If you still have stuff in your Guild Bank, just transfer back to CD and withdraw them all. Then, after 7 days, transfer again to DB and bring all the goodies with you.
^ seems legit. The interwebs don’t lie.
inb4 complaints that the new JP is too kitten
a side note – Rising, take a break from WvW, and help me with Griffon JP, ktnx.
There’s currently a bug where the horn can’t be heard in WvW. Anet is working on a fix for this. Soon, we’ll be blowing all our horns while marching in our zergs to the next tower!
You are mistaken. Thieves can still be damaged while in stealth. As for going invisible, we just do it for fun when you’re downed.
If you want the buyer to share in the tax, just sell your item for 10% more. And if you don’t like the taxes at all, feel free to sell your goods to the merchant. Problem solved.
Only after Anet releases the Faren swimwear “armor”.
We need Faren swimwear for charr in the Gem Store. My wallet is ready.
What if you Role Played for 3,000 hours in Divinity’s Reach. Should you automagically get an Precursor from that too?
It’s only a grind if you choose to make it one. Some of us are able to play this game normally, and have fun doing so. If we want to grind for gold or achievements, we do so without complaining.
New content that Anet gives us (for free) is in part temporary, and in part permanent. Be thankful you get more stuff to do without any subscription fees.
I hear you. I completed all the Drunkard and Sweet Tooth titles in GW1 by breaking my mouse. But per Gaile: one action per one key use per player.
And while she isn’t a “Dev”, she’s the ArenaNet Support Liaison.
This is from Gaile:
We’re not really in a position to give specifics like “How much can I get by with?”
While we are not, as we’ve stated many (a thousand?
) times, in a position to “vet” any particular program, it seems to me that auto-clickers are programs that do appear to give an advantage to those who use them. And that is against the rules, as you can read in the sticky post about our policices on Third-Party Programs.
I clicked 10,000 times for each of certain titles that I got in Guild Wars, and never resorted to using an auto-clicker. I suggest you do that same because these programs do not seem to conform to our Rules of Conduct or our User Agreement.
Mechanical = non-human interaction. And since we’ve stated that one action per one key use per player, and if it’s not a human that is doing the interacting, that seems cheat-ish to me.
So to be safe, I would not recommend using it. Risking an account ban for convenience isn’t worth the trouble.
tbh if i run two fractals for 3 hours and then like 6 dungeons afterwards and I’m sitting at 2/5, that’s a problem.
cut down 1 dungeon run, and you’ll finish your daily.
no?
So… in this case, doing a dungeon is clearly more important for you than your daily (which is totally cool, no problem there). What’s the problem then?
read my post above
If you only want to do Dungeons, and refuse to attempt to do a few other random tasks outside of your comfort zone, then Dailies aren’t for you. Problem solved!
I would pay Gems for a tool to increase the volume, so that I can hear it clear across LA.
Thanks anet, this is what we needed.
I agree! Anet should put out more awesome toys like this.
Geo. Seems you outspend me on this game. I’m not one to lose a good challenge, so let’s see if I can top your amounts. May the best man win!
It would be an epic joke if the Dragon Helms gave all females beards.
This thread is still around? Well, I think we should give the OP a break. It seems he confused GW2 for something between the real world, where dead things don’t respawn, and a single player game, one where you stop playing once you kill the end boss.
Seems you misunderstand how Daily and Monthly achievements work. You have a choice (from the list given) as to which tasks you want to complete. Don’t want to kill 10 World Invaders? An alternate choice is to Mystic Forge 5 times. Or go to a Kryta territory and rack up 40 kills.
You seem to misunderstand my point. I don’t care that it’s easy, it’s about as exciting as watching old people fart.
The Daily and Monthly tasks are designed to get players to experience the world. If you feel PvE isn’t your thing, then don’t do the Daily or Monthly. Simple as that. You aren’t forced to complete them. Enjoy the game as you enjoy it. But if you insist on wanting to get your “free” Laurel(s) for the day/month, you have no right to complain, as it’s your choice to want them or not.
Yeah, look, the thing is, I do enjoy PvE. I enjoy doing dungeons (not CoF. I’m not doing CoF ever again unless I want the armor skins) and high-level Fractals. The problem with me liking high-level fractals is that the Ascended Amulets are only attainable through dailies. And Ascended Amulets are a gear gate to 40+ fractals. Because I want to gear out all my characters with appropriate AR, I need to get them the Amulets, but for that I need to do dailies, which I like about as much as I like AIDS.
