Hmm 2-3 days left, no scarlet’s grasp, spaulders, and veil. They came back before last time why not now. We’ll have to see. I’m also not holding my breath for old discontinued glasses and the fabled bunny ears lol.
Yea I like it better than it was, just gotta fix the bugs
Yea it did get clunky, doesn’t go the whole distance half the time and I sometimes randomly go backwards even when I have no target.
it should and they fixed it from last beta weekend so it should now.
Nope. They need to reduce the base CD of most of the shouts by a lot and then change augury of death.
I feel this should be something. Current augury of death doesn’t bring much to the table to use over chilling nova or relentless pursuit. It needs to do something more or something else entirely. Then like you said, make shouts have much lower cds as base.
( I mean even when using shouts, id rather take the other two adepts than augury.)
Spectral mastery needs to be baseline or we have to take soul reaping forever
Not spectral mastery, Vital Persistance needs to be baseline. It’s the most globally effective way to normalize Necro Life Force, and is one of the biggest hindrances on diversity.
This needs to happen and necro will have so much new life breathed into it as a whole.
Anything really, it’s still just a bit lack luster.
This elite should give some stability regardless if you hit anyone and needs a cd reduction to, at the most 90 secs. If you use it in a smaller scale fight or even in a 1v1 its pretty useless beside a loud sentence you scream before you die. If these changes get put in this skill will be substantial to take over the current elites for necros.
Yea it’s got some damage and a chill that can be traited to proc vuln but that’s just not enough to garner a 120 cd.
Either this or increase its effect per target hit so it’s beneficial across all playstyles.
(I personally would like to see it as low a cd as golem but hey that’s just me.)
Just an fyi you’re only able to do that on clocktower bc no one trebed the walls on either side. Once those are down you can’t do that anywhere on clocktower.
Still way too much access to slow. Continuum split is still way too good for everything. Clones respawning was a ridiculous idea. Wells have extremely low cds for what they can provide. Overall class just has way too much going for it and zero repercussions.
Yea I understand that trait but they are like just frozen in state like an afterimage. It’s pretty absurd and gets cluttered.
I don’t exactly know if this is just due to chronomancers? But I noticed during last beta and this one that when chronos shatter the clones wont disappear for a while, they just stay there in shattering position at point of where they shattered. Now this isn’t the case outside of betas when normal during normal mesmer play.
Now I don’t think this is intended but who knows at this point.
It get’s pretty annoying when a point is just filled with clones, especially if there’s more than one mes.

Just spit, my drink. Was waiting in queue and saw this pic and was like oh 3 rangers and 2 necs that’s a poor comp. Match pops, and I get that exact comp.
fml
Meh, the mists is just that place where we can all go to beat the kitten out of each other and not die. Like a perpetual limbo with separate dimensional rifts (aka different maps)
It’s consumed and bound to your account to be accessible on all characters. Just open the outfits section in the Hero tab and select it for use. You can also dye it like any other in the dye section as well.
Got free Halloween 20 slot pails from pvp reward track during the event. Got tons of em.
6g for a pail is still a cheap alternative than the others but the fractal ones are ideally the best for free.
First of all, what do you like to do? Another thing is, what role do you like to fulfill?
Hey now don’t feel bad. I get kicked for being a necro regardless of my AP.
2 and a half years and the ears and glasses haven’t returned to the gem store yet the inventors and reading glasses stayed after the wardrobe patch. Anet I swear if these don’t make a solid appearance again during this sale, you are shooting yourselves in the foot.
yes yes i know this, doesnt mean they cant bring it back
Well they could bring back the bunny ears and the multiple discontinued glasses too but those haven’t returned in 2 and a half years. So i take things with a grain of salt.
Was a promo item for purchasing a certain number of gems long time ago and given as a gift via the mail. It was never a item purchasable in the gem store.
To Smurf you have to be above average at playing games. That fact alone makes it highly unlikely anyone in the Guild Wars 2 community can do it. The Warrior was considered OP when it was by and far the worst class in this game…. Or how about when they buffed Ranger longbow and the vast majority of you howled “NERF NOWZZ!”. I highly doubt smurfing will be a problem.
