Also the Asura capital, Rata Sum, is a giant floating cube filled with robot servants.
Enough said.
I think that the Human personal story is best
Peter Fries (one of the GW2 writers) said that in his opinion Charr and Asura have the strongest writing.
The awesomeness of Asura animations make them more enjoyable to play than other races.
Also, if you’re not an Asura, you’re a bookah, and who wants to be a bookah?
Only Mesmers should be able to use their portal imo.
You chose to be a bookah, you live with being a bookah.
Regards,
The Asura
The number one retention mechanism in MMO’s is the social aspect. People play because their friends play. By encouraging people to run with people they know and not with random pugs you are encouraging people to form stronger bonds in game, and thus they are more likely to continue playing.
From the chest offer some guild influence, coin, and a chance of dropping gear.
Just in case some of you have missed it (it is a bit up in this thread):
Fixed the link.
(Post is pushed to page/2 due to deletions.)
The community team need to spend less time on PR infodumps and more time interacting with the playerbase.
OP is a bookah.
1) Remove repairs from WvW
2) Remove gold rewards and replace it with a WvW currency for upgrades and siege equipment. No one makes gold, no one loses gold.
ANet loses $$$
Can’t sell gems when you got no players.

This isn’t an exploit or a bug.
How about we keep one time events, but we put them on at 4am Monday US time.
Still sound appealing?
I suggest that Arenanet either;
b) make it so that this damages the door.
And within 5 minutes people will be transfering to opposing servers to cata down doors from inside the keep while invulnerable to attack.
I’m fine with one-time events. In fact I’d like to see more of them. I know it sucks if you can’t make it, but that’s life…
For some reason I doubt you’d have the same opinion if the event started at 5am GMT on a Monday.
Should be a rare drop from Dolyaks.
Make it happen ArenaNet.
This was ArenaNet’s official statement on WvW “nightcapping”:
We feel that everyone should have the ability to contribute no matter what time of the day it is. How we’ve came to this conclusion is that no player’s time is more valuable than another. Everyone has different off peak hours for whatever reason. Players should not be punished or unable to experience and view the same content as everyone else because they play at a different time. They too are paying customers.
Sadly they seem to have forgotten this philosophy already…
*Offer only valid in United States and Europe.
It’s a problem with the armor.
Report it here:

TG put a lot of effort into SF WvW. They are about the only guild/commanders that would be out there just as strong when we were losing as when we were wining.
Sounds like you guys would fit right in on Isle Of Janthir.
Scorpion Wire range buff is going to be rather OP in WvW.
Can’t believe that didn’t make changes to our laughably bad downed abilities.
All they did was fix minor bugs instead of the gamebreaking ones, and nerfed one of the few viable builds the class has in PVP (meanwhile I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone complain of OP engineers….).
VERY disappointed.
Singling a human out for being an idiot is like singling out a cake for being delicious, when we know that ALL cakes are delicious.
Regards,
The Asura.
Outmanned buff on EB.
I solo cap pang, build a ram at veloka.
The door gets half way when I am joined by 2 others.
We finally go to the lord, and while killing him, we get the warning.
We kill him, jump in the circle and are immediately ported to LA before progress can even reach 1/4.
You give AFK’ing players in LA a 3 minute warning before a restart, yet in WvW we get 20 seconds?
This is not acceptable.
Map your #1 key to a middle mouse click if possible. It’s what I did and works great for throwing grenades while moving against moving targets.
I only just now realised how painful it must be for people that have to use WASD and spam 1 at the same time.
I don’t know what I’d do without my movement thumbstick
Still having probs? The rifle turret is fantastic for holding mobs attention while you damage away.
If you’re using your turret solely as a tank, Thumper turret has a LOT more health.
Actually RED has unfair advantage in EB.
1. You can build treb which hit: all towers in your area (north) and SM by building TREBs in overlook.
2. TREB in overlook can only be countered from: ANZ HILL (reachable by mortar), and all reds north tower except ANZ.
3. Pangloss is the hardest supply camp to be taken (actually).
4. Has the shortest supply line to the overlook/keep (pangloss) and its easy to defense.
5. Overlook is the hardest keep in EB to be taken. (inner keep in high ground)
Red is the lowest ranked server, so it gets a map advantage .
It’s not rocket science.
5000 posts and no reply from ArenaNet makes me sad.
equip
a
kit
equikittent
Go to WvW, equip any kit and repair a door/wall.
When the animation starts, drop your kit.
You’ll then be using your rifle/pistol as a hammer.
:P
OMG why would you want to look like Teyo? She’s such a jerk! :P
Trebs definitely do.
Arrow carts and Balistas I very much doubt.
It would be nice to have an official post on the subject… :P
I was checking it out last night and in EB, Durios is placed much too close to SM castle. It can be trebbed from unreachable SM positions so in essence whoever owns SM owns Durios on demand.
You can treb Anzalias, Wildcreek, Quentin, Kloven and Durios from the upper platforms of SM.
The only near tower that is safe from an unreachable SM treb is Ogrewatch.
The answer to any problem is always pie:
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Food#On_Critical
So does " -useoldlauncher" actually work?
Not any more.
DO NOT WANT
I understand there are issues with some players needing a carrot to chase, but a gear treadmill isn’t the answer.
Well, we die or bow down to our new golem overlords :/
So um… just looked at the thread title. Who does Day/Month format?! lol :P
The entire world except for the US…..
The entire puzzle should have siege deployment blocked.
Siege equipment not only takes things too far, it also makes the puzzle’s built in anti-player weapons redundant, thus circumventing and ruining the original design intent of the WvW jump puzzle.
Also, OP being infracted for having an opinion while people’s rude replies are tolerated is not only vexing, but also quite disappointing.

Scaling door/wall HP to the number of nearby enemy players would reduce the effectiveness of zerg tactics.
For a game with a design goal of being co-operative and inclusive, it seems to have been forgotten by the live events team.
Please don’t turn Guild Wars 2 into a game where anyone not from the US or EU is a second class citizen. This isn’t a timezone issue, it’s a design issue.
Engineer is based on Charr lore, not Asura.
Elementalist or Mesmer are probably the best fits lore-wise.
The more I think about it, the more I think that this is a big issue.
Since listings never expire, it means that instead of an active market, the trading post has become a stockpile. As a result supply on many items is exceeding demand and prices are rock bottom accordingly.
Crafting is probably the best example. People craft to level their disciplines and throw what they make on the Trading Post. It then sits there (effectively) forever, permanently forcing new listings lower and lower.
This leads to a situation where it is very difficult to make a profit crafting, thus making crafting disciplines redundant or worthless.
So, agree or disagree?
Since Colin is here, and since they didn’t ask any WvW questions:
I know you can’t give specific answers for obvious reasons, but will we be seeing any fundamental changes to WvW in the November update?
(other than the orb bonus removal)
I would really love to see Grenades’ “1 skill” to actually be a targeted auto-attack. The rest of the skills can be ground-targeted, just like the Necromancer’s Staff skills. It would really improve movement while using grenades – and that’s what this game is all about.
I used to think that way, then I realised that single target should be a job for Rifle.
Unfortunately Rifle is a melee weapon…
I suggest an 80ft statue of Snaff, surrounded by burning effigies of Logan Thackeray.
Edit:
With the words “Never trust a bookah” around the base.
(edited by Moderator)
I’d say a modified base 8 system.
Fingers would count to 8, toes would be used for counting how many 8’s you have.
48 would be the equivalent of 100.
