Condi got buffed?
rune and sigils recieved buffs, balthazaars now makes burning last alot longer, nightmare gives frequent fear ticks, krait greatly imporves bleeding.
one giant buff is that they no longer need 2 agony sigils to increase bleeding by 20%, they get that from just 1 now so they can add an extra sigil too.
also several classes had condi buffs, warriors for example got a 10% attack speed increase with a new trait for s/s
and also Impale applies its torment stacks faster dealing more pressure.
Merchant will come after they remove Skyhammer from SoloQ.

too much of ritualist was split between the other classes.
guardian got weapon spells,
and ranger spirits+venom shares work like the old spirit weapons (imbued allies attacks for a certain number of attacks)
engineer kits could be compared to ashes. (different effects from different bundles)
turrets work like spirits.
GW2 is the least updated mmo I ever played, which makes me wonder how many employees they have
indeed, we should expect patches like the recent one atleast every 2 months,
and smaller balance updates biweekly too.
having to wait 6 months for a fairly standard mmo patch is just crazy.
Why are you using a hammer for key farming anyway? Use a great sword and do the hospital.

i like hammer, when it works it actually deals huge aoe damage with all of the power runes,
also i like orphanage because with hammer/staff you can kill pretty much everything from outside (through the walls) fairly quickly XD
orphanage/hospital are both as fast with those weapons imho,
its just a change of scenery if you key run alot.
and with Executioner Axe Toy i have freedom to try classes other than sword/warhorn warrior :P
i’ve got it down to 14 minutes as an axe/warhorn warrior, but agree, greatsword guardin is a fast killer too.
this is why we need a report function because lets face it having a guild team in soloq is exploiting.
the people who do this should get a stack of dishonorable (nothing as serious as account bans or anything, but getting blocked from tournaments for awhile will discourage them from syncing again.)
if people want to team, go to team queue!
Also the rewards are a laugh compared to PvE. People can be like ’it’s better than nothing’, but I want to be as much rewarded as a PvEr.

although we can now take some pve skins over to pvp that we couldn’t before, we lost our ability to aim for and craft specific armours and weapons and our ability to craft dyes from pvping to get alot of gold.
generally it feels alot less rewarding than before the patch.
people are still enthralled because there is flashy UI and they’re getting buried with reward chests (even if nothing inside those chests is of any value to a pvper)
i think this would be a great change, condis are way to spammable atm, if sacrificing a utility slot to remove a couple of conditions once in 60 seconds is going to remain our only counter to conditions then they we shouldn’t end up with a giant stack due to afew seconds of auto attacks.
now if they made armour and damage reduction effects (like protection) effect conditions then we’d have less of a problem, but currently they’re armour ignoring and far too spammable

and nope you don’t get protection or do any damage with it,
so it totally neuters the entire weapon.
i can’t figure out how a bug for an auto attack has been around so long!
surely this is something that should be fixed quickly.
while using hammer as a guardian the third hit in your auto attack chain summons a Symbol of Protection beneath your target, but its currently bugged so that if you’re on a platform or a higher floor in a building it will create the symbol on the lower level floor! (IE downstairs/beneath the platform)
you can see this in the human story quests:
during On The Mend when you go upstairs.
during Desperate Medicine while fighting twitchy jake on his platform.
during Infiltration while fighting the gate guard.
and during Arson at the Orphanage you can actually fight big-nose ted on the stairs to see the symbol appearing on the bottom level.
i’m not sure if this is a bug with the skill or with the maps, but you can place the other symbols in the same places and they will spawn correctly.

