That or a bug. Anyways, I don’t even know if you play PvP as much as he does. And PvE only gives you so much for a while before you get bored.
I actually PvP more then I PvE. So I’ve missed a few queues here and there with having a child, dog and cat who all sometimes require me to walk away from the computer suddenly. People lie, or bend the truth. From personal experience, after missing a couple of queues, not back to back, but a couple in the whole day I played, I got a 5 minute debuff. So it sounds like the OP isn’t just missing queues, he’s leaving matches. 72 hours is a really long time for 1 queue. Even when a lot of people were talking about a 24 hour debuff for leaving games. They don’t have people who don’t accept a queue getting longer times then game leavers.
It’s not a bug, the OP is really doing something wrong.

GW2 doesn’t have any auto promotion for guild leaders by the way. Unless he promotes someone, he will have leader status until the end of time, or Anet changes the way they handle guilds.
Your best bet is to form a new guild and start over.

But it’s not a long time. I have no idea where the OP got that it’s 30 days, because it’s not. And the reason they don’t say how long it is, is because gold sellers will find a way around it. This way, it’s just play and you’re fine. A brand new account shouldn’t need to be sending items. If you were Free to play and upgraded to a paid account, it clearly states these features take 5 days.
So I really am not sure what the issue is.

Since the game was released, there has never been direct trade in this game. Not sure why that feature bothers you. It’s never been available. Just because other games have it, doesn’t mean it’s required. They have the TP for selling items. Otherwise you trade at your own risk. Because they don’t want to deal with the trades not going the way the player wants.
New accounts have restrictions. And it’s not 30 days. Anet actually hasn’t listed how long it is. It’s based on play time and what you do.

Change Copper Fed Salvage-O-Matic from 10% chance to recover upgrades to 0% chance to recover upgrades and then we have solved one of the biggest problems in the game.
I like getting the sigils and runes though. So I don’t want this to happen. If they want to do it to the paid 15/25 salavage kits you buy, sure, but not my Salvage-o-matic. They are great in the MF, especially when I get a random rare. I just keep a bunch on my pvp engie since she has empty bag space for nothing.

Well, most of the people who send in network issues to Anet are having issues on the pathway to the servers. Which, Anet doesn’t own, nor can they control/fix.
Have you tried repairing your client? And is the TP working? There are some browser issues that will cause in game issues as well. It’s listed in the FAQ.

I think that’s it, so far. I’m not sure.
How? I have mine on a shared inventory slot and now I never have to worry about basic salvage kits on anyone.

if they can’t whisper enough people they’ll just switch to map and say chat. I personally don’t see it as an improvement if map or say chat is filled with gold seller spam that right now is going out to individual people. You’ll have to block all of them each time you go to an area where they are, not just the ones that directly whisper you.

Can you see the map and say chat of someone youve blocked? I havent really used the block function enough to know.
IF you block someone, you can’t see any chat they say, doesn’t matter what channel it’s in.

I don’t play PvP for the rewards. I play PvP for the 5v5 fights (I only play Arenas, actually, I used to only play ranked Arenas, even before reward tracks).
This game has turned into “I want presents for everything I do”. Which if that is what you need, that’s your opinion. I don’t feel that. I want to win in PvP. If they went back to the old system, I wouldn’t care. As long as they never get rid of the 5v5 arenas, I’m happy.
For PvP this is totally fine as you have very little expenses in general. You don’t need to buy ascended armor, weapons and trinkets, various consumables and siege equipment to play optimally. WvW, however, can be very expensive. To be competitive you need ascended gear which currently costs a few hundred gold per character, you need food and nourishments (~1,5g/hour), you need to upgrade your guild hall (gazillions of gold), you need siege weapons (up to 3g a piece) etc. You need some income for this, and sadly, it doesn’t come from WvW itself. You need to play PvE to pay for all of this. If WvW was self-sustainable I guess many WvW’ers would never set foot on Tyria.
Tl;dr: Be happy that you don’t need rewards to play PvP. WvW’ers don’t have that luxury.
Isn’t the point of WvW also to have the big fights and to win? I know I WvW a lot. Actually, I’m a perma scout. I run around and guard a keep or tower. Do you know how rewarding it is when you only get 1 fight in a 4 hour time spam? You barely get anything. But kitten , letting your group know the tower is under attack, and they show up in time to defend and save it. That’s my reward. So yes, I’m also very aware of the WvW “rewards”. I play for the fights. And I play for the defense. Everyone in my guild gets bags upon bags from the fights. I might get 5. The fights and winning is the reward. The loot is bonus.

