Nobody knows!
It may well be bugged, nobody has found a trigger so far.

After selling 60+ items:
MY WRIST HURTS LIKE SKRITT.
On the plus side, I don’t run into “error attempting to sell” anymore because the new pop-ups and other additional clicks slow me down so much.
~ Whips ~ City Minigames ~ City Jumping Puzzles ~
I’m pretty sure it’s an oversight. It’s the only profession that has this problem. When you drill down into the sub-recipe in the improved crafting UI it doesn’t tell you that it isn’t a jeweler recipe either. You just can’t click the craft button.
I’m fairly certain that the jeweler recipes were meant to use copper ingots, silver and platinum ones.

“Minis now have their weapons stowed to prevent clipping”
Chainsaw the skeleton doesn’t have a chainsaw anymore.
Good job
~ Whips ~ City Minigames ~ City Jumping Puzzles ~
Yes, undocumented.
Then there’s the camera height change and the fact that you can’t see your feet in the hero preview anymore.
And the fact that they rolled back the change they made to the camera when you’re in downed state (it rotates again).
Etc…
~ Whips ~ City Minigames ~ City Jumping Puzzles ~
Upside, now it’s impossible to sell so fast you will get the error message. Problem solved.
I don’t know whether to laugh or to cry.
I made the same joke about their mini “fix” of just not displaying them at all anymore.
~ Whips ~ City Minigames ~ City Jumping Puzzles ~
Well I guess when you test a new UI with, like, 3 items in your inventory, you won’t find anything wrong with it.
But like I said, try selling 40-80 individual blues/greens after a fractal or dungeon run, just once, dear dev, just once, and tell me this is an awesome new UI that speeds up the trading process… :/

I think the meeting went kinda like this…
Anet employee 1: “Hey, let’s add the ability to make minis untradeable.”
Anet employee 2: “Even better, let’s make it so you can’t show them to others, because they get hidden when there are a large number of players on the map.”
Or like this:
ANet dev 1: Look, people were worried about performance, so in crowded maps, minis are now hidden.
ANet dev 2: But thanks to the megaserver, all maps are now crowded.
ANet dev 1: Mega-what? I’m on team “minis”.
~ Whips ~ City Minigames ~ City Jumping Puzzles ~
There’s a lot of stuff the game should remember but doesn’t, for instance that you last sorted by price, or that you like to sell instantly…
~ Whips ~ City Minigames ~ City Jumping Puzzles ~
…Due To Rising Player Population.
On a megaserver…
Will I ever see my mini pets again now that we’re forced into higher population situations?
Yes: in your home instance!
;)
Seriously, ANet. Thanks for not making my mini auto-despawn when I port to another map, but instead just not displaying it on any map ever again. I guess that solved that problem! (…)

I’ve been trying to sell some of the stuff from my inventory.
- To get to “sell” after opening the TP takes 1 more click than before, but I can live with that.
- In the “Sell” view, I have to navigate to each inventory bag separately for some reason. I can’t collapse them into one. All my invisible bags show up, too, even though I can’t access their content.
- When selling an item, I have to use a slider instead of “sell maximum”. (I also have to remember to set it to insta-sell first, or else do the slider twice.)
- Each item is sold in a pop-up that I have to close after the transaction with yet another click, whereas before, I could just select the new item.
- The “Sell popup” always defaults to listing an item instead of remembering my last choice, so if I want to sell instantly (which I do 99.9% of the time), I have to select that every single time too.
On the buy side,
- You can’t buy large numbers of items anymore without first manually adjusting the max price (this used to be automatic).
This might not sound so much, but try selling all your post-fractal-run loot – easily 40-80 items – those clicks add up!!
Has anybody figured out a clever way to circumvent at least the pop-up? Can this be configured somewhere? Am I doomed to just salvage everything forever now? Help.

… like it used to.
You fixed this a while ago and allowed players to take control of their camera angle.
With the new patch, this change was undone.
This change wasn’t documented in the patch notes, so I guess that means that it broke rather than it being a deliberate change. I guess the person who implemented the 5 minute timer was using outdated code.

For my female human (Elonian) mesmer :
I am looking for a top that goes with the embroidered pants.
It should be simple/elegant, befitting a noble traveler. Not too frilly, and not showing too much cleavage if at all possible. Shoulders, gloves and headgear are optional (switched off right now). She’s wearing the embroidered shoes (I dyed them red) with the pants and I quite like that.
As for the colors, vibrant colors will work (anything from orange to turquoise) but I am open to more subdued colors.
But I really really need help with the top!

