Alright. Have fun in your own way. Probably no “karma train” WXP line coming, though, so you’ll just have to do with the siege/guard lines.
Isn’t the banker one-use only?
EDIT: Oh it’s a 2 week limited.
I’m not sure if you’re troll, but what do you mean you don’t need them? 250 points extra toughness and/or power is not wasted points if you ever fight anyone. Are you saying you never fight other players?
You certainly sound like a team player. Invest in the Guard Killer/Defense lines then?
“A large guild group incoming!? Go my horde of rando guys and win us a victory when all logic says we shouldn’t”
Any PuG commander that turns his herd away from a fight with a guild group is a kitten and needs to untag forever.
Assuming of course his group at least matches the numbers of the guild group somewhat.
It might be a suicide but even suicide is more fun than running from every fight where there is at least 1% chance of losing.
Ok that’s what I wanted to know. Thanks
GW2 target group are the teens and youngster and that a lot.
Good luck getting success from a target group that is both in the minority (age group wise) and generally lacking money.
Even ANet is not that stupid.
GW2, with its B2P + cash shop is aiming at the 30+ PC gamers (which are the majority of PC players) who have jobs, families and generally too little time and too much money on their hands.
1. This thread was about predicting what the “Facilitating Friendly Play” would mean. That’s now revealed so this thread is obsolete.
2. What the hell are you talking about?
To crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentation of their women.
This.
True. However, still a strong YES! from me too.
Ebonhawke is not a city instance, so it’s probably safe for the time being.
The official page also lists a “Identity Repair Kit” combining name change and total makeover kit, but I cannot find any info about that. Was it not added after all?
If it was, how much is the cost?
I vote for the RP flag.
If you have a full set or ascended armor and weapons for 10 characters I think your problems run much deeper than what to do with extra ascended materials.
Just toss it after that.
2x colossus on the TP now. Price is a bit higher than it was, but already down from what someone tried (899g to 700g). Someone just lost a lot of gold, gg.
They won’t make special RP servers that are separated. What they could do is like ESO is doing. Make an “RP” option you can switch that puts you into an instance with other people who have switched this on first, and only then with people who have not.
Simple way to resolve a problem.
Empyreal Fragments are used in the crafting of Ascended weapons and armor. Especially the weapons are somewhat worth the trouble crafting them.
There is no other use for them at the moment.
How about an in-game proximity VOIP function for commanders (and party members)?
Funny thing about walls. Currently it’s easier to kill a defender standing on the wall than an attacker that’s on the ground. I’m pretty sure walls don’t work like that irl.
I bet all the “old” Gandaran WvWers are really happy about the new influx of players they got. I mean, a queue of 100+ for all BLs and 200+ for EB at prime time must be their favourite pastime, right?
And yet some of them still come to the forums to gloat with their “success”. I’ll have my <10 minute queues rather than “success” any day, thanks
PPT+Glicko = Servers are matched against their most similar opponents as often as possible.
This horse has died a few thousand times, now.
Yeah… unless ANet gives free transfers just before they start a WvW season and lock the leagues.
But they possibly couldn’t do anything that stupid, now could they?
I concur. It should be a high priority to get some client optimizations in. Especially when we have got none since launch, pretty much.
I should not have to crank my culling settings down on my rig (i7-3770k @ 4.2Ghz and GTX780) to keep a consistent framerate, but I do.
The fastest way to get a legendary? Get a real job and buy one off the TP with the money you make. Sad but true.
interesting. even if this was your intention, you still used it as an attack (calling it an argument would be a glorification) against adding a dueling feature, when you just as well could’ve pointed out the incorectness of the method of argumentation on both sides and let it be – and I wouldn’t have called you out on it in that case.
I’d say calling any Internet forum thread an argument would be a glorification. It’s called sarcasm and before you climb even higher in your ivory tower I know sarcasm has no place in serious arguments (and we come back to my first sentence).
It doesn’t matter who’s got the best players. It’s who’s got the best coverage. Being able to have full EB 24/7 and all borderlands maybe 20/7 is what wins WvW.
It’s not called Coverage Wars for nothing. PvD in the middle of the night when the enemies are not playing is really difficult I hear.
So I guess congratz to Gandara for having a massive population round the clock. Enjoy your 300+ queue at EU prime.
Solved lol.
The only real solution would be to make all servers international with no distinction between NA and EU, but then that solution has problems too with latency.
According to reliable numbers 80% of the players want Dueling in the open world and 95% of the players want Dueling in open world or arenas. That is a total of 175% of players wanting Dueling in one form or another.
That means if you’re one of the people that does not want dueling, you are in the minority that does not exist.
well played sir, well played
yes – extremely well played. using bad comments as a strawman argument against the cause itself. you do realize both sides have made the same ridiculous claims?
the whole discussion about how many players want something or not is, as always, futile and should simply be ignored instead of derailing the thread even further with your clever (I’m sure you think so at least) remarks to stroke your ego.fact is, it’s a feature some people want and others never want to come in contact with. precautions need to be taken for the latter group not to be disturbed, if the feature is ever added. but if those are taken, there’s no rational reason to be against adding this feature except for wanting the devs to spend time on things someone personally wants more, which of course is a good argument, as the devs have to see what their target audience wants.
and on a sidenote: pvp arenas never were a decent alternative to a dueling because:
- possibility of getting disrupted or having to pay for a private arena
- wvw/pve players would not be able to use their builds/gear to duel with
- changing maps is necessary, while this feature would be very useful when having to wait ON a map
It was not an argument on the matter itself. It was an argument against people using “most people want this” when they mean “I want this and I think some other do, too”. Don’t use numbers you don’t have.
I’d also rather see polearms and/or 2h axes before javelins.
The only solution to this would be to have international servers with no NA/EU division. Then most servers should have an even coverage round the clock.
You can complete the dark room portion without dropping stealth if you turn up your brightness to maximum.
Nah you can do it in full darkness too. Just need to be pro
Got through the Gandaran arena camp yesterday. Kudos to the Gandarans for actually coming down to fight instead of just sitting up on the ledge. We would have killed you even if you did, but now it was easier
No.
Nononononono.
Yes that’s a normal temperature for a GPU under load. You can also see that your GPU is not reaching 100% usage because it’s waiting for the CPU. Try to overclock the CPU from BIOS to ~4,0-4,2Ghz and see if you can get 100% GPU usage.
You can retrait the PVE traits in edge of the mists ? Is there an option somewhere to switch from the PvP-Traits to PvE ?
You’re confusing the Heart of the Mist with the Edge of the Mist…

