Worst part? They haven’t even acknowledged this bug yet. They put a tiny fix out for a Sigil, and yet haven’t said a word about this.
People are out there abusing this bug like no tomorrow, and Anet hasn’t said a word about it.
Lady Bethany Of Noh – Chronomancer – Lords of Noh [LoN]
I want to see a daily stream of someone at Anet making this Gift. I want to see how they accumulate the 100,000 nougat and the 10,000 candy corn before the end of this event and make this weapon.
I am seriously curious if they even know themselves how much of a grind they have just put into their game. I want to know how many hours they are playing every day just to get the amount of materials they are going to need to make this before the event ends. And no cheating either. Don’t buy it cause you guys have an endless amount of gold, and don’t use the stuff from last year’s event. Treat it like you are a new player who never did the event last year.
Then I want to see them justify it. I want to see them justify that this is fun and enjoyable content. Seriously.

Basically in the same boat right now.
Tired of the Living Story. They all have holes, they are just random and some don’t make a lot of sense. And to top it off, it is just an achievement grind for some backpack skin or a mini pet. It’s getting stale. Every two weeks is the same thing. A bunch of new achievements to grind for some skin or mini that has been temporary (most have been temporary, not all).
It just feels like filler content to keep us playing, something they said they would not do. All this heavy grind and time gates is exactly that. Content to keep us playing if we want the rewards. And temporary content that we have to do within a time limit. It just feels like an act of desperation to hold onto their players with all this grind and gating, instead of just making enjoyable content for the sake of having fun.
For me this is not enjoyable. I’m just tired of this same thing every two weeks and all these limits and “punishments” that they put on us. Guess this game is just not for me anymore with the direction they are going in.

Maybe it tells you something if we are constantly getting these topics after every single release.
Just a thought, but if there is so many threads on this after every release, maybe, just maybe, it should become a concern if so many players are not happy.
Or maybe it is simply a testament to the fact that no matter what people will complain about something?
Especially when most of the threads don’t even have any actual real criticism but just complains for the sake of complaining.
Every thread has real criticism, otherwise there would be no complaint at all. You just have to look past all the ranting and raving and see what the purpose of it is.
Some people feel like they need to express themselves with foul language and anger instead of properly explaining the issue. But the issue is still there, just under a bunch of nonsense. It doesn’t make it any less valid because of that.
If you actually take the time to understand where a thread is coming from, you’ll see they have valid complaints. Even if it is cluttered with a bunch of non-constructive content.
Lady Bethany Of Noh – Chronomancer – Lords of Noh [LoN]
Funny how we always get exactly the same topic after every single release ever released.
Not everyone is playing for rewards, or at least see the fun as reward itself.
Maybe it tells you something if we are constantly getting these topics after every single release.
Just a thought, but if there is so many threads on this after every release, maybe, just maybe, it should become a concern if so many players are not happy.

