An account bag would be awesome to solve this problem and very usefull for pve and www too.

especially with all of the infinite use harvest tools and salvage kit,
it’d need to be pretty big though to fit all of the chest spam inside
agreed, its like everything except the meta has been left for dead, when was the last time you saw a warrior using maces? its all hambow or dual sword condi.

honestly? you didn’t foresee Anet buffing another AI spec?
give it time and i’m sure they’ll buff spirit weapons too so you can cross another AI crutch build off your list too!
ironically the only AI they seem to consistently nerf is the ranger pets,
which is the one AI that we’d expect to be decent since it is a mandatory mechanic for the entire class.
it does suck, and its the main reason people want something to be done,
and Anet could do something if they wanted to.
1. they could add a bank to the mists, but as people have said, this would make visits to the main cities fairly redundant, also there are far too many different chests to fit in a moderately full bank.
2. they could make the reward chest icon that appears at the end of the game less distracting, so you can simply ignore it until you log on an 80.
currently it keeps flashing and wobbling around like it has OCD.
3. they could scale the pvp reward chests to the highest character on your account.
so if your highest char is 60, you’ll get 60 loot.
it is a real drag having to log between 8 characters and port them all multiple times to and from the main city. (with ridiculously long loading screens despite having a powerful comp) all just to get a bunch of useless greens, sort it out Anet.
before the teleport stopping rush glitch was fixed, Fiery Rush was undoubtedly the highest burst in the game, it still is if you have a corner or wall to run in to.
but for for the less gimmicky ultimate burst it is probably an ele popping a whole bar of arcane skills while multiple skills land at the same time. (phoenix, flame tooth etc)
not very practical though
this isn’t a PvX issue,
in pvp any team would be blessed to have a healing power thief on the enemy team stealthing for the whole match lol
can’t remember how many times i’ve typed this,
the projectile from lich moves VERY slowly, just keep your distance and strafe until lich form ends,
or since you’re playing pistol just pop blind fields on them and auto attack lol.
might be time to dust off my old fire glass staff ele,

Turret engis are easy if you are not focused on fighting on the point. Back away, range and AoE them, lure them away from turrets if you can. When his turrets start getting low and going down, pop stab and go in for a burst.
also 2 of the turrets will be hitting you from 1500 and the engi will be hitting you from 1200, even the flame turret has a range of over 700 when traited,
and you better pray the haven’t traited for the reflect shields or the plan to stay away and spam ranged attack crumbles :P
i’m not sure its wise of us to help the easiest class in the game to better kill us, but here goes.
if he uses lich form, just keep your distance and strafe until it ends (Pin Down can help here), the projectile moves extremely slowly and it is VERY easy to strafe out of its way with even a small amount of distance.
but what would it do?
scepter already covers range skills daggers cover close up and staff covers ranged aoes.
the only thing left would be close range aoes.
i actually played a turret build yesterday and every game i’d just run to middle, chuck down turrets and the enemy had no chance!

