LumAnth, what pants are you wearing in the second shot? I have a guild mesmer that is desperate for a pants outfit rather than concealing robes.
It’s human cultural pants tier 2.
Sorry for late response.
It has a but cape :-)

Ok. It seems that not a lot of people care about it which I find to be quite surprising.
I hope this attachment I made would be convincing enough to make people understand how significant this problem is. Please check it out.
LOL that was amazing

My Mesmer wears more of a “battle mage” type of armor (1st pic). It’s not Mesmer~like or elegant at all, he looks more like an Elementalist if you ask me!
So I had to make a new set for him (this would be his Berserker’s set) that only Mesmers would wear (2nd pic)

Id like a phantom that reappears every time enemies kill it.
Recurring Insecurity (yay gw1 reference skill)
Summons a phantasm that dazes the enemies near the target for 1 second. When killed, the phantasm respawns. Respawns only 3 times. Does not get affected by shatters. (has its own clone counter)
Uses ability every 4s
Phantasm disappears if target dies (much like other phantasms) and does not respawn.
Recharge- idk
Should affected by illusion celerity.

I like the living story right now :-). I didn’t play the 2nd or 3rd part of flame and frost though, because that was just to strung out.
Anyway Southsun let everyone casual or hard core, have a chance at *both*of the coolest back items I have ever seen.
Now would you rather obtain it from some ridiculous dungeon/one time meta event?
As much as I hate (or like it) GW2 will be my permanent home, much like GW1 back in the day.
I remember taking a “vacation” from gw1 to play aion (more like a 2~3 year vacation) and realized that those games weren’t for me.
Now to be all honest, if GW2 were named something completely different, then I would have left long ago. ButI had hopes in gw1, and it became successful and fun (for me) for a LOT of years. Here’s hoping the younger brother will do the same"!

Hopefully, they will add more weapon skills (maybe 1 set of new skills every weapon excluding auto attack) and would act like utilities, only allowing change when out of combat.
This way it.would diversify a lot of builds, create new ones, and be a lot like it’s older brother gw1
Anyway they said fewer skills = less to balance too :-)

Canthan dragon festival I love Cantha so much and will embrace this event as.much as I can.

I constantly switch out offhands and staff vs Greatsword. Mostly because sometimes the bounce on staff is more harmful than a direct beam (can aggro other things) also the push is good too. I use sword/sword when I’m feeling tough and tanky. I switch to focus as well because the traited warden + temporal (and pull) is very good. Then switch to torch when I need stealth (like through mobs in CM and portal bombs). I only use pistol when I want to be a full berserker shatter mesmerized. I stopped switching to sceptre because I find little use for it

What’s really annoying (and I hope they will fix it soon) is that the golem takes a LOT longer to get out out of combat and start to regenerate
I’m usually typing on my phone
Not to sound like a rude veteran but…
This was done in Factions (gw1) that parodied demons from the Realm of Torment. This was, of course, after the real nightfall invasion that started the Dragon Festival.
After the initial “invasion” (with the real Fury and all that..) the npcs in Factions had “hired” actors to replay the events. This would lead to the actors having the same name (and skills I think) of the original demons that invaded.
Long story short: demons came, failed, npcs hire actors to parody them
Pssssshhhh…. Gw2 newcomers.. lol

The ranger pet, Black Widow, STILL has the vitality bug, and has a lot less Vitality than other spiders.
This was overlooked on the bug patch about fixing pets, could you please fix this pet?
This is a 30 point HoM pet, and should at least deserve some attention.

Probably just tostay consistent. Any type of riders (and even irukandji) did this levitation trick back in Guild Wars 1. It actually shocked me as they have retconned a lot of other things…

Huh, I’ve been using this as it was intended and had absolutely no idea that it had infinite range.
Maybe if you actually use the skill as it was meant to be, and NOT relying on a broken mechanic, than you would be in a better place.

Well I run inspiration glamour traits ( longer glamour + shorter cd). The problems with being in an organised guild is that I’m stuck as a veil/portal mesmer, with feedback taking the last slot.
I get really tired of being a glamour bot sometimes, so when I don’t wanna be one, i play my thief.

Why are you people still angry about this?!
Yes, I was very peeved that, when I first bought it it downright sucked.
But now I see a GREAT improvement and people still complain?? Have you even bought this?
As a non-Warrior/Guardian player, this was an unexpected (and very welcome!) change to my Mesmer!!
It’s now very unique! You don’t get to see Adventurer/Scholar classes really use the hammer animation anyway, unless they use Lightning Hammer.
I love it A-net, and thank you very much for listening to your community!

