For those of you who want to know the score, here it is!

As for all the QQing about TC being too powerful… Even with this score, TC only wins 15 ranking at the moment.

If TC only wins 15 rankings at the end of each week, it would cost another 8 weeks of this to move to T2: TC needs 115 points to go there and no one looses more than 2 points in T1 at the moment.

Also… the higher the score of TC, the less ranking TC gets for this point gap each week, so…

There are several options for you. Your best bet is contacting Support — you can add screenshots and commentary that way. You can also send email directly to support or just use the /report function in-game.

We did all that… several times. Not just with screenshots but with videos too. No result…

Im in a guild that does WvW every night. As many as 7 persons crashed at the same time by greenbriar tonight. Multiple crash reports also when getting in and out of the water. World vs World crashing is still present.

We had the same eperience, people crashed.

Most did either in the spawn area or in Bay when we lit fireworks. Can be a coincidence, ofoucrse, but still.

I hope that the first screenshot will silence some FAers constant yelling of 2 vrs 1. Unless they mean TC with that ‘1’, cause look at us owning alot of KNBL and FABL!!!

I didn’t realize until today how much Kaineng is reliant upon their SEA players.

What KN also relied on (and still does) is map-hopping. They are very good at playing as a server, instead of as individual guilds.

That’s something that TC does much less, to the frustration of some, although we’re learning that too and had some map hopping the last weeks. Quite succesfully even, like defending SM from KN attacks and TCBL from FA attacks for hours.

Eventually, that map-hopping isn’t enough and you loose targets but a 20-man group hopping back and forth sure delays things a long time!

With TC’s new transfers, there is no point in competing in a population game (and many guilds on FA were not interested in the first place). Instead, we’ll have fun doing things that don’t require population – setting up loot farms and GvG.

If you really feel this way, maybe you should leave WvW and play sPvP?

Also…

Also, it is impossible to see the NA leaderboards when you live in Europe. Even when I select NA, I only get to see EU boards.

I got to manually change the URL from …/eu/… to …/na/… to see the NA boards.

Also, I can’t select one world for the leaderboard either.

Yes, mining in combat has always a small chance of giving ruined stuff.

What is the right way to report someone that continues troll in WvW and places siege in terible places, so that we can’t build proper siege to defend our keeps?

For example, someone that builds so much siege in the Lord room of a keep that we can’t place any decent defensive siege, because of the limited siege rule.

We have reported this person over and over witht he in-game reporting tool, but nothing was done: this person is still building fake siege in our keeps.

The worse is in EB, because this troll just builds siege at the start of the week and that siege stays there until we loose the keep. He doesn’t even have to refresh it ever half hour, cause siege in EB doesn’t de-spawn.

Can ANet please tell us what we can do about this, how to report this person? We got videos, we got screenshots, we got testimonies…

Or does ANet find it’s fair in WvW that one person can sabotage keeps like this? If ANet thinks it’s fair, then please tell us so, so we can stop being so frustrated about ANet’s silence on this topic!

Just mute them in vent / mumble / teamspeak, follow someone else and say in mapchat what he is doing wrong.

I think they said that they are doing something about the long nameplates, so that should fix alot of problems!

I agree 100%. It cannot be that hard to reward someone that takes supply from a camp.

And escorting Yaks. And rezzing. IT is very easy to implement WXP & badges for these.

Healing & buffing should be rewarded too as is standing guard, but those are harder to implement.

It is silly that ANet does not consider these activities important enough to reward them.

The thing I hate the most, though, are players who rarely do any of this brag about their high ranks or number of badges. That is just a slap in the face of all others.

Yeah, well, they also said there won’t be tiered gear and here we are, grinding for ascended juwelery with 15% higher stats than exotic.

It’s what companies do to get customers.

What I do not understand is this… At a full zerg vrs zerg vrs zerg fight in WWW, there are maximum 450 players (I’m being generous here). And another -say- 150 pets, decoys, phantasms, what not. Let’s add another 20 NPCs or so.