Someone called my thief useless once when I had triple his score. I called him out on the score part.
general rule, the people with the top “personal scores” are usually the most useless.
the guys holding points for an entire game with 10-30 points are the real winners,
all you zerglings mindlessly fighting off point with your 200+ personal score are indeed useless.
bringing up your personal score probably made him laugh his butt off.
In the rare case of a 500-500 score, personal score decides the winner. How would you replace what decides the winner?
I agree though personal score has little meaning and should explained either at part of the tutorial PvP area or some how through Hot-join.
Until personal score is completely irrelevant we have nothing to decide the outcome of a 500-500 match at the moment.
well then simply don’t show the personal scores? even if they’re still active in the background for those extremely rare 500-500s.
at the end of the game it should simply show the rank points that each team are getting for the win and the loss to encourage players to aim to win.

when someone is applying condis with their auto attacks taking 1-2 extra long cooldown condition removal skills does nothing.
after 5 seconds of removing conditions you have them all back again.
i wish more people would play diamond skin ele to discourage the condi meta
hotjoin seems to be the place were most players think that personal score = win.
i’d hope most people in tournaments know better.
imho they should get rid of personal score completely
its impossible to make a legendary from pvp alone unfortunately,
you need world completion for every legendary, you also need things like bloodstone shards which cost 200 skill points which are alot quicker to get in pve than pvp.
so currently there isn’t much you can do with your rewards if you’re a pvper.
hopefully they’ll add some sort of sink for the (currently worthless to most of us) ascended materials.
Design an OP class against noobs who don’t know what is a dodge button and surely eat all the obvious telegraphed attacks in the face. Yes warrior is indeed overpowered for those people.

the issue is that strength runes are just to powerful.
they greatly lengthen a boon that increases your damage and also increases your damage while you have that damage increasing boon,
it was obviously going to be the damage dealers rune of choice.
add that to the fact that sigil of strength now only has a 1 second cooldown and a 50% trigger chance, you can permanently keep up multiple stacks.
imho they could remove the “deal 7% more damage when you have might” and it would still be a viable dps contender.

It’s odd how people are so quick to dismiss what the OP is trying to say by belittling his capabilities. This by the very same people who also claim that the warrior is easy to play.
personally i think they’re trolling or its fake, we all play the game, we all know of the damage, sustainability and cc that warrior has, it is op.
so there really is no explanation how anyone could lose 500-0 with 3 of them unless that person has never played a game before and doesn’t even know how to move their character.
recently my favourite moment has been playing longbow power ranger with eagle eye on foefire, joining blue team and sit on the cliff camping their base exits, its like fish in a barrel, they come out one by one and die
i even get angry “camper!” messages like you’d get in an fps lol.

4v5 is possible, but if the enemy team has a good setup and is a guild then it probably will just save your time to let them win it fast.

if you have a good setup guild group and you end up against a random pug of 5, or a badly setup guild group then go ahead, this is Buildwars you’ll probably win even with 4.

i’m on 16gb of ram (running everything maxed) and heres how long it takes to transfer like that…
porting to main city, 15 second loading screen.
putting chests in the bank, 10 seconds.
relogging on an 80 (likely in the mists), 20 seconds for logging in and loading mists.

getting chests out of bank and opening, 10 seconds.
relogging on alt and loading in the mists, 20 seconds.
1:30 wasted time,
the only way this would be ok is if they added a banker to the mists and they won’t.
or just don’t click the chests and have the little icon flashing and wobbling around like it suffers from ADHD? so distracting!

