I saw one ad the other day with the text, “we are a group of elitists”. I was like…wow…at least they own up to it. XD
But yeah, it’s getting old. Going to be thankful for the CoF nerf, honestly.
Perphection, thanks for confirming that your intent was indeed to provoke and annoy. I’ve had plenty of fun in WvW; someone offered a positive view of your guild’s actions in WvW, I offered my own and it happened to not be glowing praise. Tough. I have every right to do so. Kind of like I have every right to /laugh at your guild guarding +5 PPT while insisting that they’re being useful.
And lulz, Waffler. Try a little harder.
EDIT: Oh, and a brand new lol for you, Perphection. I’ve since swapped to my solo roamer build and had a few direct fights with your guild. You’re laughable. How many times did you rally yourselves while fighting an equal number of pugs? I counted at least five.
(edited by Sil.4560)
If you’d like a fair fight I’ll gladly accept. PM me anytime.
Hahaha. You’ve proven to me that you only care about wandering in a little karma train to take out loners while camping a camp to protect a whopping +5 PPT. I’ve already seen what I need from our equal number encounters with your group; “fair fight” is not a concept that you seem capable of grasping and I’d not waste my time with you.
Oh, and while you were supposedly helping your server by trolling the N camp:
(edited by Sil.4560)
lol, why kudos to vT? All I’ve seen them do is run around stomping lone players and flipping empty camps. When approached, they run for the hills.
We ambushed them not even that long ago in N camp – an even fight – and utterly wiped them.
A game which has been out for years is more complete and complex than a game that is just approaching its first anniversary? Imagine that.
I have to believe that most people don’t even care what they look like, they just want the “prestige” of the weapons. Myself, I love how Sunrise looks, but Frostfang and Howler I mostly got for the stat advantages they’ll provide later. The fact that one breathes ice and the other makes one of the game’s most obnoxious repetitive sounds on loop if you switch it out sometimes is just a bonus.
I’ve crafted them, but only for precision. If they can put me over the threshold for an extra 1-2% crit chance, they’ve served their purpose.
Sil, why would that open a hornets’ nest? I agree completely.. WvW needs command and control over a huge army of independent people who (for the most part) have no willingness to follow orders.
I’ve seen a couple of threads before where people argued back and forth over the subject, haha. Agreed on what you’re saying though – it seems to be a test of a person’s charisma to get those individuals to cooperate in one direction. It’s pretty cool to see in action.
1. Have tried PVP? If not, why?
2. Tried it and liked it or not?
3. Are active PVP players?
4. Done both WvW and PVP: which do you prefer and why?
1. I will not participate in PvP in this game for as long as I play it. Until the general gamer attitude regarding competitive play seriously changes in online gaming, I have no interest in involving myself with others in such a way.
2. N/A
3. N/A
4. I do play WvW. For starters, it offers a more diverse array of actual scenarios than PvP and it gives more freedom of stat selection than the garbage amulet and jewel that PvP provides. Secondly, my enemies are anonymous until I elect otherwise – this minimizes rude behavior from my opponent. Oh, and just to smash the hornet’s nest, WvW involves just as much player skill as PvP while also incorporating an aspect of leadership.
lulz
You people are always so quick to cry “character assassination” or “ad hominem” forgetting that it needs to be used in place of an argument with an intent to discredit you. I really don’t care to argue your ridiculous thread one way or another. It’s plain as day what your underlying motives are; you try to present yourself as oh-so-different from everyone else making the same arguments and all I’m doing is laughing at you.

ITT: Thief talks about how balance isn’t important to avoid changing the status quo. Report away, I’m well within my rights of saying this. Best yet, it’s totally true.
not interested, go to a custom arena for your dueling needs.
This.
People bother me enough in WvW with demands to duel. I definitely do not want PvE overrun with the same crap.
That’s why they should be ashamed when we curb stomp them.

I don’t use attunements with my right hand. I have a Nostromo and use four directions on the thumbstick for my F1-4 keys.
Oh, no, there’s still more that can be done. This looks like a good move though.
Savage Leap would be rather crazy.
People keep saying it, but I don’t see why. Look at some of the ridiculous traited cooldown on a number of mesmer skills.
I’m somewhat surprised that this hasn’t become a mechanic in this game yet. We have a few unblockable attacks or skills that cause them and things like condition damage – which can only be reduced in duration – but no physical attacks which do a fixed amount of damage past armor and reduction buffs.
I feel like this might be an interesting direction to go with certain attacks (especially for warriors) if done correctly. I haven’t seen a thread about the concept yet; any thoughts?
Stun reduction doesn’t even have an effect on Fear anymore, from the looks of it; I know my necro is happy about that.
I hit an ambient rabbit for that just swinging my sword. So pro.
Any other class complaining on the warrior forum about their own viability is just funny.
Kill champions for a chance at a chance at a new crafting material once per day.
This wouldn’t be so funny if I weren’t afraid of it being true…
Agreed…
I’d have dropped the giant and then left the event chain stuck right in the middle before guesting to a different server, just to spite them. People like that are obnoxious as hell.