So, 620 things doing their thing, with the serve having to calculate what they’re doing.

But… that is not THAT much, now is it? 620 of such calculations on a high-end server is nothing. A top-top-top server can nowadays have 32 CPUs each with up to 8 cores. Obviously, ANet does ot have this. But even on a lower-end server, with 8 CPUs with 4 cores, that should be plenty of calculating power!

My guess is that they have like really low-end servers.
Together with two design choices (no skill queue and no global cooldown), this really hurts performance.

The problem is, ofcourse, money. You got to look at how many people WvW, how many leave because of the (let’s be honest, occasional) lag and how many dollars these players spend on gems.

The questions is: how much does it cost to make lag go away. And how much money are we losing because of lag. Sure, ANet has other costs too, but that is not the issue here, those costs are independent of the hardware cost.

My guess is that ANet did this math, like every profit-based company would do. And then said ‘sorry, not worth it’.

In GW2 the progression system is an inflated version of time spent, but now there is no reward to actual play, what is rewarded is spamming #1 in a giant zerg ball.

Yeah, you can buff players, heal or rez people, debuff enemies, run yaks, build siege and stand gaurd all you want, the only thing that gets you WXP is killing stuff or repairing when under siege.

It is a weird choice from ANet to reward only that one aspect of WvW.

The result is that people who never rez, siege or stand guard get rewarded with the highest ranks

The SM fight we just had was epic!

KN breaching outer & inner with golems, portalling to the other side of Lord’s when they saw they could get through. Smart, smart.

As expected, FA came in too, so the lag was terrible! We couldn’t even rez the Lord and he was right at our feet, lol.

Pretty sure that we could have hold SM against KN if FA didn’t came in. Oh, well.

Odd that neither FA or KN took the opportunity to take stuff on our BL, so in the end, we didn’t loose all that much and we are still ticking at 300 per tick!

Don’t bother trying to convince ANet that they should do something abnout thieves in OP. We tried dozens of times.

They seem to be aware of the OP, they decided to do something abot it in the last patch, but they chickened out and let the thiefs have their OP capabilites.

But if a warrior on an AC can stun people that don’t know how to dodge, now THAT needs a nerf NOW. Blah!

Oh man, yesterday was awesome @ FABL. 250 badges or so, many more didn’t managed to pickup due to movement. RPers are just keep coming back, die, coming back, die again, coming back…

Lowland farm was delicious.

You need to really pick up the pace to catch up with the RP groups out there, your lagging well behind them in the badge counting department.
And yeah, FABL was a blast last night.

Where is PiNK, the “best” gw2 WvW guild? I have never heard of TSL.

Most PiNK officers were playing Minecraft for a long time yesterday. Then they had a guild event in Kaineg BL iirc.

Don’t feel abandoned, I’m sure FA will get PiNK-ed too this week!

Time for an update!

This is usally the time of day wher KN takes all stuff, we’ll see how it goes this week. They already took Bay in KBL, due to us not having sentries there kitten

Well, after considerable time observing TC in KN BL, I see quite a lot of cohesiveness. Therein lies the tale….

One of the major TC WvW guilds had a guild event in KNBL, so that might have been a factor in the ‘cohesiveness’. Other than that, we were being our goofy selves

And even though they were running with a new commander after a while, he did great so they were able to take all three keeps in KNBL.

Garrison was close though: FA was sieging our T3 tower with golems, so most people WPed out of inner garrison to save the tower.

Only 15 TCer went in the Lord Room of garrison, the rest went to the tower.

Luckily, KN didn’t know that there were only 15 TCers left in garrison. They disapeared and TC was able to take garrison with minimal resitance!

Unfortunately, we weren’t able to take our tower, the 4 FA golems were too much. We did kill the FA golems later though, when they tried to take Hills with it!

No one uses golems against TC and lives. No one !!!

Point-wise, it looks like this week is going to get ugly…

So, compared to more-or-kess the same time last week, TC is up with 8k, FA is down by 2k and KN is down by 10k.

FA is actually winning ranking at this point, +6, TC is +4 and KN loosing 10 ranking and stands at 1,931.

