I’m not saying the warrior should exactly be “nerfed”, but the fact that a lot of its strongest traits are easily picked up in the adept trait line is a bit of an issue. If traits were moved around and the healing signet was toned down a bit then yes warriors would be fine. Anet’s main concern should be with the rest of the classes in this game. Many are underpowered after receiving many critical nerfs in the past. I know they said they would keep adding new skills and traits in the future, but they need to completely rework the ones they already have beforehand. The reason why powerful builds and “flavors of the month” arise is because of the poor synergy between many of the current traits which allow for only a select few to be used. Some classes are in a better state than others but there still is much work to be done.
Calling for an all out nerf on a class due to its popularity from powerful setups leads to breaking the class. Using the elementalist as an example, the ever popular d/d bunker 3 cantrip build became flavor of the month back in late October/early November. This was a godlike class with more cleansing and healing, while maintaining cc and stunbreaks than the law allowed. People begged for changes because the pve, wvw and pvp communites were flooded with eles. Anet responded and now look at the elementalist’s current position, its broken. There really isn’t anything an ele can particularly do that any class couldn’t do better. They are completely not used in tpvp and dwindling in the wvw seen unless your running staff for zergs. Granted they are still good in pve but that’s easy stuff. Calling for nerfs on a class can be detrimental to the class as a whole.

Warriors out running thieves. Heh what kinds of drugs are you on sounds interesting.

I outrun anything with my warrior in wvw quite easily thanks. Sword 2 and greatsword 3,5 work nicely. Bull rush if you want to add more and a 48sec cd on rage signet (using signet mastery another adept trait) gives near perma swiftness. But hey we have warrior sprint trait (also in the adept line) for that constant 25% while thieves have to use a signet utility. Think cc could stop us? Nope we have mobile strikes and dogged march (oh my another adept trait as well) to counter all that no problem. Any incoming damage could be blocked/immune/etc so really there’s nothing stopping us. Oh and of course this is all without melandru runes or poultry soup to even further lower the possible cc’s put on us.

Oh I almost forgot our warhorn offhand! How could I? With this bad boy we will have perma swiftness along with rage signet and a mass cleanse to that nasty chill, cripple and immobilize.

What do you mean “wtf”? Unsuspecting Foe #4 in the adept trait line is pretty much what makes the hammer seem op. If this effect never existed then the weapon would be just normal cc. Honestly the best way to deal with this would to move it farther up to master or maybe even grandmaster.
And yes I do understand I put 50% damage instead of
Crit chance. Still does not change the fact that this trait is an issue.

What they need to do is nerf all of the OP builds on each profession and then work on making builds that require skill, not this spammy crap we have in the current meta.

The warrior doesn’t need an overall nerf.There are just a couple changes that could solve a lot of stress. For one, the cool down on the mace burst skill should be a bit longer or the stun shorter same with hammer, the 50% extra damage with stun trait should be completely changed. This one trait allows wars to bunker in and still hit high numbers as long as there is a stunned person; on top of the current base damage they have (which is high). If people remember they nerfed ele’s bunker setup damage with bountiful power for this same reason. And last but not least the main thing is the heal signet. There is no reason to allow a warrior without even a dose of healing power to passively heal for 400 a second. I personally unbind my “6” key on my heal so that i don’t accidentally use it because that passive heal can keep me alive more in any situation than the actual active use.
On a side note, for the WvW people, I do recall Anet making a claim that no class should be able to “outrun” thieves, this led to the Ele’s rtl being nerfed into the ground from its original 15 sec cool down. Currently the warrior has the most mobility and of course they have traits that decrease any sort of cc to allow them to stay mobile. They can jump into a fight and if it doesn’t go in their favor, they can leave it just as fast and be across the map.
All this reminds me of the guard hammer setup many moons ago that could tank 4 on the point and still sometimes take out a squishy player or the D/d bunker ele days. We all understand that a couple months ago the warrior was one of if not the worst class in pvp, we begged for changes to make it better but what we got was a monster that outshines everything else.
Because of this repeating trend, my main concern is towards Anet’s current balance team. I don’t know who hired them all but all they have done in the past is make poor decisions and they have an extremely uncanny knack to not exactly fix anything but are somehow always able to ruin something currently usable or make things worse than they already are. I understand that the company may not have the largest budget to afford a good development team on all accords but there needs to be at least a concerted effort put in.

