Ah, the most common lie ever told: I have read and agree to the terms of service.
Yea and people forget that the little box they ticked means they agree to all those terms they never read and then kitten and moan when they get banned for violating those terms.
This game allows multiple guilds and more guilds should embrace that feature. Guilds should take on a specific goal and let their members represent when engaging in that activity with the guild. (ie represent a PvE guild when running dungeons with them, represent a WvW guild when running WvW with them). Assuming the player does actually represent them for a decent portion of his play time I think it should be embraced.
I think it is stupid for guilds to have an extremist view of representing.
Don’t put too much faith in armor icons, some armors share the same icon but have very different appearances.
Just because your next story quest is L14 it doesn’t mean you are meant to go there straight away. Play more of the game and you will level up. When you are 14 or above go do your story quest.
It boggles me that people think this game is so rigid that they are screwed when they are under-leveled for their story quest…
Think of it on the flipside, both sides population can be filled with people who are not actively engaging in the battles.
Also, these people will generally be alone and therefore easy targets.
Some of those coming to do map completion may never have considered world pvp before and find out they are really good at it or enjoy it because they happened to give it a try while there. Your server gets another soldier.
Pros and cons to everything if you are willing to think about it.
I am looking for an offpeak WvW guild on the Blackgate server.
You’d think it would be easy to find, but I have one criteria that they don’t seem to like.
I only want to rep when I am doing WvW.
During the day I do dungeons and level toons with my brothers guild during american peak time. While doing that I represent them.
During the night I want to WvW with an offpeak guild. During that time I will represent the WvW guild.
I play A LOT, every day but most guilds seem to be stuck on the opinion that if a member doesn’t represent 100% of the time then they are not contributing enough to be a member.
I am looking for a guild that appreciates that it is not that black and white.
If you are that guild please get in touch with me. Thank you.
There are more than enough zones to level in, if you find yourself under level in one zone, go to a different one.
You received 2 Gifts of Exploration?
You got the Been There, Done That title/achievement?
The star will only show on the character you completed all maps with.
The rarity is most definitely in the stats not the skin. Anyone that says otherwise is trolling because they are wrong.
Lololol.
1. Each item can only hold 1 upgrade.
2. Numbers like 0/4 mean if four different items have that same upgrade then you unlock all 4 bonuses listed on the upgrade (the best ones have 6 bonuses so you need 6 of the upgrade each on different items).
Maybe you all just leveled up, got more traits, better gear, learned your classes better and the dungeons got nerfed?
People complain. If everything was perfect they would complain about having nothing to complain about (obvious exaggeration).
ArenaNet have their game analysis statistics and likely base the majority of their game changes on those. People whining on the forums may play some part but it is likely very small.
ArenaNet can’t cater to all of the whiners because some of them may very well just suck at their class or even at games in general lol.
My main is a warrior though…
It is not true. You have to explore the map to uncover it on each character you create.
Does the Map Completion reward scale with the level of the player or the zone?
Posted by: Bluestone.7106
It does not scale to anything, it is the set level of the zone.
Juvenile just means you can charm it, or have charmed it.
My theory is that a juvenile animal is young enough to form a bond with its ranger.
However I would love it if they aged to adulthood after a period of time or something, making them bigger perhaps.
I have a checklist on the wiki that people can use to see what they might be missing, all zones in one page: http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/User:Bluestone/Explorer
I hope some people find it useful as I presented it in the way I was looking for it when I was trying to get the explorer achievements.
My wife found ranger the easiest though she stopped playing because she didn’t like the design style
I began running dungeons in L80 masterwork gear (Green). Have had no problems with damage output or survivability and now have over half my L80 exotics sorted.
If you play smart then greens can work fine, though it may depend on the dungeon…
Raidcall is free. Not the best quality in the world…but hey…its free.
I have never had any problems with quality in Raidcall even with a couple dozen people in the same room.
What rewards do you think you should have got? (so we can understand what exactly you may not have done yet)
I don’t think you can see your own star next to your characters name, and when you get the star it is per character not for the entire account.
Bluestone, have you personally tried if the green karma gear can be put in the mystic forge?
When i will log this evening i could give it a try.
Yes, this is what I spend my Karma on – L80 greens to put in mystic forge.
If there is damage as the result of an account being hacked then you can submit a support ticket. The degree of help you can get I am not sure. Currently the GMs cannot restore items but are working on a tool that will allow them to and it may allow retroactive rollbacks.
I was in ventrilo one time with guildies. I was mucking around and created a new rank called timeout and moved an officer there. We had a laugh then I moved him back, then realised I put him as a leader not an officer so I said in vent to right click his name and choose officer and he did it then afterwards realised he had been leader for a second lol.
OR, no one has found where you can get them yet because it’s a super secret and Anet don’t want to give it away.
This isn’t explore btw (Explore will make people think of the Explorer Achievements.)
