I noticed that post processing is a mesmer spell.
I put it on high to give me the illusion that the game becomes more graphically beautiful and enjoyable, but the truth is that it makes everything blurry and reduces my fps.

I love elementalists, engineers and necromancers.
I find warriors extremely boring but I have a retired one at max level simply because I need to have a warrior.

If you take the time to look around, you’ll find that there are a ton of npcs wearing armour that players do not have access to.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T6zkT2uZAGA – GW2 – A world of wonder
I’d recommend you to check out the personal story of every race, every branch and all of the orders up ontil the battle for Claw Island.
Perhaps go for world exploration. Even if you have map completion already, there are a ton of hidden things out in the world.
Maybe try some of the dungeons.
But as far as getting the most out of your money, I’d strongly recommend you to stop playing right now if you don’t feel like it.
Perhaps you will get interested in the game later on and have more fun, but if you burn yourself out simply because you feel you need to, then you won’t get as much enjoyment out of the game as you could in the long run.

In 2014 for 1600 gems, yes.
I’d still pay for that.

I don’t think you will ever find an MMO that has all zones fully populated at all times, especially not a year or later after it has launched.
ArenaNet is activly working on making all of the content as rewarding as possible, which is impossible.
Beside that, I see people everywhere I go so it may just be your server.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T6zkT2uZAGA – GW2 – A world of wonder
My interest comes in peaks and valleys, and recently it has died down a lot and I barely play at the moment.
What keeps me interested in an MMO is the feeling of the game moving forward, and I don’t feel that the game is moving forward at the moment. There is no story evolving and the content is disjointed – nothing is a continuation of a previous update, just a completely new update.
What keeps me playing on the other hand is PvP, general gameplay and visual costumization.
I would PvP a lot but there is only one mode and it gets so boring after a while.
Being able to quickly switch armour would be a huge feature for me. I am a skin collector and if I could just switch between sets I would have a lot more to do.
I love being able to switch armour sets and adjust my look to the zone, even if it’s just for walking around.
Items that turn me into other races are also exciting to me. I was crazy about the Watchknight Tonikittenil(why is “tonic + until” cencored?) I found out about the cooldown. And I would go for the Infinite Molten Berserker Tonic, but you can’t use it in combat.
I would also have a lot more to go for if we weren’t restricted to one armour type, or if we could hide more of our clothes.

I had two recently.
1. When I saw the model of the Twisted Nightmare.
The fact that the devs took the time to create a new unique model with new animations meant a lot to me.
In fact, the Twisted Nightmare has some of the most impressive animations I have ever seen in a game.
2. When I got the Infinite Watchknight tonic. Then I found out about the cooldown…

I’ve been playing since launch and I never knew this, lol.
It’s not too much of a problem when you can have more than one name.
If we could only have one name then it would definitely be a problem.
Knowing that I am the only one with my names…. sweet.

