Try being a Ranger.
Try being a Ranger.
Ranger gets kittened on again. Marksmanship gets a Grandmaster trait which fixes a bug in the mechanics?
My Suggestion:
Make Read the Wind standard, make Piercing Arrows standard, and merge Eagle Eye and Spotter. Then, replace Read the Wind with Close Quarters: your Longbow auto attack always hits for maximum range co-efficient. Make Remorseless a Master Trait, and replace it with a new Grandmaster trait.

I’d like to play SPvP without downed.

My sentiments exactly.

So I entered GW2 after a long break. What is going on?
Why are the dredge and flame legion working together?
Who is Scarlet?
Why is the city under attack?
Also, what is the edge of the mists?
If someone could give a brief breakdown of the living story so far, that’d be great.
Hi guys
Stopped playing 4-6 months ago, around the time when spirit regen was huge, shortbow range was nerfed and Arenanet was still claiming Longbow was viable. I think I was playing a power LB ranger just because I like Longbow, but in pvp I was a spirit condition ranger.
What’s changed, how are Rangers at the moment? Worth coming back and playing Ranger again?
I had 200 tickets on me when Dead Eye was ruined. What am I supposed to do now?
I have run into an issue where my character is stealthed but not to me. I have the buff but my character looks normal. It seems to happen when I shadowstep while stealthed.
If you are using 100%crit from stealth is the extra precision worth it? It would help when finishing off someone, but on the other hand, the toughness and healing power from valkyrie is tempting, and still maintains crit damage.
Suggestion:
Master’s mourning:
Increase damage by 25% when pet is defeated.
I completed the High Stakes gambler achievement using full zerk sword/warhorn signet of the beastmaster setup, but I cannot do it with squimish and frailty. Any advice on how you did it?
I also have a warrior, but I can’t do it on him either.
Also, best way to stock up on tickets? Join the zerg below? Buy them?
And what do you do with the bags? Sell them? Open them? What’s in them? [You can tell I haven’t been paying attention thus far.
I have heard about gauntlet farming, but how does it work?
E.G, if I was to repeat Tyre Ragemaw with 3 gambits, where does the money come from?
The mechanics are great, interesting and challenging. The issues with camera, the impossible to see red circles, and the running back and waiting are not.
Warrior
Sword+Shield for phase 1. Used shield block to take out groups of the death adds prior to the third throw.
Rifle for Phase 2. Ran in a circle, moved to the centre when I am pressured to get to the next area. Used Rifle but to take out orbs.
Update: Using Cipher’s tip [adjust Hue to +100% in Nvidia control panel] I was successfully able to complete Liadri.
Thanks Cipher, that helped. Now I just need to figure our how to do the fight. :S
After getting tangled in a fight with a Queen’s Champion, the NPCs started fighting each other.
I am red green colourblind.
I am unable to see the red circles which represent the insta-death fields in the Liadri Gauntlet fight.
Consequently, I cannot complete this fight.
I know I’m going to be disappointed, but I’m curious.
Did you link the wrong build?
Noted. But if I could bring discussion back to the amulet, why Shaman?
I’d like more of an explanation as to why, but would you suggest something like this then?

At the moment I run keen edges, and not sharpened edges, so no bleed on crit. That said what is the best amulet for a condition spirit ranger?
At the moment I run Carrion. There is also Rabid, Rampager and Shaman.
Advice?
I’m waiting for a new legendary longbow
I prefer 10 points in Marksmanship as I believe Keen Edge is better than Sharpened Edges. The Bleed on crit is only for 2 seconds. I run Keen Edge with a Carrion Amulet.
With this build you will do no damage and you won’t necessarily be healing your team very much either. Regeneration is based off the healing power of the target, not the original source of the boon. Therefore, someone with no healing power will not benefit much from your regeneration application.
Yes, though not as effective. The Signet only grants 50% health to illusions, not 200%, now. So the damage is still great, although phantasms can die much more quickly if focused.
Due to how terribly unstable the mechanics are if you are an Oceanic player or have high latency, many times those who still need the achievement are not lacking due to their own skill level. They can’t do anything about it.
It is selfish to take 1st every time. It is polite to wait at the finish line, though you are not obliged to do so.
Sorry, also: WvW [Roaming / Zerging]
What’s better [arguably more viable, or however you want to put it:
For levelling
For PvP
For Dungeons
There is no other weapon in the game with a more horrible #1,than the Necromancer Axe.
Ranger Longbow #1
Someone left in our Fractal 26 run today. We were about to finish the third fractal before Maw. He was the ‘leader.’ We all got kicked. He proceeded to laugh at us in whisper. He is now blocked. [We need more options to report someone.]
Something needs to be done about this. It’s a stupid system and only leads to frustration. There should be no ‘leader’ on which the entire dungeon is dependent on. We should be able to find a 5th, not start again.
Sanctum of Rall
Been up to ‘Beat up Malchor’ for 117 hours. Malchor has not appeared. Event will not progress.
I am also curious. I currently play my Ranger for CoF, but am considering gearing up my warrior just because there are so many fussy elitists who only accept warriors.
I think Your AP will correlate with your spendable points, but when you purchase something, your AP will still be the same, you just won’t have as much spendable points.
It may not be rushed for the devs, but it feels rushed to many players.
Too bad that u can’t chose the stat of the armor’s pieces u get from this jp; but at any rate a guaranteed exotic means more Ectos.
You can’t salvage it
Obisidian Sanctum is easier than this piece of puppy.
The level 10 restriction would be good. The fact that I can’t salvage this item is ridiculous. Arenanet keeps making mistakes and screwing those who were late to the party. It’s appalling.