What you want is world completion.
What are your totals for hearts etc? I have 100% world completion so can check if your totals are showing correctly against mine. If they aren’t then we can confirm it as a bug, if they do match then we have to try find what you’re missing.
You may be receiving multiple effects at once or in quick succession and thus triggering the 90s cooldown on it proccing.
Guilds work across servers Amen, you can still see each others guild chat, and all will still show on the roster. You can even still do dungeons with people on other servers. An automated system would be redundant.
Guilds don’t exist on one server only Amen, they exist across all servers at once, so the guild never moves server, only it’s members.
They are on a different home world.
Buy L80 karma gear in Orr (the green stuff not the 42k stuff). Put the L80 karma gear into the mystic forge to hopefully get yellow gear. Salvage yellow gear for ectos to go towards the crafting of your Carrion set.
Are you a completionist? I will not be “done” until I have all 8 crafts maxed out, one of each class to 80 (except necro, I don’t do undead) and 100% world completion on each, all dungeon paths cleared etc. I will be busy in GW2 for a very long time.
Bleeds (and other conditions and boons) cap at 25 stacks.
Yea, a guild exists across all servers simultaneously so guild chat, roster and message of the day work across all servers. Only the influence and upgrades are specific to a particular server.
Does this one help you? http://gw2cartographers.com/
gw2cartographers.com does not help with explorer achievements at all because it does not show the white name labels that are required for explorer achievements. I wish people would stop posting it in threads about explorer achievements.
If it is any help to the OP I made a list after I completed the achievements and have put it on the wiki: http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/User:Bluestone/Explorer
So you can check off the areas you already have against my list and see what you are missing.
This one can’t really bug as it is a place of power that you commune with. It is under the hill in a centaur cave that you approach from the west through the little valleys in that side of the hill.
Attacks that don’t have red circles are meant to be extremely difficult to time.
Soulbound on Acquire.
I feel safe in saying there is nothing wrong with what you are doing.
If you were buying high level items for a measly 21 karma then it would be an obvious exploit and you would get banned (as many players found out). But you aren’t doing that.
Basically you get somewhere between 300-400 karma per event. So you have to do 3 events to get 1 item. Seems fine to me, you have to put in the effort to get the reward.
Do you have the 100% vengeance rally trait Garrix? without that you only have a 50% (?) chance to rally when you kill something in vengeance.
Ah yes so do the Morgan’s Spiral puzzle to get to the Dark Reverie Puzzle to reveal the Dreamdark Enclave area.
You can reveal that area without doing the puzzle btw. I had not done it on my ranger when I went to have a look and it was already revealed on my rangers map.
Moving would not wipe the influence on your current server either so even if you moved beforehand and if the Dev’s are actually working towards compensating guilds that move then the record of your influence will still exist for them to take it into account.
In my opinion you should just move now and start building influence on the new server, hoping that the dev’s will be able to remedy the influence situation soon.
I do think I recall a dev saying somewhere that they are asking guilds to move so it is only fair that they look into influence moving too or something similar.
Watch where you go, learn which mobs have the pulling ability and avoid them, favoring running near mobs that do not pull.
Stick at it and it becomes easier.
Upgrades are gained from influence, your upgrades are server specific as well.
If you have a guild bank on one server you need to unlock it on other servers etc.
I am currently in 2 smallish guilds. One is my old guild from GW1 that I got back in touch with and the other is my brothers guild.
I mainly represent my brother’s guild because he bought the game for me as a gift.
So I already have 2 small guilds of old friends and family but I want to also join a zerg guild, primarily for WvW. But it seems impossible to find any other guilds that don’t have a representing requirement.
The game allows multiple guilds so I was hoping more guilds would embrace sharing members a little more. At very least the zerg guilds since they have members coming out their wazoo’s.
If you craft then purchase all the imbued inscription/insignia etc. recipes from your craft master.
Basically every time you are defeated an item gets damaged, after all 6 are damaged the next time you are defeated an item breaks.
It may be 7 not six since my backslot became damaged once, though it may have been a bug since I was not wearing any other clothes at the time (was doing jumping puzzles), and I have not been able to recreate it.
You still get the full benefit of damaged items (they show an orange/yellow broken shield icon) but when an item is broken (red broken shield icon) you are getting no benefits from it.
The only jumping puzzle you must do to open up a name is Morgan’s Spiral, and at least step into Dark Reverie after it.
I think you mean Dreamdark Enclave, it must have been called Dark Reverie in a beta or something because both names exist in the wiki but the in game map says Dreamdark Enclave.
Did you check http://gw2cartographers.com/ ?
That site does not show the white name labels on the map that are required for the explorer achievements.
There is a list on the wiki for the explorer achievements that people can check against their in-game maps to find any they are missing: http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/User:Bluestone/Explorer
Just play till you notice a reduction. Chances are you as a normal player will not ever notice any reduction.