Without posting any crash or disconnection details there is nothing anyone can do to help you. You can think the issues are with the Anet servers and refuse to look any further but it’s not. If it was a server issue everyone would be disconnected or crash, not just some. There is a drastic increase in system resources needed at meta events and world bosses due the the very large number of people that are there. This puts a huge strain on your PC that you don’t see at other times. Are you running the 32-bit client or the 64-bit client? If you are running a 64-bit OS then use the 64-bit client.
Anet can help me by getting better servers. And just because it works like that for some, doesn’t mean the problem isn’t on their end. Just the way some people seem to lag on some days and usually in large groups.
Get better servers won’t fix issues that are on your end. That’s not how servers work. If your network port is hitting bandwidth limits during meta events, you’ll get kicked. If you’re running the 32 bit client, you’ll hit memory caps and have an error. If your internet connection isn’t 100% stable, and during higher usage it shows it’s strain, you’ll get kicked.
I can go on and on and on about different issues that will cause you to get kicked. The only thing a new server would fix, would be if everyone is getting kicked from the events. Since that isn’t happening, something else is the cause. And if you don’t want to help or give more information so we can help you fix the issue, then you’ll still have the problem, and nothing Anet does will fix it.

Unfortunately, I think that doesn’t always resolve the issue, it just takes more time on the users end.
I only had to send in a ticket 1 time about a report I did. I can’t think of any other situation where they need to know why you are reported. If the person is harassing you, the chat log is pretty clear. If the person’s name is bad, that’s pretty clear. Otherwise, it’s becoming the player reporting giving their opinion on why, and that is never needed.

Tpnet.pl here aswell about 60% packet loss from telia. Game is unplayable at the moment constant lags, dcs and no access to log-in server error. It started with last patch not sure what to do.
If it’s happening at Telia, then it’s not an Anet issue. You have a few options
1) Contact your ISP to have them contact Telia to fix the node that is broken
2) Use a VPN (there are free and paid ones, warning, there are some issues with free ones)
3) Wait it out

I’m having same troubles – lags, rubber banding, ping going over 1k and more; I’m being constantly connected by some kittenty server on land-line connection while mobile one works perfectly and stable. How that can be?
That’s how the internet works. And it’s not the server giving you an issue. There is some node between you and Anet having a problem, and your land-line connection is hitting it while your mobile connect is not.

It’s the same for the WvW mission. You need 3 people there. I think 3 people is reasonable to expect for a guild. Lets people have their small guilds.

Agree, blocked players should not get match up with you in PvP either. I’ve had this one very bad behave player whom I blocked after I’ve voiced out my displeasure against them without result, the person is foul mouth, bad tempered and thinks hes the best players in the whole world. After blocked them I still get matched up with them several times and every one of these matches they purposely thrashed the match.
The thing is, you can just keep blocking people you think are bad, and then that becomes a huge mess. If he’s purposely throwing matches, you can report that and let Anet handle it.

Yeah, your guild needs I think it’s 200 if they want to make the gold statue. Now, if the OP isn’t in a guild, or one with a guild hall, he’s still out of luck.
But it’s just a statue. And it’s bonus loot. OP you didn’t “miss out on ascended” because you got that.

Best suggestion is to contact your ISP so they can contact Telia about the issue. Otherwise you can try a VPN (beware the free ones tend to have so many security issues) to see if it will try a different path and avoid the one causing you problems.
Also, the problem isn’t between hop 5 and the servers, the issue starts at hop 5, and it’s why the others are having issues. Hop 5 is the problem.

I’m all for them adding new things to each dungeon, but I do not agree with a token convert. Means people can farm the easy dungeons for the harder tokens. To me that isn’t how the dungeon should work.

Uhm, then I will contact the support, tell them post-patch this and that node started to be problematic and they tell me it is not their fault and I should contact my ISP. Happened to me before, and I don’t believe it. When everything runs fine and then there is some patch that ruins everything, it can’t be a coincidence.
Edit: well, anyway, I just logged in now, and it looks the problem is gone. Hopefully it stays like that
Well yeah, Anet doesn’t own the nodes you connect through to access their server. That is how the internet works.
So if there is an issue with your connection through the internet, your ISP (whom you pay to access the internet) is the one who takes note of the node having issues, and they are supposed to contact them.
Anet can only handle their servers and their ISP. Everything else isn’t on them.

Did you happen to get those broken Nvidia drivers when you did the drive update? There was a really bad isssue with the driver they released recently.

You have almost 2% packet loss right at your own IP, could be the router, or your modem having issues, but you should contact your ISP to get that resolved.
Also, when you log into a GW2 map, and you are lagging, you can type /ip, which will give you an IP address and put that into ping plotter. It will show you what the route is to that particular map is.

