As a guardian who uses sword with 2ed set Scepter Chains of Light and kill thief and elementalist’s easy
war with movement cant be killed it same thing over and over again “oh you got me to half HP? well SEE YA” use 33% movement with sword and GS and have a skill breaks Chains of Light nevers work’s and has longer cd then Savage Leap so war then heals to full for being OOC.
when i can bind the war it breaks them i can’t keep up with sigil heal with Scepter dps (yes i have full Ascended bloodlust etc )
Nerf the Savage Leap timer cool down if you do not hit the person(make it 16sec or 22sec) then it just like the elementalist Ride the Lightning.
A 900 units Savage Leap on a 8 cool down is game breaking when combined with the the rest of warrior movement.
1,200 movement Ride the Lightning 40sec cool down 900 units Savage Leap 8sec cool down it very easy to to see warrior is movement overloaded

Make condi builds like power builds – nerf all condi duration /2, introduce condi duration on gear. Bam, condi spammer now forced to get 2 damage stats instead of one, bye-bye tanky condition builds.

GW2 doesn’t , if a large group has more then 2 or 3 times the numbers as even the best group out there, the large group will win with a bit of leading.. doesn’t matter if like more then 50% of the large zerg isn’t even 80 yet and is their first week playing .
We are playing same game? Try to use things called “choke points”, “static fields”, “concentrated AOE” on your enemy, and things called “discipline”, “coordination”, “guild builds” and “tactic” on your group, and you will see x2 zergs teared apart.

We killed Gaheron, that’s true, but the Flame Legion is hostile. Blood currently is not. And the Flame did not stop even after this happened. Nor did we became Imperators.
Because we don’t have friendly Flame Tribune to take Flame Imperator title and stop the conflict.

We killed Flame Imperator already, in CoF story, right in the center of his citadel. So it’s entirely possible. And Rytlock is already Blood Tribune, hence – legitimate pretender to Imperator title.

Hotjoin is not entry-level. Hotjoin is “how not to do things” level. If you try to learn tactics from hotjoin you will be the worst player in the game.
Since hotjoin-only population is not PvP population, we would not suffer any decline. Also, why would there be a decline? because you are motivated to win?
So dungeons are empty because you have to complete it if you want the reward? They give you the reward for enetering and wiping, sometimes clearing 1-2 trash mob?
And now you will tell me differences between 5×5 hotjoin and soloQ/tPvP. Player skill not included, because we talking about entry-level.

Maybe hotjoin would be filled with less PvE guys. But probably soloque/team arena would see an increase in population.
70-90% decrease for hotjoin and maybe +15-20% increase for other modes. And in future – rapid overall sPvP population decline, because entry-level sPvP is obsolete now.

Killing your superior officer (especially if you can accuse him in as traitor) is acceptable way to rank up in Charr society. So no major civil war, just initial conflict, some story battles, making contact with Rytlock, preparations, Iron+Ash+Edge of Destiny (or Rox+Bhaham, or both, and player ofk) operation, Bangar killed by Rytlock, Rytlock is new Blood Imperator.

I find this to be a good build when running as a zerg warrior. I’ve used this effectively against t1 servers where my team is always outmanned, outgunned, and outcovered. But, that didn’t stop us from killing them every now and then.
GS for anything outside of roaming is really bad idea.

If you want to be real warrior, pick charr or norn. If you want to be “yet another guy rolling warrior, can’t remember him”, pick human or salad. If you want to be parody on warrior, pick asura.

There should be no Rank farm in Hot-Joins and its actually easy, just cap Rank gain to Level 10 in hot Joins and after that people just get Glory.
The 10+ rank should be left to SoloQ/TeamQ.

Warrior movement skills need to get a Ride-the-Lightning treatment.
So it will give same movement speed, immunity to slow effects and immunity to tons of CC while traveling? I’m ok with that.

Warriors are not the least bit balanced. Are you kidding me? They’re stupidly overpowered now. You should see the vids me and my guild made using our warriors. we can /sleep in arrow cart and cannon fire with 10+ people beating on us and not die or even drop below half health. You’re a fool if you think warrior isn’t ridiculously overpowered now and in need of severe nerfs. no other class is capable of doing anywhere near what warrior can do. And you’re wrong about armor being meaningless. it does help me anyway. I barely any damage from even the burstiest builds.
Are your guild have any chances to meet SoR in incoming league matches? I really want to see your superior lootba…. emm, warriors tanking 10+ people and sleeping under proper arrowcart fire.

Your build means strict 30 in def line, no movement impairing immunity due to stance talent, only 1 stability will be on-demand, and conditions with +condi duration will still penetrate your “condition immunity”. All those theorycrafted specs are good on forums.

Another QQ topic, don’t even bother to read all whine. Defenders must have natural advantage because they are (tadam!) defenders. If attacking force unable to organize proper lord defense and circle cleaning, it’s l2p and l2organization issue, not gameplay or balance one.
P.S. Especially lol’d at “zerker stance warrior are unstoppable!” posts. Guess someone never heard about stuns, knockbacks, launches…

Ok so I play WvW mostly but love to SPVP sometimes too. I often think it is very unfair though that SPVP does not reward players with gold. Why should WvW players get gold and SPVP players none? SPVP players need gold too… Even if it is only 1s per victory. Why should every other game area give gold apart from SPVP? Many SPVP players do other content so why should they be penalised fanatically when they SPVP? Some players only SPVP and how is it fair that they can never get any gold?
My suggestion is to keep this thread bumped until anet does something about this ridiculous issue that has been in game since release or at least acknowledges it…

You can spend 10 min on fresh account and bam, you have 5 fully equipped characters with right builds, ready to fight with anything in sPvP/soloQ/tPvP on equal ground.
Guess how much time and gold you need to achieve same result for WvW?
And another thing about gold – average gold per hour for PvE and WvW player is completely uncomparable, in PvE you can get it MUCH faster.
I agree that sPvP reward system shall be reworked, made less grindy overall and need new rewards for high-level activity, such as tournaments. IMO tradeable skins (instead of usual account-bound ones) as rewards for tPvP will be good idea.

