Yes you can select which character you want to boost and when, a brand new character or one that already exists. Here is Anet’s tutorial video on how to use the boost.

Yes, you can apply the skin once without having to use a transmutation charge. The skin is also added to your wardrobe. If you want to apply the skin again after that it will cost you a transmutation charge. However, outfits and gliders can be used as often as you want with no transmutation charge cost.

There have been many reports of people that bought codes from G2A and ended up getting their accounts suspended/banned because the codes were bad/stolen. If you choose to buy from a source other than Anet make sure you buy from their list of authorized retailers.

Anet has not announced if there will be one. HoT has been on sale 50% off I think twice now since LS3 started. I’m guessing/almost certain some time in the future it will be on sale again. So keep an eye out for another sale some time in the future.

The base game included with HoT is only for new customers/accounts or those upgrading from free to play. It does not have a separate key. You cannot give it away to someone else.

Perhaps your account was compromised or as in some cases I have seen someone in your household did it if you left the game opened and unattended. If you think your account has been compromised you should change your password for the game and also consider changing the password for the email associated with you account. Other than that you will need to contact support regarding your missing character.

Again as others have stated, the personal story mastery points can only be earned once. Doing it again on another race will not reward more points. That said, I do wish they would add more mastery points to core.

Not going to take your survey. I bought more gems (several hundreds of dollars) during my first 100 hundred of so hours of play. I was new and found things exciting, but that was back in 2013 and when they still sold armor sets in the gem store instead of outfits. Since then, and after being very disappointed with HoT, I don’t feel like Anet has earned much more of my money. I still buy $10 worth occasionally but it is mostly to send gifts to others.

Also your survey is not going to be very accurate because for example players that played 0-100 hours or 101-500 hours probably quit and won’t see this even if they bought gems during that time period. Also there are probably people that played 500 hours and spent say a hundred dollars on gems and people that have played 3000 hours and maybe spent 10 dollars on gems once. So again, this is not an accurate survey as you only ask if someone ever bought gems.

People who were not around since the start can never catch up, so yes it isn’t a competition. There are so many points for LS1 for example that anyone that missed it can’t achieve. The achievement point leaderboard is a measure of nothing because no one can catch up unless they were there for every single opportunity from the start.

Maybe remove all the achievement points that are no longer obtainable from everyone as well as the daily and monthly and make the leaderboard a true competition.

It wouldnt be a competition in your definition then either because everyone in the front page of the leaderboard would be tied.
I guess that is what you want, maximum rewards for minimum efforts and everyone be the same.

Not to mention a lot of historical achievements were more difficult than existing achievements. Especially for stuff like reaching legendary in specific seasons, 5 AP for many hours of effort. But also many others such as the marionette achievements or aetherblade dungeon achievements

Ahh but see say someone started playing in say November 2013, they can never catch up even if they play 18 hours a day because so many points are no longer obtainable.

I didn’t say anything about being rewarded so I’m not sure where you got that from. I’m simply stating that the leaderboard is not something that can be a competition because there are historical points no longer available even if they were difficult to obtain. Players that were not there at the time and maybe up for say your legendary challenge can’t get to compete because it isn’t available to them.

So I say remove all historical achievement points that can no longer be earned from players as well as the daily achievement points. Seems fair to me if they want to make the leaderboard mean something. Remove the cap or remove daily achievement points and get rid of the achievement point leaderboard. That board really doesn’t show much. Achievement points are not really a competition because there are so many points players that were not around from day one can’t get anymore, so there is no reason to keep it. I don’t think most players even look at it or even care so they might as well just junk it.

If you are sure you entered the key properly and still have the error you will need to contact the seller, GameStop and let them know they sold you a bad key. If that does not work you can submit a support ticket to Anet (support link located at the top of the page) as GameStop is listed an Anet authorized retailer in several countries.

The client is the same but free/core/HoT have different levels of privileges. If you are getting an error message trying to access your free account you should consider submitting a support ticket.

I guess you will have to bind those skills to keys you have available then.

If you prefer the top row of keys to always behave as standard function keys without holding the Fn key:

Choose System Preferences from the Apple menu > choose Keyboard > Click the Keyboard tab if it is not already selected > Enable “Use all F1, F2, etc. keys as standard function keys.”

Note: This reverses the action of those keys so if you do so and want to say adjust volume, brightness etc., you will have to hold down the Fn key to do so.