It should only be a pve/wvw thing and stay out of pvp

so when using rocket belt its now ground target and has a very very high arc at its 1500 range.

now as a grenade engineer i can see this being very very usefull for clearing walls when we lay siege how ever

THE PVER inside me is screaming bloody murder for this.

1. alot of dungeons are low roofs / arches etc and when i fire it more then 600 + (for scope) it explodes as it arcs high.

2. underwater combat with this is now very annoying if im higher them 1500 and cant target the ground i cant force the rocket to impact my target during its arc or have the target “obstruct” its pathing. and is now ground target underwater to.

3. its so stupidly low most of the time the target either moves or is killed b4 it hits (this is wvw and events)

the double damage is very nice and it is a welcome change to have it ground targeted.

how ever please can u change its arc so its in line with grenade arc. so it acts as a secondary grenade barrrage in terms of cooldown and dmg as its a non spread attack its single target dmg is nice.
keep its speed just greatly reduce its arc so its inline with the grenade arc.

this was not in patch notes btw video attached below

Ooooo please do as then we could revive the old 100 nades build ;p (just a little)

I mean I’m not against this as I would love to be extremely overpowered but I don’t think it would fly with the rest of the community.

Internal cooldown?

If I was to be talking about your idea, then I cant see the difference between the current heal turret and yours. If the internal cd remained after I used the heal and picked it up then even if I carried it to another location, I still wouldn’t be able to use its primary function. Now if this were to be applied with the other turrets then it would be better but I feel this could be abused as then you could pick them up to prevent destruction to them and of course bring them to any small skirmish. Yea the overcharges would be on internal cd but would that really matter? As long as you can keep your turret alive easily is really what matters.

Yes Anet, currently the Logicus is bugged. When in the day-time transformation, its effect is only existent when out but not while stowed unlike the night-time transformation, it still keeps the effects while stowed. Also, during the transition period between day and night the Logicus’s old trail of light that we all loved returns but eventually disappears after full transition.
Hopefully you can go back and fix the effects staying during daylight and keeping the blue trail at day and purple by night (and of course maintaining that blue-ish/purple at transition period). Other than these occurrences, the updated Meteorlogicus is gorgeous. The footsteps are splendid and the night-time version is stunning. An absolute superb job guys.

Balance the stealth mechanic

I don’t know if you have played the thief or looked at the tool tip when in stealth by a thief but your 2 & 3 suggestions are already in the game. To continue, your 4th suggestion happens usually automatically by players since due to the fact of #3, a thief is out in the open. Your 1st & 5th suggestions are completely out of the question as it would totally nullify the main utility the thief provides as no one would want it from them since it would cause too many liabilities. If you are distraught by dying to thieves or anyone in stealth for that matter (whether it be pvp or wvw), you should take it up on the thief forum as they will happily tell you how to counter it in combat.

RtL isn’t effected by Chill or Cripple, like literally every other rush type skill. a 900 range nerf is generous considering that i can guarantee this skill at some time in the future will be effected by chills/cripples. I’d take the 900 range and shut my trap in a heartbeat on rush.

You better just get over it, its gonna happen a lot in the next to months. Your much to strong in Spvp. Unless anet is fully willing to seperate pvp/wvw/pve nerfs will be a common thing for you.

I play both ele and warrior and I know that gs 5 can get me out of a situation just like rtl.
On another note, it is extremely doubtful that the ele will receive any nerfs in the upcoming months. If you have a problem subduing them, that’s your own issue. Rtl as well as mist form, can easily be cc’d with immobilize. Instead of nerfs, Anet will put in buffs to other underrated class builds to allow for some other options. Main question is, why the hell has this thread become a rant on nerfing eles. Keep these shenanigans in the elementalist thread-list please.

