money and karma, that are the “quick ways” to get the achievement done, and they of course cost money/currency, i thouhgt the fix would be related to the free drinks you can find “elixir of heroes”, but it was an abused mechanic that they fixed, good fixing.
on the gw1 related note, the drunkard title it was different in the begining, it was more of a grind, becuase to get the drunkard title, it wasnt with points that you acquired it, but rather on time spent with the screen being drunk like, so it wasnt 10,000 points of alcohol, but it was originally 10, 000 minutes of having the drunk screen effect.
Yes, in the beginning it was horrible! You had to time your drinks to get the best effect and keep it there. I tried and gave up until they made drinks spammable. You really want painful, when I got my party animal title I used mostly snowman tonics from the snow ball fights in EOTN. You would use a tonic, then have to warp to another zone, use another, warp. If you where fast, you could use 2 tonics after you zoned. Only title where I farmed 90% of what I used, with the rest being donated by guildies.
LOL! Yeah, anyone who played GW1 will be VERY familiar with doing this. I have the sweet tooth, party animal and drunkard titles. Most painful of all the titles to do.
700k karma? not bad at all, heck, even 80GP is not bad compared to what we had to pay in GW1 for some of the titles.
BTW, I do agree, 100,000 is a little crazy. 10,000 was all that we needed in GW1, and that was with some drinks being worth multiple points as well.

I found 1 the first week I played. Sold it on the TP and financed buying a load of unidentified when they where only 5 gold each.
Support website is down, how am I supposed to get help?
The support website is up and running fine. If you cannot get to it, you may have malware on your computer that is redirecting you.
Charr are pretty much ripped straight from the Tauren of WoW. And I’m pretty sure they are one of the more unpopular races in that game. Not sure why a developer would choose to make that a playable race. A better alternative would have been Ogres. Again, you want more people to play your game then give them cool races that they want to be. Who wants to be a cow?
Tauren? not even close. If anything, the Charr are more like Kzinti , and they pre-date wow by nearly 40 years. GW is not wow, it is not D&D, it’s a different world. Why should it have the same races?
There are many MMORPGs and other types of games that do not have elves, so why should this one?
I think we should just get it over with.
Add mounts.
Add raids.
Add elves.
Lower the graphic settings to cartoonish.
Start charging a monthly fee.
Change the name of the game from GuildWars2 to World Of Warcraft 2
Only then, will the players be happy.
I have seen some private forums setup for specific servers, but no “official” ones that I am aware of.
With guesting, it’s really not needed for events since anyone on any server can participate in an event on any other server.
Surely there’s atleast SOMETHING that can be done.
He needs to open a ticket with support. Click on support on the top of this site, then the “Ask a question” link. If he has not heard anything after 3 days, he can post in the “Tickets for Review (3 days and older) [merged]” sticky thread at the top of this forum section.
Can you post while banned?
Some say they can, some say they can’t. either way, you can still contact support even if banned, and if he can’t post, you can post for him in the 3 days or older thread as long as you post his ticket number so Gail can reference it. Like mercury said, he may have had his account hacked and if so he should be able to get it back.
so apparently the message body cant be blank in order for me to attach something so here is your “15” your looking for , what a horrible first impression of the game and support in general.
You should post this in the technical support forum. This is for account issues, so it is very doubtful you will get any help here. You can try asking a mod to move it for you.
A friend of mine was banned for helping me create an item, I sent him all the materials and when he sents the item back he gets banned. The bot that u have that bans people should be able to keep track of what has happen and not perma ban someone for not doing anything wrong. How come it didnt ban me then for sending him 250 Glob of Ectoplasm and some other of the items?
Both me and him have post tickets about this, mine is 130403-000087
Just an FYI, you should not open multiple tickets for the same issue. It will only slow the response time and take even longer to get any help. If your friend has not heard back in 3 days, he can post in the “Tickets for Review (3 days and older) [merged]” sticky thread.

lol, sorry, but I found this quite hilarious. Not so much the trolling but the fact that Anet is responsible for this happening in the first place by not having a secure, controllable LFG tool in game.
Contact the people who manage that site, they have feedback links in several places. Explain the problem and they may be able to IP ban the person making those posts from their site.
