I’ll be playing the same amount., maybe different things. Like more sPvP and WvW. At least till the session ends. Normally I did dailies and dungeons with a bit of map completion. Now I only have 3 zones left to do. The update has given me more things to do.
While I like how I have the option to play through GW1 the idea of playing a game I don’t want to for the sole purpose of helping the game I do want to play for a whole month sounds horrible.
I’m not saying GW1 is bad, I’ve heard nothing but good things about it, but a “few months” is something that I do not have. If HoM weapon skins ever touched the Gem Store I’d gladly drop the $$$ for this single beautiful rifle.
I will physically kitten if they where to put the HoM rewards in the BLTC. I spent years collecting everything to get my rewards and titles. One of my friends who never played guild wars. Has got it just to get the Firery dragons breath sword. He saw me with it and wanted it that bad. You clearly do not want it bad enough. If you did, you’d already have it.
My money’s on the fact there nice weather. I’m mainly on before I got to work
If you did the 2’monthlys achevments you should have got the cheat then. You didn’t have to do 4 achevments. So if you didn’t get a chest after completing the first 2 you did. Then send in a bug report.
The future should be now though…. this has been complained about for 9 months (I’ve only played for that long. I wouldn’t be surprised if it was a day 1 issue). I realize things move slowly, but you’ve been here for 5 months you said? And all we have to show for it is WXP chests and a poorly implemented WXP skill system.
At some point things need to happen now instead of constantly using Blizzard’s ’SOON’tm where soon is any period from 3 months from now to never, but certainly never now..
There are some big things we will be talking about in the next few weeks that should hopefully help you to understand what we’ve been working on. If that doesn’t satisfy you, well… “I’ve got a ball, perhaps you would like to bounce it.”

Since just before the tournament began I’ve not really had much time to play GW2; and when I do play it’s in WvW.
We are 2 weeks in now and I’ve already got 8/10 achievements with 5 more almost done! And I’ve hardly spent that much time in the game in the last 2 weeks!
What is the point in having a 10 week tournament if the achievements can be done in one by dedicated WvW Players?!
Sure it’s great to get rid of the PvE AP players, but then wouldnt it be better to make more of the achievements harder to get so that they must play at least half the season and have to contribute to WvW instead of just zerging. Though to be honest I think if that happened the PvE players would just zerg for 5 weeks instead.But seriously, more thought and effort needs to be put into WvW!
I’m glad you’ve had it so easy. But I don’t get to play in the evenings. Normally I play early mornings and during the week days when most people are in work/school/whatever. But I’ve only managed to get 3/10 done. Some of them I thought where a bit much and I don’t think I’ll get all of them done unless I get a chance to get on I. The evenings which is probably not going to happen. Just because your having an easy time with it will not mean everyone is. And seeing as there are no dailie achevments added in on this meta I don’t think I’ll get it in the time that is left.
I’d like to see LA rebuilt in the image of the Guild Wars LA/Old LA. I loved the shape and feel of it. The look of it. LA in guild wars 2 felt cluttered dirty a real mess. I didn’t like going there. Now it’s a smouldering mess I could not be happier as a player. Story wise it was powerful, and I enjoyed the whole LA battle. Now the rebuild should not put it back as it was, as the city was built from the wrecks of the ships washed up there. So now the only opinion is stone and mettle. Yes some wood, but not to the level of what it was. Maybe then. LA will be a better place to go.
I feel we need more PS. I feel some of the PS should be tweaked. So nothing really takes place in LA. Then I feel the PS would flow nicely out side of the LW. What I personally feel is that the PS needs to continue. LW is fine and all. But once it’s gone it’s gone. The PS is constant and playable at your own pace. This is how a story in a games should be. Guild wars 1 had this spot on.
I’m loving the coming patch. I am very great full to ANet for all the work they do to the game. Do I love everything in the game? No there are things I’d like changed, but I can live with the way the game is. I’m enjoying the content and I try to play everyday. Even if it’s for 30 mins.
Do them with your guild. I do. Or start your own dungeon group. Can’t say I’ve ever found a group that want sigels. I’ve seen groups asking for 5-8k AP. Those groups I avoid. Anyone who thinks AP makes you a better player is just deluded.
As a person who moved to Gandara during the transfer window. I can say that some of the Biggest guilds on FoW moved to Gandara. So I know they have had arou d 250 people from one guild alone. Not sure how many are in the other guilds. So I’m hoping for good things in Gandara. It’s been fun so far. As FoW was a diying server this is a nice change to be able to play WvW with out being steam rollered every few minuets.
My biggest problem with tempory content is the fact that if you want to do it, you have to do it at brake neck speed out of fear that you may not get to finish it. I don’t mind it but I would like some perminant content to do as well. Like map new areas. New dungeons. They way it’s looking is that we will kill the next ED in the LS. Which I feel if we do is BS. It should be a separate personal story. As it’s the packs job to take out the dragons. Not Destonys Edge 2.0. I know some people will be all PS sucks. Some people feel the same about the LS.
I think it would make sence for them to bring out session 2 after WvW session 2. It would just make sence. Feature update will drop when it’s ready. Not before.
They have said there will be an epilogue update on the 18th.
Come on. You can’t have a single player RPG story in an MMO. Sure if this was a Dragon Age style game then yeah we could change how the story played out. But it’s not. We the player are just along for the ride. As we are in any MMO.
Yeah we will get it as fractals. They have already started with the molten facility and Mia Trin.
A great idea. But I’d rather it be indavidual. As much as I like my guild I may not like my guilds idea of what claw island looks like. Also it should not be guild sentric. As you can not keep everyone happy. I know they can have there own. But guild housing. Should be separate entirely. I just wish we could do more with our home instances. Unless you have nodes in them. There is no resin to go there after the PS steps. Something needs to be done with that first.
I’m not a fan of the Slyvari or how ever the hell you spell there name. There is not one thing I like about the. At all I he whole game. From models weapons right up to there charectors and lore. There is nothing more I would like more than to see them wiped from the face of Tyria. I like every other race in the game. Or something about them. But the sylvari just done sit right with me. There whole exzistance just feels like an kitten pull.

