registered. Yesterday after a 2 hour play session I only had 9 dodges registered and I was constantly moving and dodging away when mobs got closer. If you play a ranged class and are mobile, the melee mobs may not be able to hit close enough that the game registers a dodge opportunity and the ranged mobs simply miss. Either that or the game isn’t registering dodges properly.

I demand that all walls, trees, rocks, buildings, cliffs and water be removed and replaced by a flat level featureless plain. These items get in the way when I am trying to kite something and are completely unacceptable. How are we expected to play and also be aware of our surroundings? On top of that, a rock ate my Mesmer once when she did a teleport skill. She was stuck inside the rock and had to pay several copper to waypoint out. ANet needs to refund me 60 copper for that.
i also want trash mobs to drop Legendary weapons. I’m fine with just one a week, I’m not greedy.

How about a hour each week, before the reset, in which the WvW zone is PvE only. The people who only want to explore can run around during that time and grab a few points then leave right at reset. They can work on it weekly and get exploration done. And the jumping puzzles should not give badges as a reward so people don’t abuse that. That way they don’t have to PvP and the PvPers don’t have to have them there not supporting their server.
It would be nice for my Charr character also. I went to a lot of trouble to pick out a fur pattern I like and it’s not even visible. All the armor covers it up completely. Having the option to hide chest armor would be a plus for the looks.
I like the reduced density of the mobs. It’s easier to move around without it being an unending fight and you can do events now without getting overwhelmed by having a bunch of regular mobs getting mixed in with the event mobs. There are still plenty of mobs around for farming purposes.
I’ve never even seen a chest, not even when I’m told there is one on the ground. Lag or rendering problem maybe?
Can someone tell me how big they are?
They are very small and brown. So in the dark Orr zones, you can barely see them.
Small and brown while containing better loot (or supposed to), who thought up this design? That is a problem with Orr, caves, the Charr areas and nighttime. They need to be brightly colored with sparkles.
Oops, sorry for adding anything at all to your rant. Please continue uninterrupted by others input. ^^
I don’t know about warrior so much but there are a fair number of guardians that use hammer. My guardian uses hammer and mace and there are a couple of hammer builds for them.
1) altruistic hammer build
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/professions/guardian/Guide-Hammer-and-Altruistic-Healing-gameplay
2) tanky hammer build
http://www.guildwars2guru.com/topic/78632-unselfikittenanky-hammer-build/
Guardians who want to give hammer a try should look into these builds.
I would like to know the reason why ANet doesn’t want people wearing costumes in combat. They can’t argue that it’s because of immersion. They made a shortbow that that has people shooting unicorns which have the ANet logo on their butts. How is someone wearing a costume immersion breaking and that is not?
Wearing costumes during combat added a lot of enjoyment to my playing Guild Wars 1. Having to wear the same armor day after day is boring. And I don’t want to switch another level 80 armor because 1) it costs money to buy the fine stones from the store each time. 2) I am already wearing the armor I like best 3) if I do switch, I lose the armor I already have and have to rebuy it to get it again so I can’t switch just for a short time to vary my looks. 4) with costumes you can wear in combat, it has all of the positives and none of the negatives.
So please, would an ANet employee give us a good, reasoned explanation why we can’t have this?
I’ve never even seen a chest, not even when I’m told there is one on the ground. Lag or rendering problem maybe?

This guy bought a kit and put it on video.
Guild Wars 2 – Crafting Starter Kits (Laurel Vendor) by SignsOfKelani

I go there pretty regular to farm barracudas for armored scale and a guild mate is trying to get enough Passion flowers for a piece a jewelry. Pretty much stuff like this is the typical reason people go there. To many hard mobs to do more than that.
The design of the racial skills, including the elites, is that they are for flavor and are weaker than regular skills.
“Eric Flannum: Each of the five races has unique skills available to them. Our philosophy behind the design of these racial skills is that they are slightly weaker than equivalent skills determined by profession. While they may be less powerful, the racial skills capture the flavor of each race and provide additional options for the player. For example, a human playing a profession that normally doesn’t have a good way of dealing with conditions could take the Prayer to Kormy racial skill, which removes a condition but is a fair bit weaker than comparable skills provided by a profession specializing in condition removal. By doing this, we hope to give the various races access to skills that make them feel unique without making them overpowered when played as a particular profession.”