Perhaps you have your render sampling at subsample.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T6zkT2uZAGA – GW2 – A world of wonder
You’ve made a great poll, but you may want to allow people to put multiple answers in some of the questions.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T6zkT2uZAGA – GW2 – A world of wonder
1. Content rush – I really enjoy having new content come out every 2 weeks.
2. Gear rush – You don’t “get ascended gear now”. It’s been out since November last year, and there is no need to have it. And the legendary gear/new weapons will have the same stats as ascended items.
3. Killing game variety – Skill>gear in this game.
I play mostly greens/yellows/oranges and I never have any problems. If you know how to play your profession properly then you don’t need best-in-slot gear.
And this is coming from someone who doesn’t do “builds”. I pick the traits and abilities I enjoy.
4. Achievement rush – Achievements are GWII’s equivalent of likes on Facebook. No matter how many you have, it doesn’t make you any better.
The only times where I bother with achievements are when they give rewards that I like – the Watchknight tonic is the only one so far I have liked, except of course the achievement skins, which I actually find quite dull.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T6zkT2uZAGA – GW2 – A world of wonder
“Endgame” is a ridicolously overused word that has its own meaning to everyone.
To me, “endgame” is what I can play and have fun with after reaching max level – which in GWII is almost exactly the same as what I do when I level up.
But most people who play MMOs have a specific definition of endgame: gear treadmill, dungeons and raids. Nothing else.
GWII would keep me playing a lot more if there were more modes in sPvP.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T6zkT2uZAGA – GW2 – A world of wonder
There is not really anything you can do.
The targeting system is pretty horrible.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T6zkT2uZAGA – GW2 – A world of wonder
1. Azeroth was irrelevant when Blizzard made the first expansion to WoW which was called “The Burning Crusade” which took place on another planet. Azeroth was irrelevant and the subs grew.
2. “Wrath of the Lich King”, “Cataclysm” AND “Mists of Pandaria” have all taken place in Azeroth.
3. Subs went down when Blizzard reduced the difficulty and gave everyone the ability to get to the level of hardcore raiders simply by waving their hands, completely taking away the journey from the game.
4. There will always be empty zones.
5. If you get into an MMO a year after launch and expect to see a ton of people in low level zones you will always be dissapointed. People have reached max level and are playing the end game.
6.You clearly haven’t played this game for very long. This game has one of the most living worlds in any MMO ever, as far as I’m concerned.
7. ArenaNet is activly working on making the entire world rewarding even after reaching max level.
8. I’d recommend you to find another genre of games to play. MMOs clearly aren’t your thing.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T6zkT2uZAGA – GW2 – A world of wonder
Hello.
First of all I would like to apologize if this seems like a rage/whine thread, but I have noticed a pattern in how ArenaNet designs armour and I would like to ask for a change.
The issues of armour clipping have been brought up almost every day since launch, and ArenaNet’s answer has been that making armour fit with charr and, well, just every other race than human, is not a priority for them.
However, for almost every armour set they make they create completely different sets for male and female characters.
They take the time to make the male armour cover up pretty much the whole body, while making the female version… let’s just call it “revealing”.
They don’t “adjust” armour to both genders, they design completely different sets.
Of course this isn’t for every set, but it still happens with quite a lot of armour sets.
So I would like to ask ArenaNet to stop making completely different armour sets for male and female characters, and focus on making the set work properly with most races instead.
Of course I cannot speak for everyone, but I personally prefer having one really good looking armour set rather than having multiple sets that don’t look like they had much effort put into them.
Thanks for reading.

Gotta love the names they pick.
Omnomberries, bauble baubles, wupwup weapon chest. Makes me smile every time.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T6zkT2uZAGA – GW2 – A world of wonder
If you want traditional raids then find another game.
However, if you like open world single boss fights with 80+ people, then you are in for a treat.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T6zkT2uZAGA – GW2 – A world of wonder
At this point I think it would be hard for me to not have new content every two weeks.
But if it means that they can’t do stuff like new races or professions then I would probably prefer an expansion.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T6zkT2uZAGA – GW2 – A world of wonder
I think that the ascended weapons look amazing.
The greathammer and shield in particular. In fact I’d say the shield is one of the most beautiful shields that I have ever seen in a game.
But I don’t like that the colours are different depending on the stats. That is kind of a gear check if you ask me.
In my opinion they should just have given us the option to choose which colour we wanted.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T6zkT2uZAGA – GW2 – A world of wonder
Class balance is something you do for PvP.
ArenaNet does not like PvP.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T6zkT2uZAGA – GW2 – A world of wonder
Concidering the fact that ArenaNet doesn’t care about clipping issues I don’t see why we don’t have capes.
Heck, there were even capes in the early betas and they moved around perfectly with charr tails.

A lot of people are busy farming the new invasions and saving up for the new ascended items.
Things will be back to normal eventually.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T6zkT2uZAGA – GW2 – A world of wonder
As far as I’m concerned they never said that they planned to increase the level cap, but just that they weren’t completely against it.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T6zkT2uZAGA – GW2 – A world of wonder
ANYTHING that makes you able to stand next to someone else and show to people that you have put in more time and effort.
Be it skins, titles, mounts etc.
It could even just be a tonic that turns you into something cool for like 30 minutes and allow you to use it while in combat. (This is my personal preference).
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T6zkT2uZAGA – GW2 – A world of wonder
I don’t care about raids or dungeons. I care about the world, which fits perfectly concidering that ArenaNet wants the world to be the main focus.
I do however want complex mechanics. I am tired of mindless zergs with minor ‘get out of the red circle’ moments.
Just because they don’t want to do instanced raids it does not mean there shouldn’t be raid-like mechanics.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T6zkT2uZAGA – GW2 – A world of wonder
I am extremely dissapointed that we still only have one mode.
Also about the fact that so many armour sets are not available in PvP.

