I still fail to see what you seem to be. I don’t get how there would be any taking of “money from the majority”. I am not a person that upon seeing that transmutation is free on low level alts will go, “Hey now I will go make more alts.”

It will make playing that alt more fun to play.

When the game is fun to play, players can go ahead and buy more character slots.

Sorry. I’ve noticed my transmutation charges vanishing on my lower alts too. Because of that I’m either using an outfit to just cover it all or I’m just not caring. I don’t have the money to throw at NCsoft just for more charges….. BUT…. There are people that do.

Should ANet keep this to take money from the minority or change it to take money from the majority?

I stopped doing Boss blitz. It is boring, long and unrewarding. It suppose to encourage splitting up but there is no tools to encourage it.

So I am only in the pavilion for the daily Queen Gauntlet.

Yeah, Im 99.9% sure Id never get a group if someone saw my stats like that. I use my shortbow the vast majority of the time in dungeons because its the only weapon i feel I can use for most situations, but its not overly strong. As a thief Ive set up using mostly power, precision and toughness. Its not right for someone to kick me from a group just because they don’t like how I set up to play.

So make your own group. Only you get to care how you want your group to play or they get kicked.

It cost 0 gold 0 silver 0 copper to create your own lfg.

99% of the time, I never see the zerker/exp/level 80 parties. Should I put up and join the casual parties? No. I create my own lfg and watch how fast it fills up.

Woljnir is absolutely right.
I don’t feel like being excluded from every single dungeon just because people have decided that my celestial ele is worthless and that I should be running zerker. Just because there is a meta doesn’t mean the meta is the only viable thing. An inspect tool is a surefire way to promote exclusion in a game that is about inclusivity… The ONLY form an inspect tool would be acceptable in would be if it just showed you what skins someone was using.

Why did you join the “Zerker and experienced only!” parties? So far, only these parties exclude low dps geared players.

If playing how you want infringes on someone else playing how they want, nothing will ever be solved. Inspect someone and see they have their own build and aren’t zerker, kick right away without even saying anything. Am I doing it right?

Also DPS meters? Really? In a game that basically just consists of 5 man groups of all DPS, I don’t think DPS meters are needed in the least other than to stroke Berserker’s kitten and the need to see the big numbers. And yes, I understand you said nothing about Berserker, but that is honestly how your post comes off.

1. The other way around works too. If someone else plays how they want which I don’t approve, it will infringe on how I play how I want if I let them in my party. In this case, if you don’t want to take the time to equip for the right equipment in my party, then create your own party that accepts anybody even with lower gear levels.

2. There are people that wants to find the highest DPS ever and then there are people like me. I will need DPS meters to know how much DPS I have for this build. I can choose to sacrifice DPS for utility if I need to. Let say that I want to use Ranger Axe/Axe build. First I look for the highest dps possible, then I shave off the dps for utility/survivability if I choose to. There are builds for highest DPS for warriors; however, they all use Greatsword or axe/mace, yet there are no builds for highest mace DPS build. As a mace guy, I assure that it will reinforce on playing how I want.

And this is exactly why it doesn’t exist. Those people who don’t like a person’s build so they just kick them? Yeah, that’s you. The elitism just drips from your post. Sorry that you feel the need to approve of other player’s builds. The “right equipment” isn’t decided by anybody other than the player.

You missed the part where using whatever gear that will hurt the party dps will infringe on my playstyle. It is my party, I created the LFG with the title: “Zerker and experienced only!” I do not want to invite any players that will waste unnecessary time in the dungeon run with DPS so low, it will take for hours to complete.

If you don’t like the way how I play, make your own party. You don’t need to join my party. It cost 0 gold 0 silver 0 copper to make your own lfg. I do create and join parties that accept anyone. These parties do exist and there are players willing to join these parties.

i dunno guys, i use it on my GS glasszerker in pvp and it hits pretty dam hard,
so i cant say i hate it as much as many of you seem too, also the fury is nice before a Bolas+100b to bring the pain

It won’t remove afkers. Instead, it’ll create more.

