Really nice FA, camping the entrance of the Jumping Puzzle in EB and keep ranging the platform so we stay in combat and can’t get out.

We are, we are! Trying to get FA’s last keep, the one in EB, but it’s a hard one to take versus a zerg, so it will take some time.

For me FIFO is also best.

The only exception I could defend is that people that got disconnected get back in faster.

And yes,… fixing the queues is a top priority for me too. I got the feeling that when you WP while queued or you go through a portal or so, you get thrown to the back of the line. That’s not fun!

That type of progression is against GW2 initial rules, the grind here should be optional (skins, etc) and not required to compete at the top level.

That was apperently just a cheap marketing trick to get us into the game: they added ascended gear and this game is just as grindy as every other game out there.

More to the point…

This rank system favors DPs so much, it’s not even funny anymore. I can give 4 people fury and stack them with a bunch of might, I can heal them in the battle, I can make them dodge more often, I can start fire fields and NONE of this will get me any WXP.

And then these people brag about their WXP rank…

That is for me the biggest issue that needs to be adressed first: if I make a bunch of people DPS more and keep them alive, I should get part of the WXP too.

And second… like most people agree on: make it account bound, obviously.

Third… Arrow Carts mastery! 25% extra damage, bigger range, bigger AOE field, everyone stuns instead of just warriors would be 4 obvious choices.

Aside from that: make the point refundable. At least when new skills come out!

It’s very disappointing. Like you said, the available skins are the low-level, generic item skins that we could have gotten already by spending a negligible amount of money. On top of that, it seems like we don’t even get access to all of the generic skins. I’m unable to get back into WvW at the moment, but while browsing for medium armor I remember seeing the Warden set, the Duelist set, and one other. I wasn’t expecting cultural armor, nor was I expecting for them to create a bunch of new skins just for us WvW players, but I was definitely hoping that we’d be given more than this. Right now, I’m just guessing that we unlock more skins as we rank up.

WvW players out number all other aspects of this game. Only PvE has a chance to beat out WvW players. Remember tho most PvE’ers WvW, but there are tons of WvWers who don’t PvE.

5 supplies more is 50% more, it’s a very strong ability

It takes you less than 10g to make 3 guilds and have the +5 supply constantly runnin in a camp (or in a keep that gets alot of yaks in).

Plus, if you are in a 30-man zerg (which is relatively small), it doesn’t often matter if you got 300 or 450 or 600 supply with you.

Not to mention that it takes time to get supply: instead of raiding 3 camps that have 100 supply, you will have to raid 6 (if you find that many on the map).

Also… you do not ‘gain supply’. The supply has to exist on the map before you can take it. The only way to actually create supply is to upgrade a camp and get a yak to the tower/keep.

I think this is only good for people that like to ninja towers with exactly 3 people: they can now put up a superior ram instead of a regular one. Other than that, the use is pretty meh.

Well, first of all to the OP: thank you! People like you keep this game running. Sure, you have been lied to. Sure, you lost alot of money. But, it’s for the rgeater good!

Second… this is what gambling companies do: they don’t tell you the price, they just take as much money from you as possible. Making you think ‘hey, the NEXT time can be the good one’ is a know marketing trick.

Third: if you don’t know by now that the BL chests are basically a tax for dumb people, you will never get it.

Forth… posts likes yours are probably printed out by the marketing person at Anet and then shown to their boss, saying : ‘look at this, boss, I made this dude buy 100 chests, give me a raise, I’m the best in taking people’s money!’.

You make a profit in WvW because you don’t buy upgrades or siege equipement. You can not make a profit if you do, and even if you don’t, the level 20 blues you loot from underleveled enemies, and the level 80 grey items, really don’t do much more than cover your repair bill.

You can use badges of honor to buy rams, treb, catas etcetc … and for the repair cost: try to die less…

The fact that you think that WWW only costs money for repairs & siege make me believe that you rarely pay for upgrades…

Well, the easiest to implement would be to cap the number of items you can have for sale or bid on.

Another way would be to make all items that you buy from the TP account bound. Perhaps with a 12hour buy-back-guarantee option, altough that would be harder to implement.

But Anet will never allow this. Anet makes money from the extreem high prices on the TP, by selling gold to rich people through gems. It is not in the interest of Anet to limit high prices made by these TP abusers, at the contrary.

So, basically, the power on the gear doesn’t get leveled: +10 power on an armor gives +10 power and +10 attack, regardlessly of how high level you are leveled too or how high level your gear is.

If you open your map and hover your mouse over the area’s name, you will see how many POIs you did and how many you are missing.

Well, you probbly want to have +5 agony. you can put that on any type of slot, defensive, offenseive or utility.

Aside from that… if you are a Orr grinder, getting Magic Find on an amulet (that has already MF, ofcourse) will certainly be useful.