“Every patch that has introduced costumes/town clothing did so on day one. Not half way through the patch.”
Actually, that’s untrue. We’ve had times when new costumes/armor from the Gem Store came out a week after a patch, like certain town clothes and those new armor skins.
EDIT: That said, I’m dreading that next week will come without any new or old halloween outfits. I hope that’s not the case.
Except those weren’t introduced with a patch. They were randomly given.
I’m talking about Halloween costumes from last year and Wintersday costumes from last year as well. The costumes that came with the holiday were introduced on day one. Not half way through the event.
You are talking about costumes that weren’t tied to an event. I’m talking about costumes that are tied to events.
Lady Bethany Of Noh – Chronomancer – Lords of Noh [LoN]
ROFL@you lot. Give it time, geeeeeeeeeeeez. Like last year, everything wasn’t delivered in a couple of hours. Cracks me up, remember there’s still more content for THIS years holiday still to come. GAME ON
Like last year, we got costumes on day one. They are costumes, not actual content. They should be out at the beginning of the update, not later down the road.
Every patch that has introduced costumes/town clothing did so on day one. Not half way through the patch.
Lady Bethany Of Noh – Chronomancer – Lords of Noh [LoN]
Well, gem store finally updated and there is no new costumes. Not even the return of old costumes. Only the minis have been added.
Extremely disappointed.
Lady Bethany Of Noh – Chronomancer – Lords of Noh [LoN]
Yeah I don’t get why they do this. It really ruins the whole holiday.
Holidays are supposed to be fun events. Yet they put all this grind in them and make them a chore instead of actual fun. And I mean, seriously? A thousand materials just to make one? Did they not do the numbers themselves or do they just throw random stuff out there and think it looks good? No one could of seriously though that farming thousands of these things just to exchange them for one item was a good idea.
I have no idea what they were thinking with this. This is not fun. This is not a holiday.
Lady Bethany Of Noh – Chronomancer – Lords of Noh [LoN]
Yeah I saw that, but even that is not mentioned in the patch notes. There is no mention whatsoever of costumes in the patch notes, except for old ones being upgraded to rare status.
Last year we got costumes on day 1 of the patch. Would seem silly to make us wait till half way through the patch before introducing the costumes.
Lady Bethany Of Noh – Chronomancer – Lords of Noh [LoN]
Ignoring the fact that the gem store isn’t even updated or working for some, there is no mention of costumes in the patch notes.
They mention the old costumes being updated to rare status, which for some reason, I have no idea why they did that. They are town clothing. Their rarity doesn’t matter.
But there is no mention at all of any new costumes. This is a Halloween event. Costumes are a big part of it. How can you make a Halloween event without introducing costumes to wear for it? Makes no sense.
And like I said, with the TP down/not updating, maybe they forgot to add them in the patch notes? I seriously hope that just forgot to add them to the patch notes. I don’t want to find out that they didn’t bother to make new costumes for this Halloween event.
Lady Bethany Of Noh – Chronomancer – Lords of Noh [LoN]
Gotta remember as well, with WoW, armor is painted on your body. You don’t have different sized armors, it is all just body paint. And the cloaks are stuck to your back and only move on the bottom. They arc them over tails (Draenei and Taurens), which looks rather ridiculous to have a floating cloak over your tail. They just don’t look appealing at all in WoW.
In Rift, everyone was human shaped. There was no odd shaped races, so cloaks fit everyone easily. They just had to design them for one stature, not multiples.
GW2 is very different compared to the two. For one, armor is not painted on you. It all has different sizes and parts. Armor is it’s own 3D model, thus clipping comes into affect. And we have different races of different sizes and body types. Animations come into account too. We don’t all have the same movement styles. A cloak on a Human would be decent, but on a Charr, it would be a disaster.
Making one cloak, just one, would be a ton of work. They would have to fit it to every single armor set, every race, every animation, etc. It wouldn’t be as simple as WoW or Rift with their mostly human models and body paint armor. There is so many things to take into consideration with GW2 when it comes to cloaks that the other games don’t have to deal with, thus making it easier for them yet harder for GW2.
Lady Bethany Of Noh – Chronomancer – Lords of Noh [LoN]
Well if you’re into cosmetics, I’d say hold onto it until tomorrow. Tomorrow is the Blood and Madness update.
Usually it means new costumes, weapon skins, minis, etc. So if you are into buying town clothing and skins for your armor/weapons, wait till tomorrow to see what comes out. Every update always adds new things to the gem store.
Otherwise if you don’t care about any of that, don’t worry about it. If you are an altoholic, get three more character slots so you can have all eight professions. Banks tabs are nice, but a personal guild is free (of course you need to earn influence to get a guild bank). Bag slots are alright, but you can get by with large bags, especially since it is per character and not account wide. Makeover kits are decent if you want some of the new hairstyles and colors.
Just don’t buy anything that is a gamble. It is not worth it. Meaning RNG chests or Black Lion Keys. Even Dye kits. Anything that says you have a chance of getting something or a random item, don’t buy it. Don’t encourage Anet that it is okay to make these things.
But in the end, if nothing really catches your attention and you don’t see anything that is worth getting, you can always exchange it for in game gold instead.

Order of Whispers (Asura version). Not sure on the shoulders though.

to be fair, it does give you slit eyes
That’s one of the regular faces for humans, not the mask. The makeup you see is the goth face in character creation that gives those eyes.
The mask is… just the mask.

Still got my backpack, devil horns, Witch’s Outfit, All the minis (including Chainsaw the Skeleton), and tons of materials (fangs, nougat, candy corn, and skulls). Never got any of the weapon skins cause I hate the whole RNG chest thing.
Depending on the costumes this year, I’ll probably pick those up as well and any new minis and of course the new mask. Even though I’m not a fan of the new mask this year, if it’s free like last year’s mask, I’ll pick it up any ways.