Hmm I see. While this seems to be very possible to make, it can be easily exploited for monetary gain. What would happen is that people would purchase said duplicator with gems through gold. Then they would duplicate said “Anonymity hood of Divinity” to another item keeping the previous hood and now having a new hood. Thus they can then salvage the new item (since it would be soulbound of course) with a Black Lion Salvage kit acquiring any materials such as possible ectos and upgrades and sell. Profits will then go towards buying more duplicate kits and so the cycle continues. This would be a method of “item duping” and of course put a extensive damper on the market.

Ahaha. The method they have already is just fine. Its the precursors that will be changed. Their idea of a “scavenger hunt” for them is nice (and hopefully will be released sometime this month or the next). The idea of the legendary is to prolong game play and the almighty “end-game content”. The best and simplest way to do this obviously is through material grinding and money dumping. Personally I find getting a legendary quite simple and you do not necessarily have to play 24/7 to get one as I have certainly not. Making it a quest chain is straightforward and just going to make it easier when everything required is just placed in front of you. Making it a reward for pvp tourneys is also not ideal since many people can pvp (not everyone in this game is “skill-less”), that’s not difficult. It will completely ruin spvp as well, because who wants to do that when I could easily duel Joe Shmoe over here in a daily bracket for a chance at the best weapon in the game. Also having a daily/weekly chance at this is will significantly increase the amount of them in game and ruin its appeal and worth. It is called a “Legendary” for a reason and should be kept that way. Remember, it is completely optional to craft one and not something that one must acquire to feel they accomplished something.

Guardian just proved why Anet implemented this in the first place. World completion is completely optional and mainly for the gift of exploration for legendaries. This is supposed to be a long process and including WvW in the map completion process does exactly that. It is also a way for Anet to involve players with multiple content in their game and explore new options. Whether you continue it is completely your decision.

Its completely based on opinion. Personally I find it useless now and if you honestly want some sort of magic find boost, Omnomberry Bars are fine. I have 4 fully speced 80’s and my warrior was in complete magic find exotics getting 200% mf with buffs. Of course I ran this back when Orr was easily farmable with plinx/shelt/pent but even though I saw an increase, it was not as large as one would expect with such a large amount of Mf. I have long since gotten rid of the gear and run regular gear so that I can be efficient in dungeons and events. Even without the mf gear, I find myself finding good drops.

Hello SacuraShadow,
My friend and I both received the same message as our accounts were banned for the same reason on Feb. 3rd. We both received that same automated message but we just sent a reply afterwards on the same ticket. We both were completely innocent as well and my friend just received a response earlier this afternoon from a GM and his account was reactivated. I am still currently waiting for my response but I’m sure its just still waiting in que. Just have patience and check your email for a response from a GM.

So anyone else notice the stealth change to dagger Earth 3? You have to press the button once more to activate the pull now. The animation on the pull has also been changed. I wonder if i should consider this as a buff to it since now the pull isn’t automatic. hmm

Even though I dont roll Gs as a main, I still kept on as backup for certain dungeons and in WvW. I normally ran Staff, Sword/Pistol or Sword/focus. Even my playstyle is extremely effected by the LoS whether it may be PvP or PvE. At least my phantasms didnt get nerfed like the Zerker. This patch means that the exotic gs in my inventory will collect dust and be yet another waste of money.
Anet you messed up plain and simple. Just come out and admit it and revert the changes. Save a dying class.

This “patch” was the biggest pile of bs in a while. Portal CD should not have been increased, it is used for many things besides WvW and waiting for a min to cool down was long enough, 1 min 30 is obnoxious. Second, Phantasm LOS is bs, these die instantly. Doing this only makes us useless not only in WvW but in dungeons as well. This needs to be fixed back to prepatch or at least be reworked and reasonable.
Basically, ANET you screwed up big on this one and right before an expansion too. Your losing your community.
