You’re all pointing fingers at the celestial amulet when it CAN’T be used for every class. Guardians/thiefs/mesmers/rangers Suck with celestial amulet while engis/eles/warriors excels with them.

Stop talking about the amulet. Talk about what these “op” classes have in common and why…

Does everybody really think, “guardians are in a sweet spot”, or has the guardian simply been given up by the majority of players for being pretty useless in everything, because all other classes can do it better. Guardians have been neglected by the developers to a point, where your team is weakened, if you take one with you. Yeah, bunker guardians are great, but, only if his opponents don’t know how to chain interrupt him and finish him off in something under 3 seconds. The offensive guardian needs to be extremely well timed while playing and quickly loses a fight, if he makes a single mistake or gets interrupted. And if a guardian has to run, it happens now and then, he can’t go invisible, poop grenades, illusions, turrets, marks, traps, … he has to “sit in his silly staff-speed-buff” for 4 seconds, if it is to last a while. the guardians spirit weapons are close to useless, because skilling for them makes the overall build silly at best. perhaps, if the spirit weapons allowed for the same kind of healing mechanics as the meditations, the’d be viable again. guardians are also clearly lacking in mobility while also not being able to go into any invisibilty (god) mode.

if guardians are to be played as “first in and last out” they clearly need to be rebalanced and improved.

obviously i’m putting in a few words in here FOR the guardian.

I’m going to say bunk guards are OK for the simple fact that they are viable in top tier pvp. No other guardian (currently) are as viable as bunk guardians. No one else can bunk + support as good unless you’re whole team composition are celes-self sustaining dps classes. Otherwise bunk guardians can still make a big impact.
Medi guards in top tier about as useful as rangers. Let that sink in for a minute.

Guardian buffs
-Shield: give it aoe aegis and/or reduce shield cds by 20%. Shield #4 protection increased to 4s, up from 3s
-Supreme Justice: Burn proc duration is also increased by 25%
-Searing Flames: Number of targets affected increased to 3 (1 aoe burn removes a boon per target hit)
-Focus #5 and mace #2 blocks always supercedes Aegis.

Kindled Zeal
There’s no reason to use kindled zeal over Amplified Wrath. Ever.
I thought that if higher amounts of power/might would better Kindled Zeal but there is no build out there where kindled zeal > amplified wrath. It’s built to increase the condi damage we don’t have! If our scepter added bleeds it would make more sense.. but currently theres no reason for Kindled Zeal to be in the guardian trait line.

I’m glad OP isn’t a developer. This list is just silly. Adding a UI element doesn’t get rid of passive play. No nerfs to Sigil of Battle or other overpowered sigils.

Sigil of battle isn’t overpowered.

celestial ain’t the problem, it’s might stacking.

Having a 30% gear advantage isn’t a problem? Cool story bro.

(So others know it went from 318 to 448 per stat. Celestial got an increase of 130 per stat or 30% buff.)

So were do you draw the line? Drop celestial to 20%? Nerf these specific might stacking classes? The runes?

From these pass tournaments, what’s the performance increase of celestials compared to other amulets and builds – the point difference due to builds?
My point is, not every ele and engi are celestials. If the point differences are between 400-500, it’s more towards rotation and/or minor adjustments to class balances themselves (not celestial itself)

There are few classes that makes use of celestials.

My suggestion is to remove precision and vitality from the celestial amulet. (Those stats should not exist together with power condition dmg and critdmg). And buff the other stats accordingly.

This way if that certain player needs more crit chance, it would have to either go on the precision line, or swap out Strenght/Hoelbrack for Pack or other runes.

This will fix a big chunk of the “poisonous” current meta problem that we have.

Don’t nerf the celestial amulet. There was a reason it was buffed in the first place. It’s now on par with most amulets out there with 1-3 builds out of 8 classes utilizing it.
The issue is the builds sustain; large amounts of damage and regeneration. OR the inability to boon strip and better counter these huge sustaining classes.
Otherwise, why have a build that lasts just as long as a zerker, or does just as much damage as a clerics.
Celes is the middle ground that didn’t anticipate (30s through the fight) that extra 7s of zerker damage because of 15 stacks of might.