IP’s change (sometimes daily) for users on certain DSL lines etc.
They don’t change enough to stop an IP range ban. When you run a website, it’s pretty easy to setup a filter to block a small range of IPs. It’s also very easy to see if there are any other visitors from that same range who would be effected. No other visitors, just means they can ban a range without worry. And if the people running the site have access to the server, they could even block the MAC address. That’s a LOT harder to bypass and a lot more fun to do. ;-)
Bottom line, don’t contact Anet, contact the person running the site. They should be able to do something while Anet cannot.

Well I’m 50. What some of you “younger” players forget is we older players have a lot more disposable income to pour in to gaming.
Some say it is a legend, other say they have actually been there! For those who dare, I call it WvWvW
Very nice and polite way to say it mate, I would’ve said:
we don’t need open world pvp crap in gw2, play WvW like a man or gtfo, or what you can’t take it when you can’t just gank and grief the people questing for pve purposes.Dete ike, konoyaro, do aho.
Except hes talking about unexpected pvp which means, hes not the one ganking but doing something then bam someone is in his face.
I agree with him. I played Aion for a long time before the pvp nerfs, and some of my best moments were while I was out leveling an alt then suddenly getting jumped by an assassin, surviving fighting them off then hunting them and their friends down where ever they were hiding. Hours and hours of fun were had with open world pvp.
And hes talking about a flagging system so if you don’t want to pvp open world well you wont, and therefore cant get ganked or griefed.
Stop jumping on ideas and being verbally offensive and generally making crap up that wasn’t even said.
Seems thats all these forums are made up of these days.
1 thing you have to remember, is those of us who have been here from the beginning have already seen these threads come and go over and over. We have already discussed it and moved on a long time ago. When someone new comes along and rehashes the same old topics again, well, no one really cares. Been there, done that. The search function here on the forums is REALLY bad at finding the old topics, but they are there, filled with the same suggestions and answers as this one.
You have been playing the game for over 6 months. You knew the rules. You even said you enforced all of the rules on your own guild website! The below is from your own guild recruitment post.
NOTE
All GW2 Rules & Policies are heavily enforced both in game and on our website. We have advanced security measures & log systems initialized into our website and any breach of the GW2 policy will end up in a instant website ban as well as a IP ban from even being able to access the website.
So when it comes to others, you enforce all rules in and out of game, but when it comes to yourself, the rules do not apply? After reading that, I find your whole complaint offensive.
First off its not like I’m going around cussing people out and calling people fouls names exc.
In general ill toss a f bomb out or A words or whatever generally when I talk. I’m not gunna dumb kitten down just because people can’t handle it. It’s a game I want to talk freely with others who talk freely too.
If you don’t like the foul language at home like you said in your huge reply, turn your chat filter on and you won’t see and cuss words.
Banning someone for dropping a f bomb or using a fouls word is stupid. I don’t know any adults who are perfect and never use a foul language.
Just to be clear here, I’m not going around in game insulting people with foul language or calling people bad names. I got temporarily banned for using foul words in a general statement.
For example when I die in AC: “**** man almost had it kitten I almost had it”
If someone uses foul language in real life, it’s understandable. Everyone slips when they are upset or excited. When you type it in chat, you CHOSE what words to type. Like has been said over and over, the filter is NOT a license to swear, if you don’t like it, leave.
Anet does not give warnings. The TOS was your warning what would happen if you violated the rules. You chose to ignore the rules, now you have to pay the price. No sympathy as your attitude here speaks loader then any words.
If you don’t like the rules, ask for a refund. Anet’s refund policy is very generous for an online game, or do a charge back. Either way, no loss to the community.
I feel like the people who barg in saying things like ‘Ugh not this again!’ and ’Daily mount thread" should be infracted because they are not contributing to the discussion AT ALL.
Anyways, I think I remember anet saying mounts wouldn’t happen AT LAUNCH. They have never said a definite NO. Fingers crossed!
I’d settle for gem mounts but I’d love a speedy one.
I just want a pony anet PLEASE!
I’d love it if mounts could be customizable. Think Sims 3 pets. the horse builder is just too cool!