I’m not arguing to make the dailies easier, I’m arguing for alternatives for Ascended Amulets. Rings and backpieces you can get through Fractals or money (for the backpieces) and Trinkets can be acquired through Missions and dailies. I like missions, they’re fun and easy. Although I still think there should be more alternatives that are tied to Fractals for trinkets and amulets, because not everyone has access to a guild for missions, and not everyone enjoys doing dailies.
I don’t mind that they made ascended gear available through means that are not fractals, because I’m a fan of alternatives. But they should never have made Amulets and Trinkets unobtainable in Fractals, because that’s the area where they are most needed.
Their entire system to acquire Ascended gear is beyond kittened to me. There is nothing wrong with giving multiple options to acquire the items, but for some reason some dimwit Devs at Anet thought
Dev1: “I like doing dailies, I guess EVERYONE likes doing dailies! They’re easy and FUN!”
Dev2: “Hey, I got an idea, let’s make an item that you can ONLY acquire by doing dailies! I bet EVERYONE will love that, because EVERYONE will love doing dailies!”
Dev1: “Oh my god, you’re brilliant!”
Dev2: “Hey, and you know what, let’s make that item a necessary gear gate to high-end content, that way, people will love doing their dailies EVEN MORE!”
Dev1: “We sure are amazing and creative people, aren’t we?”
Dev2: “We sure are!”
I will agree that there should be another option to exchange, like Pristine Relics + Ecto or something for Ascended Amulets. I have a boat load just sitting in my bank, since I get so many Rings from FotM dailies. But another alternative to getting BiS that’s already in game is to do Guild Missions. They are some of the most fun and challenging aspects of the game. Without proper coordination though, you’ll fail each time, so keep that in mind.
Of course dailies are easy. They are just in general boring and frustrating – except a few, but they won’t get you more than 1/5, 2/5 anyway.
What bothers me and the OP probably too, is the fact that BiS gear is awarded for an acitivity that is neither challenging nor fun.
“Fun” is subjective. For me, doing a Dungeon is fun. Doing FotM is fun. Killing Invaders in WvW is fun (and challenging at times). Mining Orichalcum is fun. Killing things in a Kryta territory while attacking a World Boss is fun.
Sorry you don’t find it fun. Perhaps Guild Missions would be more up your alley? You can get BiS gear with the awards from those.
Mag has too many Commanders that lead us off high cliffs.
*Looks a Paralda and Xushin

Dailies are fine, except that they go against Anet’s philosophy of killing X amount of enemies to complete your quest.
Dailies are optional, thus there is no requirement to complete. They reward you just playing the game. So if you’re in Kryta, and end up killing 40 monsters, bonus for you.
Unfortunately Vol, the thread is from January, and it’s been debated already. But allow me to clarify, as I wasn’t clear in my previous post. My mistake.
Multi boxing to play multiple accounts at the same time isn’t allowed. But if you want to have different accounts logged in at the same time, then yes.
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/account/Policy-3rd-Party-Programs-Multi-Boxing-Macros
^ Gaile updated her thread in February
Why are you necroing this thread? This issue as been debated and answered already. You are not allowed to play more than a single account at the same time. Doing so will risk your accounts for termination, as per the User Agreement.
As I had stated in a different thread, this is a problem that all MMOs face. The high level feeling of “entitlement” of some players can be disappointing. Never mind the fact that GW2 is subscription free (meaning you’re not required to pay monthly fees). Never mind the fact that Anet actually made it easier to complete Daily and Monthly achievements. Regardless of how much is done to help the players enjoy the game more, there’s this small percentage of the population who wants free stuff just given to them for little to no effort.
I don’t want free stuff handed to me, I want an alternative. Which is what most people opposed to dailies have argued for in this thread.
I’m not entitled to anything, except decent game design. Limiting a crucial item so you can only acquire it in 1 possible, incredibly grindy way is terrible game design. Make them sellable, make them cost ecto’s, make them drop in Fractals 40+, make them drop from critters, I don’t care, just give an alternative.
If your individual play-style is to only run Fractals or Dungeons, that’s your choice. Please don’t complain that Anet doesn’t fine tune the game’s mechanics to benefit only you. If you want do get a Daily, and you can’t do it with only FotM or CoF, get out of your comfort zone, and enjoy the other content that this game has available.