I will say, however, is that my friend is using a 61601 condi/hybrid (or it’s equivilant) build of mine and it took her to the top 250 in the leaderboards (or what ever put her in Llama gift status)

She’s doing consistently well. They mainly have her roaming between home/middle and can take on most people in 1v1’s (at home/far). She does well enough in zergs to be the bridge between ‘full team wipe’ or ‘we just wiped them’ status.

Just food for thought.

This build is almost identical to what I run in pvp honestly, except for staff I run GS. Works well, and it plays the way I like.

if you run with gs how much might stacks you have at the beggining and the middle of the fight?

Actually Fire Shield (Leap inside PF) can offer quite a bit of might without being a complete punching bag like staff’s #4. Running that combo and the regular auto attack rotation, you’ll probably get 7-8 stacks of might with GS alone.

maybe bunker guard but again turret engi can hold point better even in 1v2 scenarios

and most of you compare the hybrid guard to engi role

what is the current comp?
2 engis, saff ele, thief, ranger (condi or power)?!

If that. It’s usually 2 ele’s, engi, thief, war or necro or (big maybe) bunk/shout guard.
All of which are Celestial with the exception of thief and warrior.

I can’t think of many scenarios where a hybrid will outshine a full zerk meditation guardian. Even in most 1v1s I see the advantage going to zerk. A hybrid relies on drawing the fight out to try and out sustain the enemy while a zerk will burst it down quickly. They fundamentally play different. Take thief for example. They melt after being pulled in with greatsword > WW and a few auto attacks. Against any zerker class I would give advantage to the zerk meditation guardian. Beyond that, like a celestial d/d ele, I could see a hybrid having a better shot in a sustained fight.

Disagree. Even the OP stated condi is better in 1v1. Thieves are already easy vs guardians so that’s a mute argument. Condi guards make better node defenders. Period.

Second of all, lets talk numbers since you seem to have a hard time understanding where i’m coming from.

Build 21614 (or equivalent meta)

The damage and roles are clear for both builds. Obviously, raw damage is good burst while the hybrid build is favorable against sustain classes with high damage mitigation/blocks/blinds/dodges.

Before you come back with the “But if you miss, then you can’t burn” argument…
In a group of 5, Whirling Wrath hits 42 times (including projectiles)
That’s 14 burn procs with permeating wrath.
Burns stack at max, 9 times. (it’s a mechanic thing)
You need a minimum of 27 hits to reach 9 stacks of burns.
9 stacks of burns is 12s worth of burns or 6,732 burn damage per person.

Conclusion
When they dodge/blind/block 15 hits worth of Whirling Wrath (for zerks that’s about 7k worth of total damage in a group) i’ll still give 33,660 worth of total burn damage, or 12s worth of aoe burns.

Shield should be a weaker version of Spirit weapon shield. sShield does damage, aoe aegis and blocks projectiles for long intervals while still able to be mobile.
-The shield should have a mobile effect to it
(currently you can’t move)

-It should have a 2s aoe aegis
(currently a shield that can’t block)

-It offers a very weak heal and aoe protection instead of damage dealing
(which is ‘ok’)

Why are ppl still trying to make Condi Guard a thing? Wanna play Condi? Go Engi, Necro, Ranger, whatever, all these are better than Guardian for condi play and any team, ANY team in their right mind will pick this to any Condi Guard out there. Condi Guard to have damage comparable to Zerk Medi will lose all team utility. Zerk Medi already has few, but will still have some because of the boon destribution and group condi clear. Condi Guard loses all that in orther to stay up with the damage of the standart Zerk Medi. Well then I will use the Burst Medi, and I want to see you do similiar damage after that ….

Those games also have a higher subscription than my gym membership. Lets not forget that this is a free-to-play game here. Expansions, game additions, things that costs money, will be added a bit later than the average MMO game.

