People often think thief is bad 1v1, it’s not bad 1v1 at all, if you build for it.
except the fact that, thief’s most trait is related to stealth
which means, even if you win 1v1, you will lose the point due to stealth.
let’s see with the new Daredevil, it can bring something new.
but again, it’s godly 1v1 if you actually build for it.
the meta thief builds are made around having the idea of being the best +1 roamer.

what? it’s not only the class mechanics, it’s every thing a class can do to determine whether they are suit for tournament play or not, buff can be a thing, if they buff all the CC duration, damage to OP level, i ensure you, ranger will be in tournaments

Well, that Gyro is a perma shadow refuge mark
people will throw all the aoes in there, at least SR disappare with 10+ seconds stealth on you.
they can only stack 5 sec if they want the gyro to be gone.
It’s a choice you have to made, people use herald because it’s easy mode.
tbh personally i prefer mallyx because it has more play to it’s role, similar to thief mesmer, boon strip is needed.
and it has good skill cap and ceiling.

an ele’s weakness is having lowest armor and lowest HP which means you can be groupbursted down if you don’t pay attention, but that is being covered by runes of vamperism

TBH discipline is crucial for berserker.
so is fast hand.
Primal bursts are 5 CD cooldown which has almost perfect synergy with fast hands
also with swap gain adrenaline minor in discipline, it’s amazing synergy right there.

I am fully aware that the longbow is a far better option in terms of range warrior but my love for muskets in fantasy wins over reason.
LB is not a better option than Rifle, atleast not, if you play both weapons with power builds. Condi builds and Traited LB have much better AA than Rifle and that is it, while Rifle can “shine” as a single target power weapon.
LB is better even with power build, Immo is crucial for landing high damage attacks, 3 is AoE spike damage, F1 has good direct damage and can proc sigils for aoe damage.
blind is good for self defense, 2 is good damage close range, double hit auto has more chance of procing air fire.
you can also cover your teamate by placing aoes on them so people like thief will have more risk for chasing down your teamate.
sure, rifle does more damage on individual, but this is a team game, unless you talk about dueling, then rifle is just a mini longbow ranger…
yea, i liked the 2% speed with frenzy, feels cool.
I would rather have axe 5 differentiate from hundred blade, make it like rev sword 3 but single target and half the evade frame or something.
Because the setup is simply bad.
Dual Strike is low damage with short duration of fury
and Whirling axe…Sure, if you compare it with Hundred blade as a high damage AoE cleave damage, which can be rarely used.
Greatsword has other skill for moving targets, 3 does really good damage with evade frame, 5 is higher damage too.
the other guy said sword 3 burst, Greatsword burst skill does the same with only bit lower damage but bigger AoE lower CD and gives good amount of fury.

I always thought that defiant stance would make a great utility skill for warrior.
but then here’s revenant, with it’s second healing skill.
it’s also a longer version of traited defiant stance (3 3/4 seconds)
But in the end, it’s all about the insta-cast on top of all that that makes it too good.
I would remove cast time for defiant stance to begin with tbh.
like that 1/4 cast time wasn’t even made for skillful interrupt, but been there for annoyance..

Thief is amazing in conquest, but only if you play to its strengths, which is generally very different from other classes. Thieves excel at decapping undefended points with their unparalleled mobility and +1ing even fights to quickly turn the tide.
Also rez people with that shadowart trait line, stealth group, group burst

mallyx need buff and shield skills are fine, idk why you think shield 4 is bad, it gives protection on top of heal, that’s 33% damage reduction right there against zerkers.
Basically you can just chain invul (two shield 5 + heal) on top of dodge spam from shiro and weapon.
in fact i think herald abit too good, on top of what i said above, also on demand protection, on demand fury. others are ok tho.

needs to be able to immediately cast burst skill after berserk

berserk needs to have it’s cd reduced
it’s not for lore, it’s for balance
lighter, regardless of the starting hp, enemy or reflects, 5 sec cd skill with 6-7k damage unbuffed and no target limit is OP. Period.
They said primal bursts are weaker then normal bursts but have less cd and adrenaline required (see longbow), so this skill is a huge fail, since it’s 10x stronger then rifle normal burst.
normal rifle burst does way more damage with 6 sec CD and pierce 5 targets in that golem place, much damage, such wow, nerf normal rifle burst plox

you gain more dodge using pulsing heal, interrupting, stealing and stuff.

You absolutely can’t have the best team comp without a mesmer, a guard, and a warrior at the moment.
Mesmer just dominates everything in terms of utilities, condition damage and burst damage. Burning on guardian and boon support is better than on d/d ele, it has less dancing to do and more efectiveness + quickness. Warrior has the best elites, outstanding cc/s and mobility.Best team comp is:
1 mesmer
1 guardian
1 warrior
1 ele
1 engi