Finally, an option would be to have a Karma boost on an amulet. This will be very useful when you do the Orr boxes. Together with the Karma Guild Boost, the Karma Guilf banner, the Karma food and the Karma Booster, this will get your Karma bonus all the way up to +95% !

Can players appeal against decisions of Anet concerning other players?

More specifically, can I appeal Anet decision’s to not ban someone that helps thieves, like Anet did in this thread https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/account/Complaints-from-Gold-Buyer/first#post1657368 ?

These gold buyers & gold sellers are criminals. Plain and simple. Gold buyers need to be banned.

They ruin my game by inflating prices, they ruin my game by stealing accounts, they ruin my game by taking up time from Anet and they ruin my game by not buying gold through gems to support the game.

And Anet doesn’t even ban them when they get caught! All they do is say ‘oh, well, you got caught buying gold from thieves, thieves that stole the gold from other players, tssssk’ and let them just go on.

That is an unfair decision.

So, is there a way I can appeal to this decision not to ban these players that bought gold stolen from other players?

Another question…

The person that bought gold that was stolen from other players, bought gems before (he claims). Is there a different type of justice system for these players?

In other words: when you buy gems from Anet, are you then considered a ‘better customer’ and won’t be banned when you are caught buying gold stolen from other players?

Or is it general policy not to punish this kind of thieves?

It is not ‘over and over again’. The AC #2 has a CD of 9 seconds, so it’s not like you’re constantly stunned.

People in golems are often fun, hehe. When it’s their first time in WvWvW, they see it standing there, the USE comes up and off they go!

Usually they start using all th skills too, so the golem is whirwinding a poor rabbit or so

You will have to break it down per time-slot.

100 people online for 1 hour during NA prime is way less valuable than 20 people online for 1 hour during oceanic prime-time.

I do not understand why ANet give the same amount of points for 20 players during off-times than they give to 100 people during peak-time. It makes the effort of people during peak-time much less valuable than the effort of people during off-times. But because ANet does it like this, it means that it is much less valauble to know the amount of play-hours per server.

When you place an arrow-cart on a front-line tower or keep and get on it when it’s under attack, will get you alot of bags. Preferably a superior one, it does 50% more damage and has 50% more health.

But all in all, I find that ANet should come up with a system that accounts for heals, buffs, debuffs and even combo field starters too.

You can with one build…
- shout heal 4 people for half their health every 24 seconds
- give 4 people fury 50% of the time
- give 4 people 3 stacks of might half the time and 6 stacks the other half
- put 10 stacks of vulnerabilty on a target every 24 seconds
- put a fire field every 10 seconds
and not get ANY bags out of it.

That is unfair, plain and simple.

Well, I doubt that -say- 5% of the players have 300g. But that wasn’t the point.

Point was that if a player sells 1,000 ectos every day, that could be an indication that he found a way to exploit ectos. You can farm 50-100 ectos a day if you dedicate yourself to it. But not 1,000.

Personally I find it kind of exciting we are nipping at TC’s heels again. I also quoted these two matches to show how far we have come.

FA did more than nipping TCs heels, the last 6 hours of the match last week. It was the first time, as the record shows, that FA came close.

When FA made the final pushand had 450 vrs 50 potential point lead over TC, plenty of people on TC did the math and noticed that if we didn’t step in, we would loose our second place.

We’ll see how close it is this week, will be intresting for sure!

We dont hate anyone, we just look for good fights, TC cant do open field fighting, they are busy Roleplaying by the campfire.
So we go after FA more, they are enough to keep us entertained

We carry camfire kits just to put down and start pretending to roleplay, when we see Kainegs comming. Once you’re all gone, we start taking keeps and camps again.

I’m more envisioning some General-type figure that overlooks the battlefield from on high and directs all the respective guilds and groups around. Because, like I said, we do have a tendency to tunnel vision.

I think that TC has the same problem. If there is one thing that I think TC needs to learn, it is to swap maps faster.

A guild usually stays on one map in TC, only leaving when everything is lost or it is out of danger. If guilds would swap maps faster, we would have more points now.

It is not uncommon to for TC to loose TCBL (again) to 30 Kaineg in the morning with only 15 TCers on it, while there are 10 TCers on FABL doing their thing and 10 TCers on KBL doing theirs and 20 on EB.

It’s the small price we pay for being a server with 100 smaller guilds, plenty of them RP guilds. I’m ok with that price: people having fun, people playing with friends, people achieving their own goals.

It may not be the most effective in WWW, but in the end the game is about having fun.

In fairness, I don’t think we’ve had anywhere as many transfers of guilds in as FA has, in the way of IOJ guilds in addition to 4 SOS guilds.

“You guys are only in T2 because you had a larger WvW population and better coverage to start with and then absorbed some of CD after they broke up in T3 in addition to other transfers you’ve received.” This is slightly inaccurate. We moved up to T2 because IOJ was imploding.