TIL people that run dungeons = people that only do CoF. I haven’t done CoF in over a month, and the only reason I did it was because I wanted some of the armor pieces for their skin.
My individual play style is to not do boring fluff. Open world PvE is boring fluff. Open world PvE is what gets you dailies usually.
All I want is an alternative to a broken system. The biggest problem with Anet atm is their stupid “Account bound” system that they slap on everything, even flipping drops.

You do realize that you’re not required to complete the new achievements, nor are you required to purchase anything from the Gem Store… right? They’re all optional.
You’re not required to play the game
You’re not required to take a bath
You’re not required to breathe air.kitten argument.
Of the three sentences you listed, the last one IS required if you want to continue to exist. The first and second are indeed optional.
No one hinders new players. Resources within the game are never permanently destroyed once killed. They respawn.
I sense a couple of mistakes you guys are making. If you follow a group that’s killing things before you can get to them, don’t follow them if you can’t keep up. Go in the opposite direction and take out mobs. Also, if you just stand there, and allow others to kill the enemy (without making a single effort to “tag” it), then the fault lies in the player’s actions. This is fixed by teaching the new player what “tagging” means.
Keep in mind that every Heart has a different objective. You’re not stuck with just killing a single type of monster for credit. Some have multiple ways to complete the Heart quest.
Seriously, if the starter maps are so fun for high level characters where were they before Dragon Bash?
By killing mobs in mass amounts and quickly they are making the game much harder for new players to also get kills that award things such as exp, loot, and hey guess what dragon coffers for them too.
We are not talking simply about hearts. Low level players should be able to farm as well.
Please read my posts completely because I have already discussed the spawning and tagging issues that are affected by this as well.
Stop trying to put lipstick on a pig. It is evident that high level players are trashing the low level maps simply for coffers. I have been playing for a while and I know how tagging and hearts work. I have seen this flood of high level characters in low level areas affect low level/new players in a negative way in pretty much all aspects of the PvE game.
I’m guessing you don’t understand how the game mechanics work. When a monster is killed, they respawn after a short time. They’re not dead permanently.
The best way to go about this is to teach the new player how to attack the enemy to “tag” it. Consider using a Ranged type weapon if they are too slow to get into Melee range.
If the players in the map are killing things too quickly, then DO NOT FOLLOW THEM. Go in the opposite direction, meaning away from the group. This isn’t just for higher level “elite” players. You can have a zerg of low level players, their combined attacks and AOE can still take out enemies fast.
Going back to completing Hearts. Not all have requirements to just kill things. It’s good to read what each Heart quest requirement is, and do something other than killing stuff.

I guess I missed that memo, since I’m having a lot of fun bashing pinatas. But the term “fun” is all in the eyes of the beholder. My suggestion is that if the Dragon Bash isn’t fun for you, do other content that you feel is “fun”.
Are you trying to say that us “elite” players shouldn’t be allowed to enjoy content from low end maps? I think that aside from the other people on the map griefing you with name calling, you’re also being rude to suggest that we not play those maps.
Please realize that having other down-leveled players in the area can actually help make Heart clearing faster. All you need to do is tag the enemy a few times, and you get credit for the kill, and for the Heart quest. If other people are clearing mobs, follow them and join in on the fun. But if you miss out on an enemy, it’s not the end of the world since they do respawn.
If you aren’t one of the player ignoring low level in the zone and killing everything is sight? Then no…not you. And it was already stated that the respawns were immediately demolished. Really isn’t hard to read…srsly
We’re not talking about the Hologram enemies. It’s the normal mobs and tasks for completing Hearts.
You do realize that you’re not required to complete the new achievements, nor are you required to purchase anything from the Gem Store… right? They’re all optional.
We got them for free, so there’s no room to complain.
If it involves laurels then I don’t think it will be a problem. After I got to 100 laurels I just stopped doing dailies. I’m sure there are people with 150+ with nothing that interests them.
I wish life was so simple for me.
I’ve spent 180 laurels on amulets and the utilities alone…
Were you the one complaining that Laurels are being manipulated by day traders?
I wish I knew what you were talking about. Time to lay off the pipe, son.
Sorry. You complain about so many things in this game, I lose track of what is what. That’s why I asked if you were the one who mentioned it. Maybe I’m confusing Laurels for Precursors?