Human Male thief. I know awkward that I didn’t make a female right?
Actually in GW1 my Assassin was my secondary main (main being a Mesmer).
He was a THOUSAND times more spoiled then my primary main. He had obsidian + chaos gloves and Margonite tonic on him. My Mesmer had.. Primeval lol.
Just passing on my assassin’s tradition. My thief now has t3 while my Mesmer (who is my main again) is rocking some somewhat cheap armor combinations.
Curse you thieves!!

I have more hope on the balance part.
Better balanced thief or better (an complete overhold ^^)
I sense…your Thief hate…it only feeds my stalking of WvW.
I don’t even mind thieves stalking, I mind when they don’t have the balls to finish a fight. I got in five different 1v1s with thieves during my WvW time yesterday, spanked every one of them, and every single one stealthed away rather than taking their loss like a man. Though I guess kill credit from a bloody coward shouldn’t be worth much anyway.
Thieves… masters of psychological warfare… they are winning. The more you are bothered by it, the more they win =D
Whether they died, or ran away, either way it is all the same to me, I still won.
Not having a pair = The greatest loss there is
Try telling that to the military who will try for a retreat if they are in a losing battle.
They are not being cowards for running from a losing battle, they are using common sense and using what they have to live to fight another day.As long as you are bothered by it, they win. If they run away from you, you have won, remember that.
Inapplicable. Not real life, not a battle, it’s a game. If a football player won’t play his best for his team because he’s afraid of getting hit or losing, he’s a coward.
By that logic though we would the QB give the ball to anyone else and not just take the hit when he knew he was going to get hit? He wants to win even at the cost of his self. Thieves want to win so bad sometimes they don’t think before they start a fight.
QB does whatever he thinks is most likely to gain yardage or score a point, sometimes that means taking a hit and sometimes it means handing off to someone else. It never means quitting the field.
WvW or PvP isn’t a sport, it is battle, so my example still stand, dieing does zero good for the team. Running away does more good for the team, then just staying there knowing you are going to die. If one dies, then other team members have to quit doing battle to rez you, or you have to rez some where else and run back to battle, and this is worse for the team then running away. Run away, and the time needed to get back into battle and being more useful for the team is far less then waiting for a rez or having to run back into battle.
As long as anybody running away bothers you, then they are winning, you are more likely to make more mistakes if you are being bothered by something.
Anyways, hoping the next patch makes the open world even more rewarding.
I’m so sorry, I should have though of all the people who have died in those terrible battles. We’ll never see them again, a moment of silence…
Oh wait, it’s fantasy, meant to be an enjoyable pastime, there’s a respawn rate, and it’s a game. If you take it so seriously, that’s your problem, not the games, or mine, or that of the remainder of the playerbase who see it for what it is and treats it as such. The rest of us just want to have fun, and it is no fun to see one enemy after another run away like a pig-tailed little girl because the game mode has been designed to discourage any interaction where you don’t have a massive advantage over your opponent.
The mode as it is now would be the equivalent of all NFL teams refusing to play anyone but college teams, because they have a chance of losing against a fellow professional team, and we can’t have that now can we? The game mode is still fun, obviously I think so since I play it, but it needs improvement, and ignoring the good and fun play habits which it discourages isn’t going to help anybody.
Seems to be your the one that is taking it a bit to serious. You know what else “pig-tailed little girl”s do? They QQ about a player, in a game, running away. LMAO
lol stole the word right off my keyboard.
I have a thief. I don’t care much about them. (I main Mesmer). My thief is in yellows and all I do is steal boons/give boons with traits like Thrill of the Crime. If I’m in a pretty nasty mood… I harass a zerg (or a group/roamer) using stealth to ""troll" them, by constantly retreating and engaging. It’s especially fun when I target some fellow with Basilisk Venom and laugh at them.
Anyway back on topic. I’m glad they are fixing bugs hopefully they fix the ones where broken traits are usable.

