I will admit that there are those who enjoy Zerg Wars 2 but the reality is that this LS is the very very same as most other LS.

Scarlet invasion comes to mind. It is almost the exact same but instead of clockwork you get glowey krait. Grind your achieve from the zerg.

Anet has failed with ALL LS IMO with the exception of flame and frost dungeon.

Mindless zerging is not fun to me anymore after a year of the same stuff.

The opening cutscene was great and I really enjoyed that but after that it is just join the zerg and grind your samples for AP.

Yep, they missed the ball with that giant tower. It could have been the elite dungeon people crave but no…we get the kittening zerg again…
Why even bother to get into the LS? Achieve? Reskinned weapons?

You guys had a massive opportunity to make a really really cool dungeon that could even be the elite dungeon everyone wanted but instead you made it the same as every other bloody LS since release. ZERG FOR ACHIEVE and a glowey reskin weapon.

This is beyond bad. I had sooo hoped that you would listen to the community and give us something new and exciting but instead we get the same zergy boring crap over and over.

Your card should be fine as long as your not running supersampling with full reflections.

GW2 is CPU bound and as such, requires a strong processor. Your 920 is a good CPU and personally I wouldn’t upgrade for GW2.

Your best bet is to do what Erik said and play with the culling settings.

GW2 loves raw clocks in addition to a strong single thread.
If you haven’t overclocked that black edition then I suggest that you do, as long as you have a good aftermarket cooler. There are tons of resources on the net, especially for that processor, to aid you in overclocking.

Intel has a stronger single thread performance and clock for clock will always beat out AMD in GW2.

I went from a X6 1055t OC to my i7 and noticed a massive difference in the game.

Although we were promised a performance patch about 3 months or more ago we have heard nothing about its progress.

Expect 0 response.

Try to log into GW2, the go to this website and login. Go to “my account” then “security”. There is a mobile application authenticator there. The site has been buggy tho and I have not be able to access it.

I don’t think the encounter is bad, it is the implementation of how we access the encounter.
Teq 2.0 NEEDS to be instanced or given tools for commanders to help with the meta.

Make sure that you authenticate the ip address your using from your cell phone when you log in under the security tab of the account management page.

Yes because the application is 32 bit.
I haven’t seen GW2 use more than 4GB, although with my OS and other background apps my total system RAM has probably gone over 4GB.
Of course I have been too lazy to look during high RAM usage of GW2, although I could toss something on my OSD to check. I have seen GW2 use a little over 3GB tho

I would ALWAYS recommend using a 64 bit OS unless specific software demands a 32 bit OS.

The OOM errors may or may not be the client but I am certain that Anet knows about this and is placing a fix in the client. And I don’t mean we are getting a 64bit client anytime soon

Squishy I agree. I am interested in the fact that they made an official statement regarding performance and haven’t said or done anything yet. I could come back to haunt them.
Fx 1000 or i12 20 core processors probably won’t help much. Gw2 wants raw clocks, thus why most people oc to their thermal limits.
So when that next gen 7ghz CPU comes out we might be ok.

The sad part is that the game is so terribly un optimized that people feel the need to overclock their top if the line processors in order to run the game with acceptable frames.
Almost 3 months since we were promised noticeable performance tweaks but not a single dev word or sound uttered about it.
I am starting think they said that just to get us off their backs.

If it was permanent content I would kitten my undies.

I HATE Jp’s but if it is a mix then I wouldn’t mind that much.
I like guild challenges and those are a good mix of puzzles, jp and combat.
If the whole thing is a giant JP tho I probably wont even bother.

I have done every dungeon
I have completed my story
I have completed every living story(much to my chagrin)
I have explored the world.

Where is the engaging difficult content that we deserve as a playerbase?
Where is our UW/DoA/FoW?
Where is our challenge?

I see characters running rampant with legendary weapons, so, if that was our end game goal then what is the next part.
It isnt hard to acquire a legendary and realistically there isnt anything legendary about it.(grind, luck, grind).

Where is my challenging content?
Where is the content that makes me think as a player?
Where is the content that makes not do repetitive meaningless actions?

As game designers your tasked with the hardest jobs available but you seem to have taken the easy way out, taken the way of the mob.

GW2 had the intention of innovation and difference, yet after a year I see no innovation and very little difference.

God bless the not having to carve pumpkins but innovation is key to survival.

I enjoyed the cinematic of the Mad Kings son and thought that it was the best part of Halloween.

I feel that the minutia of Halloween has been achieved but it’s spirit is lost.

All I can say is think about what you have created.
Think about the world we have and how awesome it is.
Think about what you as devs can do with the tools you have.

Players DO NOT WANT the same think, year after year, LS via LS.
We demand change and alteration, and you ALL have the tools to accomplish this.

I hope and pray for the future of GW2 because it has so much hope and promise, but seems to fall short most of the time.

Perhaps the creativity, ingenuity and “coolness” of the original game can be recaptured and perhaps exceeded.

There are no mechanics in the zerg. Hit and rez.

Not only are the drops terribad but there is no merch in there and no repair anvil, forcing the player to either leave and reenter via gate which is a pain in the butt or have players drop them.
I wont go back just because the drops are bad and there isn’t any conveniences for the player.

You can try to delete the local.dat file and see if that helps at all.

The game needs bigtime optimization polish even after a year.
It still feels like beta in certain situations.

The GPU in GW2 is pretty irrelevant after a certain point, unless your running super high resolution multi screens.
GW2 is CPU dependent. In massive PvE zergs(Maw etc) I can bog down to 15 fps. Altering graphical settings for me doesn’t change anything with the exception of reflections(which are off completely), and I use supersampling at all times.Switching from Native to Supersampling provides little to no performance boost in zergs. The big hit comes in from culling. Altering culling settings does have an impact. I have noticed that even on Lowest/Lowest, I will usually get about 40fps or so during big big zergs.
We were promised a performance patch a few months back and I doubt that we will ever see it. Just get used to the crappy fps and move on…

Yes they changed the culling of players in GW2.
What are your system specs and what settings are you currently using?

I doubt they will be available for the end of the year. I would expect them to be available by the end of next year.

character limit and detail. adjust to your liking.disable all reflections.

We wont get a 64 bit client.
Heck we haven’t gotten an update regarding the “apparent” performance updates that according to the devs we should have already seen ingame.
I would be the 1st to want optimization for the game but I cannot see how they will do that.
In over a year there have been very little to no performance updates and the game still plays like beta. Seriously it does.

Funny story here…
I had stopped playing for a few weeks because I was bored trying to grind for my precursor, so I decided to toss all of my money into the toilet using exotic GS. If I lost it all, uninstall move on. If I get a pre then I would keep playing.

Dusk on 4th try.

I had previously spent over 300g on toilet fodder without luck and finally got one at my wits end.

They really really need to make it happen fast. They will lose people and more and more out of frustration….they almost did me.

It is the client.
There too many people with the same issue and hardware for it to be on the users’s side.

Same thing. Bad packet loss from Level 3. Nothing that Anet can do really except keep bugging those backbones in order to their game together.

Actually SSDs have a massive bearing on loading times.
I have loaded the game in LA off of my 3tb(yes it is defragged) backup drive and both of my intel SSDs. Even though the intel ones are not the fastest in the world they still perform much much better than the standard platter hdd.

Try reducing your culling settings and load into LA and see how that goes.
You can also try what solar said and delete the local.dat file.