kill a turret? it explodes blasting you off the point allow me to hold it/retake it.
don’t kill a turret? die in seconds from high pressure damage amidst the constant CCs.
people attempting to argue that its working as intended, ask yourself why you can’t start the stomp while in mist form or shrank.
if it were intended then you’d be able to start the stomp while using them, i just think they forgot to make those skills cancel stomping.
imho the should give them really short .25 sec cast times (which would cancel the stomp) so they can’t be exploited for godmode-stomping.
i’d be fine with this if they bring back 8v8 hotjoin and remove the hotjoin reward cap.
until then, everyone is forced into tournaments since 5v5 hotjoin is a failure and the reward cap just amplifies the issue.
but but but, think of all of the worthless greens you’ll be missing out on!
but in all seriousness i agree with you, the last patch actually removed more than it added for PVPers.
we lost a large part of our gold income (from crafting dyes)
we lost our ability to aim for armour sets (via crafting and vendors)
we lost our rank prestige (sooo many dragons)
we lost the ability to gain living world skins (which were in match win chests)
what did we get? pve loot with a reward cap, and more useless ascended mats to clog up the bank.
Like Carighan is pointing out in your “unbalanced situation” a direct damage (insert class) makes AR useless and far from as effective.
you can try to say that because a direct damage dealer isn’t effected by AR that it is somehow balanced,
but a trait (that was only a major, so very easy to pick up) which completely countered half of the builds in the game with no input required is OP no matter which way you look at it.
also in the pvp scene there are very few direct damage zerker builds currently,
the meta has been condi bunkers for awhile now.
direct damage glass cannons just die.
(hence why there was alot of noise about AR being OP, leading to its nerf)
taking purity and generosity runes gives you 2 conditions removed every 10 seconds (with decent crit chance) and since warriors will only really be doing burning and bleed then you should be able to keep the stacks from getting too high,
or if you’re a necro then let them stack their bleeds and then give them all back
i cant wait for them buff ele elementals and give warriors pets, so their complete and utter trolling of pvp will be complete,
maybe then they can stop trolling us and do their job.
i’ve been playing MMOs for over a decade now and i’ve pretty much tried them all.
and i can honestly say that GW1’s PVP was one of the most balanced and fun of them all.
(i played GW from day 1 right up until GW2 was released, 3 accounts, everything completed, black widow spider, rainbow phoenix, HoM, FoW armour, ectos by the hundreds. fantastic game!)
its night and day in comparison to GW2 which is without doubt one of the least balanced, least updated and least varying PVPs i have ever played.
that said the combat mechanics in GW2 are incredible, which just makes it so much worse since i can’t move on to a different game with better pvp since the combat mechanics just feel so outdated in those games.
its like a trap, the combat mechanics in GW2 will ruin all other MMOs for you, but the gameplay itself is hideously unbalanced and unsupported so you’ll hardly want to play.
what happened Anet?…what happened.

Rampage as One can be really handy vs a hammer warrior.
the general rule of thumb for beating hammer warrior as any class is stability
you could also try kiting and immobilizing them with muddy terrain.
because apparently they didn’t want race to be a factor…
which is hilarious when you consider that they’ve disabled the racials in pvp and also playing asura is far more advantageous in pvp than any racial you can possible think of.
i’d like for norn elites to have 2 min CDs
both can be great and both are pretty similar
(in that they are squishier damage dealers that need more practice than EZmode classes like warrior.)
i’d say thief is a bit easier to learn to play.
i havent witnessed this (as a pvper), warrior is still the easiest class and as such they are cancerous, spreading like a virus.

one of the most popular bunker engi builds at the moment uses turrets with the reflection shield trait, giving them alot of reflection uptime.
totally countering lich form since you’ll be damaging yourself.
if anet have any sense then strength runes will be nerfed soon or other runes will be buffed to equal them, so i’d go for gear first if i were you.
greatsword can be worked into builds, but rifle just doesn’t do anything in pvp.
the only attraction it has is Killshot but even that hits for far less than eviscerate and takes alot longer to build adrenaline.
its viable in wvw though were higher stats and foodbuffs are present.
when i see a MM i just Lich Form and wtfpown him before he can faceroll the keyboard. funny how they die so fast.
same, i love finding MMs on my power necro, pop locust swarm, wells and deathshroud 5+4 and watch the noob and their AI crutch melt so fast!
even if the mm moves out of the wells all of the minions will be dead which leaves a 1v1 between a noob with no utility skills and useless traits vs someone specced for fighting their own fights.

warrior is the easiest pvp profession and has been for over half a year now.
i can imagine how frustrated you’d be if you were playing a class like ranger or thief…
balance IS NOT subjective.
pre-nerf “Automated Response” for example which made an engie completely immune to conditions when they hit 25% hp was not subjectively OP. it meant the engie was practically unkillable for condition builds.
i’m not a fan of these thread that attempt to defend the dire state of balance by claiming that balance cannot be achieved,
i’m not sure how many MMOs you’ve played, but i’ve played plenty (including the first GW) which have had pretty great balance.
i’ll just add that of all of the MMOs i’ve played GW2 is both the least balanced and least updated of them all.
one of the reasons i love my warrior bunker is the 60%+ uptime retal without even doing anything XD
its funny when your passive regen outheals the enemies damage and they end up taking more damage than you do from retal XD
my 2 cents.
it is because of 5v5, it places greater responsibility on each of the players,
with 8v8 you could generally assume that there was enough people on each team who knew what to do, so the games ended up fairly close.
with 5v5 you might end up being the only person on your team who knows what to do, and if the enemy has 2 people who know what to do then the game goes one-sided since you can’t capture everything alone.
solution, bring back 8v8.