I’ve found the banner regen to actually make a noticeable difference over time when facing harder content with questionable groups. To use it, sometimes I play with a 0/25/0/30/15 build. You get to use a converting Warhorn with it as well. Damage isn’t as high as a glass build, of course, but in worse case scenarios I find that I live a lot longer. Very self sufficient if you’re not running with a dedicated group. GS/Axe+Horn.
Of course one of the standard PvE builds is now the 30/25/0/0/15. Your main group contribution comes from the sky-high damage you deal, provided you know where to put it and when to evade. GS/Axe+X.
Both PvE builds benefit from having pretty much every other weapon in your bags for utility.
For WvW, I usually run something along the lines of 0/0/30/10/30. Hits like a truck and is pretty durable also. Not especially designed for 1v1, but if they screw up even once you can bring some serious hurt. Hammer/Sword+Shield (Horn and GS in bag for mobility).
Haha. I will say, I wish I had the Yakslapper title. Would be so perfect for fighting Yak’s Bend.
There should be a Sweaty Neckbeard title.
I beat him before his nerf. I will say the repeated use of the unique skill is a bit annoying though. We only get to use it once. =(
Simple: He’s a leech.
Or a free bag, depending on what side you’re on.
I choose magic find because I only do wvw and magic find build really makes sense.
Does not compute.
Replace all bosses with Simin, High Priestess of Dwayna.
I think it was actually an secret magic incantation involving players’ 2 keys. Between the Zhaitan battle and thieves across all servers, ‘2’ was finally pressed enough times to release the energies necessary to form more ascended gear.
“Group Event” just means it will sometime take longer than a normal event.
“I make a pretty good team!”
If I can do something alone, I’ll do it. I tend not to like group-based achievements because I don’t find I can rely on others as often as I should like.
I’ve been using the 12 button Naga since I started. Awesome mouse.
To all of you people suggesting PvP to get a precursor, no part of a legendary requires involvement in PvP currently; it has absolutely no place in the acquirement of a PvE skin. None.
because its funny to see you opponents dodge weak flashy attack
it not fun to be rooted with a hit me sign
Any skilled opponent is going to look for specific tells to avoid, not blow their dodge on auto attacks.
To be fair B is derived from A, so while A is not B all of A is within B.
But it’s all really pointless because it has nothing to do with how a competitive leaderboard should be scored.
I’d say it’s a stretch to say that all of A is within B in this case, but I’m in total agreement with it not being how a competitive leaderboard should be scored. Personally I don’t think dailies really belong either.
Skins are more or less endgame in GW2. I’d consider it part of the gameplay as a highly desirable object that is part of the core experience.
Still dodging the question.
As I’ve said, there is no need to answer it because it is an intentional fallacy.
There is a reason there is a ‘2’ in the game’s name. I’m hoping you are smart enough to figure out why.
Because it’s a separate game. 1 is not 2.
You obviously care as you keep responding. Also, I am fairly sure there is only one person in this thread with selective detachment from reality…and it is not me.
Standard “no u” response, moving on.
Do you know the definition of lore? Or what a sequel is?
Separate game. A is not B. 1 is not 2. You fail.
So remove the points from both. I’m drawing benefit from having daily points, and I’m fine with their removal.
Good day salty QQers.
The fanboy is strong in this one. Your entire post consisted of nothing but insulting others and insisting on the same “moremoremore” mentality I’ve already pointed out. And you wonder why people persist in disagreement with you.
If it really matters to you, there’s a simple solution. They keep the points, but they won’t contribute to leaderboards. They’ll just move them up a level for in game rewards.
This would be a start, since it’s too late to take back any rewards that would’ve been gained by the additional tier worth of points anyway. People insist that the leaderboards are non-competitive, but by their very nature they are exactly that. Hell they’re even numerically ranked.
Ironic part is that you’re the only one arguing every single post in both threads. =p
The pathetic part is that if you had half a mind to actually read the threads, you’d see that that is a blatant inaccuracy, exaggerated by yourself in an attempt to discredit me because you have no argument.
Try harder.
Oh lord, another person arguing in favor of the AP, most likely going to cause the argument to resurface here. You people just never learn. Gotta get that last word, don’t you?
lol, I was content not to hear from you at all again in this thread after the posts were deleted. You’re the one who elected to start in again.
There’s really no point in even arguing any of this with you. No matter what real example I provide of one person making a difference (myself and/or others), you’ll write it off as somehow not relevant or insufficient, because you are already fixated in your view of PvP > WvW in skill and honestly I have no interest in changing it because I don’t care what you choose to do with your game time and would rather not see you in the field in the first place. Your only interest here is to cause problems. I’ve no interest in discussing with you further.
I love how your post insisting we get back to the original topic was deleted, so you feel the need to return in and start things up again.
Regarding your opinion on individual skill, perhaps that is your own experience. I look for and make my own opportunities. One person can make a difference.
Round and round and round it goes.
I’m getting an Error 503, but should be able to find it on my own.
Haven’t heard that one before! Still not original, sorry.
Come up with something new to say. It’s just the same crap again and again and again. Dead end effort. I’m reducing your score to a 0/10 for failing to be original at all.