The enemy has 300 points and your team has 50 points. Leaving will get you dishonorable debuff. So what now? Just afk and go onto the internet until it is over.

That’s absurd. People afk because they know they can still progress fairly well losing. Personally the reason I want this has nothing to do with afk. I want the newbs who want to be carried or auto earn rewards for losing out of arenas. Rewards for losing promotes bad play and bad players.

You are right people afk because they can progress while losing. But you are wrong that it is the only reason.

There multiple reason why people afk, so just because one reason exist doesn’t mean all other reason are not the reason. If the enemy team is advancing by 200 points, I will afk because there is no reason to continue anyways.

You can farm for transmutation in pvp i hope it help your problem.
I sure welcome the lesser transmutation charge which can be converted from normal charge at a 1-3 ratio.

The original design of the game did not even have hearts. Hearts were put in because people expected Quest NPC’s. They are there to teach you some mechanics for later in the game.

This should be a problem for hearts getting a small reward increase because…?

Reward for hearts is that you progress your map completion. AND you get karma. I think that’s more than enough.

I did over 1500 hearts btw. (5x map completion)

Playing dungeon and running eotm train gets you karma too.

Far more rewarding than hearts.

Maybe because dungeons and wvw are end game. Eotm doesn’t count though and I have a feeling the rewards for that game mode will get nerfed sooner than later.

I don’t see how an extra 2-5 silver dramatically end the ‘endgame.’

My response was in regard to your statement that dungeons and eotm had better rewards. There has been nothing but inflation since launch and I don’t care for any more of it tbh.

I never said gameplay should be less rewarding than farming. I hate farming and I hate zerging. Your reward for hearts is a mixture of cash, karma, experience and map completion. Seriously more cash even if it’s a few silver would have a negative impact especially if hearts where repeatable.

The person I was responding to did say that.

My rewards for dungeon/eotm is a mixture of cash, karma, and experience. Far more than Hearts which are NOT repeatable.

Scaling rewards by player level could work, but as Rezz pointed out, the hearts do give Karma, and access to the Karma merchants.

The same model could be adopted as the Daily reward to scale the coin to player level, but I suspect the worry would be further inflation.

No it wouldn’t. Using alts will be as unviable.

Plus it will encourage the players to rush through content so then he can min max rewards.

Archer Profession?

And Rangers have 1500 range autoattack, Barrage which makes a cripple field, stealth, and a reliable range interrupt.

Sadly barrage is a horrible skill easily dodged and due to retal, can often kill the ranger using it.
And now with Runes of Strength, it can provide large groups of enemies immense stacks of might very quickly.

Really all they have going for them is the ranged damage and the knockback at the moment, and even that’s kind of meh with all of the gap-closing in the game.

  • Barrage is a huge AoE. If enemies are dodging that, then they are not capping the point.
  • Retal hardly hurts me at all.
  • You underestimate the defensive strength of a 1500 range attack. It opened up new environments. I can camp on the cliff using my environment to protect me. Even their gap closers are not good enough. It is the equivalent to a 20 second endure pain if someone notices you. If the ranger doesn’t use the environment to protect themselves, they deserve to die.

Thief or Warrior have better bow skills than Ranger.

This is a blatant lie.

thief can apply large poison fields and deals huge aoe damage with cluster bomb without a cooldown, their auto attacks also hit pretty hard and bounce between targets.

and warriors deal massive hybrid aoe damage from permanent burning and bleeding combined with direct damage of combustive shot and arcing arrow,
also aoe might stacking every 10 seconds.

rangers do indeed need a buff to be the “master archers” that anet claim they should be.

And Rangers have 1500 range autoattack, Barrage which makes a cripple field, stealth, and a reliable range interrupt.

Blindspam.

You disable Jagged Horrors/Bone Minion/Flesh Golem/Shadow Fiend from attacking and you disable the Necromancer from making marks and attacking.

If something goes bad, just stealth away.

After accumulating at least 10g+, it seems that Heart rewards are just pitiful.