On the subject of immersion for the poll…
Do you think it really matters? We’ve already ran over the line and then some on breaking immersion. I mean, every time we complete a daily, monthly, Personal Story, or an Achievement milestone, we have a giant picture of a chest with boxes in the middle of our screen. Not to mention whenever we get “special” mail, we get a giant letter in front of our screen as well.
And then there is the gem store items. Baseball hats with the GW2 logo on them, RayBan Sunglasses, Fuzzy Animal Backpacks, 8bit Weapons and Backpacks, T-Shirts with the GW2 logo on them, a “legendary” bow that shoots unicorns with the Arenanet logo on it, Modern Hoodies, etc etc the list goes on.
I think we are way past breaking immersion with a small poll in the corner of the screen. Honestly, it seriously feels like you guys don’t even care about immersion with half the stuff you release, so I don’t think an in game poll is going to matter.
Lady Bethany Of Noh – Chronomancer – Lords of Noh [LoN]
The game is totally alt friendly!
IF you don’t care about……
BiS Gear, Daily/Monthly are account bound, achievements are account bound, LS event rewards are only once per account, time gates are account wide, DR is account wide, Dyes are character bound instead of being shared, Laurels are one per day per account, Dungeons are once per day per account, FotM is per character, Ranks are per character, most event items are soul bound (backpacks especially) yet you can only get one per account.
And a few other things as well that I can’t remember at the moment. SO, if none of that is a concern, then yes GW2 is alt friendly.
Lady Bethany Of Noh – Chronomancer – Lords of Noh [LoN]
Honestly? I hope it’s Grenth.
Remember GW1 when Grenth would show up to ban people? Think of something like that. Everyone gets a box in their mail with some ominous letter. They open it, it falls on the ground at their feet, and Grenth shoots out and hacks you with his Scythe like in GW1 and you die.
I honestly hope it is that, cause I want to see the rage flood the forums.
I just hope it’s not another RNG Lottery Box is all. It could contain anything at all, as long as it’s not some RNG box with a “cold day in hell” chance at winning something.
That was Dhuum.
that’s the guy Grenth stole his god powers from….Dhuum is definitely more kitten

Wow. After seeing this and reading the OP of this thread, I just lost all respect. Seriously? Copy/Paste response? I’m sorry but that is extremely disrespectful. You couldn’t even take the time to address your players with a proper response, so instead you just threw up a copy/paste response. And you want us to show you respect and treat you with kindness when you pull stuff like this?
Just… just wow. Is all. Seriously you should just delete this thread now….
Guys seriously, I dont get what the big issue is… He replied in a thread felt like this was an important issue that had global implication beyond the specific thread he replied to so he decided to create a new thread on the subject and copy and pasted part of the response and added like 3x the volume of new stuff.
It would be disrespectful if he copy and pasted that response in different threads because then yet it would possible mean they dont really care and are just issuing template responses but copy and pasting a response from a single thread to a new thread and writing 3x the volume to it means exactly the opposite ie they care enough about the subject that they felt that the exposure of a single threat wasnt enough that it needed the attention of the entire forum.
If it really was something important that the whole forum needed to see, then why did it take them a couple weeks to make this thread here with the same response from an old thread? If it really need the attention of the entire forum, it would of been here two weeks ago when that response was first made, not two weeks later.
I’m sorry, but if they really wanted to address this issue, they would of made a new post about it instead of bringing up an old post from two weeks ago. It just looks lazy. And here they are telling us to respect them and don’t be negative to them, and they talk about communicating more and listening to us, and they give us a copy/paste response from a couple weeks ago? Yeah that is just wrong.
They didnt do the a new threat with the same response as the old thread. it just includes part of it.. the original post was 280 words long. this one is 777 words long. only part of it is copy and pasted. As for the time in between who knows, busy, he wanted to think more about it, he saw a second post that warranted the same answer so he decided to do a gobal one instead. There can be many reasons but one thing is for sure. If he didnt care why write a new post that’s over 3x as long as the other one?
Also the stuff thats copy and pasted has minor changes like
“we will achieve this” -> “We will work harder to achieves this.”
so its not like he copy and pasted without even giving a second look to it… and he didnt even do it to proof read it specifically considering there is even a little mistake in there
The fact that they copy/pasted the response to begin with, whether they added to it or not, is wrong. They didn’t even say “Hey we said this already in another thread several weeks ago, but we are rehashing it.”. They just posted it up as if it was something new.
The way I see it is like this.
“Hey the forums are getting rowdy again. Should we say something to them and calm things down?”.
“Nah, just copy/paste that response from a few weeks ago and it should take care of everything.”.
“Okay sounds good. I’ll add some little things here and there as well to make it seem like something new.”.
Because that is exactly what this post feels like. They didn’t bother to give us a proper response, and instead just threw us a copy/paste response to try to calm the storm, hoping we wouldn’t notice cause they added a few extra lines.