I feel like people who create threads for subjects that have been discussed over and over again should be infracted (or better yet BANNED) for cluttering up the forums. This is the reason the mods have to keep merging threads.
On the top of the page, in the box labeled “Search the forums” type the word mount.
There was just a thread just yesterday, and pretty much every other day for the past 6 months.
I think if enough people ask for it, they might deliver. Would be a great way to attract more players.
Been asked before, even in GW1, and the answer is always rightly no.
Instead of making a new thread on a subject that has been talked about to death and back, post a suggestion in the suggestion forum where it can be buried and put to rest quickly.
I had that happen to me, I logged out, logged in with a different toon, then logged back in with my main again and visited the Chantry and it worked.
Have seen this as well on FA.
I had the same issue. I was able to complete it and get the last item by guesting to a different server.
I find most of them pretty ugly to be honest. The one or 2 that are decent are for different classes then my main, and just not worth the time or effort required (and no way are any of them worth paying gold for). I will stick with my HOM skin.
I don’t think there will be anything special.
There is a good chance for April 1st at least. If nothing else, the devs have always had a great sense of humor.
All races are transformed in to Asuran, and Asuran are transformed in to Charrs.
I have seen this said so many times, and always cringe when I do, but it does fit from time to time.
There are plenty of other games out there if you want mounts.
If it means that much to you, I STRONGLY suggest you go play one of them as Guild Wars is not suited to you, or more precisely, you are not suited to playing Guild Wars.
I really have to wonder, why do people start playing a game that is different from all the others out there, then try to turn it in to “the other game” that they like to play so much? If you like the other game so much, go play that and leave us alone. GW2 has been perverted enough by players trying to turn it in to another clone, enough is enough. Go away.
No, “you” want mounts.
Many players have no interest in them. They would serve no useful purpose in GW2 and would only increase server load and lag.
Please search the forums as this has been posted at least once a week for the past 6 months and another thread is really not needed.
how do i report a bunch of guild members
in Account & Technical Support
Posted by: ShiningSquirrel.3751
I had a group of actually stop at the end and demand I give each of them a few gold or they would kick me. I did not even bother to report it as it was not worth the effort or my time, but it is 1 of the many reasons I do not play with any pugs ever.
I have seen more then my fair share of Alienware laptops with video problems. It’s actually nothing more then a Dell with a pretty skin after all. If you received the 6 beeps, BSOD and black screens, your video card is failing/failed. Either send it in for warranty or RMA it as it is only going to get worse.
scenario: 5 new accounts are created and the only activity they see is a one-time login followed by a transfer of goods to another account.
ie: exactly the kind of pattern that a bot-detection software is looking for
Your really stretching it a bit there. There is nothing about it that would set off any bot detection scripts as someone botting would have no reason to do that. Botters don’t purchase accounts for single one time use, they purchase them to bot. Just purchasing the account in the first place would cost more then the Z Keys could be sold for so they would have to be some kind of math idiot to even think of doing that.
Lets see, buy an account for $5.00, to get an item you can sell for $1.50, yup, makes sense to me, LOL!
Purely GW1 tips here:
- Every new account gives you 10 zaishen keys > 50k.
- An account can be as low as 5 euros in bargain bins. Buy tons.
- Most points are money based.
- Buy accounts, convert to zaishen keys. Move this money to main account. If you want to go the pay2win route, you can easily get to 20 points by merely spending money.
This sounds like an excellent plan to have your ncsoft account banned altogether.
And why would they ban you for spending money buying multiple copies of their game?
Many GW1 players have multiple accounts. At the start, you could not purchase additional slots so many of us purchased additional accounts. Anet was aware of it and never had any issues at all. Trading between your accounts has also always been done. That’s how many of the GW1 players got so many mini pets so quickly.
As to the HOM rewards, it’s simple. They are supposed to be your legacy from your GW1 player characters. If you never played GW1 and have no player characters, how can you have a legacy?
So now players are sauggesting to “stand in line” to wait to kill a boss?
I am sure I read some place, some time, some where, that some dev said that would never happen. It seems the more they do, the worse this game gets.
The short answer is that new content is not going to drive people away from the game. There is absolutely no evidence to support that it would.
New “good” content maybe, but badly implemented and badly designed? That’s a whole different story. I left due to new content, as did the 20+ members of my guild.