However, I do see veterans crying because someone who just picked up the game destroyed them.
The only thing that will happen is F2P users will try out the pvp and most likely quit after 3 to 4 weeks because of the horrible balance that has plagued this game for 3 years and the fact it is, honestly, very boring. Stronghold will just expedite this issue.
What? So you’re saying it’s unlikely anyone will smurf bc no one in the gw2 community is above average at playing games? I already made a couple smurf accs to play with friends. Not a problem. Smurfing is a thing that happens in most top competitive games, is CSGO having problems? LoL? Nope they are at the top with extremely high player bases. So no, smurfing is not a issue nor would it ever be.
D/p and daredevil wont be a thing. If you take Deadly Arts, trickery and Daredevil, you lack shadow arts and therefore some serious survival traits that keep the thief alive currently while heavily relying on stealth. With the intro of the daredevil you will now rely on evades but condis still run rampant more than ever so that remove condi on successful evade will be your main priority. So s/d’s evade will be some and of course the removal on the 2 return.
On the contrary if one took shadow arts then you would lose either a extremely crucial steal trait line or double bundle use and a good secondary heal. I still find sb to be more mobile than staff as it has vertical axis as well along with another evade. So like you said refuge and step are way to good to pass up on the tool bar for semi useless physicals and the heal is crap. The elite maybe way too good on a 40 sec cd and that might be the first on the list for changes.
Honestly the spec will be s/d-sb DA,DD,T with current dp utilities still most likely and the new elite.
Not that strong
lol so there’s a downstate player and i just waltz over and RS 5 on him and bam instantly dead. screw cleave, you’re dead instantly baha. The daredevils is a elite first of all, and second it has to be chained in the consecutive hits.
I mean don’t get me wrong, I’m all for this idea but it just might be over the top.
Scepter is seen on condi builds in wvw, not so much in spvp. Condi is much stronger outside spvp due to obtainable runes outside pvp such as perplexity and gear like dire. Food also plays a big role. Condi, is not however good for pve, you want to stick to more dps berserker builds.
Got to remember that if they want to run daredevil they have to drop a trait line from current thief. If they want to keep all the magic that steal does they must take trickery. If they want survival they have to take shadow arts and so on. So things will be different than current play style.
So if they take say, acro, devil and sa then they lose some crucial traits for steal as well as that whole using your bundle twice as they wouldn’t be taking deadly arts either (in which they would lose one of the best traits, improvisation.) Don’t know exactly what their new f skill function would be, got to wait and see.
To be honest, Shadow arts is the one thing keeping them alive at the moment. If they drop that, they will have an extremely difficult time with any class.

its aids yes but a moa will easily counter rendering it useless.
Sometimes i take my life into my hands and purposely walk back and forth on ring of fire to stack high burns to then toss onto some random poor chap.
Life’s a gamble.
No elite over 120 seconds. So you could just say, flesh golems only. No dwayna runes lol
It happens while in a transform. Leaving the transform fixes it. Noticed it since last patch.
So i must be constantly in a transform because it happens all the time.
Happened twice, on temple and foefire here on NA.
Edit: make that 3 now, on both teams, full disconnects.
(edited by SaintSnow.6593)
Multiple times, in my matches has my entire team disconnected from a match. It seems it only happens while on the blue team as the other team isn’t effected. This is only recent as of today.
confirmed, I was wondering what was doing this.
Cele amulet has nothing to do with anything. Eles have gotten stronger due to streamlined traits and other trait changes, they have always been able to stack might extremely easy and now with burn damage increased now they have even more out going damage as they have always been able to easily stack that too.
Basically all these minor and major changes to classes and other mechanics have power creeped the hell out of eles and it just shows how poorly anet cross checks current game mechanics before they change things.
Thieves now are the best they have ever been. Now that shadow arts has 0 drawbacks to your dps while gaining good sustain and now two uses of your stolen bundle? Amazing. Thieves are great rezbots as well, they can do everything.