Actually, Crucible of Eternity is northeast of old Droknar’s Forge. If you go down into the waters of the lake you can find the sunken ruins of it not far from a Quaggan settlement.
Droknar’s Forge was massive. So it could be parts of the outer wall. But the main part of Droknar’s is where CoE is. Also the ruining may be that of port slege.
A sunamie. May exsploit LA. But the water would reseed. Otherwise other areas along the coast would also be under water but they are not. In fact some are now land locked areas.

Well it dose but not really. After compairing Guild Wars and Guild Wars 2 maps. I found that physics in Tyria is kinda squed. Lions Arch flooded dew to Orr rising right? That’s not possible. Orr had sunk to the bottom of the sea. The water was as high as it was going to be, yet when Orr serfaced it flooded LA. Also if LA got flooded then why is Kessex hills not also a flooded area? In guild wars the lake where the tower of nightmares stood was a cove. And the small out post to the south is on the spot where fisher and haven stood in guild wars. So how can one area flood and not the other? Also south sun cove is stirring where sanctum cay was yet we where told that sunk dew to the rising of Orr. Again this dose not follow with kessex being high and dry. The wizards tower is also in the wrong place. It is now sitting where the temple of tollorance once stood. The Temple of the Ages was on top of a small hill. Yet in Guild Wars 2 some how his hill has colapst in on its self to make a crater and completely sink it. There is so much more in Ascalon, searing coldrun, Pikin square. All in the wrong places geographically. Right places on he map just the attain is all wrong. Ascalon city. Completely diffrant from what was described in The Ghost of Ascalon book. Not to mention the runins of old Ascalon is also a crater for some odd resin. So much is right yt so so much is wrong.
I understand that many players from GW1 bought and supported GW2 but don’t expect to get something from that,why should you expect to get something,and you still get an armor skin,titles,achievement points,exclusive pets for the ranger,isn’t that enough?
You should be glad they add skins from gw1 in the game,buy them to support gw2 if you want.You speak about how hard was to get those weapons in GW1…yea in GW1,this is GW2,we have here other weapons hard to get aka legendaries.This is not GW1.
If I could buy them and not have to RNG box to get them I would. The skins are a joke and a way to keep people buying keys. I would love to see more guild wars 1 skins in guild wars 2. But putting them In the gem store is taking the kitten. I’m all for supporting the game and I do. I’ve pumped £70 into the game this year already. But want I want is real additions. Not this gem store crap.
Yet another I want it handed to me post. I too hate crafting. But I’ve spent the time/money to level my weapon and armor crafting to 500(armor smith was just today. ). But if you want I that bad, you have to work for it. I really want The Flamseeker prophecies. But the fact that I’ll have to pay god know how much in gold which will take me forever to gather just to buy some of the mats I’ve given up as I know I just don’t have the time to comit to it. But I’m happy with my ascended weapons. And now I can start on the armor.
So in short, work for it.