Also Anet aren’t going to add a huge expansion pack without addressing the game’s original content. There is Much that Anet can do to the current game. They’ll put another coat on it once the current game’s “skin” has been exhausted. That goes for PvE and PvP alike.

Gem Store Proposal

I got back into GW2 this pass summer (yay me!) and I’ve realized I missed out on several gem store skins. Like numerous other people, I love finding new themes, toys and armor skins to customize my character till my hearts content. I’ve missed a lot of opportunities in the past, as well as the present, for the simple fact that I didn’t know about it.

Other than logging in for the first time and reading the news or browsing the gem store, there isn’t another method of finding that “New” back piece, armor skin or seasonal finisher. I’ve been told to go to a third party site for additional news but doing that is more of a hassle. I suggest some type of email notification of some sort that summarizes a brief update of gem store items, future skins and pve/pvp news update, etc. So casuals like me don’t miss a thing when we’re studying-away for finals.

There are seasonal only skins which are fine for holidays, but skins that fall in between the seasons like the Scarlet armor that released between March-April, Toxic armor and dye in Nov-Dec, as well as numerous others, should come more frequently for casuals.
The main holiday gem store bonus’s are fine for seasonal, but I’d like a quicker wardrobe rotation in the gem store instead of seeing the same months old skins every day. Again, this falls in the “notification” aspect of things to appease for casuals like myself.

I’ve noticed people getting very creative with their dyes and armor skins. Just a few days ago I saw a Norn dressed as “The Incredible Hulk” and looked very awesome. It would be cool if there was a fan-based section depicting different cosplays, listing several entwined armor sets and dyes. The thread can pick a monthly winner for best costume and be put in the gem store for visual appearance, listing the person’s armor sets, dyes, etc. Additional gem store promos can influence player customization.
Would love The Hulk fighting Iron Man in a match some day

Although i’m not entirely sure if it’s legal for Anet to physically say, or post, marvel characters, i’m sure there’s a cosplay legality there somewhere :P

Spirits are especially useful against melee or stationary classes like turret engis. Mainly because of the higher burn uptime along with the spirit weapons base damage. They pack a punch with a little cc when they’re on you. The weaknesses are them being easily kited, killed easily in zergs and their cooldowns. You’re only half as good without them.

If I couldn’t beat spirits with my usual burn build I would suggest them. They’re not bad per se, but they can be outplayed easily.

I have a friend who uses spirit weapons in my tpvp and I would take him over most guardian for the sheer fact that he’s good. Although, I would still argue that my burn build is just as good and more reliable, spirit weapon builds are good in their own way.

I used to run a 4/6/0/0/4 condi guard but for awhile now Radiant Retaliation has been completely broken (does nothing)… so that build doesn’t work anymore. Reported the bug in-game and in the bug forum, so hopefully our condi retal trait will eventually get fixed.

Funny, I made a similiar post about radiant retaliation doing mediocre damage compared to Power. But was later told the damage difference was there so idk. Regardless, Radiant Retaliation doesn’t make a huge difference for it to be a grand master trait. Gs #4 and radiant retaliation should be a sought after combo but no condi guard will touch it.

What ive noticed (for WvW anyway) is that you have to be very careful what stats you give up in order to take condition damage. Hybrid means power/condi so you need power and condition damage. Now Vitality is also important to a certain degree so that you can handle the condition damage and burst done to you. So it would seem the only stats you can readily give up are ferocity and precision and to a somewhat lesser degree Toughness too.

Going full Carrrion i think causes you to lose way too much toughness which means you “take” much more enemy damage while not really boosting overall DPS that much. A mix of Soldiers/Carrion gear gives a combination of Power/Vitality/Condition Damage/Toughness. Optimizing that combo should give good direct damage combined with steady burn ticks, while still giving a measure of protection via Armor.

Some of the builds ive seen have less than 2500 Armor which i feel doesnt do well in a larger group setting. Gearing for 2700+ armor effectively reduces incoming direct damage by over 8% while reducing burn ticks by approx 50hp/sec.