this is too long overdue.
in pvp i play this stoneheart conjure ele which i call “The Melee-ele” (just because its fun to say),
its mind-numbingly easy to play, just stick in earth attune and attack things XD
its best with auto target off for fiery greatsword rush
its fun having a hammer warrior run away from you as you chase them with your hammer XD
yeah a reward track would be a good idea, or offer them with final reward chest of tracks,
it could even get people interested into buying more keys
meanwhile warriors are spamming perma aoe burning and causing burning with every auto attack.
suddenly one 4 second burn to a single target on a 10 second cooldown seems trivial.
i do think we need a surrender button, the only problem is that it’d have to have some way of preventing exploits.
I.E 2 premades take it in turns to trade surrenders, or a premade sinc with 1-2 trolls to force the other team into surrendering for a quick cheap win.
i can’t think of a solution for this, since if you made the winning team get less points if they win via surrender then the losing team could surrender out of spite to stop the better team from getting their full points.
the only solution would be to add the surrender function and for anet to do a better job at banning bots and statpadders.
there are no real counters to Lich Form 7K crits, you can hide or nuke them and hope they die first, that’s it.
as a power necro i can say that the biggest counter is to simply strafe.
the auto attack moves extremely slowly so unless the necro is right on top of you just move left or right and it’ll miss.
or if you’re in pve/wvw you could go meteornado! XD
but generally its any fresh air setup

for power necros Lich form is GODLY, pewpewpew deathmachine.
for condi necros Plague is great, aoe condi spam!
for everyone else fleshgolem gives nice additional damage and CC (and also godly gate/treb killing with charge)
-first i would increase the dmg of the auto attack. ( 700 dmg with full power build is unbearable… )

i have a sniper build which i play for fun sometimes and it crits 2-3k from your autos, (6k after an interrupt).
note: this is not a serious build,
its just for having fun getting somewhere high and nuking people from 1500 :P
incase you’re interested: here it is
shoot them (to get in combat), swap weapon (giving you fury), activate quickness and 1 1 1 1 1 1 and enjoy the spam 3k crits all of the blank slots (and the last 10 trait points) on the build are optional for your preference.
also my favourite spot to sit is by joining blue team on Legacy of the Foefire and crossing the bridge just south of graveyard, that cliff is sniper heaven,
you can also shoot the gate from up there with eagle eye.

i play a power necro in pvp and it feels godly already,
giving us the ability to receive heals in deathshroud would be ridiculously OP.
we’d be unkillable.
And Rangers have 1500 range autoattack, Barrage which makes a cripple field, stealth, and a reliable range interrupt.
1. 1500 range is useless when you’re in a tight dungeon or pvp where standing on nodes is how you win.
2.stealth? you’re going to try to argue against thief by using stealth?
3. i’ll give you the interrupt and cripple, but thief has, immobilize and cripple without any CDs, and warrior gets an aoe blind and alot of might stacking from fire field.
don’t get me wrong, i like ranger, but they do need alot of work done to them if anet are going to keep telling us that they are the masters of bows when they’re so impractical compared to thief and warrior (for dungeons and pvp, wvw they are good for the range, but thats it)
the daily limit is per each reward track yes?
i think its added up regardless of tracks, so even if you split progression between many tracks you could still reach the cap without completing a single track reward.
my biggest issule is the removal of 8v8, i could play until 2 in the morning and still be able to join an 8v8, with the throttling down to 5v5 after even midnight you see pretty much all of those tiny matches turning into 2v3, or more often than anything 1v1 or 1v0…
GIVE US OUR 8V8 BACK!
Why is bringing boon strip not a better answer than nerfing might?
its not nerfing might, its nerfing these runes.
if you practice you can get key farming down to 14 minutes, about the time it takes for a ranked game, except its a guaranteed win each time :P
(also Executioner’s Axe is a must!)
also agreed, they’d never do this, i’m amazed that they let us still keyfarm,
but to offer them out for every tournament win would never happen.
(unless they bring something like tournament tickets back so you have to spend gems to enter tournaments.)