Only thing before that was out of place was them literally hard countering mesmers and now with their buffs that’s all gone. Tbh this current meta has been the best for both mes and thief in 3 years time.
They never were a “team fight” class but one to hang out on the side to dps down low health targets or assist.

Ask Davinci, he knows all about macroing..
jokes aside, macroing is a mouse function on most if not all gaming mice today so it’s hard to tell. Macroing skills is one thing but macroing jump dodge is nothing. There is no gain from it that will essentially give you the upper hand over other players.
The anniversary sale is exactly what it implies, returning items in the gem store from previous time periods in the span of gw2 as well as some occasional dropped prices of current items. Basically, the fact of the matter that anyone in this game should know is that Anet loves to put items in the store for a limited time span (in the past they didn’t even let you know of this ahead of time) and now is when they usually return. Another thing you should take note is that unlike last years sales this one is lasting for 21 days which probably means there will be newer (limited time only) items.
As for events. it’s no guarantee. The Queen’s Jubilee was a one time thing, though the reopening of the Crown Pavilion did reoccur but mainly for the zephyrite shenanigans. Overall this sale means Anet put some stuff in the store, it’s usually old crap that most of us have already or promotional items like the new bundles which I find are overpriced and useless. Outfits are lame so there’s that and the really old items that were taken out of the gem store to “make room” back in 2012 never returned. Which many of us never got to begin with as they were town clothes and the wardrobe was never a thing nor was it even conceived.
TLDR Buy stuff from the gem store when its available because it will not come back in a very long time or ever.
Sometimes I use swiftness. On my female human/norn I don’t always, because I think their jogging animation is hotter at base speed.
lmao I died from this response. Hotness factor over utility, flawless.
Anyways, as a necro I was used to being slow as all hell. You get used to it, I would always rather take a utility that’s useful than one that primarily helps my movement.
This conversation is decent but it needs more ostrich eggs, the father of esports.
Yup basically it’s, if you move you will die and if you don’t well, hey you’re a free target so you’ll die anyway.
It’s not yet people still defend it like it was completely intended. Now that burn damage has been significantly increased, all these easily applicable burn skills need to be toned down. I never understand why Anet changes a function like Burning and doesn’t cross check and balance current skills that apply a lot of it easily.
Not just eu, i get it occasionally on na.
I like it because I mainly play pvp. Blighter’s boon procs on every little boon ( so for example, each stack of might is life force or health, not every boon as a whole like most traits with a similar function). This means that at the start of match, say if my team boon stacks or even just does a half fast might stack before the gate, I can easily reach 12k life force or more right off the start. This is more than double the life force I could attain doing sacrifice swaps prior to the patch back in April 2014.
This reason of not having life force at the start of matches is one of the sole reasons why the trend of focusing the necro at the beginning of every match arose.
(edited by SaintSnow.6593)
They want to take a more damage oriented route with the gs it seems which is good but if they are going to keep the cast times as is on gs 1 and grave digger then the damage increases should make the hits eye watering. I want to feel the sheer power of this weapon, not a pool noodle. I think the over dps on the dagger should increase as well. Axe love is presumably in the works (along with scepter) so who knows what the deal is with that.
As for many of you who already know (and for those that don’t https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Blighter's_Boon) this trait is hands down the first trait that probably truly qualifies as a grand master trait. The sheer amount of life force gain from this is by far the best beyond anything else. It’s all great and all but this is just another reason why the Reaper is miles ahead of its measly predecessor the Necromancer. The poor necro needs amazing life force up time and gain like this benefits the reaper. To be perfectly honest this trait should be placed somewhere else so the class as a whole can benefit as it single handedly solves the age old case of good life force gain which we all have been craving.
it would be good yes and at least give the DS something worthwhile over RS because currently, mechanically Reaper is miles ahead of what necro is.
Honestly plague sig needs to be unblockable and possibly the dagger 4. Just another thing that would allow builds to branch out of constantly taking soul reaping while still allowing a reliable transfer.
This also leads to vital persistence being baseline but that’s another issue.