Any thoughts on this?

Between our blinds and blocks, we have little to no issues against other raw damage classes. It comes down to timing and being outplayed in that aspect.

If you have more sustain, then you will have less damage per sec. I’m curious how much you take away from power, vita, or condi to optimize your hybrid build.

To op, I strongly believe every class should have a “go to” build. Medi guards, turret engi’s, power necro/rangers, hambow warriors etc. Where some classes are easier to play than others, they are all still beatable (in theory)
Also, not everyone is a good turret engi… no matter what build, there are Always bad players out there butchering the class.

In a condi hybrid build, raw damage build or Bunk build, there are better sigils. Can they be dodged and blocked?
If it was 4 hits towards 1 target I would consider it but right now it’s a gimmick sigil.

It should have been a 1s cripple hitting 3 people, imo.

You’re preaching to the choir. We’ve been asking for a revamp on shield 6 months after game released yet they managed to fix shield #5’s bug, nerfing it further.

Aegis alone would do wonders for it. A grand master trait offering Aegis to shield skills would do wonders for it. Pretty much every idea the Guardian community asked would do wonders for it. But alas! They have not touched it.
How many top tier guardian utilizes a shield?? This goes for tpvp WvW and PvE. It’s a mediocre, underused thunderbust.

For starters this is very op. It also moves further away on what the Guardian is… In that he is Not a Paladin.

Also it’s difficult introducing an entirely new game mechanic like Fanaticism (name sounds like a Mesmer trait) unless you turn it into a quickness, which could work but for 2 seconds. Cd can be for every 10s or so. Even then that can be really op if it pops when you’re stomping.

No, I don’t think I missed the point. This is why I clarified, I wasn’t trying to say players hated solo arena (outside what you mentioned). Again, the reasons I mentioned, which at best, are only summary of the team’s reasons. The two big ones (in my mind) were that 1) people wanted a place to play casually with friends, but in a more structured environment than hotjoin. 2) Players had valid criticism of the solo ladder, which would be true for nearly any ladder that is solo in nature because Gw2 PvP is a team game. This is why we shifted away from solo/team to unranked/ranked.

Dota2 and league are team games. Why do those games offer solo matchmaking and solo ladders?
Man, you sure are a hipster.

They have the population for it.

In those games one person can carry the team by either,
a) Be numerous levels higher or
b) kill the whole enemy team by him/herself.

Let’s not confuse what type of game this is people. To make a full picture all the pieces are needed. This is a Team Oriented game.

Rank Solo Queu should never have existed. The Devs said as much.

for 1v1 maybe but just take doom and geomancy sigils which give you every 10 sec swap poison and 3 stack of bleed for 10 seconds which is 5k dmg and you dont sacrifice your elite unless you need it for escape matter
krait gives you also bleed duration which is not useful with guardian burning

thus flame legion is much better as it give 30% burning duration, +7% dmg and power based
balthazar is also useful even 1v1 as it gives you aoe burning so usually when the enemy burst on me i use heal and burn him for 4-6 sec as they never dodge when i use heal skill (and you can get 100% duration with 4,4,6,0,0 and sigil)

What I meant already took geo and doom sigils into account. In otherwords, the extra sigil damage and poison from Krait is still barely enough ‘oomph’ against cele ele’s. But you’re right this is all 1v1 situational stuff.

With my build I used shattered aegis because of the possible extra aoe hit it gives, procing aoe permeating wrath. I’ll probably still use shattered over fiery wrath for the sake of the build.

Interesting fact:
Whirling Wrath hits 14 times. 7 from sword and 7 from those flying projectiles. With 3 people that’s 28 hits.(projectiles hit only 1 person while sword hits all 3)
At burning being capped at 9 stacks you’ll only get 9 seconds worth of burns maximum (assuming 1 burn is 1 second) unless you increase burn duration. Legion turns 9 stacks of 9s into 9 stacks of 12.6s. Theoretically almost 3k more aoe burn dmg in a group of 3 people using whirling wrath.