The ping plotter graph is, well horrible. Nodes 3,8 & 9 have 100% packet loss which is very bad and you have some packet loss and latency issues at node 5. There is no response from nodes 3, 8 and 9 so its hard to determine where they are located. It looks like there may be some service outages or issues. Since you said this only started within the week I would try another run at ping plotter if you are still having the issue. If it produces the same results I would contact your ISP and ask for their help, its not their issue but they have the knowledge and ability to help. You could submit a support ticket to Anet but I don’t think there is much they will be able to do on this.
Actually, 100% just means that node does not accept ping requests. Those 3 nodes are not an issue.
The 23% packet loss node is the issue, and it will ripple though. So yes, the OP is still having a problem outside of Anet’s control.

id be thrilled if anet could find a way to do that which does not affect legit players but im not convinced it would be possible. maybe they should buff the gems to gold conversion rate a bit and make the penalties harsher for gold buying. it might sway some gold buyers away which would make it less profitable and perhaps gold sellers might go away that way
If you are caught buying gold, you lose that gold amount from your account. That’s pretty harsh I say. Person spent real money on it, and now they have to go and deal with the issue. Either ask for money back, or worse, a charge back. OR even accept fate that they spent gold on nothing.

Run GPU-Z while the game is running, and ensure that the game is using the Nvidia card and not the built in intel one. That’s step one. It will also tell you if the card on the laptop is running okay as well

Spammer whispers don’t affect everyone the same. (I rarely get them; friends of mine get them every week.) The OP seems to be getting more than their share and (understandably) is more interested in more extreme tools.
I think a reasonable compromise is that if you /report someone for gold selling, than that account is /blocked for you. Admittedly, it’s just a savings of a few clicks, but it would be a big help for folks in combat.
I don’t think it’s reasonable that someone else’s preferences can affect what I see in game (not that I want to see gold sellers; I just don’t want someone else deciding for me who is/isn’t one).
I like this idea. If I report someone for certain actions though (like, if your name is blatantly against terms, you might not deserve to be blocked) but certainly if I report for gold selling, having it auto block would be really nice. During a PvP match I had to stop to block a gold seller because they were spamming my chat and I couldn’t read team chat it was so bad. I think we won though, but kitten , it was annoying.

From what I can see, it’s not called a Guild PvP Arena, but a Guild Arena. That would be clue one.
Clue Two: The Guild Arena is run and maintained by an Arena Proprietor. It is an area for guild members to use as a combat sandbox and customize it with obstacles and traps. New strategies or tactics may be tested and practiced by Guild Teams and members, but no rewards are available. Heart of Thorns Expansion is required to use the Guild Arena since interaction with an arena coordinator NPCs is required.
Doesn’t say anything about being a PvP arena there either.

Because you use Spirit shards (earned through other methods) for what the excess skill points where. Now Hero points can be maxed out, and you have no need for excess. HoT gave your experience on mastery, and when that was maxed out, it also isn’t needed.
My bet, it means they have plans for new mastery points in the future, but they don’t want people to be ahead of others, so when they are released, everyone is on equal playing fields.

Then you didn’t salvage them. As I said, if you had salvaged them it would have unlocked the collection spot first. And it wouldn’t remove it.
I’ve unlocked many different items in that particular collection, and I don’t have them physically anymore, but I still have the unlock. Just do fractals, get 10 pristine and buy the one you need. It’ll be faster then Anet thinking about adding all the different options that you suggested.

You get an access key when you purchase the game, and it’s used 1 time to create the account. The GW1 support team can assist you with getting the old account back, but they won’t just give you a free key for the game.
The GW1 support team is much slower then the Gw2 support team as it’s in maintenance only.

If you have the item, it’s added to the collection, then if you salvage it, you don’t lose it from the collection.
It sounds like you got rid of the ones you had from before the collection was added. At that point, yes, it doesn’t count.

I can’t speak for GW2 because I’ve never had an issue outside of the 1-3 times the entire game had an issue, and at those points I just log out and play something else until the Internet is happy again.
But I can say that I notice a big difference between my 35 and 70 ping dota matches versus the 200 I get when I play with my friend in South American. 200 pings makes pressing buttons hard.

I used to do accounting for a Hallmark store (we were a franchise, and I did the accounting for 1 of the stores that we owned) and each store had it’s own sales targets. We didn’t have some other company come in and tell us what our targets were. That should be the same for Anet. No other company should be able to come in and say if an expansion was a success or failure because what they guessed was wrong.