Don’t worry, the SAB graphics are coming to the rest of Tyria as well, making the entire world appealing!
I took this screenshot a week ago during lag, but I don’t think they wanted me to know their plans for the future.

2. Every profession being able to wear all armour.
3. Being able to use tonics in combat.
4. Being able to quickly switch between armour sets.
5. Being able to transmute all weapons with each other.
6. Being able to transmute town clothes with normal armour, and wear town clothes in combat.
7.Having clipping issues for charr tails fixed.
8. Add hearts to every zone without them, Southsun Cove, Orr etc.
9. First person camera.
10. More action bars so I can use stuff in my bags quickly.
11. All dynamic events will award 5 achievement points.
12. Being able to hide all pieces of armour.
That’s about it for me.

Hello.
This thread is for people who have ideas to improve the game with very little effort.
Things that could make a huge difference, but wouldn’t take much development time, or simply seem like they should of been there in the first place.
Here is mine: Why don’t completing events give achievement points and unique items like skins, titles or items that transform you into mobs and allow you to use it in combat, like the watchknight tonic.
Even if every event only gave 5 achievement points people would still do it.
There could even be simple titles for just completing every event in a single map.
For example completing every event in Queensdale could give the title ‘of Divinity’s Reach’.
You would see more people in the open world doing the events and I personally would admire someone who had, say a title or skin, for completing every single event in the game. In fact those items would probably end up being more “legendary” than the actual legendaries.
What’s your idea?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T6zkT2uZAGA – GW2 – A world of wonder
(edited by Naus the Gobbo.5172)
Yep, it’s best to just try and ignore the clipping.
They are too lazy to fix any of them.

I seriously hope that we will get a wardrobe system so we can quickly switch between multiple item sets.
Not having this is actually one of my biggest complaints about this game.
I’d be way more likely to buy the skins in the gem store if I wasn’t limited to 1 per character.

I’ve had problems with the graphics since launch. The lighting, fog and weather effects simply made me dizzy and has turned me off playing for a very long time.
Just a few minutes ago I tried changing my graphics settings and it turns out all I had to do was turn off reflections, post processing, depth blur and effect LOD.
Can’t believe it took me a year to figure this out. XD
That said, there was recently an update that reduced some of the effects.
Here is a before and after.
I just took them now, so I can’t show how it looked before the update.

All this money made and we got nothing in return but more gem store items, awesome.
Yeah.
Except for all the content they’ve released since launch. But wait, you didn’t personally like any of that content so it doesn’t count as content, right?

I would like to say thanks to the Guild Wars 2 community for almost an entire year of being nice to each other, helping each other, treating each other with respect and creating an overall positive atmosphere in this game.
Really, all of you deserve a big ‘thank you’. Everyone.
Thanks to the people who go out of their way to help other players with events and skill points.
Thanks to the people who take the time to revive other players even though there is a giant dragon or a horde of mobs coming your way.
Thanks to the people who go out of their way to help introduce new players to the game and teach them how this game functions.
Thanks to the people who make constructive posts on the forums in order to help the devs improve this beautiful world we call Tyria.
I have never seen such a fantastic community in a game before, and I don’t think I ever will again.
I applause you.
That said, there will always be whiners and trolls which is why I am posting this early, because soon the anniversary will be upon us and then the Horde of Entitlement will rush to the forums and scream because the new stuff they got for free ain’t the colour they wanted it to be.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T6zkT2uZAGA – GW2 – A world of wonder
Unfortunately there isn’t much ArenaNet can do about this problem, as it lies with the players and not with the population itself.
Players play when, how and where they want to. There could easily be a full realm where the actual world itself is dead simply because the players only wanted to stand in Rata Sum.
A great example is World of Warcraft. WoW claims to have 7 million subscribers, yet the servers will be merged in the next patch because most of them are completely dead.
Hopefully the mega-server in Elder Scrolls Online will be good enough that it will be a must for other MMOs to have. There already is an overflow system in GWII so why we have so many realms instead of just a few massive realms with lots of overflow systems is beyond me.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T6zkT2uZAGA – GW2 – A world of wonder
There is no need to close them.
But I do think that they should merge lower populated realms.
I don’t understand why they didn’t have just 1 server and then expand on the overflow technology.
That way they could spread the population evenly in all areas.