The forums will always be a split road. Especially when it comes to asking this kind of question, where most of the responses you’ll get are hateful. Because as we all know, game forums are the “filth” of the entire game.
But on to your question. Which honestly, only you can answer.
The game has seen some upgrades. A lot of quality of life additions that make things easier, along with things that seem to punish us more. We got a wallet now to store all that currency that they keep adding. A bunch of nerfs/buffs to professions that needed it (and some that didn’t deserve it). Performance is a lot better than it was when you played, though still needs a bit of tweaking. Culling is basically gone, with new “shadow men” replacing everyone.
One thing you might not like, depending on if you like farming and grinding. They’ve added a lot of that to the game. For a game that is supposed to not be a “grindy game” as O’Brien puts it, it has a lot of grind now. A lot of stuff is also time gated too, so you are limited on how fast you can obtain things now. DR (Diminishing Returns) is still in the game. Even more RNG than before, and it’s gotten worse that they’ve added more of it to the gem store as well (RNG Chests in the gem store).
Ascended gear. If you left back in October of last year, you missed this. A new tier of gear has been added. Remember when Exotic was supposed to be the highest tier and they said you should be able to get the best gear by the time you hit 80? Well not anymore. They added another tier called Ascended. And it is a grind to get. And it’s time gated too if it wasn’t bad enough already. Oh and don’t forget Celestial gear as well, which could be bad or good depending on how you see it. It is basically all-stat gear. Which some see as a tier, while others see as worse than Exotics.
Then you got the Living Story. This could be bad or good. Bad in the sense that you missed out on a lot of story that you will never get to see. Good in the sense that it is new content every two weeks (except the last two which was just an update to old content and a new path that replaced an old path). Downside to the LS, is that it is mostly been rushed content that is buggy the first week. None of them seem to mesh well and they are very random. The LS is mostly an achievement farm with the reward of a new backpack skin or a mini pet. On the upside though, it’s new content every two weeks to keep you busy with something to do.
In the end, the game is B2P. No subscription keeping you from not playing, so feel free to let it install while you are sleeping or something and then hop back in to get your own impression. Hope that helps, even though it seemed more negative than positive. Oh, and sorry for the long read.

Respect has to go both ways. Just saying.
Hate to be the one to post one of these types of posts, but here we go.
^This.
Just have one thing to say. You have to give respect, to earn respect. And with the way things are going and have been going on these forums, don’t expect to receive any respect.
There is so many things that you’ve tried to “sweep under the rug” and completely ignore. That is completely disrespectful. And then you make this post telling us all to be respectful to you after you have disrespected us so many times?
Yeah, no. I get it. It’s your way or the highway type deal here. But until you can admit fault and show respect to us as a community and not ignore us over serious issues and concerns, then don’t expect us to treat you any differently than you treat us.