New content drove players away from the game.
There is your evidence.
I played GW for over 6 years and I do not have GWAMM nor will I ever be able to get it, because I got to 49points out of 50 and GW2 started. I have no complaints at Anet for not letting me get my last point for GW1 in GW2. I did not make it and so be it.
The number of points you have in HOM has nothing to do with the GWAMM title.
The GWAMM title is given for completing 30 titles of the 43 available ones.
As to HOM, what is stopping you from going back and getting your last point?
Good post Almeida.7562. Very good points and exactly the kinds of problems my guild had before thay all left.
Trying to find them by searching the whole area is going to take forever. The easiest way is to just ask in map chat. Someone is bound to know where they are and reply back.
It’s ok to kill the hundreds of other animals and also humans, but you have a problem with the rabbits?
By humans you mean bandits/pirates, and by animals you mean hostile monsters of nightmare? If so, sure.
Not all bandits and pirates kill people. Without a trial, which is not held, nobody deserves the death sentence. Obviously this is game, but since we are using realistic reasoning, I jumped on.
No, NEVER kill priates! The lack of pirates is what is causing global warming!
It’s on the internet so it must be true! ;-)
I’m sure nobody would intentionally kill somebody’s beloved pet, which is what you’re implying
If only that where true.
I deal with a number of rabbit rescues around the world, what I have seen tells a far different story. And almost none of them, if any, are connected in any way to gw2.
And your point? I will not kill the in game rabbits. If you have a problem with that, it’s YOUR problem. You can play anyway you want. I don’t know you, don’t play with you, so who cares? I will play the way I want (which is not at all currently) and it’s actually rather odd that you seem to care so much how I play? I wonder, can you explain how a complete stranger not wanted to kill an animated animal that I see as a pet in an online game effects you in any way, shape or form?
I think the point is…why are you till posting here and of all things on this subject?
Not to get off topic now, but since I stopped playing, I am no longer allowed to read or post in the forums? You can’t answer my question, so you try to take it off topic? Get lost troll.
If you’re not even faced with the choice whether or not to kill the rabbits, because you quit playing, who are you to sit here and complain about it as if it affects you at all in the least?
Why don’t you go on a Red Dead Redemption forum and complain about all the animal skinning that goes on in that game?
The $150.00 I paid to arenenet gives me the right to voice my opinion. If you don’t like it, don’t read it. I do not play curently, but I CAN play any time I like as long as the game servers are still up and I abide by the TOS.
They do not discuss Guild Wars on the “Red Dead Redemption” forums. I know this may be confusing to some, but useally a game forum is only for that game, not games by other developers.
You do not have to do it.^^ But OP wanted it taken out so nobody could do it. But really where will you draw a line? Kill 50 Mobs is ok, but some rabbits is not? It should be left to each person if they want to do that or not?
I never said I agree it should be removed, I simply said I did not like it. I actually don’t like the whole daily system itself at all, but a few of them are worse then others.
Are we now not allowed to voice our opinions unless it’s to play fan boy?
I said I would not do it, I did not do a lot of the crap anet added in the game but what does that have to do with anything? If all you want to hear is praise for the game and don’t want to see anything negative, you may as well turn your computer off now.
I’m sure nobody would intentionally kill somebody’s beloved pet, which is what you’re implying

I never played Eye of the North. Is there anther way to unlock these items within GW2?
I’ve seen the two chests in the Hall of Monuments, are they only for Eye of the North players to unlock in GW2?
No, there is no other way to unlock them.
The chests you saw are only for decoration, there is nothing in them and they do not open. You “talk to the ghost” to get the skins.
I’m sure nobody would intentionally kill somebody’s beloved pet, which is what you’re implying

One of the reasons I quit. They may as well have added a daily for clubbing baby seals.
You have to wonder what the devs where thinking. In GW1, the brown rabbit in pre was always a favorite. The rabbit potions and the rabbit minis where also always very popular. So what do they do in GW2? turn them in to something to kill for points.
If they think that way, why can’t the charr toons hunt the human children for thier dailies?
