those are about the achievements, not about the Quees and thats already off topic, I dont want a mod closing this so please stay on and dont make it a personal thing in the forums, I want to hear what others think especially Arena net if an overflow is even possible

I started on JQ. I left when they started stacking to be “the best” when they started poaching and buying guilds.

You took advantage of this to stay on the “winning” side, I was proactive and left because I disagreed with the stacking.

Anet said when the season starts… the top tier will have trouble getting in, you were warned and give discounts to move OFF those servers… now you complain cause you cannot play??

that makes no sense, why would people leave the server they started on? the guilds that they are in in those servers? leave to servers and abandon stuff like the community and friends all because WvW cant handle the number of people atm? I never stayed on the winning side, in fact Im not even on a winning side, I just stayed on the server I was in for a very long time, with my friends and my guild

good lord, I didnt come here to argue over stacked server, I just asked about the possibility for an overflow, there are people out there who have been playing on their servers long b4 leagues were even conceived and unable to play with what little time they have available from family or work.

please please dont troll the topic and let it devolved into another flamefest about stacked servers and whatnot, there are already 2 or 3 of those

of the Borderlands or EBG? not the new map since its still not ready, an overflow of the Borderlands or Ebg where we can just play wvw should help solve some of the pains for those stuck in Q and wanna play wvw.

Im no programmer so I dont know the intricacies of making overflow maps and linking them to those in Q, I assume its very difficult and time consumming if at all possible

people complain nobody plays wvw, people complain too many people play wvw, people want to get into wvw ahead of others because they are “higher ranked” or played the game longer, people play wvw only for achivements, people afk in wvw in spawn.

Im just gonig to say this now, there will be a ton of QQ when the WvW achivements come out, remember the kite in the Eb jp? or the map completion req. for the wvw maps? imagine that QQ but on a much larger scale, ranging from anet “forcing” players to do wvw for their achivements to complaints about Quees and not being able to do achivements cuz people keep killing them.

The WvW forums will be a messy place for awhile

In the case of coverage, until recently SOR had the best NA—JQ is now possibly on equal footing—and still maintains the best EU coverage hands down. JQ does not have a large, organized EU presence. In fact, we have no large EU guild like Iron or Coin, and SOR should be able to capitalize on that fact to gain back any ppt lost during JQ’s strong SEA coverage. SOR’s loss of ppt during EU last week had less to do with JQ’s superior EU coverage and more more to do with SOR’s mismanaged priorities and JQ’s SEA pulling overtime.

Also, SOR is not the underdog now nor have they been for quite some time. A few months ago Ward and Aco decided to move to SOR during a difficult time for JQ — a time in which JQ was definitely the underdog and precariously close to falling to T2 due to lack of NA and EU coverage — not because they wanted to move to an underdog server. No No No. They moved to SOR precisely because SOR had superior EU and NA coverage, and some members of WARD/Aco wanted someone to play with during the EU timezone. Thus the claim “SOR has always been the underdog” is definitely inaccurate at best.

As for blobbing, I’ve spoken with a few PRX that characterize the play style of SOR as closest to that of Vizunah. JQ is undoubtedly more willing to split up teams to hit multiple objectives on a map.

I think Coverage is a case on its own. Especially when IRON joined SoR there were many posts claiming their strength to be 50+ players and that wasnt true. Also your game experience differs when playing in different time zones and i can tell you, as being an european player, i also saw similarities between Vizunah and JQ back in the day when ATM ran mega blobs.

Thus i see your point but you can’t speak of half truth informations and exaggerations by SoR Players. Also don´t use words like “undoubtedly”. Afaik Good Old Days left JQ because there were long queues during EU prime. But that is just what i heard so it might be untrue.

leagues are moved to 18 and yes you will be able to transfer,transfers will not close,but you only only get the rewards on the server you FIRST LOG INTO when the league patch hits,so make sure you transnfer b4 logging into a server at that time

Why do you honestly care? Before the update it did not even exist as an achievement, now if you are an active WvW player then its not hard to get. If your not an active WvW player then you do not need to do it.

GvGs in Gw1 were 8v8, and I dont think the number of people playing that particular thing are enough for anet to spend so much resources on maknig an official gamemode, aside from the game not being balanced around it, guilds halls though sure why not

sounds like a pretty definite system to control imbalances to me.

first, because Im sure that the vast majority of players currently playing in one of the top 2 servers transfered there at some point in time. 90% of them would automatically -BOOM- dissapear from WvW overnight…man, that would be hilarious.

second, because the amount of people that is willing to start from scratch a bunch of chars, and re-level and re-gear them in exotics/ascended/legendaries would be a ton less than the amount of people that are willing to farm gold->gems for days then use the gems to switch their already pimped out chars.

so nope you are wrong. it has always been under ANet’s control. they just chose not to control it, because for them, allowing this clusterkitten is profitable in the short term.

Im sure they are well aware that, long term, this is purely suicidal…but everything points that ANet has just given up and all they care about is the short term profit.

Imagine the QQ on the forums and the accusations that will be hurled at WvW and Arena net when the achievements for wvw are rolled out, you remember the QQ about the Kite in the EB JP of people complaining about getting killed in a pvp zone getting to that kite? imagine that in wvw but while trying to fulfill the achivements, it will be an absolute spam fest, imagine them trying to flip a keep then getting wiped constantly, my kitteh the QQ after that

Loyalty? especially in your context? what in the world in this guy talking about, I might not like alot of what the devs do, but if this is the alternative my god I am at least a little bit thankful

PS, Im glad your organized guilds left your server, hopefully they will end up somewhere where they can have fun and make a difference with like minded people