Yeah when I heard “Mask of the Night” I instantly jumped to Music of the Night from Phantom of the Opera. Seriously thought it was going to be the Phantom’s mask with a name like that, but was rather disappointed to see that it was just a basic Mesmer mask.
It just looks very generic and as if it was something that was rushed really quick just so they’d have something to give out. It’s a very basic design with no special detail to it. It just looks like something that was cut from paper.
Just…. expected more really. I seriously hope it does something special at least like giving you glowing eyes or a weird effect. Cause if that is all it is, it’s rather disappointing.
Lady Bethany Of Noh – Chronomancer – Lords of Noh [LoN]
Surprised no one started this yet since the official page is up now.
https://www.guildwars2.com/en/the-game/releases/october-15-2013/
On a side note, where are the new costumes? I seriously hope they are not going to just re-release the old costumes instead of introducing new ones.
Lady Bethany Of Noh – Chronomancer – Lords of Noh [LoN]
Well, first off, it’s not account wide. Your birthday is not based on your account, it is on a per character base.
So you need to check the age of each character to find out how old they are. If you have constantly remade characters, then that is probably the first reason why you aren’t getting any gifts. The character itself has to be one year old.
You can check this by typing /age while on your character and it will tell you how long you have played that particular character. If it is not 365 days, then your character is not a year old and thus will not receive a gift till they are 365 days old. Remember, this is per character, not account wide.
Lady Bethany Of Noh – Chronomancer – Lords of Noh [LoN]
Sorry if this sounds awful, but the way I read Mr. Johanson’s response, was this:
We plan on allowing you to make precursors via crafting, but the piece of paper that says “Make precursors craftable” and that’s it, is somewhere on a desk of stuff that we aren’t dealing with right now. I know we already said that it would be available before the end of the year, but since we are not dealing with it and haven’t even bothered with it, I’m now going to tell you that it’s more than likely not going to make it by the end of the year. But don’t worry, we got plenty of other temp content and more stuff to delete from the game so we can replace it with new content to distract you from this and hope you forget about it (like they have done with plenty of other things already).
Sorry but after all the mistrust, lies, deceit, disrespect, and the complete reverse of direction for the game, that they have spread around, I find it hard to believe that they are actually working on this.
Lady Bethany Of Noh – Chronomancer – Lords of Noh [LoN]
Haven’t played much on Ele, so I won’t voice an opinion on something I know nothing about.
But Mesmer on the other hand, I’d say go for it. They are very versatile in PvE and PvP. And, if you actually learn how to use them well, you can use pretty much run any build to maximum effectiveness. But only if you learn how to play them.
And Staff builds can be viable in PvE, don’t let others tell you different. But again, that is only IF you learn how to play it properly. Mesmer is not a faceroll profession like others can be, it actually takes some skill to play them properly. Anyone can go the ol’ Greatsword route and do alright. But if you truly take the time to learn how to play (and this goes for really any profession), you can make any build optimal.
Lady Bethany Of Noh – Chronomancer – Lords of Noh [LoN]
They didn’t scrap it completely, a part of it is worn by Countess Anise.
There’s also this : http://bunnyforever.files.wordpress.com/2011/07/guild_wars_2__human_dress_2_by_yeewu-d3kjg4x.jpgHow does one put legs into that armor on the right?
As simply as putting your foot in it and pulling the boot. It’s not a rigid piece of metal.
That outfit (the one you linked) is used in the game by the female human nobles. You can see them mostly in Divinity’s Reach.
Though I do agree about wanting these armors/clothing released in the store or something. There is so many clothing and armor styles that are only for NPCs or only for PvP. Would be nice to get those released to the players. Make them cultural town clothing or something (as each race has plenty of outfits not available to players). Just make them available.
Lady Bethany Of Noh – Chronomancer – Lords of Noh [LoN]
Hate to be the one to bring you more bad news, but it is actually only for level 80. Not level 50 and above. The dungeon itself is for level 50-55 sure, but this one path is only level 80.
Lady Bethany Of Noh – Chronomancer – Lords of Noh [LoN]
I believe the item states that it is “Unique”. Meaning you can only have one of each kind, not multiples of the same kind.
The downside to this is, there is no ingame description of what Unique even means. You have to go to outside sources (wiki) to even know what that means, or you have to of had previous MMO experience (ex: WoW) to know what that means.
That is one of the major drawbacks to GW2. For those who are new to MMOs, they have no idea what half these references/tooltips even mean. And there is nothing ingame that explains it to you. It’s like they expect you to already know this information.
Anet really needs to put in some sort of warning or popup or something that explains these things to players. It is very unprofessional to not have any explanations as to what terms mean.
Lady Bethany Of Noh – Chronomancer – Lords of Noh [LoN]
The current issue with this whole “expansion worth of content via the living story” is that it is just a temporary solution. Eventually players will tire from the constant achievement grind (as seen on the forums by players who are already tired of it). Every LS that has come out is nothing but achievement grind for a new backpack or mini. They are buggy, rushed, story has holes in it that don’t make sense, a mess basically.
What an expansion would bring (if going by typical expansion guidelines) is a new race, profession(s), a new map, new “quests”, new personal story, new armors and weapons, and either new features or an overhaul of existing features.
With an expansion as well, it puts Anet back into the spotlight. Right now, there is nothing really out there to advertise GW2. Nothing that is catching the eye and making players check this game out, or want to return to it. An expansion would definitely turn heads and show new and old players that GW2 is still alive and strong and now expanding with something new. It peaks interest and sends fan sites and game sites in a tizzy with all the new information. It gets the word out so to speak.
This LS content is not doing that. All it is doing is the whole “keep players playing” content (which is something they stated they were against doing).