So I’m getting a new PC soon ish. I’m I’m going for an i3. But my question is is the price difference worth it between these 2 cards? I’ve had a hunt around on the Internet and I’ve see a £30-£40 diffrance between the 2. If the performance diffrance between the 2 it not worth the price difference then I’ll get the 660. Just wondering. If anyone would offer there opinion on which is better and why.

There has been some great content. But there’s the problem. When friends ask me is the game worth getting. I tell them about the living story. Which is a good selling point. But the. When I tell them about the fact that if they got the game there and then. They would NEVER get to play that content. It’s gone! They seem less interested. After getting 5 friends to buy guild wars, guild wars 2 has attracted zero of my friends. After they all loved Guild Wars.
I my self have had fun. But the inability to play the content at your own pace has ment I’ve missed out on a lot of it. Not to mention the mass of bugs that keep being introduced.
But if I compair this with that we had by this point in Guild Wars life, we had a lot more. Not to mention a better story that you could follow.
I’m getting the awards but not the achievements. They flash up on my screen. But are not showing in my achievement screen.

I hope she burns it all. I hope ANet put an air ship in there so we can have an over view of all that is happening. That would be great. Then when we rebuild it can be made of stone and look like LA from Guild Wars and not he hulls of old ships that we have now.
The lack of what I consider nice weapon and armor skins. I find that there where a lot of nicer skins in Guild Wars by his point in its life.
Well now you know how the WvW players feel about being forced in doing PvE to get that higher tier gear….

You can obtain Badges of Honor from Achievement Chests.
You can gain ranks from Laurels.
You do not need to enter WvW, except for a brief moment to buy your Gift of Battle.

If you talked to certain NPC’s or listened to the dialogue you could piece everything together. Most people were busier grabbing sky crystals, jumping off the sanctum or (like me) taking screen shots of everything, lol.

I had to do dungeons over and over to get the armor skins I wanted. Not to mention you would be able to buy gifts. That would make so many people QQ.
Just because some games have even worse designers doesn’t make the rng and grind in gw2 acceptable…. It just means it’s not the worst contender. Also GW2 is aimed for a us/eu audience, the audiences who least enjoy long terrible grinds.
Name one MMORPG that has better RNG and grind?

We know that Glint layed a lot of eggs before the Great Destroyer awoke. Also we know from Eye of the North that the Dwafs where guarding 3(I think) baby dragons in the Challange event in the Central Tranfer Chamber. So after the death of glint the baby’s took over from there mother who over the thosand of years broke free of her master.

It did. You had to get the badges. Now they add this extra hoop to jump through. I’ve got no problem with it. I play WvW from time to time same for PvP. And seeing as my gaming time is very random and normally during the day. I think it will take me some time to get to 30. Only got to 10 today.
Not entirely true. When the game first came out you had to play WvW to get badges. Then the achievement point chests came out. I had 500 badges before I even stepped into WvW.
Now they’ve just added the requirement of playing WvW back in. Or paying in laurels to bypass it since you can buy ranks with laurels.

I personally don’t know and I’m currently at work so I can’t check. But it’s been there since launch and in another thread it’s laurels and 50 badges of honor for a taste of liquid wxp and that it’s been there since October. Probably when they launched wxp.
Found out:
It costs 2 laurels and 50 badges of honor.
Each one gives 5000 world experience. If you do not do any WvW, the first one will get you to level 5. Each one after that will only give you 1 level.
So in total to get to 30 without doing any WvW you would need:
52 laurels. 1300 badges of honor.

You don’t even need a guild for this. 10 guys can flip a map. Did it today. Rather funny just strolling for fort to fort and taking them with no resistance other than NPC.
That’s because this is a PvE map where you can kill people. Most people try to look at it as a WvW map and that isn’t the case.
I was refuting to a borderland. My self and 9 others went and made a borderland ours with out any problems from other players. EoTM has pulled almost everyone out of the normal WvW maps. At least for my server it would seem.

Some one said, I don’t know who, that you get the sprockets at the cost of extra ore chance when mining. If that’s the case I’m fine with it. I have my sprocket node in my home instance. I’d rather the extra ore. I mean I have nearly 2 stacks of sprockets already.
The wood and ore you find in an area is a good indecation of what level the crafting is. Though I think iron ore is used from 25-50 But you do have to make steel at some point I want to say 35 ish. But not 100%. But basically what ever gathered items you find in an area is what you’ll need for our level. With that said cloth seems hard to come by. So if your doing armor crafting you’ll probably level faster Han you can make armor. I know I did.