Needless to say I’m going to start using Flame Legion and compare. I personally like krait over Bal rune but maybe that’s a personal attachment I have to the rune :P

Each attack counts as your hit. Having multiple hits on three people with retaliation = half of your health lost.
It can be dodged and blocked.
Highly unreliable and is likely to kill you than help.

Mainly useful for bigger burn duration skills like JI and VoJ. Of which will likely get cleansed off, unless you’re playing with baddies. It would be incredible if VoJ’s passive would be a full two ticks (hence my thread about supreme justice) but that’s currently not possible without sacrificing traits.
As for its burn on heal, I can’t save it for a finisher like rune of krait. It’s also dodgeable making it unreliable but still better than Mad king.

I use Rune of the krait mainly for its 4k burst effect. It literally makes a difference between winning or losing against a d/d celes ele when they are at 40% health. It does just enough damage (mainly poison, -33% heals, and torment) to be able to burst them down before they renter water attune. 6/1/6/0/1 is still a cele ele killer.

Of course krait is always cleansable. Use it as a finisher when they have 30% health and it wont matter.

It doesn’t matter… There are Numerous bugs that’s been around since launch. For some reason Anet isn’t worried about it.

This may sound silly…but if we develop a petition to fix these bugs then it may actually go through. Would need an extensive list of ingame bugs, 800 worth of signed names, stick it in Anet’s face then maybe they’ll take care of it.

This has hardly any effect on casual PvE so why would they fix it?

Actually the only bug I want fixed is “teleport”. It currently has the shadow step mechmic. That’s really all I want fixed

Matchmaking doesn't seem improved

The majority of the complaints from these threads are solo players. The changes that the devs are implementing are mainly effecting that group. At this point it’s safe to say that solo queue matchmaking is non existent and steadily getting worse.
Unless you’re on an actual team, bad solo queu matchmaking is going to be here for awhile. Especially the daily, class specific rewards being allowed in team ranked pvp.

Tournaments should be part of the pvp season. Similiar to Golf rankings, every game/major tournament counts towards your leaderboard rank in the season.

Situational, at best. That’s my problem with the burn hyrbid guardian hype.

There are too many different guardian condition hybrid builds for different objectives. I can’t switch these builds every time I run into a player to fit my needs. Every thread I have seen praising the condition hybrid or condition guardian all fail to provide a solution. It’s always, “this hybrid build is great for 1v3s, this condition build is great if they have lots of cleanse, use this one if in a group fight!”

What if we want a build that works overall? What if we want absolute resolution in case we run into a PU Mesmer or PD Thief but we still want to keep heavy damage? I can’t see hybrid condition builds for guardian working well in that regards, simply because you’re trying to fit too many features into a class that can’t handle it. And yeah, you might find success against certain classes or bad players, but how does a single build work as a whole? How does it do in team fights, 1v1s, and against every build their is out there? How does it perform overall? Meditation Zerk excels in this because it’s trait distribution allows for much more. Burn hyrbid, not so much. It’s too spread out and all over the place. You’d have to tailor it for certain situations, and if you’re fine doing that, then fantastic, but for those of us who want a build that excels overall, burn hybrid isn’t for us. If Amplified Wrath wasn’t a grandmaster trait then the build would be much more viable.

Not directed at OP or anything, I realize this is just a composition of builds. I am merely expressing my opinion on the Hybrid – Burn hype.

When it comes to 1v1 burn guards excel over medi zerks hands down. This has already been proven time and time again. I’ve witnessed it first hand, watching what zerk meds can and can’t beat in koth while condi rekts most ele’s, condi ranger, pu mesmers/phanta can be more difficult but still beatable, etc. There’s very little argument when it comes to node defend and 1v1.

I like using 20606 hybrid. It does just enough to 1v1 and just enough to make a huge difference in zergs. Call it personal preference. In the end the player and team comp makes it viable, not the build

If you do hybrid Meds, then havok and other small scale will work just like it does in pvp.