And in T3, DB is up 41 ranking and is at 1,921.

It’s gonne get ugly if KN doesn’t step up and turn things around!

I do not speak for my server but I do not want to come to T2. We are not ready, when DB comes to T2 we need to be ready and we are not yet. When we do come into T2, I want us to stick there not in and out.

Alot of TCers said the exact same thing when we moved to T2. We were 3rd in T2 for more than a month and always thought ‘well, we stayed one week longer than we thought’. And here we are, still in T2 after months and even being nr 1 there!

if you’re not in a big guild, or at least not in a WvW-heavy guild, you have basically no support, no communication, no engagement whatsoever. If you don’t happen to trip and fall into a WvW portal, there’s no way to even know what the point is, or why you might be needed as a new WvWer.

And if you ARE in WvW but not wanting to follow the zerg (for whatever reason), there’s absolutely no attempt to, say, explain the mechanics of scouting. Or sitting on siege equipment in a tower. Or heck, doing anything at all other than sitting around in the citadel wondering what to do next.

Well, at TC we have several people (like Jadon with his weekly lessons on Thursdays helped by Theon & Coral with her TC University) that explain WvW to new players, with a patience that everyone admires.

And every day, people explain in TC map chat basic WvW concepts as ‘what are the blue icons’, ‘what is supply’, ‘why kill Yaks’ and give the mumble coordinates.

That’s the advantage of a RP server, I think. The communities on RP servers tend to be nicer than on other servers. At least that’s what it feels like, in every MMO I ever played.

It’s not exactly fair to complain about something that a server does when your server did the exact same thing earlier on. Especially when they did it even bigger, eating up an entire server’s WWW population instead of just 3 guilds.

Apperently, ANet thinks that a good WWWer does not uses heals or buff, none of them give WXP.

For ANet…
- buff people so that they run faster
- buff people so that they do more DPS
- buff people so that they are invisible
- buff people so that they stay alive longer
- heal people so that they stay alive longer
…is not the right way to play in WWW because none of these are rewarded with WXP, only DPS, DPS and more DPS is rewarded.

I never heard anyone ever say that we were collecting gold for oceanic guilds ‘in an effort to reach Tier 1’.

We got a big hole in our coverage. It is very, very frustrating to WWW and see it all go to waste because KN has 30 people in a different timezone. It’s annoying and devaluates our efforts during other times. THAT is why I donated (some) gold too, certainly not to go to T1.

TCers are staying up late, as usual on reset night: we were able to take all of FABL, it was all green. It was only for a minute or two, but still. I don’t think I ever saw that on a reset night.

The problem are not mesmers alone, it’s when a mesmer runs with a necro. Together they apply 5 different conditions in the blink of an eye and you can’t clear them all, you just got to be lucky that your 2-3 removals takes out the confusion too. Else, well… else you can only run away.

It’s pure luck, really. If you cleanse confusion, you have a chance to win. If you don’t cleanse confusion, you will probably die.

Aside from that… it’s kinda unreasonable that you got to trait in a certain way just to survive that one class. Imagine if every single class had one type of attack like that, that would make the game unplayable!

So, yes, you can do something about it. But it gives this class a big advantages over other classes. They already have stealth. They already have time warp. They already have decoys. They already have ignore-LOS-destroy skills. They already have on-wall-destroy skills. They already have portals. They already have AOE reflection.

No need to have ANOTHER uber skill, in my opinion.

Yes, indeed. I remember when we moved to T2, we were all like ‘how did this happen’, hehe. We were green in T3 for quite some time, then we were red in T2 for weeks too, expecting and even accepting every week that we could go back to T3.

But look at us now, green in T2 and staying green another week, woot!

I got a warrior, that has full exotic vitality /thougness / power armor, ascended gear and the soldier runes (that removes conditions with shout).

When I trait for shout healer, nothing kills me. I don’t kill stuff that heals itself either, but you asked for a tank, so…

Food is important too. You can go for food that gives more dodges or for healing food.