Is it too much to ask for 2 silver for low level reward and 5 silver for a high level reward?

If you are worrying about bots or new players inflating gold, the extra silver reward will have a requirement of 2k+ ap or the personal storyline quest finished or 2 level 80 characters.

I really doubt adding some silver to the rewards will destroy the economy any more than mindless boring champ farming. Then again, I want heart quest to be more rewarding than Mindless boring champ farming.

Champ farms are repeatable. Renown hearts are not.

Achievement progress suggestion

While walking in the crown pavillion I just realize how much I want the Living Story achievement to pop up automatically.

My suggestion is that achievement progression will pop up in the right hand corner automatically when you progress through the achievement.

Example, let say that you killed a grawl. The grawl slayer achievement progression will pop up automatically to notify you how much percentage are there left. Now let say that there is already the maximum amount of automatic achievement progression. In this case, it will remove the oldest achievement progression and fit in a new achievement progression system. If you finished your grawl slayer achievement, the achievement will never pop up automatically again.

If you locked the grawl slayer achievement onto the achievement progression bar, it will never go away until you remove it personally.

Why?

Current system is clunky. ANet should fix this because it will tell the players that there is something to achieve thus they will stay more and Anet gets money for more players staying.

The problem with longbow is that there is no other better secondary weaponset.

Longbow is the Warrior’s Utility weapon. Every other weaponset are just no good.

GS needs a buff to Arcing slice so that it can proc Cleansing Ire. That way, Players can choose between Longbow vs. Greatsword as a secondary weapon.

based on runeblade’s idea. i shoved “when swap weapon” in since this trait line is about swapping weapons. not sure how they gonna code “unaffected by blindness” though. for example, blind may be reapplied via black powder blind field, but the burst skill still can land a hit. also added adrenaline gain so the warrior gains 2 bars of adrenaline.

Discipline trait line is not about swapping weapons. It is about burst skills.

I prefer my version because it is simple to understand, and feels very balanced to the other Grandmaster traits like Heightened Focus and Burst Mastery.

uhmm, i think PvE players have a say about this far more then the pro-duelers, there are plenty of places to fit duels so there is no need to add PvP in the only single place for PvE players.

For Dueling – go to Obsidian Sanctum or make your own PvP arena and invite who ever you want to duel. Then duel to your heart’s content.

No to dueling in the PvE world – it is a slippery slope to Open World PvP.

I can’t duel my friends in Obsidian Sanctum.

PvP arena has griefers everywhere.

What is the purpose of this build?

This build is a Damage support build. By using FGJ and SoR, you grant 11 stacks of might to all of your friends. Empower Allies also boost power by 150 points. By swapping weapons, you also add in 3 more stacks of might. The Longbow Firefield and blast combo add 6 more stacks. If you are quick enough, you can use Earthshaker for another 6 stacks of might. So by existing, you boost all your allies with 21-25 stacks of might + 150 power. Imagine 4 players(assuming one player is at home point) with 21-25 stacks of might + 150 power.

  • Rune of Strength makes 6 second of might turn into 10.25 second of might.
  • Even after 10 seconds of might stack is up, your allies will still have
  • I wanted to add Sigil of Strength but there was no Precision in this build. So I replaced it with energy runes for more survivability.
  • Soldier Amulet is there because it makes you very tanky. What good is a support warrior if it is a dead warrior. Perhaps using Knight Amulet would be the better choice so I can slot in Sigil of Strength, but I haven’t tried that combo yet.
  • I chose Hammer and Longbow because of the fire field/blast finisher and because of the hammer’s incredibly strong CC. Other weapon sets are just no good at support/CC compared to the hambow.

How to play this build

  • Where the zerg goes, you follow. This isn’t a solo build. It works well solo like a normal Hambow build, but the build full potential is in a zerg.
  • If you know how to play Hambow, it plays like the same. CC the hell out of your enemies.
  • Use SoR and FGS when near an ally. You want to position yourself where the maximum amount of players can gets might stacks.