Here’s something you have to remember, Anet didn’t release Factions until 2 years after Prophecies and it took them 1 year to release the Stone Summit patch. It wasn’t until after the success of the Stone Summit patch that hey decided to finish up Factions for release. When they announce Factions they also announced that they’d be doing a Standalone every 6 months for GW. We ended up getting Nightfall 6 months after Factions and EotN a year after. Then Anet announced GW2 and here we are.
Umm what?
Factions was released exactly one year after Prophecies. Guild Wars: Prophecies was released on April 28th, of 2005. While Guild Wars: Factions was released on April 28th, of 2006. The Stone Summit (or Sorrow’s Furnace) was released on September 7th, of 2005. Six months after Guild Wars’ initial release.
And Factions wasn’t even an expansion. It was an entirely new Campaign like Prophecies. Basically a whole new game. Released within a year.
And Guild Wars 2 had more content at launch than Factions and Prophecies put together.
Everyone knows the game launched too early. They spent the first year getting it to where it is now, which is playable. This project is so much bigger and more ambitious than Guild Wars 1, you might as well not try to compare.
50 devs vs 300. 25 missions in Prophecies and 13 missions in Factions compared to how many personal stories?
How many starting zones in the two games.
Hell people finished Factions in 1 week and complained there was nothing to do. One week!
I wasn’t comparing anything. I was just making some corrections to the quoted post.
If you want to get into it though, GW2 didn’t have more content at launch than Factions and Prophecies put together. GW2 doesn’t even have the full Kryta map that we can explore. GW1 had the full Kryta map, and combining that with Factions, we even had an entirely new map for Cantha. We had two personal stories with Prophecies and Cantha, while we only have one short story for GW2. We had tons of quests in GW1 (Prophecies and Cantha), while we have less Dynamic Events in GW2, and even less Hearts in GW2 compared to that.
Heck, we even had more PvP options in GW1 (Prophecies and Cantha) than we do in GW2 right now. We had way more skill choices in Prophecies and Cantha than we did in GW2 at launch. We even had more armor and weapon choices than we do in GW2.
So sorry, but content wise, Prophecies and Cantha greatly outweigh GW2 when it launched. And people “finished” GW2 in a few days. So not much comparison there.

No, I won’t.
Like I have said several times, there is nothing “legendary” about them. So I will never grind for one. Buying one or playing the lottery to get one is not legendary. I don’t care if you grinded and farmed for months and gambled in the mystic forge for yours. Whether you bought it or “worked” for it, there is nothing legendary about it.
It is insulting to call them legendary in the first place. Legendary. It’s right there in the name. Legend. Which none of these weapons have. There is no story behind them or epic chain of events/quests that you have to do to obtain them. You don’t learn any lore from it either. There is no legend behind these weapons. They are just glorified skins is all.
Sorry but you should never have to sit there spending hundreds of gold to craft materials for this, gambling in the mystic forge for materials, gambling again in the forge for a precursor or hoping for a lucky RNG drop of the exact one you want, just to make one of those weapons. There should be some epic chain of events, storyline, even a personal story for each, to explain the “legend” behind the legendary. And then you obtain it in the end or find the pieces to reforge it.
So until they actually make these “legendary” weapons have actual legends and stories behind them to play through, then no I will never grind for one. The way they are implemented now is one of the worst design decisions they could of made.

A lot of temp content that you’ll never see, a few convenience changes (wallet, lfg, etc), more Ascended gear, and a lot of gem store stuff.
Otherwise, everything is pretty much still the same from when you left.

A lot of the content that has been released for this game was solo content. There was only a few content patches that were group content. And even those that did require a group, were mostly solo content with one group activity (well, except for the recent dungeon path and Tequatl, but Tequatl wasn’t technically a content patch, just an update to existing content).

Just want to clear one small thing up.
Noob is usually an insult to a “skilled” player, while Newb refers to a new player. When someone stands in fire or messes something up that upsets the team when they should know better, they are referred to as a Noob in an insulting manner. But when someone is new and you are teaching them how to do something, and they make mistakes based on first time experiences, they are referred to as a Newb for being new.
At least, that’s how it was back in my day of gaming. Don’t know if it has changed since then.
And thanks on the “OOC” part. I never knew that meant out of combat. All my times playing on RP servers, it always meant out of character. Was weird seeing people say that all the time in dungeons. Kept thinking they were roleplaying.