Hurdur. SUPPLY DEMAND DURR kitten
When you learn what Supply and Demand means in an open market, driven by players, then you’ll understand.
Are you trying to say that us “elite” players shouldn’t be allowed to enjoy content from low end maps? I think that aside from the other people on the map griefing you with name calling, you’re also being rude to suggest that we not play those maps.

What I’m getting from this thread is what troubles most MMO games. It’s the players who feel “entitled” to free stuff. Some have that feeling that their purchase is more important than someone else’s.
I didn’t buy the CE because I have no need for a statue. That doesn’t mean I don’t support or love this game. I do love this game. I buy Gems to not only support my OCD habits of owning cool stuff, but to also support Anet. I never expected to get the free mini pack. It just showed up. Bonus! Happy me. Even if I didn’t get it, I’d still continue to buy Gems and play this game.
TL;DR – Be happy with what you have.
Side note – You’ve been getting a lot of extra content on top of your “paid for” game… for free.
Thanks for the research.
I would like to add that until we get very large number of attempts, I’m assuming Basic kits would yield as much as Mystic ones. My reasoning for this is because you’re not “upgrading” your salvage, nor are you trying to save a Sigil/Rune from the item. It’s a simple break down of an Ecto into Dust. Now if you salvaged an Ecto, and could get, say, Incandescent Dust with a rare chance to get Crystalline Dust, then I would lean more for Mystic kits.

I’m starting to think that Colin is trying to pull one of the greatest MMO pranks in history. Pretend Cantha is gone, and spread rumors that NCSoft forced them to leave out Asian themes. Then, when no one expects… BAM! Cantha expansion.
I’m gonna invest in Gems now before they spike through the roof with Cantha minis and weapon skins.
Crabtacular required skill to get. Only the most skilled players could get it constantly. Others who got it by luck, so be it.
As for Moa Racing, this is the best thing ever. The one way you beat RNG is to watch the patterns of the race winner over multiple races. With that information, you then have an idea of which Moa to pick. Then, right before you place your bet, go with a completely different Moa, and you may win more times than not. In other words, never go with the pick your gut tells you to.
You were saying I was making things up and suggesting I be honest and truthful. Call me crazy, but when people say that, it sounds like they’re calling me a liar.
And yeah, I get what you’re saying: support can’t help and Arenanet apparently didn’t think the whole guild thing through. In WoW, the guild leader can’t be kicked by anyone, and can only step down or be forced out if inactive for a long period of time. In GW2, apparently any shmo with kicking privilege in the guild can boot the leader and take over.
Thanks for letting me know my guild is gone and there’s nothing anyone can do about it. Geez.
I find it disturbing that you’re trying to put the blame on Anet, when your Guild Leader is the one who promoted the guy to the highest rank possible.
Now as others have mentioned, Anet Support is in a tough situation. How are they supposed to determine who is right and who is wrong here. Maybe there was outside communications over voice comm (like Vent or TeamSpeak) or phone call that transferred all leadership roles to the new guy? How do we know that you’re not making all this up to grief the new leader?
I’m against this. Having something that gives you a 100% chance at getting the uber drop is no fun. It’s much better buying a hundred boxes, and taking your chances.
Side note – If you don’t like RNG, don’t play with it. Simple solution. Then you won’t have to complain.
I think people are purposely not finishing the nests, as they are a great place to farm mobs.
Not everyone can master every aspect of the game. If you can’t complete the JP on your own, some Mesmers are charging 50~ silver for end portals. Just ask in Map Chat to see if anyone is offering.
Asking for a refund due to a mis-click on the creditcard screen, or from a bug that double charges you Gems is one thing. But to ask a refund solely on the fact that you want a cheaper price won’t happen. Should you press on and demand a refund, that may lead to account termination.
Spend your Gems on what you want to. If you don’t like RNG, that’s ok. Buy some character fashions that are available directly from the shop. Win/Win situation.
Any refund request or chargeback puts a black spot on your account history. Due to this, only Anet Support can make the decision to allow you back in game or not.
Well I agree about that part where you can’t salvage the backpieces. That sucks, because I was unable to get out upgrades I put in. I would love it if they changed this, since my only option to get rid of excess backpieces is to merch them.
As for Exotics that can’t be put on the TP, I agree that they should be Account Bound on acquire. It forces people who really want an item (i.e. Fractal Greatsword) to actually do the event or dungeon. It keeps the item rare and unique in that regards.
