the game needs 1v1 mode regardless if it will be balanced or not, a lot of people enjoy doing 1v1’s already but they are forced into wvw for those
the only thing that is absolutely needed for 1v1 mode though is the presence of wider stats options than just a single amulet item
the lich form looks the same on all races and genders, the most politically correct skill in this game tbh
The coliseum map is way too bright compared to other maps, the brightness in there really disrupts the visibility of effects especially on mesmer and guardian who have bright/transparent abilities, as well as elem’s lightning attunement and a bit fire that all the while I’m already playing on a 0,75 gamma adjustment option
That considering teamfights are already rather chaotic and clogged with visual effects makes it really difficult to properly fight on the coliseum map and dodge particular abilities
so before coliseum goes out of beta it’d be cool if you could make it darker and reduce the brightness

1 sec to cast a heal skill in the middle of pvp is basically a suicide especially for thief, while ED is only 1/2 sec cast time and rev can soak about 70% more damage than thief

it performs the finisher animation and it consumes my limited finisher charges

Stomping with impact strike chain doesnt count towards completing the halloween stomp achievement, thx anet.

The boon steal with Steal + Impact Strike chain are one of the most deadly combos to a player who isn’t expecting to get CCed (a druid with his elite shout for example).
now you just need to get lucky to steal stability as druid pours dozens of other boons into himself every second
just dont forget to gut mesmers
high quality fights right there but doesnt it feel odd playing with such low mobility on thief?
especially when running DA instead of acrobatics you dont even have consistent swiftness while both spvp and wvw are more than just dueling and in both modes thief heavily relies on its mobility
also funny how you still end up having to run d/p all the while already having a melee weapon set and sacrificing a huge chunk of mobility, i guess thief just doesnt work without d/p anymore lol

considering you only have 15 seconds to kill a stupid hp bag that is also getting supported by the druid himself with both the druid and the pet trying to kill you, yea no chance lol
because quad amulets give lots of free stats, thats all
the reason you can get gems while farming casually is because there is a plenty of people out there who get gems and trade them into gold, thats why the exchange rate is relatively low at this moment

- Dragonhunter: nerf Purification considerably, with 16-17k in healing from other mechanics, DH does not need a 10k heal. DH also has a ridiculous amount of damage mitigation so you can’t make the argument that DH needs the healing like Druid. Onehanded symbols need a 10% dmg nerf. Test of Faith needs a cast time. traps need diminishing returns when placed on top of each other.

I wish I had that healing, test of faith needs warning message when you enter it ,something like “you should press V or use dodge button next time to successfully dodge a trap”.
You should practice more with your Thief/DD cause they have almost infinite amount of dodges.
DH actually needs a buff, Guardian also.

d/d condi build is great on thief, potent poison trait in DA gives crazy effeciency to your poisons, basically its +77% dps to poisons from a single trait
so if you are really dead set on boosting your condi DPS you should maximize your ability to apply poison through venoms and runes and you will see some really good numbers
looks better than most other pvp vids of this game tbh
mug shouldnt crit but it should be baseline for steal as well as some other trait-based steal bonuses
its embarassing how terrible steal is compared to mechanics of other classes if you dont dump half of your specialization trees into steal traits
that garbage season promotes match grind and unlike in s2/s3 bad players can easily reach legend by simply spamming matches
gw2 esports is embarassing, that reason alone is enough to shut it down

would be great if Anet took out d/p from Thief class and added it into a new class called daggerist-pistolier or something so they could finally start balancing Thief class based on its overall performance rather than a single weapon combination
ye druids are too good at 1v1 while also providing team utility
because of all the HoT dodge/block b/s treb needs to be unavoidable and unblockable everything else about it is fine as is
oh also its great when announcer yells as treb fires at your location but making his american soldier-ish voice lower would be nice
This is something we’ve been monitoring for a while. We’re looking at a couple of different options here, but we do need to be careful making changes to something that is so integral to PvP gameplay (and as a note, we’d be making changes to PvP only).
Below are some suggestions I’ve seen on this forum over the past few months. We wouldn’t do all of them of course, but I figured I’d throw them out and see how you folks feel about them.
- Implement 1-to-1 rally policy, similar to WvW. This means that only 1 player would rally per enemy killed, rather than up to 5. Would likely be the downed ally closest to the enemy player.
- Cap the range at which someone can rally.
- Bring back PvE-downstate policy
- Shorten revive/downed “invuln” buff.
- Reduce healing per tick when rezzing.
- Further reduce downstate HP
- Adjust outlier revive skills (Function Gyro)
removing the downed state is all that needs to be done, but i guess u guys need to find some job to do hence there are all these complications
downed state shouldnt exist in pvp altogether
