Yeah… Thats a new WvW. It being better would only be a potential sideeffect of it being new.
GW2 isnt really helped by this. They already gave up on much smaller ideas because… well they where too big. You need to think inside the box for a better WvW, or at the very least on the edges. Your suggestion is outside the box, the room, the building and up in space.
But hey its an open forum, maybe an Anet developer scribbling down thoughts on GW3 goes “hmm that give me an idea…”

the automatic dolly upgrade is ok, not perfect but ok.
The thing lacking is manual interaction once it is time for an upgrade and some player choose to “personalize” an objective.
IMO it should be done in an incredibly simple manner – just copy the trait system straight up. When a keep is at 20/20 dollys, it wont progress untill someone pick up/middle/down. For example, up give +40% door strength, middle give +20% wall strength and down give mortars. You can only pick one. Then at 40/40, you get the next set of options. Cannons are up, twice the guard strength middle and +20% supply capacity down. At 80/80 – Waypoint is up, fortified walls is middle and fortified doors is down. This is just random examples I came up with in 10m.
Not only would this heavily nerf current fortified and sieged objectives (do you focus on covering every fortified wall cataspot with siege? Then your doors will be a weakpoint), it would mean we have an impact on how the autoupgrades progress. It would involve us in objectives again and make them more than just automatic PPT.
And before anyone kitten and moan about trolling, you cant have a good system thats not open toward the end user in some manner. This apply to everything in the game. Of course guilds should be able to lock it for important objectives, like with tactivators. A guild wont upgrade or is trolling? Unlock it automatically after 3 more dollys at capacity or something, problem solved.

The “competetive” cost of the game is literally the cost of the game (ie HoT, not GW2 vanilla if you find a dusty copy on a store shelf). Maybe 2 weeks of leveling to 80 and you can spar with the best of people in WvW, gearwise. Or an hour or so and jump into PvP, lol.
The true cost of the game however is maybe 2-3 times that. Because to be honest you will want extra characters and you will want a bigger bank and you will want higher stacks and you will want more bagslots on your characters and you will want to change your face/name… That’s how Anet gets you. Yes you can convert gold->gems of course but still. Lets assume you arent a no-lifer-trading-post-flipper with 10,000 gold. I consider it well worth it and it’s faaaaaaaaar from subscription costs, with no pressure to constantly play every month to get your moneys worth.

Yes it’s probably easy win 1 vs 5 if enemies don’t know how to dodge or remove conditions.
which you cant keep up because the amount of conditions some classes pump up is much higher than the 30 seconds cd cleanse the player has access to.
Things like this make the wvw kitten crap.
Can you detail which classes only have access to cleanses every 30 seconds?
Does it really matter? My tempest cleanse 2 condis every shout (using 5 shouts) plus 1 condi every second and regen like 2000+ hp/s when cycling heals.
I still cannot cleanse all the condis from a single reaper that knows how to push condis..
A good reaper knows how to hide those 15-20+ stacks of bleeding behind half a dozen other condis and there are few that can cleanse that much that fast. Even if you do manage it for the moment… well you’re gonna have about the same stacks on you within 5 seconds again. GG reaper.
No neeeeever seen it before.
PvE? None. Toss it away. Scrap it. Do whatever with it.
WvW? Dire/trailblazer on cancer necros is meta, as is perplexity mesmers and permastealth thieves. Guards and eles meeeeeeeh it’ll work but it’s not as common.

This seem to imply that the purpose of the game is to be on the tag.

It is a player conceived perception that this is how the game is supposed to be.

GW2 supports neither modding or is in an early access development phase, sorry. Anyone is welcome to post threads but what you see is what you get so dont expect much.
From the looks of it though, it would seem the b350 motherboards are the best bet, being affordable and also having the ability to overclock while still being cheaper than the Z series counterparts. It’d be safer when stuff gets tried and tested with more reviewers though.
B350 use kittenty sound and network chips. Its not a gamers board unless you plan to fill the expansion slots with extras. It doesnt really matter if x370 boards has sli/crossfire, you are gonna get that whether you want to or not (on B350 as well). If you dont want that a fully featured X370 mATX/ITX board like Intel has would be ideal but unfortunetly AMD and motherboard manufacturers has apparently said kitten you we aint gonna make it. Only heard of one mythical mATX X370 board thats still nowhere to be seen.
The fact of the matter though is regardless of your personal opinion, it isn’t healthy for the game mode in its current state. There’s a reason why everyone blobs up now and stacks resistance as much as possible. There’s a reason why GvG is dead now and there’s few roamers to be found now. Those of you who only ever zerged before and got sick of being crushed by more skilled players finally feel useful and i could understand that. But the current state of condi is driving away the more skilled players that enjoyed GvG and fast paced, skill based combat as opposed to our current skill-less condi spam meta. It doesn’t take any skill to have 3k armor and 30k health, press 2 buttons and kill groups of people.
And yet as I have stated multiple times, it’s the GvG guilds that has kittened and moaned that zergbusting isnt possible anymore… Yet your 1v10 example is somehow “wrong” and unbalanced when its exactly what hardcore WvWers wanted?
I mean sure some of us said, no it’s not right that 1 meteor storm should be able to hit 50 people for 5K each time a meteor drop and how such changes would only empower the bigger zerg since they follow the same rules but people was foaming at the mouth and throwing hardcore guilds around and how 10v50 should be possible in order to punish those stacking on top of each other.
But when it’s condi stacking instead of “fair” insta-killing power, everyone looses their mind.