Well, like in other games, you will need to set some superficial goals for yourself, if you are a goal-achiever

First of all, obvously, dungeon paths. Do them all!

Also, yes, join a big PvE-oriented guild! Get the guild commendations to get ascended earrings and enjoy!

WvWvW is endless fun, in my opinion! No two fights are the same. Try it with your two different classes, it will be pretty different

Get to fractals level 30. Higher end fractals are different than lower level ones and it’s fun to run a good fractal group fast to the end!

Do CoF speed runs… see if you can do path 1 under 7 minutes or not! Fast fun guaranteed!!!

You can also do some structured sPvP. I never did it, but I hear that it’s quite challenging for people!

You can also try to do all the achievements. Get all the fractal achievements, all the different paths, the achievements for all three groups in your story line…

And finally… make money off the TP. I played an older MMO just to see how rich I could get It’s a game in a game really: buying, reselling, keeping stock…

If all else fails… come to Tarnich Coast and role play

No, sending 200g once back & forth won’t be a problem. I did it before too. And our guild sometimes pays more than that to other guilds to tranfers.

You don’t need ‘tons and tons’ of people to defend at Oceanic times. With a map-hopping group of 20-25 people, you can already do alot at that time slot.

First is the obvious side effects of constantly messing with our balance. I think few would disagree that one of the good things about T2 is the balance, servers actively recruiting messes that up regardless if that is intended or not.

For me, balance is about having balanced fights. That means having the same numbers on the battlefield. This is what TC is now doing, fielding oceanic players against WM.

Also… you can’t yell ‘balance’ when a server gets better and better. Every server has the right to improve themselves.

Finally… FA-WvW pretty much merged with IoJ. No one from FA has the right to call TC out for taking in 3 guilds. Seriously.

We’ve even flash built ACs in open field before if we think we’re badly outnumbered by an incoming enemy Zerg. They help, but with this lock it becomes pretty stupid.

Pffffft, you fight against pretty stupid zergs. The AOE on that skill is pretty small: you are telling me that half their zerg runs through it at the same time? And that none of those know how to remove a condition and then dodge?

I wanne fight that zerg!!!

This whole WXP thing isn’t helping the pure-zerg entality either.

You do not get WXP for sentrying.
You do not get WXP for running yaks.
You do not get WXP for ticking siege.
You do not get WXP for building siege.
You do not get WXP for repairing when not under attack.

So, what’s left? Run around with the big zerg. Pfffft.

I’d like to see some super-quality siege that doesn’t expire, this whole siege-ticking is a pure waste of time.

I remember marketing videos of GW2 saying that GW2 does not want you to waste times with things that are not fun. Well, running around Hills, Bay or Garrison every 25 minutes (to be safe) ticking siege is NOT fun.

KN earned our respect and friendship by being pretty much the most respectful and classy Server we’ve faced.

No dancing on corpses with KN, no spawn camping, only very rarely JP-puzzle camping, no forum drama, no group-invites with rantings.

A pity KN seems to do less well this week and FA jumping one spot instead of going don. I’d like to have seen a TC-KN-BG match. That would be 3 servers all having good fun in one tier!

You’re certainly not the first. Most players gave up on it, ANet never answered more than something vague, like ’we’ll see’.

Apperently, it is not that easy for them to do. Not sure why, but a good solution would be something like auto-opening the bags when your inventory is not full and leave the bags on the ground when it is.

Another alternative would be that badges were a currency like silver and that the silver & badges from bags are looted automatically and the bags stay on the ground. Then, at least, you got your silver & badges (each is worth 1s too for siege).

First you say that FA has 3 more guilds WvWing…

VK returned from their one week vacation inT8. They were previously part of RET.
PTX transferred back last week
AoN came back a couple of weeks ago.

Then you say…

If we did get new transfers then we aren’t aware of it.

My english is not good enough to understand the distinction between ‘new transfers’ in WvW numbers and ‘returned’, ‘transferred back’ and ‘came back’.

Anyways, these extra people explain why FA is ahead.