@SpyderArachnid:
Your logic is kinda flawed there, I won’t say you’re completely wrong but an F2P game is almost better than both when it comes to spending money.
You don’t have to pay an initial fee to play the game (B2P), You can play whenever you want without paying monthly fees (P2P) and any money you spent it’s for game goodies.
GW2 is turning into a F2P game than it’s original B2P model, just take the recent Instant-trait reset item, a feature which was there almost since the beginning in GW1.
Except with a F2P game, I would usually have to pay in order to stay competitive. Meaning P2W and having to get the best gear in order to stay on top in PvP via their cash shop only. I can’t just earn the best gear in the game in a F2P. You usually have to pay premium for that.
With GW2, it is all cosmetic and convenience. There is nothing that I have to buy to stay competitive in the game. I am not forced to pay money to stay on top. It’s one of those, buy the game once, and if I ever want to give them money again, I can. It won’t make me better, it will just make me prettier.
And I get your point on the trait reset item. It reminds me of a quote from back in the day (can we say that now?): “We take everything you love about GW1…”. Well, they finally gave us a way to change traits now more quickly, but we have to pay for it instead. Where in GW1, it was free.
But like Eisberg said, even in GW1 you still had to go to town to change your build and such. You couldn’t do it wherever you wanted. Kind of the same with GW2 already. In order to change your build, you have to go to town to do it.
This trait reset item is actually better in a sense. Now we can change our build wherever we want. Be it in a dungeon, open world, anywhere. No more going to town like you had to do before and in GW1. Sure I get that in GW1 the ability to change your build was free, but you were limited to only being allowed to do it in town. Now that we can change our build wherever we are, without trainers, I see the reasoning behind making it cost.
Though of course, GW1 had templates as well like Mudbone said, which is still something that we need in GW2.

Actually like the Medium and Light set. The mask on the Light set is awesome on female (if my hair wasn’t in the way).
Picture of all sets on human female below (sorry about the dye colors, didn’t feel like changing it. Order: Medium, Light, Heavy).

I have, and I’ll tell you exactly why.
Cause I get to play whenever I want and pay for whatever I want when I want.
With a sub fee, I am required to pay every month in order to keep playing. I don’t even get anything for that monthly fee except for the base game I already bought. If I stop paying, I can no longer play the game.
But with GW2, I can pay for the game and play whenever I want. I’m not restricted cause I’m not paying monthly. And when I do decide to fork over some money, it is for extra goodies, not so I can keep playing the game I already paid for. I can buy new costumes with my money.
Take for example a P2P game like WoW. When you give them 15 bucks a month, what are you getting in return? The same game you’ve already paid for and have been already playing. Now take GW2, a B2P game. When you give them 15 bucks a month, what are you getting? About 1200 gems to buy new stuff in the gem store with and you can still play the game you already paid for without having to give them 15 bucks a month.
So yeah. I don’t mind spending more than a sub fee on GW2. Cause I’m not forced to and even if I don’t spend that money, I can still play.

Update:
So after going into the instance solo and talking to Caithe again, I was able to finally get credit for that. And I had to make another key to get credit for that, so it took two keys instead of one.
Still not getting credit for Broken Clockwork though.
Lady Bethany Of Noh – Chronomancer – Lords of Noh [LoN]
Ah, so I wasn’t the only one. Had this same issue as well. Kept getting me killed constantly. Would definitely like a fix for this.
Lady Bethany Of Noh – Chronomancer – Lords of Noh [LoN]
Well I have animations and pretty much everything set to Max settings, so no issues there.
I’m currently using this new hairstyle (screenshot below) and it doesn’t move or anything.
this is not the bugged hairstyle…the other one clipps with the entire character and almost all armor pieces
I’m not talking about clipping, as this is my topic, I am discussing the hair physics. This hairstyle is bugged in the sense that it has no physics like all the older hairstyles. It is static and doesn’t move.
I believe you posted in the wrong thread.
Lady Bethany Of Noh – Chronomancer – Lords of Noh [LoN]
Following Achievements are bugged and do not give credit when done:
-Key Maker
-Secrets of the Forest
-Broken Clockwork
I made a key and even used it on a chest, talked to Caithe, and finished the dungeon and killed the Clockwork boss at the end. Didn’t get credit for any of it.