Actually almost no MMO offers housing. Everquest II and …. not much else.
Most of them say they will pre-launch and then fail to deliver…
Its really disappointing. I’m with the OP on wanting housing, but I don’t think we should claim its a common feature when it isn’t.
We have a home instance which is more than most. But its still a sadly underused feature…
I’m sure I’m not alone in being the sort who would glady buy loot off the gem store to decorate my home instance for… no rational reason at all… other than to do it.
I remember being so excited on launch day when I saw the human home instance the first time. I ran up three floors of one little house in there thinking of what I’d be able to decorate it with “soon.” Then reality checked myself and remembered no such feature had ever been promised.
To be honest, Aion has housing and I think it’s one of their only strong points there.
Don’t get me wrong. On the contrary I advise you NOT to try Aion as I have wasted 2~3 years of my life on that treadmill of a game.
But away… Back on topic, I really like how Aion did their housing.

I think they are the best looking race.
And that I used to play gw1
Sylvari can be sexy, but they are very “child like” (I do have a female elementalist Sylvari though) and that they don’t have as much options (face, hair, body scale) as humans.
Charr are cats and cats are cute. I am a cat person. Although I REALLY wanted to make an ele Charr but I picked Sylvari.
Norn, no thanks. A little too masculine for both male and Female.
Asura are cool (I like their snarky I’m smarter than you attitude) but I don’t want to play them. Limited options and very few good choices.

Wahhh it takes ~2 hits to kill an illusion. Seriously. I’ve known about this “bug” for a long time.
I run this in my main build, believe it or not and I slot Phantasmal Defender along with the signet to get full effect.
Yup that’s 2 utilities already used to make myself and other illusions a bit tougher. Or I could just switch both utilities out and slot in mirror images for shatter and glamours in WvW. Because lets face it. In WvW, a phantasm mesmer is almost useless. I know, because I play one as my main.
Unless you really think that 3 tough illusionsis more powerful than a stealth curtain

Oh come on… Pretty much all that got nerfed is just confusion and a couple of highly specialized confusion heavy builds.
Phantasm and Shatter are pretty much untouched and those are basically the main builds we use anyway.
The only annoying thing about this update is that iZerker bug is still here.
Honestly, I actually think that we got relatively stronger now, Thieves, Eles and Engineers all got quite a few painful nerfbats in their face, so we will have easier time with those too.
So you’re saying Phantasm and Shatter build are the “go~to” builds?
Build diversity is a good thing.
Would you rather see mesmer and their mother go Shatter?
This is one less build for the Mesmer. Now everyone is gonna go running to shatter/phantasm builds and guess what?… People will complain… [X] get’s nerfed, one less build to play with again.
It’s like a cycle.
PS: I was a phantasm tank build, but I did have rabid gear for anytime I wanted to confusion bomb. I had 3 builds, glamour confusion, phantasm, and shatter. Let’s make that 1 less build

Hey FireBat – Thanks for the update! Let’s start simple; I would like for you to navigate to Documents\Guild Wars 2 and delete the local.dat file. Next, please try the following to repair your Guild Wars 2 installation:
1. Navigate to your Guild Wars 2 installation folder.
2. Right-click on “GW2.exe” and select “Create Shortcut.”
3. Rename this shortcut to “Guild Wars 2 Repair.”
4. Right-click on this shortcut and select “Properties.”
5. Edit the “Target” line to include -repair at the end.Note: Please make sure -repair is outside of the quotes
Correctly Formatted Example: “C:\Games\Guild Wars 2\GW2.exe” -repair
Incorrectly Formatted Example: “C:\Games\Guild Wars 2\GW2.exe -repair”6. Once completed, click “Ok” to save your changes.
If you get an error trying to save, your target line may not have the correct format. Please try step 5 again.
7. Right-click “Guild Wars 2 Repair” and select “Run as Administrator.”
Allow the repair to run and once completed, “Right-click” “GW2.exe” or your Guild Wars 2 Shortcut and select “Run as Administrator.”
Once completed, please try starting Guild Wars 2 again.

The WvW Ranking system isn’t gear progression, but it felt like progression (in a good way) to me.
Not only do they change my name from Invader→Assaulter etc… and see my rank, but I can also purchase some skills that would make me better (in a small amount~ish) in only WvW . I like the fact that the progression just affects one area, and not the entire game.

Whose smart idea was it to make them psuedo MM’s from GW1?
They took away the main thing the profession relied on, punishment.
You do something, you get punished. (Backfire, Diversion, Empathy and even interrupts)
In GW2, it’s like the only form of punishments are confusion and not killing clones before they blow up.