Artificially? Its literally huge compared to ABL.
Case of point, go to the SW tower. Stand on the west wall. See that sentry within LoS, no cliffs between? If you where to go there, bay outer is still 2 times that distance away straight and 3 times to walk.
Now go to ABL, SW tower. Stand outside the lord room and look towards bay. See bay outer wall? Thats the same bloody distance to the sentry in the DBL case.
There is nothing “artificial” about the DBL size. It was made big.

Unless you are implying that WvW is getting a kittenton of new players – which would be great – then they have to come from somewhere, ie another server go low and the linkable servers swap.
So what happens when a 100 man guild is currently 100% on a server and then when they get the mails, the leader pick a server but some are late and only 30% of the guild get on the server before its full?
Your idea is unacceptable.

This has generally not been complained about though so I fail to see the threat… Quite the opposite, people usually want more hp across the board given the HoT power creep.

I have set up mine fairly simple:
q (F1), e (heal), r/t/y (skills) and g (elite). Normal wasd for control otherwise.
Problem is classes with lots of F keys, bleh.

They closed it down due to not wanting to deal with toxic players or spend the effort moderating it because they had their hands full with the sPvP forum and esports. After that, no matchup threads on the “general” WvW forum (ie this) was allowed to further make the point.
So its simple really. First rule of WvW, you dont talk about WvW.
We should clearly get rid of all the BLs, get rid of EotM, and just have EBG by this argument. Which would just be silly. We need maps that are different, even maps that are less popular. Nothing would be more boring than having four identical maps to play on.

We could easily have 4 EBs in a matchup. Population low, the servers can only queue 1 of the EBs? Then have 2 EBs for lower and more balanced scores (50% max of 4 EBs). More people coming online in primetime? Open up another EB. Simple and effective instancing based on populations.
Of course in an ideal world we would have 4 differently designed 3-way EBs (castle on one, ruins on another in a jungle setting, maybe huge quaggan infested lake on the third in a winter setting, etc etc) but what are you going to do.
I wonder how boring people would really think it is. People still play EoTM and that’s only 1 map, over and over and over again. People still stay in 100 man queues and AFK on borders in order to play that boring map.

I play counter strike and enemy have some pro player and i can’t hit barn wall. So when he kill me by using ak47 i whine that devs should remove ak. After that he use shotgun and i whine that devs should remove shotgun.
This would only be a valid comparison to GW2 if his AK47 did 20% of your HP in damage every second for 20 seconds and he have twice your hitpoints while your AK47 only hit him for 1% damage every shot.

I am fine with guild alliances but your method… its just too complicated. And it doesnt really fix any problems with WvW. It create a new WvW sure… personally I prefer a better WvW. For that we need to do things that arent mentioned in your pure organizational design change.
We need to get rid of the static home border concept and go true 3-way (this allow for much more flexible instancing to accomodate a varying population), scale points on population differences, rip out all the automated kittene and give players control over upgrade paths again, delete the tier based point system, nerf T3, take away all the HoT guild upgrade kittene and make fighting over objectives fun again, make scouts great again by deleting the sentry warning system, rebalance siege that got kittened up years ago by masteries etc etc..
Sorry, that became a rant. Either way, I still think the idea is just meh at this time.
You need it in absolutely massive quantities to craft anything, yet can only “farm” it in a single map in the entire game.
Lolwat? Long before LD they added leather synthesizers to WvW where you was supposed to farm for it.
To bad they forgot to add it to the loottable. Either that or its a 0.000001% droprate cause I dont think I have ever seen high tier leather drop.
I don’t see a real reason to not give numbers of a map cap, even a number close to it wouldn’t be that bad to know.

Necro is simply still too weak in WvW. 40 stacks of bleed is like pfff who even feel that. It should be 120 stacks.

Its fiiiiiine… FSP only have 2.9 kdr and 100% of skirmishes won so far. They can still turn it around. I’m certain of it.
Heavy classes shouldnt be allowed movement speed bonuses period.
kitten how fun that would be. The entire melee frontline would move at base speed while backline is 25-33% – it would make light and medium melee builds lead the charge. It would even put the thumb down on roaming warriors – sure you can be near immortal with your 1K/s hp regen and passives coming out the kitten but you cant run for kitten.

I don’t run as a commander but I suspect its a full Minstrel armor set up (Toughness, Vitality, Concentration, Healing Power)
Pretty much the worst thing you can do is bringing a supertank. It wont stop you from getting epidemiced, moaed or focused, but it will make you kitten and moan about how there is no damage where you are standing, surrounded by 10 dead zergers because even the frontline couldnt stand still for 2 seconds in the 10×10m carpet of necro marks stacked 10 deep.

Lolwat… The only reason you visit those places is for world exploration. Which generally mean you have to kill some stuff to do hearts. Possibly dailies.