That’s why I suspect that there is actually close to parity balance between the genders; it’s just that most female gamers see no need to reveal their gender, either because they feel it doesn’t matter, or because (sadly) they often get harassed once their gender does become known.
It’s not like male games run around and scream “I’m a boy! I’m a boy!” either… It’s not female gamers’ fault if other gamers just assume them to be male until proven otherwise…

I wouldn’t even use it if I got the item itself for free.

Too much to ask for one red post in this thread?
They probably don’t want to risk making things even worse. I mean trying to circle around the fact that they have no real response to give regarding this subject hardly helps anyone.
Acknowledgement would be a low-risk step in the right direction.
I believe that they’re currently working on how to word that. I’ll keep my eyes open. Would be very disappointing though if they tried to ignore this until it goes away quietly.

I like that the backpiece sends you on a treasure hunt throughout Tyria.
I like that it reminds players to re-visit mini-dungeons.
I like that it makes players fight certain bosses for the first time ever.
I like that it encourages players to try out fractals.
You don’t have to master any of these, just try them out (at fractal level 2… it’s doable even without ANY fractal knowledge).

Not that I want them to, but I’d be fine with that. I bought the coin, I’d buy the admission. That’s content worth paying for.
So would I, and several friends of mine. If they put a Golden Continue Coin (or whatever) in the gem shop that granted permanent access to the existing levels, I’d buy it.

You can always pool resources with a bunch of people you trust, share the burden and take turns ‘holding’ the minis.
That’s what I did with my best on-game friends for series I and series II minis. We created a temporary guild for it as depositing the minis in the guild bank was a lot more convenient that mailing them all back and forth between us (which would have been a pain, mainly thanks to the ‘spam protection’…. bleurgh). I also sent some minis to some friendly forum people, and all were promptly returned.
I haven’t started working at series III at all yet, but I’d be up for collaboration.

I haz a big sad. Actually, I haz three big sads.
Big sad #1
I will miss the SAB, it was fun playing it with my friends.
Big sad #2
I never understood while the content already there isn’t accessible to me.
Biggest sad #3
Now I may never happen what was the deal with the genie and the Moto scene in Rata Sum. Thanks for leaving me hanging on a cliffhanger, ANet. I truly care about these things.
I guess I’d be somewhat okay with this story being resolved in another way (like… a novel or something like that) but really.. mainly I’m really disappointed and sad.

Yeah, it’s inconvenient, I remember this from every single “Monthly Jumping Puzzles” achievement ever – the trigger for “I’ve done it!” is nowhere near the chest. The chest is just a clever decoy!
~ Whips ~ City Minigames ~ City Jumping Puzzles ~
Weapons are oversized so we can see them at all. Same for champions and some of the bosses. “Can’t see the boss? Let’s make it LARGER!”
I think it is the completely wrong solution to the problem.
a) We still can’t see the boss/champion/whatever, as the problem was never their size, but a zerg’s particle effects.
b) On the topic of weapons, they wouldn’t have to be oversized if the game allowed us to zoom closer to actually see the detail on our character/armor/weapon. Right now, the only way for me to see my own character up close is to either use a hairstyle kit, or stand nose-to-nose to a wall in order to force the camera closer.
Another problem with the zoom is that you can’t adjust the camera height at all, so you can’t see your character (zoomed in) when they’re sitting somewhere or lying down.
ANet, please allow us to zoom in closer (in the open world as well as hero window, preview window, and gem store preview). This way we will be able to see the detail on our characters without making things like weapons gargantuan in size.

So there is no way I will get the seed back to craft the second/third backpiece? I need to build the first one again? And no money left…
No, all you have to do is wait for the next fix.

As far as I understand it, you will be able to use the commander tag on any of your characters (whereas right now, you can only use it on one).
You should get one for 100g while you can.

I know of at least one person who actively uses their permanent personal BL delivery NPC to troll people. Pops on, sits back and laughs at people who try to interact with it.
I realize that this isn’t a game-breaker, but it happens to me really rather a lot.

We will not issue refunds for any of the items involved in these crafting processes. Note that you can still obtain a Mysterious Seed by completing The Dragon’s Reach: Part 1 story via the Story Journal on any of your characters, since this item is account bound.
Are you kidding me? I need to craft Backpiece 1 again because of a bug caused by you and I will get no refund? I don’t get it.
No, you don’t need to craft Backpiece 1 again. In fact, you skipped ahead several steps and saved a LOT of money in the process.
And you will STILL get the intermediate skin awarded back in a future patch.
But, by all means, go on telling everybody how you got the short end of the stick.