Saiyan has the right idea for Zergs though. with permeating wrath (and supreme justice if you’re ballsy) you can pretty much guarantee everyone will be on fire. Let them waste their cleanses while you just auto attack and do your thing.

The problem im finding is to trait permeating wrath and supreme justice and fight real T1 sized (easily 40+ zergs), i dont think you can get enough toughness/sustain to survive inside the zerg in order for permeating wrath to do its thing.

Ive used supreme justice with GS Scepter/Torch medi hybrid build and that works totally fine against huge zergs because you can use the Scepter from range (3 attacks proc passive VoJ burn) and then just pick your target switch to GS and leap in to finish them off. But with Permeating wrath you need to be up close and personal the whole time for the AOE burn to be of any use in which case you will get 5-10 enemies immediately focus on you.

How i wish Permeating Wrath procced at target location and not around me.

I don’t think I’d want to be in any 40+zerg lol. But what you can do is teleport your gs #4 symbol+JI, pop Shelter and elite, then run away if you can
maybe weapon switch and flashing blade to a target further away. Either ways, gl!

If guardians has access to at least one more damaging condition… Any I mean… I would give it a try. You can constantly apply burning but many prof can constantly remove a single condition. And this is my problem.

Sure it can work in PvP but I’m more of a WvW lad and this won’t really work there.

Anyway Holl: sorry for my criticism and thumbs up! Keep trying out non-meta builds and keep posting them… Possibly more player joins you (and forming a new meta)

Try 20606 with permeating wrath and supreme justice. The aoe burns hit for 600 a tick to every single person. Let them waste a shout to cleanse something that will proc at every hit.
Also for a zerg that’s already half way finished, people have already used their shouts and bigger cleanses especially if your necro teamate is there. They have little to no cleanse left for your longer duration burns like JI.

New Leaderboards - Positives

The leaderboard shouldn’t be a grindfest board. If someone plays an average of five games a day because that’s all their life afford them then they should be able to compete on the leaderboard against people who lack of a better term no-life it.

The system just needs to be weighted.

I personally don’t care as the mini llamas and Glorious armor pieces mean nothing to me. I climbed to the top twenty five first day of patch, and by no means the best of my class right now. I play to learn the game and have fun, not play 30 games a day just for some leaderboard status.

You see the same people in the big tournaments for a reason. They put in time. They are the best players. Not many teams form on any serious level.

Why reward “top na teams” if they only play 1 game a week? This isn’t the previous leader boards. This isn’t a tournament. It’s a pvp season.
That said, teams/players who are consistently getting that 400+ point margin shouldn’t earn a point if they have (obviously) high mmr, or, high on the leaderboards. Shouldn’t LB rank 1 already give you high mmr? I’ll let the devs handle the data and recalculate what ever they need to recalculate from this test season.

It’s not a grind. It’s being consistent. If these players stop playing, they risk losing that position. If they aren’t winning, they risk losing that position. There are numerous teams and players who are doing what the current top rank 25 player’s are doing. Just inconsistently so.

Regardless, ESL tournaments and the like will reward you not just fame, but an all around bigger payout. Why give these players automatic top 5 on the pvp season leaderboards?

Experts: What class carries solos best?

Wrong. The answer is anyone who’s a good point defender. If you roam far and hold the point all match, wining 1v1’s and even 1v2’s, that build carries the team. I’ve done it numerous times on a burn guardian. I’ve seen it done with a hamwar and turret engi. Rarely will I see it with bunk classes. Bunk classes rely heavily on your team for additional support. If you have a bad team, a bunker can only do so much.

I will say that certain player’s mmr is false or poorly calculated. Mainly because of bad luck; getting put with a bad team and/or going against a premade. It’s why games with a 300 point difference happens.

One game I had two mediocre thieves. I was at far and got zerged. Told the thief to go to mid, instead he goes far and instantly dies. As nicely as I could, I told him to not engage a 3v1 and learn from his mistake next time. The other thief decided to 1v1 a warrior at our treb instead leaving to help else where, like a thief should.
A ‘higher’ mmr player can only do so much in these type games. It’s what we’re all experiencing.