Not sure we will see this happen ingame, so the Charr are stuck with their self-made ghost problem.
Ghostbore technology, invented by player in Iron Legion storyline. Given ultimate success of weapon tests and current rates of charr industrialization, ghost problem will be solved in few years without any legends and flashy swords.

Btw “king fault” theory is really logical. IRL, if you own military-grade weapon, you are one who take responsibility for it by the law. And if your friend/family member/etc takes this weapon and kills someone with it, you will be arrested and taken to the court too.

I’m sorry, but why are you so proud of an obvious spec with a sword and a gs -.- I could equip a sword over a mace and actually kill something if I wanted mobility, and tbh from personal experience Bullscharge with gs is more than enough. But if running around playing ‘tip’ with your enemy is your thing.. nothing more to say.

Clerics have almost zero value, because main source of heal is empowers + blasts on water fields. Shouts is handy little sustain source and good condi cleanse instrument, but not something really worthy to kitten your stats with healing power.

Mesmers give veils and nullfields. Good luck to achieve any sudden strikes without that, or win in boon-condition clash. Also if your mesmer wear zerker – it’s l2p issue.

Only classes who in the really bad spot right now is medium armor ones (thieves are more valuable due to blasts, but you don’t need more than few anyway). All other classes are highly valuable.

Having no ranged in WvW always bothers me. How do you/anyone else contribute to a keep defense with pure melee? Hit-and-run or some other clever tactic?
You just do your job (stay with hammer and wait for command to engage something) and let ranged do ranged job. Getting caught in combat with 1 weapon set wasted for ranged weapon is bad.

Leave it as is, commander system is self-regulating.
I play WvW since first BWE, and i seen all types of commanders. Even bad commander is usually just unexperienced one, and commander experience =/= combat experience. Give him coordinates of server TS and let him improve, if he really want to be commander – he will become good one after some time. Being good commander is usually all about commanding experience and dedication.
Oh, and PvE-rs who got a pin? Who cares, lol, PvE guys just love shiny things.
P.S. Guild-only commander system is higher priority.

If you are frontline, damage is not your main concern, so Soldiers are pretty acceptable.

Getting rid of the borderlands would do a lot to solve the problem of servers being outnumbered. All three servers would be roughly equal numbers. The point scores would reflect actual accomplishment instead of simply which server was bigger.
As far as waiting in a queue or overflow, that is already normal in GW2. Any of the major PvE events, like Tequatl or Scarlet’s Minions, result in overflow for days.
The borderlands should be converted to something more useful or at least scored seperately from EB, so we can see how well each server is actually doing.

That gamemode is not GvG.
It is death match.
Don’t call it GvG. Just don’t.And yes, 20v20 takes less individual skill per player.
The bigger the number, the less each player matters.
20v20 every player makes up 5% of a team.
40v40 now every player makes up for 2.5% of a team.
100v100… one player = 1% of the team.
In a 100v100 if suddenly one player has a disconnect, you won’t even notice, because that players individual contribution to the fight is so small. It is actually quite simple, and that some people can’t grasp that is kinda sad.
Take Battlefield 3. The bigger tournaments had maximum teamsize of 8.
Battlefield 3 would allow for a teamsize of 32, but no one who knows a bit about competive play, would ever think of making a 32v32 competive tournament. They maybe make one for fun, but thats it. Fun.
Why do you think Football or Soccer has a teamsize of 11? The rules would work perfectly fine with teamsize of 50v50 and there is more than enough space on a field.
You can take basically any teamsport or teamgame and look at it’s competive scene, and you will almost always see a teamsize of around 10.On top of that, smaller group sizes have a positive community value, as more guilds can participate in the content.
Individual skill means nothing, nor it shall be. It’s GvG, not Individual vs. Individual. You must show your skill as organized group, as guild, not as bunch of individuals. And if someone trying to degrade GvG into fight of individuals or small comps of individuals – this is wrong approach. Thats why i personally think that minimal size of GvG comps shall be set at 20 vs 20, ideally – 25 vs 25.

This is common situation for T1. Transfer to lower tiers if you want small scale fights so badly, or adapt. BG roaming groups are harmless if you are run with guildmates.

please think about retroactive deleting all rank points obtained in Skyhammer since its launch. I don’t know if it’s possible and if you have any logs of who obtained how much glory when/where. But if it is possible, please consider it.

The problem is, all these slow fixes just either slow them or make them find a new method. They will just find a way to end a match faster, probably suicide jumps after reaching the cap.
The only solution is to remove glorygain from hotjoin.
People could still test builds and “have fun” – but since hotjoin only teaches wrong things to newcomers (like never defend a capture point, spam Aoe and move on, stay with zerg and so on), it shouldn’t give glory. I know it would only take 2 mins to make this change :P
This would also improve the arena population + people could only get ranks if they deserve it.
Such a “great” idea. Have fun with another 2-3 times sPvP population decline, lol, looks like you deserve it.

What do Necros get? We get ONE trait 30 deep into Soul Reaping to help deal with CC. What we need is an easier way to handle it without completely kittening our build. I don’t want a full counter to you where I press a button and everyone dies. I just want something that can be put into a build, with a reasonable cost (like a utility slot, because thats what those things are for), without gimping my entire build.
So necros want to stay condispam machines AND have tools against CC pressure in same time? Yes, totally makes sense.