i’m glad i wasn’t the only one feeling extremely let down by the patch:
after the 6 month wait we got:
the removal of dye crafting, neutering our income.
the removal of armour crafting, removing our customization.
the removal of 8v8 hotjoin, not everyones favourite, but it was mine.
the removal of one of our few maps.
very few meta builds looked at, several meta builds buffed further (condi war)
a cap on progression for hotjoins FORCING casuals and newbies into tournaments.
over all the few things that Anet did right (the pvp UI, afew new traits, wardrobe, account bound dyes etc) are greatly overshadowed by the large number of obviously bad moves that they made for whatever reason.
it does suck that the people carrying a team are the ones who get rewarded the least, but its hard to think of a solution.
if they added points for the amount of time spent on a node that would reward the mid zerkers even more.
i can’t think of a solution to reward a capper/defended without further rewarding the zerkers.
axe is just too weak, skill 2 is ok but after you’ve used that you’re stuck with the weak autos
as a pvp power necro i think it would be ridiculously OP if we could heal up while in deathshroud,
deathshroud is already pretty unbreakable for me while swarm is ticking since the crits grant life force, to think that i’d be constantly getting healed during that is just ridiculously OP.
with the right spec you can bunker in deathshroud until your heal comes off cooldown.
my power necro build is already extremely powerful and extremely easy,
letting us heal while in deathshroud would just be godmode.
agreed with this, every review i read or review video i watch they always get to the end and say something like “wait…thats it?…dam.”
it just seems like they had really cool ideas and just aborted them,
someone even found a way to explore the arah map and found an arena-like room which seems perfect for a final boss battle so its very likely that once zhaitan is shot down you were supposed to pursue him to the ground for a final battle.
As an ele, the only I win button is using all of your skills in perfect sequence and successfully land each and every one. Only then, if you’re the better player, you will win.

a better analogy would be your farm having only a one-legged chicken (ugly bathazaar backpack) and your neighbours farm being given a whole herd of cows, flock of sheep and brood of chickens. (ascended skins, legendaries, and dozens of other skins and backpacks that aren’t available in pvp)

since this whole shift from glory to pve loot is to try to bridge the gap between WvW, PvE and PvP we should have the option to focus on levelling.
tomes of knowledge in the current dungeon/region tracks are far to spread out to make it a viable method for levelling, especially compared to the zergfest of xp that WvW offers or the super speedy crafting levelling of pve.
Warriors are the best class in PvE as well. Maybe shaving isn’t the best option anymore. How long does the class have to dominate for something to happen?
Warriors have continuously been nerfed. Hammer. Longbow. Healing signet. All have been nerfed. There’s still some tuning to be done but they can’t do it all in one huge chunk. It takes time.

try a terrormancer with minions, true hatred
they don’t just allow it, they encourage it, they increased the rank points that you earn in custom arenas so you get more than in hotjoins
CnD is still really good for any thieves specced heavily in to stealth traits.
with the healing and regen traits you can pretty much reset the fight on demand since you can reliably restealth over and over forever
if cnd did decent damage it would be hilariously OP since you can just keep using it the instant you reappear, its more of a very potent utility skill than a damage skill.

i think it has something to do with NPCs keeping you in combat if you’ve hit them (or they’ve hit you) and since there are alot more MMs you’ll be seeing this more often.

I normally don’t agree with the “Asura Advantage” but this is pretty clear cut and needs addressing.

they have a clear advantage for everything except a mesmer that wants to spam clones.
even if you somehow tried to argue that their animations are no less harder to read than the other classes,
try predicting the animations of a 2ft tall midget standing inside a clump of minions.
or 1000+ range, you can still easily see what a norn is doing, at those ranges the asura is just a wiggly blob.
ah well atleast the skin unlocked and they seem to be quite generous with transmutation charges

one thing i feel Anet are missing out on is announcer packs.

i think the stuns are ok, its a cc weapon, the problem is that you can spec to deal a huge amount of damage with it while maintaining the high passive healing of a bunker.
imho the damage should be drastically lowered but the cc should stay.
a cool idea would be to make it a channel skill like the scepter lightning auto attack but with “splash” damage/healing (watery pun very much intended)
so it would constantly aoe heal and damage while channelled,
obviously the damage would be lower than fireball,
but the synergy with traits that work with channelled skills could make the skill quite attractive
it would also let the ele tag enemies in pve while still being able to focus on healing.
now that pvp loot is scaling with our pve level it isn’t very clever to open any chests you earn while you’re playing on low level alts, so its best to ignore the chests until you log to your 80 but the problem here is the chest icon will never stop twitching and flashing like it suffers from ADHD.
could we get a way to make it settle, or even hide it completely?

i really hope this is just a rumour, gemstore finishers are always better than rank finishers, and dragon is a particularly disappointing example,