Summarize and solution in solo there are more bad players than good. That fact is clearly evident. It’s going to take x amount of games to list that person’s true mmr. In the mean time, you’ll have to endure and hope to win a game or two. Or forced to que later when bad-player-rushhour is over. I recommend a minimum of X amount of games won in practice, or, have a minimum of “average” mmr that reflects tpvp as a whole. Even setting a pvp rank 40 requirement would help tremendously. Right now _anyone_can join solo tpvp.

The same thief who 3v1’d admitted the fact he made a mistake. He then said “I’m not bad, my rank is 29”.
…well then.

I was running 6/1/6/0/1.

Balthazar runes and sigil of smoldering got me to 2 sec from the burn on block. So +100% burn duration.

Correction, that’s only 95% increased burn duration. The tooltip rounds up if you’re 10% away from 100%, saying you have 2s worth of burning but you don’t.
With that build a single burn block will only tick once in spite the tooltips.

You can debate this till the end of days but your forgetting one simple fact.

In the majority of fights the guardians burns won’t even matter at all because other people with more + condition damage will apply burns that override the guardians thus pushing them in the back seat where they will rarely if ever tick.

Only if that class’s burn damage is higher than 800, which is the average damage when traited Amplified Wrath. Otherwise, yes you’re right.

[Suggestion] Change "Retreat" Shout

There’s numerous aspects from GW1 that wasn’t added to GW2. Changing it wouldn’t matter. Ironically, I recently used the shout in a tpvp match, I heard the voice “Retreat” when we just hit middle. Awkward.
“Make Haste” makes more sense.

Also is there a way to disable character voice dialogs? It’s highly annoying, especially in heart of the mists and hearing 20 people say “I feel stronger now”

Searched through the thread and I didn’t see anything, but has anyone else had trouble with Focus 5 not preventing you from losing Aegis? I’ve noticed it several times, and it seems to me that despite having the shield up and blocking attacks, my Aegis buff is removed after the first hit is blocked.

That should be the case but it isn’t… currently Aegis has priority over other blocks, even if Aegis was on before other blocks are activated. If this wasn’t the case other people would pop Aegis for the 20% increase damage, then focus #5 to keep aegis as long as possible.

Also, our “Teleports” from Flashing Blade and Justice Intervention is actually a “Shadow Step”. Shadow Step’s mechanic allows you to teleport Only if you have line of sight. Wood and other materials are considered “see through” allowing you to Shadow Step through. Explains why you can’t “Teleport” off of the glass panels on Skyhammer, even after the glass breaks.

Highly annoying. A Teleport mechanic suppose to enable you to teleport anywhere you see fit.
The tooltips needs to say shadow step instead of teleport…. or fix the teleport mechanic. This being the only method of guardian mobility, we can’t be limited to not “teleport” because a pebble was in the way.

With so many tournaments going on like ESL, etc, why isn’t that an in-game feature yet? Starting a “que” is essentially the next team from their bracket. Weekly tournament with gem prizes, but team registration costs x amount of gold or gems. Why isn’t a team registration like this, whether it be 2v2 or full teams, implemented yet?

Yea you can dc and get -3 off right away, yet your team can still win. He dc’d once, that 1 game loss costed him 2 points, making his total 9 rank points. The leaderboard just doesn’t show that.

Jokes aside turret engi’s and ele’s are difficult but competent team can just rotate around their turrets and out play their engi.
Lately i’ve been getting double downs states with everyone except warriors who seem to out play me, from time to time.

If top NA teams are saying to nerf ‘said’ class then sure, maybe I’ll take threads like this seriously.

Instead of rewarding you for losing, this leaderboard.

I couldn’t agree more. I don’t know if it’s because of my high mmr… but I’ve been playing with and against top 25 na players. Dropped from rank 300 to 54%. That’s because the past 2-3 games my team hit 300-400 point margin against players/premades with 80%+ win rates.

Oh and unofficial player list is unofficial. A few people on there are overrated.