Plenty of options for a warrior to be strong in 1v1. You’ll still lose to a good mesmer and/or very good thieves, but other than that you should have a fighting chance against any class.
Obviously it all depends on your build. The more you specialize the more likely someone will come against you with a build that counters you.
The downside of making these tradeable would be that the prices for all T2-T5 materials would jump up even more.
Well they haven’t even revealed everything yet. 3 part reveal starting from tomorrow about “Facilitating Friendly Play”. I have no idea what it could be that takes 3 posts to explain…
Awwww come on. April Fools and you’re whining because you’re inconvenienced for one day in a videogame. Go Fool your co-worker/friend/spouse and lighten up!
You just answered your own question. You’re not supposed to be able to park your alts in the ship.
It could of course check if you’re holding the ticket in your inventory when you log in and wouldn’t kick you out if you did.
The latter question was why am I not supposed to park my alts in the ship? I know how it is, I don’t know why.
If you either bought the permanent one or the two weeks one, they’re time based not consumable, so I expect to be able to be on the ship for the duration of the pass.
Don’t know why? Because if it is made inconvenient enough, you will buy multiple permanent passes if you want that convenience enough.
I’m surprised no one mentioned that speedrunning/tagging zergs with a level 60 character is pretty darn ineffective.

They should have given an option to use this…. Personally I find it annoying and it has made me RAGE QUIT. Not fun in my opinion.
Oh come on, don’t lose your head now. You have to keep face.
You can look ahead to Wednesday already, when all this headless running will be just a bad memory in your head.
Your comparison would be valid if you’d compare seasons of McGyver instead. The amount of world lore in LS season 1 and McG season 1 are somewhat equal.
All the rewards in EotM are much greater than in the other WvW areas. You can farm ascended mats, gold, badges and WXP at least twice as fast as in the other areas. It’s pretty kittened up truth be told.
Hmm two tickets. Buy weapons at 1 per ticket when they’re on sale and then wait until their price goes to 100 gold and beyond. Profit?
why? everything is close together, it’s better than LA was
Yeah sure. It’s just missing minor stuff like crafting stations and that requested retrainer…
For those two, Ebonhawke or WvW are the best choices.

21 gold. Not a biggie.
This is why we can’t have nice things.