BTW, while playing I had a bunny who would many times sit next to me to get his head rubbed. Rabbits are the 3rd most popular pet in the world right behind dogs and cats, so those of you making the rude comments are just showing your ignorance, and thats another reason I gave up on this game. Tired or dealing with players like that.

1.) what made you choose and stay on the server you’re on?(guilds and friends aren’t a valid reason since transfers were free for four months)
Stopped reading right there.
It was a good game when it was first released, but IMHO, it’s been going down hill and now, not so much. Some day they may capture the magic they had, but I am not going to hold my breath.
Griefing is a part of GW2, it’s not going to go away, and nothing will be done.
Find yourself a good guild or a small list of friends and do not play with strangers. It’s the only way to protect yourself.
Very well stated critickitten.1498.
Let me tell you about myself and how I feel about the current game.
I am a huge fan of Guild Wars 1. I was (and I use “was” because that is the correct term now) leader of a very active but small guild. I loved the game so much, I created my custom icons, wallpapers and even a screensaver. I even contected Anet to get permission to do all this as I wanted to share them with the community. I owned 3 copies of each game/expansion, 2 of which where all collectors editions. (thats 12 games and expansions with 8 of them being collectors). I purchased multiple slots on all and expanded storage all the way around. I have 50/50 in HOM and have every ranger pet in the game unlocked. I even have someone working on making me a life size copy of our guild cape to hang on my wall.
When GW2 was released, I got the collectors edition as well. Our guild from GW1 came to GW2 with high hopes, and expanded our ranks quickly. I purchased the charr plush, and even have an in game charr with the same name “Charlie the Charr”. I purchased gems to fill out all my storage and bank slots. I have 2 level 80’s, 1 with 100% world completion.
Last night was the first night since release I did not log in. My guild is dead. I was the only one who had logged on in months. I no longer do dungeons as the community as not “nice” to play with, lets leave it at that. FOTM naever had any draw to me. I did my dailies every day, just from wondering around and playing, not really even paying attention to them until I was ready to log off, just to see what I needed to do. Useally they where done far before I was . While I still love the franchise, this game is just not something I enjoy any longer. The living story seems like kind of a joke. The content was finished in 15 miniutes time, tops. Yes, I know more is coming, but there is nothing to do while I am waiting.
I too feel betrayed and lied to by the devs. This is not the game they said it was going to be, it is not what they promised us. I want to love the game, but each patch makes the game less and less fun to play. I probobly have spent over $500.00 between the game itself and gems, and I can honestly say I did get my monies worth, but I just can’t see any reason to keep playing. There are no goals worth working for and nothing that actually feels fun to play. I don’t see myself playing again any time soon.
I know many here will just make some snide remark, "bye bye, don’t the the door hit you, etc, etc, but I would hope that a few of you, the devs included, would see that I am truly sad with the current situation.
(no, you can’t have my stuff)
That’s your opiniuon, but the facts say something different.
What facts?
Even your link doesn’t support what you claim. Have a look:
http://tv.rca.com/company/history.asp
It only mentions the name as the name of the dog being a mascot. It refers to the painting “His Master’s Voice” as the trademark “acquired by the Radio Corporation of America.”I’m not convinced, especially when you come here and say “That’s your opiniuon” and talk about “facts” without supporting evidence. And why does it matter? Why debate this? Because this is somebody’s in-game name that has been ripped away. Yes it’s not our choice to decide, but what am I supposed to do when somebody says it’s a trademark when it’s clearly not?
According the the US patent office, the name “Nipper”, Chipper" the image of the dog and the record player as well as the phrase “His Masters Voice” are currently owned by “RCA TRADEMARK MANAGEMENT SA CORPORATION FRANCE 46 Quai Alphonse le Gallo Boulogne-Billancourt FRANCE” The registrations are active and enforced.
I already said it was up to Anet, but you chose to ignore that. I gave you the terms to search for, and you chose to ignore that as well, but you where quick to jump on Michael’s search. It’s all a moot point. “Nipper” is the registered trademark and name of several bars, a toe nail clipper, a line of clothing, a toy, a drink and half a dozen other things. Your opinion means nothing . My opinion means nothing, no one heres opinion means anything, not even the OP. The only opinion that matters is Anet, and that is between Anet and the OP.
I just want a pony anet PLEASE!