It is exactly because this constant ‘we are better than you’ attitude, that showing that we beat FA 8 times should show some perspective against these kind of claims. They can’t keep comming up with new excuses for getting beaten, can they?

How anyone can say that it is ‘undeniable’ that FA is better than TC at PvP, after being beaten 8 times out of 8 is beyond my small brain to understand.

It’s kinda odd that a post that shows pure facts about past matches, makes FAers so angry. Apperently, being reminded of getting beaten 8 times by TC makes some people angry.

So, what shall I do? Be quiet about objective numbers? Ignore the clear facts? Not talk about history because someone gets upset over it? Be bullied into silence?

Yeah, the amount of useless items on the TP is mind boggling. Some forge recipe that gives -say- a small change for any 4 items to give some higher-valued item.

That being said… the main problem with the TP is the UI. The information that people get about an item is different for buyers than sellers, you constantly loose your search results, you don’t get a decent look on items you sold and bought, you can’t even filter armor or weapons for your class.

The UI needs work. It’s been 6 months now, that’s long enough, me think!

That you do not run the risk that prices 3 folded by then.

Another question is ‘Why would anyone take the risk to take collateral that may be worth less in the future, making the buyer walk away from the collateral’.

The prices in this game are messed up. They go up and down more than in any other game. Collateral needs stable (or at least predictable) prices. GW2 is faaaaaaaar from that ideal.

Yeah, but I think that Anet saw the $$$-opportunity here: it is next-to-impossible to get a precursor without buying a bunch of gold through gems.

I think it’s hilarious when I’m looking at a million post patch salvage results and you tell me I’m wrong.

Unless you do not look at results one-on-one but per person, your numbers don’t mean anything. It is not because you see that in 1.000.000 salvages people get ectos from 3 in 4 tries, that the results are random. You would need to check all sorts of factors.

Unless you have ran numeric analysis to confirm that (say) people standing in LA have the same odds than people elsewhere or that people who salvage slower have the same odds than people who salavage faster, you can not conclude that there is nothing wrong.

I have a run of 1 ecto from 25 uses of BLK’s… that has a chance of:

0.000003% chance of happening.

0.000003 is incorrect, it is way lower. 0.000003 would actually be acceptable. It would mean that out of one 100 million tries, 3 would have this result. There are 3 million games sold, so this could certainly happen. But in reality, the odds are waaaaaaay lower.

Assuming that…

- the salvages are independent from each other
- a BLK has an equal change of giving 0, 1, 2 or 3 ectos.

… then he odds of having 0 ectos for…

- 1 salvage is 25% (1 in 4)
- 2 salvages is 6.25% (1 in 16)
- 3 salvages is 1.5625% (1 in 64)

b) agree that this is statistically next-to-impossible: this is less than 1 in 1 million million, so unless a million people did a million times 25 salvages this is extremely unlickely
c) fix the RND

I would certainly not do what Anet did here: basically telling their customer that they are wrong.

And even if Anet still claims that their RND is perfect, then agree that this type of bad luck (1 out of 25) should not happen and fix it, by tinkering with the odds and put some mechanism in place where you can’t have a string of bad luck.

Now… I understand that GW2 is a pure lottery. If you loot a cursor, BOOM, you are rich. If you do one lucky forge, BOOM, you are rich.

But certainly Anet has to see that these kind of odds are very, very, very unfair.

You didn’t answer the other questio,though: when I buy gems with dollars, do they substract from the supply (I guess not, but no word about this at all)? The opposite, when I sell the gems that I bought for dollars, are they added to the supply?

At one point, the gems from dollars must be added (or must have been) to the stock of gems to exchange for gold, or there would never been any gems in there.

I agree, the first step (Bounties) should be more accessible for small guilds too.

Maybe one day they will add somethig to this extend.

Or give a chance for a reward to guild-membersof guilds that helped out but did not research.

But the current system is indeed bad for small guilds. Or WWW guilds that don’t want to invest all three build queues into this.

Maybe this has more to do witht he fact that you now can only get one chest per boss per character per day?

If you do the dragon two times in the same day, are you supposed to get two chests?

Jumped from 4/5 to 6/5 completes. Strange bug, but understandable why we’re not getting a reward. Just hope we can still get it.

It happens when you finish two achievements with one kill (like kill a 5th Yak, which also gives you the 5th event if you haven’t done any other events).

Great catch – I did in fact do something to spy kits (both OOW and Ash Legion) that got dropped out of the patch notes by accident (Stealth stealth nerf!). I’ll go make sure they are properly put into the patch notes.

When you say that you did ‘something’, did you mean ‘I nerfed them so bad that they now got a 60 seconds colldown, so they are pretty much wortless in the fractals’ or did you mean ‘no, you don’t get reimbursed for the ones you got’.

Oh, wait, you did BOTH.