Why should you change your hambow to this build?

If you are using a zerker Hambow, there is no need to change it. Zerker hambow is different from Phalanx Hambow. Zerker version is high personal damage. If you are using the tanky Hambow, change it to this build because it offers more damage support and more survivibility in exchange for personal damage.

I used this in Solo queue, most of the midpoint fights are about overwhelming the enemy with big damage.

Dark Path is an insanely strong useful skill. It does not need redesigning. Any more buffs will nerf on other parts of the skills.

Path of Corruption is a 15 second boon conversion to condition. Which is insanely powerful.

one of my highlights of yesterdays pvp was oneshotting an ele with a 12k eviscerate from my axezerker XD
eles are no FOTM

One of my highlights of today’s PvP was soloing three warriors with my d/d ele.

I might be a good d/d player but I can’t even do that with my warrior.

Sigil of Ice is very useless.

I am okay with 2 second chill, which I can boost it up to 4 second.
I am okay with 10 second cooldown, which 4 second chill for every 10 second seems reasonable.
I am not okay with 30% chance.

I’m incredibly glad you are not in charge of ANY balance decisions.

Why?

I had to use Rune of the Ice, Sigil of Chill, and extra Condi duration stats to get that extra 2 seconds. I sacrifice a lot of utility and damage for this.

And then I figure out how useless the combination is because of the RNG.

So there are invincible guardians and engiees who heal for more than you can deal with 2 people next to you and many other cheap builds you can use. But so far the most frustrating one I’ve seen, is this cheap Stun-Warrior. I’m not even joking when I say I don’t get to click a single skill on my ranger, and that’s wit having some decent HP(carrion gear) and defensive traits(pet takes some conditions and knockbacks etc.). Today my entire team has been brutally murdered over and over again by this cheap warrior using hammer. I’m not sure what to do, if even with my defensive things, tons of dodges, fears and pushbacks, this warrior still can just jump on me and kill me in seconds, shouldn’t it be nerfed? What’s with the cooldown of this thing? I get stunned and knockbacked over and over again. Nerf it, please…a lot. That’s coming from a guy who’s favourite class is warrior.

Whats cheap about a warrior with hamm? its the slowest heavily telegraphed weapon ingame.Besides..Youre a kitten ranger you have 30 sec stabi available !!! Complaining without knowing the game…..
Also stop trying to insult people by calling them cheap just because they are simply better than you are,and you cant seem to deal with that.

As I said, easy in theory. And yes, I don’t need stability at all while fghting any other setting. Never had any issues – but I only have 2 dodges. My build wasn’t designed to block 3240923842390 stuns, but to avoid 2 at most. You make me giggle when you blindly defend this overpowered, cheap build.

If you were stunned 3240923842390 times, then you were stunned by 3240923842390 warriors. At this point, they don’t need to use earthshaker. They can just use auto attack to drop you.

Oh look, yet more assumption, in fact pretty much two solid pages of it.

Nobody knows anything at all about how mounts will be implemented, therefore:

1. You do not know whether players will be able to use them to drag aggro and grief. In fact if the system worked with mounts as it works on foot I can guarantee you this wouldn’t be any more possible with mounts than it is without.
2. You have no idea what mounts will look like, where they will be permitted, their size, shape, color, culling level, anything at all. And therefore do not know that mounts will be an ‘eyesore’, and no, having been an eyesore in other games says absolutely nothing about this one.
3. You do not know whether mounted speed would imbalance combat, PvP, or WvW.
4. If mounts are available in combat, you have no idea how that would even work, what gameplay it would add or what it would damage.
5. You’ve no idea how they would affect the economy as you have no idea how they would be obtained.
6. You’ve no idea at all about how much development time they would take. Quit making up bullcrap on this, none of you are game developers, quit pretending to be.

7. Most of all, you have no idea how many players want or do not want mounts. One group of forumites, obviously and heavily influenced by herd poisoning, says nothing at all about the opinions of the playerbase at large on the subject.

This post destroys all anti-mount arguments.