If you want to know which dot is who, all you have to do is mouse over it. Most of the time party members are going to be close by anyway.
Or use Guild Wars 1 system.
1) they went on top of your regular armor so either the costume could show or the armor could.
2) you could wear the costume on top of your regular armor so you didn’t lose any stats in combat and you still had access to all of your regular combat skills.
3) could be set to auto toggle on or off when you entered a city or combat area. You could leave it and forget it.
4) ALL of your toons could all wear a costume at the same time, not one at a time.
5) an NPC holds your costumes for you so you didn’t have to keep them in your inventory . Want to wear your Mad King costume? Go to him and he gives it to you. Change your mind and want to wear a different one? He gives you the new one and the old one is removed from the costume slot.
The only advantage I have found with the Guild Wars 2 system is that it has saved me a lot of money. I bought every costume in Guild Wars 1 and none here. I loved being able to play wearing their fancy, beautiful, or funny costumes. I am not in town often enough to bother with getting Town Clothes, or to pay for an inferior product.
I’m enjoying the new dailies. Like others already said, find NPCs to revive or get the dodge requirement by finding a turret and getting out of the red circles. The first day I got the dodge before anything else by aggroing a champion. By the time he was dead, I got all my dodges in. And the requirement to kill veterans is good. Now people are killing them instead of ignoring them.
I suspect that adding dodge to requirements is to encourage it in the new and bad players. It’s a fairly painless way for them to learn the game combat system.
As for the crafting part, I don’t do any crafting and even that part is dead easy. Get green logs and make 10 green planks. Done. Not a big deal.
Agree. Orr is much improved. The mob density and strength make this a much more agreeable area to move around in. I was seeing a lot more people roaming around, rather than staying in one spot and I was doing events, which I had been avoiding before since it was so easy to get overwhelmed. It was actually enjoyable rather than frustrating.
I don’t think the risen giants count as giants, only as risen. I’ve killed several and not gained points from them.
Are you talking about the mystic coins? Mine are still in the rare crafting materials collection tab. Are you saying they are gone from there?
How about just increasing party size in the open world. Having only 5 party members can be a little restrictive if a number of guild members want to group up and work in a map together.
It would make it easier for the people around you to take advantage of combo fields if the skill was announced in local or party chat when the initiator was put down. Many people don’t know what other professions combo fields are or they don’t see them being put down and so miss them. Without this awareness, people can’t easily take advantage of these skills.
The more I am finding and using consumables I am finding in the game, the more clunky the way they are set up becomes. Besides foods/nourishment, there are spy kits, temporary pets, mortars of various types and medkits, just to name a few items.
http://dulfy.net/2013/01/16/gw2-useful-and-fun-consumables-guide/#4c
In order to use them you have to open up your inventory, find the item(s) then click on them, close inventory. Clunky. Having an option to place them in a slot on the screen or a keybind would be very useful.

One possible way to keep crafting viable even if ascended gear is through drops, is to make the ascended gear have a plain or undesirable appearance. People would then have to buy crafted, karma, or cultural gear for looks. It would mean gem store purchases tho so there would be complaints about that.
Right before she died, she yelled out in chat, wwwwwwwwwssssssdddddddddd then silence. :/
I really don’t know how we are expected to kill 1000 giants in this game. Are people supposed to camp a spawn point for a giant? I can just see hundreds of people camping a spot, waiting for a giant to spawn so they can try to kill it and finish getting the Slayer achievement. And doing it 900 plus times.
I bought the Peacemaker’s torch for 63k karma and it didn’t have a flame at all. I was disappointed and stuck it in my bank. :-( Reported it as a bug, hopefully it get fixed as I had high hopes of it being a really nice torch.
A guild mate and I are doing the same thing. So far I have 3 level 80s and she has 4. Working on the 4th and 5th ones now. I know other guild members are leveling more than one profession also, but I don’t know if they are planning to do more than the 5 allowed with original purchase.

Or maybe a wardrobe, as others have suggested. Has a slot for every armor/outfit/weapon skin in the game. When you get a skin, you unlock that slot. Use the wardrobe to switch between skins as you wish.
From the the Rules of Conduct:
You may not create character names or otherwise transmit, post, link to or facilitate the distribution of any sexually explicit, harmful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, infringing, obscene, hateful, vulgar, racially or ethnically offensive, invasive of personal privacy or publicity rights, or objectionable in a reasonable person’s view imagery or content.
Other people considered your name to be vulgar and that ANet agrees.
Vulgar
1. marked by lack of taste, culture, delicacy, manners, etc
Really tho, names like Phook Yu and fart joke names? When I see someone with a name like that I think, hmmmm must be a preteenager. If you want a silly name for a commander, just find one that’s not “vulgar”. Think of something clever rather than going for the cheap laughs.
Something like this should simply be folded into the new daily achievements with its tokens, rather than having another set of tokens to manage. Since we don’t know what sort of new dailies they will have, it’s possible this is already upcoming.
Usually I get one every 2 to 3 hours or so. I have been getting at least one almost every day.
Rebinding weapon skills only works for that weapon. When you switch weapons, it carries over to that one and messes up its keybinds.
At the very least, show friends. But having guild mates show up would be great. There have been times when we unexpectedly run into each other, we didn’t even know they were in the same area. Also, this would help with the limit of 5 grouping. Now if more than 5 want to do something in the map together, it’s too easy to get separated. If you take your eyes off them and they move off, you have no idea where they are. It’s difficult to get together again.
There is a problem with the Slayer achievement, and that is the Giant Slayer. I have maxed or made good progress in all except one and that is Giant Slayer. In that category I have only killed ONE giant, and you need 1000.
Apparently the risen giants and the giant trolls and the giant whatever else don’t count. Either they need to count, more giants needed to be added, or the number that you need to kill needs to be severely reduced. Otherwise the game is going to end up having hordes of people camping the few (one?) giant spawn point(s), killing him over and over in order to finish this achievement.
